Everything was pretty good, we knew the shower/bathroom was seperate to the chalet but would’ve been amazing if it was connected. And the brightness from the high windows in the morning but to be expected.

Perfect place to relax and unwind. Clean, comfortable, beautiful views.

Beautiful spot. Lovely outdoor area. Comfortable and quiet. Good to have use of a washing machine.

Breakfast was great and the host were lovely. Bit hard going to the toilet and shower.

The images of the outside of the property were a little deceptive . Had to go to the beach for a view of the sunrise.

My wife and I had a marvelous stay here at Ocean-view Chalet. Peaceful location with exceptional views. Very private with all facilities available at your fingertips. Exceptionally clean and welcoming. If one is looking for a place to turn up and relax without a worry, then this is the location for you. Highly recommend, A+++.

Lovely location in a quiet spot overlooking the ocean. Stargazing from the comfy bed at night listening to the ocean waves. 15min walk from door to beach. Watching the sunrise from the beach.

Location and the cottage was neat and clean.

The bathroom being a few steps away in a small building was a bit of a surprise, but not a problem. Private, clean and well appointed. Be advised there are some steps to get to the cottage.

A cute Chalet flooded with light with an amazing view of the ocean or the impeccable garden/citrus grove. Rob and Kylla are really accommodating and provide great descriptions to find the place and also recommendations for things to do in and around Gisborne. We really loved our stay with them and would have loved to stay longer.

Private hideaway with gorgeous views. Great bed,shower,kitchen facilities and super owners. Everything you need for a comfortable stay :-)

Unique, private and peaceful on a lovely property. Fantastic views of the ocean. Great stargazing. Good space for 2 people. Just up the hill from a long beach. So glad we stayed there.

Had all the facilities, very private, comfy bed and fantastic view. Ceiling windows were a bonus for seeing stars whilst in bed at night.

Steps down to property a little slippery but just need to take extra care especially at night.

The location! Wow wow wow!!! You can star gaze from the warmth of the bed itself. Spacious and cozy all the at the same time. The host was amazing… responded quick and gave detailed instructions and also included information that made the drive there easier.

The place has a lovely private outlook. Parking is up by the owners home but the B&B chalet is set behind and very private. You are invited to sit in the small orchard next to the property and even pick fruit if in season. You have views of the ocean and we listened to this during the night. Continental breakfast was provided and it was lovely. The bathroom is private however in a small building next door to the chalet... all worked out well and we had a very comfortable night here

The only down side was having to go outside to reach the bathroom.

The stairs were mentioned in the information - they were a bit challenging for one of us, but she managed as they were very well constructed.

Let’s get it over with, the bathroom is a separate small building a few covered steps from the studio and to access the studio there are a number of wooden steps to circumvent with your suitcase. But it says that in the description right? Otherwise a beautiful carefully furnished fully fitted studio with a stunning view. Just lovely.

You can’t access the beach and could have done with somewhere to hang washing and some pegs as it blew off the dryer.

Thoroughly enjoyed the property. Lovely location great views, kitchen was well provisioned. Bed very comfortable.

The unit and the setting is exceptional. Never experienced a similar unit and location. All amenities included in the unit.

We enjoyed the quirkiness of it's style, the great view out over the ocean & the lovely garden that surrounds it.

The bathroom (toilet, shower & laundry) are in a separate room outside about 5 steps away from the little Chalet.

Beautiful cottage with amazing views. Very private and cosy. Excellent breakfast supplies. The small touches like books, games, blankets and seating make for a comforting stay. The sunrises!! What a bonus!

This Chalet is a very cosy, beautiful and made with love holiday home. From the first moment you feel reset. The stunning view over the coastline is breathtaking. Doing the dishes with this view is my new favourite activity. Also, the room was very large and had all the comforts you could even ask for.

The bathroom was perfectly clean, large and pretty, too. It is placed in a tiny house next door. But since the weather was windy, rainy and dark it was a little cold and wet to reach.

The Chalet is very comfortable, clean private with everything you need. We loved the sea views and hearing the ocean was very calming.

Such a cute comfy room with a great view. The lovely bathroom was just outside it was close & under cover.

There were a few more stairs to the place than we realised - not a problem tho except the day we left it was raining. But our thoughtful host Kyla had called us to say she would help us - we didn’t need her help but really appreciated her asking.

This is a nice studio tucked away below the main house but with a good view out over Wainui. It is set in a large green lawn, which was popular with birdlife.

The only quirk of the place is that you have to go outside across the patio to the toilet/shower/laundry building. Very bach.

The bathroom is outside the room , can be scary at night if you want to use the toilet plus too cold to go out after showering of the bathroom to the studio , the lock on the bathroom door does not work This is a minor issue compare to everything else was perfect

- Disliked that the bathroom was in a separate room to the bedroom/kitchen area. 5 metres to walk in wind rain and dark - 22 wooden steps to accommodation - was out of Gisborne - difficult to chrome cast to tv. Would prefer tv.

Great place, gorgeous ocean view. A very nice house with large windows and light (at night you could see the stars from the window). The house was beautiful inside and out. I would have liked to stay here longer.

This was the nicest cottage with a wonderful view of the ocean, situated amid a lush green garden with succulents and orange trees. It is a large room with a fully equipped kitchen and all-round windows, bright and airy. The bathroom is private and in a separate building but just a covered short outdoor passageway from the cottage door, lit up at night. It also had a washing machine with detergent provided, which came in quite handy. the whole thing is very private, and we were only sorry that we only spent one night here. We would definitely come here again and hopefully spend more time.

Modern and well equipped chalet in immaculate condition. Quiet and peaceful location with picturesque views of the coast. Lovely. Wasn’t aware that the bathroom was a few steps away outside the door but was actually very manageable and it is also very clean and modern.

We woke up to the sight of Matariki rising and the sound of the ocean waves. The space, is remarkably spacious and flawlessly maintained, very clean and has all amenities we needed, creating a feeling of a home away from home. The property is nestled so perfectly that the sea breeze was present right into the living space, which has tall ceilings, and large bifold doors and from it you could see the fabulous skyscape to the east. We travelled for work and it was perfect to do our chores after a busy day, no need to spend time in cafes working, but headed straight back to relax and enjoy the landscape. The word 'accommodation' simply doesn't do justice to what was truly a remarkable experience. The hosts are excellent.
