We were pleasantly surprised with the daily, tasty treats and the cleanliness of our unit was remarkable. Will definitely stay at Mountain Rose again when we visit Cape Town as it well located and is perfect for two people.

The owner also added a lot of personal, welcoming touches to the room that made us feel welcome. Really good value with its central location. Will definately stay there again in future.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026The little extras and attention to detail was absolutely amazing. From wet wipes for make up to little chocolates with coffees, and a fruit bowl - simply wow - is all we can say! Bed was comfy and we slept nice and warm! It was definitely a "little home" away from home!

I really appreciated the cleanliness, and the daily treats and rusks were such a sweet, thoughtful touch. Having air conditioning was a fantastic bonus, too. I would definitely stay here again!

Room and bathroom rather small. Little work space for making tea and snacks. Would suggest, the lower shelf above the microwave should be shortened so that the microwave could be fitted above the worktop, increasing the work area.

The place was cleaned daily, with fresh clean towels provided, which was a huge bonus in Cape Town's wet weather, and she also provided fresh fruit and rusks. Although small, the accommodation had everything we needed and fully met our expectations

Reviewed Jul 1, 2025The air conditioner and the hot water bottles provided is very thoughtful. The host was sweet and lovely to meet. The WiFi connectivity was good. There was no disturbances. The place was nice and clean. The room is very cosy.
Temperature control on the shower should be looked at it's either too hot or not warm enough . Best to have your own vehicle as ubers don't like to come to area often it's takes a long time before your ride request is accepted.
