The water heater took awhile to heat up, the creaky floor and take note that you have to climb up a few stairs and go up a small slope before reaching the property

The interior is beautifully decorated and genuinely comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. Everything you need for a memorable stay.

Reviewed Apr 18, 2026숙소가 오아마루 올드타운에서 매우 가깝습니다(도보 5분) 체크인과정이 쉬웠고 숙소가 매우 청결하고 아기자기하니 이뻐요. 거실과 방마다 스마트tv(삼성)가 있어서 좋았고 방마다 전기장판있어서 따뜻하게 잤습니다. 다만 올드타운에서 가까운 만큼, 오래된 집이어서 방음은 잘 안되는 점은 참고하세요.
숙소에 약간의 추가양념(파슬리가루 등)이 있으면 좋을 것 같습니다. (지금은 소금,설탕,기름 정도 있음) 세탁기와 건조기가 조금 연식이 있는 점은 아쉬웠습니다.

Only thing was that the kitchen wasn’t that well equipped - no dishes for cooking in the oven and minimal other equipment. Not a problem for one nights stay but if you’re staying longer it was a bit bare.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2026The property is described as a three-bedroom apartment, but it is really the size of a house. We loved the way the place was decorated, and it had everything you needed including washing machine and clothes dryer, altough I used the stand up clothesline as there was plenty of sun. They also supplied washing powder, dishwashing powder as well as oil for cooking and things like glad wrap and baking paper, these things come in handy when travelling. The outdoor balcony was lovely for having a glass of wine in the early evening with a lovely view. Oamaru is a very pretty town and accomadation prices are very reasonable. There was only two of us, but this place was so pretty and affordable. I would definitely recommend this property, we loved it. Oh! I will mention of course the bed was comfy and there was planty of bedding. The property was easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and the only thing we drove to, was the penguines. If you are in Oamaru on a sunday afternoon, you must go to Scotts brewery as they have live music there,beautiful and we were lucky enough to get a great band.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2025Beautifully decorated and comfortable property. Perfect for 2 couples. Great location very near the historic Victorian neighborhood, penguin colony, Steampunk HQ. Several restaurants nearby. Don't need a car to get around. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Didn't matter much to us, but some might not like having to park on the street and bring all the luggage up a walkway that included a few stairs.

Tasteful nautical themed decor, modern kitchen with dishwasher. Several different seating areas. We didn't use the large TVs nor the laundry, but they are there for guests to use, Good number of towels supplied. Great water pressure in the shower. Excellent communication from the owner.

And as we found out, the home is very close to a wonderful public pool. Omaru was a fun visit on our journey. Only sorry we could not stay for longer. I would definitely recommend and stay again😀😀 to

We felt that the house could do with a deep clean. Dust behind furniture and the paintings and wall decorations needed a good dust/clean. The main bathroom shower was in need of replacing as the water pressure was poor. Aside from that the general standard of cleanliness was more than acceptable.
