De locatie was voortreffelijk. Midden in de natuur met veel verschillende vogels. Dichtbij een mooi strandje. De vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaren. Zelfs de koffie, een doosje eieren, een fles melk en boter stonden gereed bij het inchecken.

Ik kan niets bedenken wat beter zou moeten.

Ideal out of the way location with great views and attractive cove close by. Very pleasant and helpful owners with nice restaurant - Mountain House - nearby.

L'accueil chaleureux de nos hôtes, le fait de trouver à notre arrivée thé, café, sucre, oeufs, beurre etc, l'emplacement de la maison, au calme sans être loin de Clonakilty, la beauté du jardin de Mary. L'appartement est simple mais agréable.

The wild atlantic hideaway was lovely! The property was beautiful and in an idyllic location. Both Mari and Dermot were wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcomed. They provided some amenities for us as well. Dermot was very attentive and it was lovely to get to know you. The property was comfortable and quiet but also felt homely. Such a brilliant place to stay and we really hope to be back in future 🩷

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Wild Atlantic Hideaway in West Cork! The location is so peaceful and scenic—perfect for switching off. It’s an ideal base for exploring, with Sand Cove within walking distance and Red Strand just a short drive away. The accommodation was spotless and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. It felt private and cosy throughout. Dermot was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and even went out of his way to drop us to a wedding reception in Clonakilty, which we really appreciated. We only wish we could have stayed longer—highly recommend! GRMA James & Annelouise

Self contained, quiet surrounding and good base to drive around the area

Island of the Peace in the nowhere. Dark and quiet night, only birds were singing early morning. Simply it's not possible to write more, because this is the essence of the place. I must mention our very kind and discrete hosts as well.

If the curtain of the shower might be a little longer...

If you want to experience a life in a country side, perfect place to stay! It's in the middle of green field and only 10 min walk to a nice little beach. Birds were coming by, and could been seen from the dining area, too. Appartment had everything you need and very clean and cozy. Being away from busy city, quite close to good shops and very convenient. Owners were so friendly and their recommendation for local places was excellent. Wish I had more days to stay longer.

I met the owner Dermot who was very welcoming and handed me the keys and said that if I needed anything to shout.

Lovely quiet location with a lovely garden and views over the country side. Dermot met us and gave us a great welcome and plenty of information on the surrounding area. Great facilities very comfortable living space and everything one could need in the kitchen. Great comfortable bed and very spacious shower. Nice quiet roads where one can walk and take in the views.

Actually, it was an unique hideaway. Beautiful, serene, and nice places to visit nearby. Just perfect. I regretted only that I could not stay. Friendly renters!!!!!

Loved our stay in this place! Excellent location and house had all the facilities and amenities we needed. Would highly recommend and come back again.

Nothing as strong as dislike, however was a bit difficult to follow directions on first attempt, as my first left was immediately after the house with white gable. Should not have been so anxious and waited for the next left!!

Perfect for a couple. The owners could not have been more helpful, warm and welcoming. A lot of attention to detail to ensure a comfortable stay. Lovely secluded location.

Quiet ,peaceful, country sjde location with a great beach just minutes away. Friendly, unobtrusive and helpful hosts. Within 20 mins driving to Clonakilty-a very buzzy town.

We really loved the beautiful garden around the property and the pond. There was a lovely short walk to a secluded rocky beach at Sands Cove and lovely views from the main room. The property was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Dermot and Mari were very hospitable and provided all we needed.

loved the location and especially loved the seating area outside by the pond! great way to spend an afternoon out in the sun and we couldn’t get over the beautiful garden and the interior was perfect for all your needs, really covered all the basis’ and Dermot let us know on the little cove that was only a 10 minute walk down the road! Great little find!

Very warm welcome. Everything was spotlessly clean and easy to use. Lots to do both locally and further afield. Clonakilty Supervalu is amazing! We didn't want to leave.

stunning property, extremely comfortable and left to ourselves. Lots of information available in the property and hosts extremely accommodating 24/7. Shower was great and heating was just perfect.

sitting area wasn't the most comfortable for a night in - maybe just a few changes with furniture etc. it was quite noisy with been attached to the main house but probably the same for the hosts and us making noise.
