Wir hatten gedacht es seien zwei Schlafzimmer, was nicht der Fall ist. Außerdem sehr ringhörig zum Nachbarn, man hört jeden Schritt von oben, so dass man davon aufwacht.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Large spacious apartment with private parking space and private entrance. The studio was equipped with everything I needed. Very comfortable, very clean. Easy check-in and check-out procedure. The property is close enough to the city centre.
As the studio is one floor beneath another in a 2 storey house, very light sleepers might be affected by the footsteps/movement of the unit above.

Even though it’s been updated the building is old so could hear the guests moving around upstairs, unfortunately they seemed a little inconsiderate. I prefer a king size bed which would easily fit in this space but it was a very comfy bed.

It was a little dark. If you opened curtains it was right on street. No outdoor space despite pictures of some.

TV was set to Chinese so took a bit to get it back to English. Older style but that is relevant to the price. Do need to drive to get anywhere.

the beds, pillows and blankets had a musty smell on them, as if it hadn’t been washed for a long time. there was hair on the top bunk pillow. house itself was also very cold despite switching on heaters. the house walls are definitely thin, could hear people walking upstairs.

The neighbour upstairs was very loud and stomping around very late at night. My 11 year old son did not fit on the bunk bed. We had to leave and find other accomodation after one night.

The bunks.Too short and very hard.Really more suitable for children not adults. The cleaning of some areas needs to improve.The couch had crumbs on cushions and dirt and tablets under them.Furniture needs to be pulled put and cleaned behind.

Cleanliness can be improved (paintings or photos) behind back have some kind of cocoon. Frame in the toilet already broken. Some part of the wall need slight repainting since its common with active incoming guests, the wall will get bump regularly and will leave stain or dirt. Sound from above sometimes can be quite loud (foot steps). Again cleanliness can be improved

房子只有洗衣機沒有烘衣機。但真正的問題在於，沒有烘衣機卻又缺乏晾衣架。假如能夠提供一個夠大的晾衣架，即使是活動的也沒有關係，整體而言會好非常多。另外，房間實際上是把原本的一間房子分割成兩間房間出租，因此會聽到樓上的房客非常大聲的走路聲。

Reviewed Jul 14, 2025The spaciousness/ open plan feel. Good quality bed and bedding. Easy parking and proximity to the centre of Dunedin.
Strong smell of washing powder as we came in. Had to open all the windows even though it was cold outside. Lux to us would be underfloor heating , electric blanket on the bed (not having it on the bed in winter is wrong) not in storage. No ground coffee for the plunger and 1 choice of tea bags is hardly lux.

The beds for the 3rd and 4th person are short bunks built into the wall. It states on the listing that the room caters for 4 adults - it should be 2 adults and 2 children. My son is 6ft 2 and the 3rd/4th bed were not ok for him.

Only down side were the occupants upstairs making a racket for several hours,stomping around etc. Luckily they quietened down later in the evening.

Unfortunately the milk left in the fridge was off. Was left in a little milk jug and you could see the lines around the jug has evaporated down so not sure the last time it was checked but it stank. In saying that I contact the host who was very responsive and did offer to bring some long life milk. Also whoever lives upstairs was clomping around till well after midnight it was so noisy so didn’t get any sleep. Lots of cobwebs in the bathroom too that need some attention hanging from lights. Unfortunately it’s these little things that make a stay disappointing for guests.

It had a washing machine and a large bathroom with excellent hot water. Plenty of space with a separate sitting/dining area. Off street parking was provided.

I dont like the heat pump, it took forever to get it up and running. The wall was so thin that could hear upstairs walking around. It was 1 am but luckily they didnt make too many noise.
