Reviewed Sep 16, 2026We had a wonderful two-night stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable, with a large open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. Lots of space for a family. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped, and the spa was a fantastic bonus. A simple coffee machine would be a nice addition, although there are plenty of great cafés very close by. Our friends stayed in the apartment behind us, and were equally impressed. The host was very responsive and helpful. The only thing to note is that one of the three bedrooms faces the main road, so as others have mentioned, this may be noticeable if you are a light sleeper. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Reviewed Jun 6, 2026So much I loved about this property! Gorgeous aesthetics, bed was so comfy and everything new and lovely. Hot tub, heated floors in bathrooms, sensor lights at night so your pathway to the bathroom is clear. It’s is a very lovely place to stay.
If you’re a light sleeper, the place is on the main road and there are a lot of trucks passing through at night.

It is clear that a lot of care and attention has gone into arranging and finishing the interior, which feels both elegant and welcoming.The apartment is fully equipped with everything you might need, both in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. There are plenty of appliances and thoughtful details that make the stay very comfortable. The bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetics, which is a lovely and convenient touch. The beds are very comfortable, and the entire space feels bright, stylish, and relaxing. For four people, the apartment actually offered more than enough space. Another great advantage is the laundry area, which makes longer stays especially convenient. The location is excellent – very close to shops and great places to eat. There is also a parking space right in front of the door, which makes everything even easier. Overall, this is an incredibly elegant, comfortable, and well-organized place to stay. It truly feels special, and there is no reason to hesitate – we definitely recommend it.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025The apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos. It was perfectly clean, attractively decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The host was great too - she was proactive and quick to respond, and the instructions she provided were clear and comprehensive. Street parking was plentiful and everything is within easy walking distance in Ohakune.

Showers were amazing and lovely to have a hot tub for a soak. A well-equipped kitchen was an added bonus. The bunk room was cool for the kids. Everything in the place felt really well designed and considered.
You really can't fault anything here.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2025Can't recommend this accomodation enough! Fantastic communication with Victoria. This house! WOW!, so beautifully styled, had everything and more! Would love so many aspects for my own home. It is so spacious yet cosy, great central heating and under floor bathroom heating too! It has two bathrooms and loved that the main toilet was seperate to the main bathroom. Fantastic kitchen and lounge area, great for a larger group/family staying. There were games and puzzles for the whole family. Being on the corner and main road i was worried it would be noisy but it certainly wasn't. The old post office and the old vault door was such a great vibe. Will definitely stay again and will recommend to all my family and friends....ohhhh and that shower!!!!! AMAZING

Host was very direct and clear with their instructions and the hot tub was a nice bonus after a day of hiking. I only wish we had stayed here more than a single night, since it was a fantastic stay. I received an email from Booking.com telling me that my check in date was one day later than it actually was. Thankfully I ignore this and one of my team was in direct contact with the owner. Additionally, we didn't receive any of the additional details (eg. wifi, rubbish etc) until 5:00am on the morning of our departure. We therefore had to hotspot off our work mobiles to work on the evening before.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2023Rooms were lovely and comfortable. Laundry out back everything you needed and close to town. High-quality bedding.. so comfy. Mountain is spectacular.. lady from the information centre said the top blew off in 2007.
It's close to the road. I assumed it would be quiet at night . I didn't expect that many trucks driving past. Plus, don't have a heart attack when siren goes off at midday they are just checking emergency alarm for town.
