Like it all. Just a bit far for us for Cavan equestrian
Keys were in lock box, which is brilliant as not on a set time to arrive. Also when wrecked after very long drive, nice to just get in & relax.

The property was super clean and well organized. Very close to the village for shopping, pubs, and a restaurant. Beautiful surrounding and ancient my history.
Murray's cottage was a family friendly experience. The hosts were welcoming . Our 2 year old grandson enjoyed the play eqiupment.
The shower was very small.
The lodge was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Close to Killeshandra and some lovely walks. Pet friendly. Perfect for a relaxing break.

Very quiet and cosy place. Its got a fab kitchen for an airbnb with everything we needed. Hosts were on hand if needed but not intrusive. A very thoughtful basket of goodies on arrival was appreciated. We have family in the area so will definitely choose this place again when we are next over
perhaps the heating could have been on for our arrival as it was quite a cold weekend in March. No timer for the heating in a morning.
Stayed here with my wife and daughter. Great location and accommodation. The hosts were super helpful and friendly. We would definitely have no hesitation to stay here again
Nothing, all good
Fantastic hosts, superbly clean. Amazing little find and great distance from the equestrian centre for events
Nothing - it was superb

Really lovely lodge with everything we needed available. Host were very welcoming.
this is a wonderful and very cozy, clean and comfortable cottage. we were on weekend family and with dog and were pleasantly surprised that even dogs are given attention and there is a separate cabinet with toys, treats and bowls for dogs. comfortable huge beds, clean kitchen with everything you need. hospitable and friendly hosts. we are very grateful for a wonderful weekend and will come back again
Place was as photographs suggested, it was very clean, bed was comfortable and standard of bedding was excellent. Aine greeted us with the key, she was very welcoming and appropriate. The complementary tea, coffee, milk and biscuits was a nice touch and much appreciated. The kitchen is full equipped, we didn't use it but would be good for those who need it. Also, there is wifi, we didn't use either but great for those who might need it. The bathroom is small but fully functional ( apart from a continuous flashing light that I'm sure Aine will have fixed for the next clients). It is a lovely summer rental and they allow dogs which was great for our bichon frise whom comes everywhere with us. Although the property is on a rural road there is a footpath back in towards town which is great for walking the dog.
It was extremely cold, the bathroom is at the end of the building and was literally an ice box. There was electric heaters but it took along time to heat up ( the bedroom heated up quickest). Aine texted to advise to turn off heat when not in the property however as soon as we turned off the heat the place was like an ice box again. I actually normally would not require much heat but if we are honest it was actually warmer outside than inside so unfortunately, the heat needed to be left on in the kitchen/lounge area and because we were instructed to turn it off we felt bad about using it and that made us uncomfortable and it ruined what is otherwise a lovely property with great attention to detail and cleanliness. We didn't use the shower because the bathroom was freezing and when you put on the heat, it kept turning itself off, the heater was too small anyway to make any impact on the coldness to be honest. You could see your breath! Also, you had to be over 6ft to be able to reach the switch which was fine for my husband but at 5ft 4 I could not reach it so it might be an idea to leave that switch on when people book in so they can pull the string for the heater. This will be a lovely summer rental when it's not as cold or it can be a lovely winter rental if the building was retro fitted and we are not instructed to turn off all the heat when not in the property when it's 0 to 4 degrees outside and colder inside when you return.
Lovely, comfortable accommodation, had everything we needed, "doggie cupboard" a great touch. Owners very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend it😊
Great lodge, great location for town and walks. Great owner, couldn't do enough for us 👍
2 incredible king size beds. Quiet and peaceful. Nicely equipped for self catering. Hosts made us very welcome and solved some small issues promptly.
Nothing!!
The property was lovely and cosy and had absolutely everything you would need for a self catering stay. We did a good bit of exploring around the Cavan/Tyrone areas and it was a great base and location for that. Áine was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend and will come back if ever in the area!

Loved it !!
Nothing was perfect !!
Murray Lodge was a great place to stay, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds and had everything we needed, lovely touches such as fresh milk in the fridge, tea and coffee. The location was perfect as we were competing in Cavan Equestrian, and it was only 15 minutes away by car.
Absolutely nothing.
Location great, were jumping in cavan town so 20 mins away, close to town 10 min walk
Floors were chill, bring slipoers
It was a lovely space for a family of 4 and a small dog. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and we felt comfortable during our stay.
Just loved everything.
The location was lovely and the hosts were friendly.
It was cold when we stayed here.
The heating was very efficient, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The host could not have been more accommodating especially as she had not received notice of the booking from Booking.com till the morning after we arrived.
I’m struggling to think of anything we didn’t like.
Breakfast not used, the location is spot on for touring around Cavan Co.
Could not improve.
Áine was so friendly and helpful. The area was extremely quiet. Murray's Lodge was comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was a fifteen minute walk (on a footpath) from the bus stop, which was important, as we had no private transport. Walks in the town and surrounding area are peaceful and scenic. We were able to walk from Murray's Lodge into the middle of Killykeen Forest Park, and walk back afterwards. There was a wonderful café (Nana Tilly's) on the greenway to Killykeen, which we enjoyed on the way out and on the return journey! We sat outside Nana Tilly's enjoying the fabulous lakeland view. We also hiked from Murray's Lodge to Drumlane Abbey, a beautiful ruin in a breathtakingly beautiful situation. There are some gravestones in the surrounding graveyard that sre worth seeing. There is a well-stocked shop in Milltown, which is beside the location of Drumlane Abbey. We got takeaway tea and some picnic items in it, which we enjoyed at the picnic table adjacent to the shop. The looped walk in Killeshandra is gorgeous, and there are interesting old churches in and near Killeshandra as well. The hotel in the town served lovely food, and we also enjoyed the fare in the café in the middle of the town. We bought all of our groceries in the two grocery shops in Killeshandra. Cavan town was a twenty minute bus journey away, providing us with more to do. There are quiet areas for walking out the Glenside Road from Cavan town, and the Glenside Road can also be used to start a peaceful walk to the back way into Farnham Estate, going along roads with little traffic. We walked and lunched in Farnham Estate, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If our stay had been longer, we could have used Local Link buses to reach more places to explore. We met helpful, friendly people everywhere we went.

Accommodation had everything we needed, and I mean everything! Anything we thought we forgot, there it was! Alot of thought put into the little things you might need when away from home with kids. Aine was so friendly, left us to our own devices but checked in now and then by text to see if we needed anything. Our kids even got to play together on the toys and swings outside. She was even so kind as to see if we needed a travel cot and high chair before we arrived, which left us space in the car, and had the travel cot set up when we arrived, a very welcome help after a long drive! A nice remote location very close to one of Cavan's lakes. Ask Aine about the beach to.swim at, we only found it on the evening before we left.
Can't think of anything
We had a lovely stay at Murray's lodge.everything you could want for a self catering stay and more
We had a fantastic break. Host Aine met us and provided an extra fold up bed for me (the mammy) as boys sharing bedrooms. Lovely thoughtful touches included basics like bread, eggs, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits etc all available and even dishwasher tablets left for us. I left washing out to dry and Aine was so kind she actually folded my dried laundry and left bagged on doorstep (sheltered from rain) as it started to rain. Extra towels etc offered and loads of advice on where to eat and in advance on activities in the area and facilities. Could not have asked for a better host... Even a dedicated doggie cupboard with pet bowls etc although had brought our own. Will definitely try to stay again if available!! Thank you Aine & family

Lovely accommodation. Very clean with a full kitchen. Dog friendly. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Nice spot for families travelling with children. Would highly recommended and would stay again.
Excellent stay. Well presented, clean property with friendly and helpful host. Large comfortable beds and lovely quiet area, convenient location.
Great location and easy to access property. 2 fantastic sized bedrooms with massive beds and a great wee bathroom. Kitchen / living area fantastic with access to WiFi and all the equipment you need to make food. Dogs are catered for as well with their own little cupboard! Hosts were fantastic and great at recommending things to do and eat! Lots of brochures with plenty information. Áine was also so kind and left bagels milk tea coffee sugar and some chocolate! Try the Lough Bawn Hotel for good home tasting food! Yeelong Chinese also good for takeaway including Chinese, burgers, pizza, chips and kebabs!
