Property looks cosy. Magnificent views from living and deck areas. Kitchen: Plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery provided for those who wish to cook. Recommendation for guests who plan to cook own meals: bring own cooking oil and condiments.

Booked the property on the strength of reviews. Normally a reliable way to book. Not in this case. On checking in, it is clear that the property description in Booking.com is totally inadequate and does not prepare the guests for some unpleasant surprises. No bed sheets or pillow cases. No towels. For those who arrive after reception is closed or who don’t check before going to bed, they will have to sleep in potentially unhygienic conditions. We went to reception who advised that the system on Booking.com is supposed to include a prompt for guests to advise if they need bedding and towels (which will be provided at a cost of NOK100 each). Looking at the reviews, mostly from abroad, it seems the property is of the view that guests are happy to haul their own bed linen and towels in their suitcases, just in case the property does not provide these. On pointing out this deficiency at reception, we were provided with bedding and towels at no cost. Making the beds was not included. The mattresses are very poor quality and I’m not confident that previous guests bothered to request bed linen or pillow cases from reception. Cleanliness and hygiene is therefore very suspect. Recommendation for accommodation provider: use softener for the towels. No toiletries (soap, shampoo) provided in bathroom. No firelighters or matches provided for solid fuel stove. This was not important as the evenings were relatively mild and a convection heater was also provided. Conclusion- Such a shame that a cynical approach to cutting costs (no bed sheets, pillow cases and toiletries), takes away from such a magnificently located property. Booking.com is also at fault here. There should be some minimum evidence provided in the form of property description, facilities provided, and what is not provided (but will clearly be needed) etc.

La Baita è molto bella, dall'annuncio non si capisce. Ci sono due camere, una con letto king size e una matrimoniale con un terzo letto aggiuntivo a castello. C'è poi un soppalco in soggiorno con altri due letti bassi. Comoda zona living e bella terrazza sul fiume. Lavasciuga comodissima per chi viaggia. La zona è molto bella. Consigliatissima

Having some basics on site like salt and pepper would have been helpful.

Мебель старая. Кровати не удобные, еще разетки в спальне нет - это доставляет определёные неудобства. Что бы набрать воду в чайник, нужно приложить максимум усилий. Были в декабре - холодно, топили печь, спасибо дрова включены в стоимость. Постельное платно... много ньюансов - уточняйте сразу!

Chalet très sympa et authentique avec une jolie vue sur l'eau. Sur conseils j'avais demandé la cabine 3 et effectivement elle est mieux placée.

Beautiful location right on a stream. Good size for a family (two bedrooms plus two beds on a mezzanine above the living area.) In the centre of Eidfjord near shops (the cabins are part of a camping ground).

Some things in the kitchen weren’t properly clean and the apartment felt a little shabby. The cabin was really hot but we could see no way of adjusting the heating, we just had to open windows. The dishwasher was broken.

Great location right on the fjord. Hidden gem with great value for the price.

No socket in the bedroom, it broke so it was blocked off instead of repairing it. the patio furniture needs replacing.

Absolutely loved this place… gorgeously positioned on the water.

The view from the apartment is breathtaking and the location is perfect! There are very nice walks accesible directly from the house. The host was very responsive. The place is very well equiped and clean. We didn't miss anything. We will be back!

Fantastic location - Adjacent to River and Fjord… you feel like you are actually on the water… excellent light into property - great windows. Lots of space and all needed items were present. Clean, Balcony, patio space, etc, etc, just wonderful … my family loved it…. Thanks. Value for money is outstanding. Very polite and courteous service from Helena and Lars.

Nothing really… ideally there would be 2 bathrooms… but this was never expected.
