It was lovely to be staying in a real house, full of charm and atmosphere. Loads of space, books, games, even a wood-burning stove for the cool evenings. Perfect welcome by the hosts. If you are interested in boats, there’s a working boatyard right next door.

Nothing, except to note that you cannot walk into Ballstad itself. There is little to see there in any event.

L'emplacement de ce rorbue traditionnel au cœur du port de pêche, une jolie décoration rendant le lieu encore plus douillet. On voudrait y rester plus longtemps, on se sent comme chez soi.

L'emplacement du rorbuer nous a beaucoup plus, bien situé au cœur des Îles Lofoten, au pied du port de Ballstad. Les propriétaires ont été toujours réactifs et de bon contact.

Groot, authentiek en gezellig huisje op een goede locatie in het rustige Ballstad. Alle voorzieningen zijn aanwezig voor zelf te koken. De bedden liggen goed. Goed schoon gemaakt.

Casa grande e attrezzata, ottima posizione per visitare centro-sud ; di fronte a porto, non propriamente scenografico, ma in casa ci si sta poco!

Das Haus war sehr gut ausgestattet, warm und gemütlich. Ballstad ist der perfekte Ort zum Erkunden der Lofoten. Man erreicht alle schönen Ziele leicht und schnell. Die Wanderungen im Ballstad sind super.

En helt fantastisk upplevelse. Om ni hittar detta ställe ledigt, boka det, tveka inte! Huset ligger nära till havet och precis i mitten av lofoten och bra vandringsturer. Det är stort och rymligt och passar både vuxna och barn.

The rorbu was located in a quiet place and the decor was very rustic and homely, allowing us to experience how it was like to live in a fishermen’s cabin. It is also conveniently located in the middle of Lofoten, so it takes about a 1.5h drive to either Å or Svolvær, and a 20min drive from Leknes airport. The hosts were very friendly too! They took time to explain the various must-see sights in Lofoten and even drove 30min to the rorbu during bad weather to fix our toilet. Really appreciate that they went out of their way to make us feel right at home. (:

Partendo dal presupposto che la tv alle lofoten non sia necessaria...ma se c'è dovrebbe funzionare...il segnale saltava in continuazione.

Typisch verblijf in een authentieke Rorbu. Heel vriendelijke verhuurder. Rustige omgeving gelegen aan een haven van Ballstad. Alles in orde in het huisje.

Si tratta di un rorbu originale (ha più di 100 anni), tutto in legno, perfettamente ristrutturato dotato di ogni comfort, arredato con particolari e abbellimenti che riescono a mantenere una patina di vissuto tale da farci sentire immediatamente a proprio agio. E' molto spazioso, con un ingresso a pavimento riscaldato, due camere al piano superiore (5 letti) e un'ampia sala che dispone pure di un soppalco con altri due letti lasciati nello stile originale dei pescatori dell'epoca. Completamente attrezzato (lavastoviglie, lavatrice, forno, microonde, piastra induzione, tostapane, bollitore, set di stoviglie e pentole completo). Posto auto, WiFi. Situato nel porticiolo di Ballstad in zona tranquilla, un luogo dedicatoa pesca e senza caos, affacciato sul mare con una gradevole vista. Da Ballstad si raggiungono facilmente le zone più interessanti delle Lofoten e quindi considero la posizione ottimale dal punto di vista logistico. Il calore dell'ambiente è anche dato da oggetti di modernariato (specialmente relativi a barche e pesca) diffusi all'interno, a giochi da tavolo e per bambini e a libri qua e là, tutto contribuisce a creare un senso di calore che ti invoglia a godere della casa stessa oltre che del luogo. Una scelta per noi azzeccatissima e un dolore doverlo lasciare. Esiste anche un'area esterna sul mare con tavolo e barbecue, ma clima e neve non ci hanno concesso di usufruirne.

Difficile trovare qualcosa di negativo in questo luogo incantevole.

L’accueil et les conseils des visites aux alentours de Ballstad. Un véritable logement typique de rorbuer avec une belle âme.

Tipico rorbuer, accogliente e ben attrezzato. Caldo e con tanto spazio a disposizione. Davvero una sistemazione oltre le aspettative: ci siamo fermati due notti ma ci saremmo fermati di più. Host simpatici e disponibili. Ci rimarrà nel cuore!

Tutto bellissimo. Sembra di stare dentro una cartolina. Il rorbuer è magnifico, cucina attrezzata, vista sul fiordo. La proprietaria gentile e disponibile.

È un po' fuori dal paese ma comunque in zona illuminata.

It is like a small house which you have everything you need for staying in 4-5 days. The kitchen and wash-machine are there. The house is also very cosy and nice view nearby. We will come back again. 😊

The stay in Ballstad was a great experience and the perfect base for exploring the rest of Lofoten Islands. The cabin was incredibly cozy with all the necessary equipment for a perfect stay. I absolutely recommend this beautiful accommodation and superb host, Hege. She was really friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay here. It is a nicely renovated traditional fishing cabin. The host was there to greet us, show us around, and answer questions. We had everything we needed in the kitchen for making meals. The washing machine was also a great help. The beds were small but very comfortable. We felt right at home. This is also a great location to easily access almost anywhere in Lofoten.

Le propriétaire a pris bien soin de nous expliquer ce qu'il fallait visiter à Ballstad. Nous avons eu la chance de voir de sublimes aurores boréales.

Skvělá lokalita. Krásné, klidné místo a moc příjemná hostitelka. Ideální jako výchozí bod při prozkoumávání lofotských krás.

had everything needed and more. heated floors worked well. We even used the clothes washer and drying rack. Exceeded our expectations..

We had a fantastic stay here, a classic Rorbu experience. Great hosts, great communication, a lovely place to stay for a few days with comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen that packed a lot of functionality into a relatively small space. We enjoyed cooking our evening meals there. We had a direct view of the harbor, easy access to hikes, easy access to grocery stores. We enjoyed the wood burning stove, too! My son loved sleeping in the Rorbu loft, too!

La struttura è grande su due piani e al piano inferiore c’è anche un soppalco , disponibilità di svariati letti , fornito di tutto dal minipimer all’’aspirapolvere.. ci si poteva vivere ! Posizione perfetta fuori dal turismo ma vicino a tutto..

The property owners are extremely helpful and lovely, and go out of their way to show you around and make suggestions for your stay. The home was so cosy.

The accommodation was very comfortable and the location is great for exploring Lofoten.

Everything! I love 1000X with this place. From the communication thru this apps Hege attention very fast. She explain details. The property have everything that i want like stay at your own home. Washing machine with detergent, fireplace, kitchen, fridge and free first aid for us 😊. Really comfy and warm home. We cooked everyday. The location my expectation will be busy but suprised very calm and quiet even the boat passby. And what make me love even more almost everyday Aurora keep dancing in front of us. I just keep checking from the window. Can see from inside or just go outside. Breathtaking. Please do not think twice if u want to stay here 🙈

The rorbuer is nice and cosy, directly on the water, with the view of the port on one side and the mountain on the other. Ballstad has beautiful viewpoints and is in a perfect position to visit the south and centre of Lofoten. Hege and the husband are wonderful people. They have been helpful and kind. They equipped the house with anything we could possibly need, they gave us tips for places to visit and food to try, they have been super responsive and welcoming. I definitely recommend this stay. For the house, the hosts, and also the people in Ballstad, all very nice.

Whatever I say about this stunning Rorbeur will fall short of the marvellous stay we had here. Hege met us on the evening we arrived, gave us a tour of the property, explained the history and what a Rorbeur is. She also had the fireplace running and showed us how to start it too! The property was excellent…might I say a very niche place. There are lots of nick-knacks for wonderful photos (keeping with the nautical/fishing theme). We also saw faint Aurora on our first evening, and the second evening a stronger one. Hege also informed us of the Aurora in the sky over chat the same evening (so thoughtful of her as we told we wanted to see NordLys). I highly recommend this place for a relaxed stay. I wish we had a day extra to stay here and soak up this place and the wonderful town of Ballstad.

Perfect host, helpful and polite, very nice location by the water. The house is comfortable, very clean and cozy. We even managed to see the northern lights outside the house.

Had everything equipped to spend a few nights. The host Heigi waited for us at 8pm and showed us around the property which was lovely. Our whole duration was wet and windy so we cut our exploration time short so the cable tv came in handy!

TV size could've been bigger for the size of the accommodation.. Probably won't bother you if you get good weather and spend less time in the property!

The owner is very helpful n kind helping 2 of our members to gum their shoes that lasted the whole journey of the holiday.

We could not ask for more. Naustplassen Rorbuer is a real fisherman’s cabin. It is warm, it is cozy and has everything you might need during your stay. The Rorbuer is spacious and very well equipped. The communication with the host was great and it was a wonderful stay for us. We hope to be back!

An authentic rorbuer, with lots of space and flexible sleeping arrangements. Friendly host with good recommendations. We stayed two nights, perfect to visit lovely beaches, kayak in Eggum and good access to local walks.

The living are was really nice to hang out in. The location was good.

Both the main bedrooms have bunk beds and the height of the room is low. There is very little room between the lower and upper bunk beds and the upper bunk beds and the ceiling. It's a bit claustrophobic and we had to very careful not to hit our heads. It would have been nice to be able to fold the upper bunk bed towards the wall as we did not need 3 beds in each of the rooms.

Amazing Rorbuer. Very comfy and great for a group. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the whole stay was very pleasant. We have been so lucky to have had the nordern lights above us one evening and it was amazing!

Authentic Lofoten Experience. Not so touristy.

Beautiful, cozy home that was SO comfortable for our weeklong stay. The kitchen was excellent with everything we needed to prepare meals at home, comfy beds, comfy couch, responsive hosts, and fantastic location close to great hiking and a very nice sauna nearby!

Could use blackout curtains for during midnight sun! Had an eye mask though, which was fine.

The rorbuer is very cozy, well equipped, spacious and warm. The floor heating is a plus in the winter time. And you can stay around the fireplace when outside is snowing. Fantastic. Towels and bath soap. All great. And quick communication with the owner.

The location is probably the only weak point of this rorbuer. There is not a great view from the windows.

We appreciated the coziness of the rorbu as well as the openness of the hosts. From recommendations of things to do, places to eat and sights to see off-season, to all kinds of suggestions, Hege and Steinar were happy to help. We travelled with 2 kids (5 and 13 years old) and we found a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a lovely stove and some bedrooms with bunk beds. Everything was at least as we expected.
