Reviewed Sep 8, 2026We absolutely loved our stay. We travelled with a toddler and they'd prepared lots of really cool toys for him, which was really nice. The house is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and excellently equipped. We'd love to come back someday!
The mattress was too soft for us, but that's a personal opinion.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Ein sehr schöner Ort, um die Natur Norwegens richtig geniessen zu können! Fjord und Berge liegen vor der Haustür und der traumhafte Ort Sommaroy ist auch nicht weit. Rentiere tauchen unverhofft sogar vor der Haustür auf. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und die Gastgeber zuvorkommend und gut erreichbar.

Reviewed May 30, 2026Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut erreichbar, die Lage ist ruhig und hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Fjord! Die Ausstattung ist prima, um selbst zu kochen und sich wohl zu fühlen.
Nichts - nur ein kleiner Hinweis: eins der Betten / Matratzen ist sehr weich. Das ist aber je nach persönlicher Vorliebe.

The hause is 200m away frm the viewing point Ersfjordvegen. A good location to see Aurora should you are lucky, we were.

La route depuis le centre-ville traverse des paysages magnifiques, l'emplacement est idéal pour se reposer au calme. La cuisine est très bien équipée, la literie très confortable, un très bon volume bien chauffé en hiver. Nous avons eu la chance de voir des aurores. Tout était très bien, Merci d'y avoir contribué.

Es bietet eine schöne Ausstattung und einen praktischen Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Die Lage ist ideal – ein perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Aurora-Abenteuer, egal ob zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto. Der Blick auf den Fjord ist einfach traumhaft. Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich habe mich als alleinreisende Frau jederzeit wohl und sicher gefühlt. Mein Aufenthalt war leider viel zu kurz, aber unvergesslich schön – ich komme sehr gerne wieder!

Reviewed Sep 11, 2025Der Blick auf den Fjord ist unglaublich und das Haus trägt seinen Namen zurecht: wir konnten die Nordlichter von der Terrasse aus beobachten. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet und sehr gemütlich. In der Umgebung sind schöne Wanderungen und Ausflüge möglich und auch die Stadt ist nicht weit entfernt.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2025Amazing view! very well equipped: it had everything you need to cook, it even had coffee and coffee filters, and a soda stream machine. It also had a huge tv and a wireless bluetooth speaker. Washer & dryer worked well and soap was provided. Although, the best thing for us was the location, in a very quiet area, away from the center and near amazing trails. We got there from the airport by bus on a Monday without problem.
A bit exposed to the road, the price for an amazing view.

The place was well equipped, tastefully decorated, and could easily accommodate four people. Marcin and Karolina were friendly, very accommodating, and helpful.

Great view of the fjord through the large windows in the living room. I've never met a friendlier host than Karolina.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2023The apartment was great, large couch with a big front window towards the fjord (unfortunately also the road) We had all the kitchen utensils needed to cook for ourselves. The location itself was easy to reach by car and parking space was available right infront of the house. The bathroom had everything you could need and more.
The road was quite busy when we where there and it was a lot brighter than we had hope in terms of seeing the aurora borealis. The noise from the upstairs apartment was quite loud and the bedroom was a little small. Personally I would have prefered the bed in the room with the second coch

Reviewed Sep 2, 2023New good size apartment on ground floor. You can park right next to it. Overall we enjoyed our stay. TV with Chromecast. Washing machine with drying was convenient. Comfortable sofa and bed with linen. Hiking and fishing possible nearby.
Public road goes by just front of the apartment living room window - more visual than noice issue. Yard needs attention with grass or something and maybe little fence next to road that still doesn't block partly view to mountains. Shower cabin could have been bigger, there is space for it. Some walking noise from upstairs where the host lives - just living noices nothing more. There was no grill on this apartments terrace even though it was advertised.

Reviewed May 21, 2023The apartment is clean with good space, and the kitchen is tidy equipped with utensils necessary for cooking. There are many wardrobes and cabinets for travellers to store things.
One of the bedroom is very small with a small double bed. Descending from the bed is quite challenging, one person needs to descend from the end of the bed, not too easy for older people I suppose. The bathroom is spacious, however, the shower cabinet is tiny, that's another challenge if you are a big guy, I think it is worth enlarging this shower cabinet if owner has a budget to do so (just a suggestion).

Reviewed Apr 2, 2023This is the best stay I have had in a year. Me and my wife went there on March. The place is a little bit far from town but near to a lot of trails walk and aurora spot. All the instructions that you need to get in the apartment are easy to understand. The apartment itself has everything we need. The host is so friendly and he even text me when there’s aurora outside the house which we can just see it through the big windows. Definitely will come back!

Reviewed Feb 25, 2023The stay at the House of Aurora I was just perfect. Marcin was a wonderful host. He gave us many usefull informations about the area. The apartment has everything you need. It's also so cozy. You feel like home. The nature at Ersfjord is stunning. We saw eagles, dolphins, otters and many other birds at the Fjord. We also had the luck to see the Aurora right from the window of the apartment one night. All in all we had a awesome stay without any negative experiences. We already plan to come back in summer to explore the area a bit more.
