It was right outside the beautiful town of Killarney which was the perfect home base for visiting both the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula. This cottage was located behind the house of the property owners (whom I might add were super easy to communicate with and simply the perfect hostess). It was very private (which we also loved) and quiet.

Reviewed Oct 31, 2025Helen ist eine sehr liebe und fürsorgliche Gastgeberin. Die Lage haben wir als perfekt empfunden, vor allem wenn man vorhat den Nationalpark und den Ring of Kerry zu erkunden.
Vor allem im Winter empfehlen wir eine Anreise solange es hell ist. Ansonsten ist die Anfahrt nicht ohne. Das ist jetzt aber eher eine Empfehlung als eine Kritik.

Huisje was verouderd en niet erg schoon (stof, glazen en pannen niet schoon in de kast, vieze voegen in badkamer etc).

The apartment was very clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The area was lovely and quiet, close enough to Killarney but away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It was the perfect spot for us! 😊

Reviewed Jun 3, 2025Our host was fantastic the door was left open for us as we were way later getting there than expected with a lovely greeting on the wall as we entered. Met Helen and her Hubby the next morning with a warm welcome. Facilities were plentiful for our weekend stay and ideal for a family of 4. Would definitely go back and stay there.
Nothing and would like to thank Helen for the warm wecome and for all the helpfull tips she provided for the area. Home safe now hope to stay again next time.

The beds were very comfortable and it was very peaceful so we all got excellent sleep. We were here with our 10-months old son and he could crawl around freely, we didn’t have to worry about anything, our stay was very comfortable and anytime we come to Killarney we would like to stay here again! You absolutely need a car to stay here, but you need it either way when visiting Killarney… it’s only 10 minutes drive away from the town, but in the nature with fresh air and amazing views 😄

Reviewed Jan 9, 2025Nice quiet location 15 minutes drive from the centre of Killarney. Spacious rooms with a large kitchen and the heating/insulation was extremely effective even though it was quite cold outside at times. Our hosts Helen and Terrence were very welcoming whilst respecting our privacy. Spectacular and magical panoramic views wherever we went in the area and we particularly liked checking out some of the marvellous sights on and near the Ring of Kerry. Finding the breathtaking Lough Brin after taking a wrong turn was definitely a highlight!
Nothing regarding the property, just that many of the roads in the area are quite narrow so take care if you haven't driven on narrow two way roads before!

The kitchen was a highlight, fully equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher and an oven, making it easy to prepare meals. The convenience of a washing machine was much appreciated, especially for longer stays. The bathroom was very spacious, featuring a wonderful shower. Towels and bed linen were thoughtfully provided, adding to the overall comfort. Helen and her husband were very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. One of the best aspects was the incredible mountain views from the dining room window, which made our stay even more special. We hope to return for another stay shortly but I suspect vacancies will be scarce as the apartment is so ideal.It has all the home comforts and is warm and comfortable. The drive into Killarney Town is only about 10 minutes where one can spend the day shopping or touring etc but you can then return to perfect tranquility in Helen's.
There was nothing that we disliked about the place.

The house was warm without the heat on but put it on for an hour one evening. Lovely location with nice outside space too. We would certainly visit again. Love Kerry.

Reviewed Oct 16, 2023We loved this location in the Killarney area. It was a quiet guest house outside of the town. There was a kitchen with all amenities needed to make our own meals if we so chose. We were able to meet the owners who were more than accommodating. They even had coffee and tea available for us! They had a sweet dog that we were able to meet on our last day there. We would absolutely recommend this booking to anyone and would utilize them again if we were to return to this area of Ireland.

Really appreciated that they could keep our luggage after checking out so that we could do a final excursion and not leave the luggage in the car. The washing machine was a super bonus and we did wash our clothes from previous hot sunny hiking days! Oh yes, we found superb weather in Ireland! Highly recommended if you have a car. Communication with Helen was excellent and very prompt too!
