Had a lovely stay! The place was cozy, comfortable, and had such a warm, homely vibe. Mahek and Anup were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make my stay easy. They helped me plan my itinerary, arranged a scooty and transportation, and Mahek even surprised me with a delicious Sindhi breakfast. Such thoughtful and welcoming hosts — I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this place! ❤️

Had a fantastic experience here. The property was super clean and well maintained throughout our stay. All the amenities you’d need were provided, and we especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfast on the first day. The food was amazing, and as an added bonus, they gave me discount coupons to use there! 😬 Everything was top-notch, and their service made my stay truly memorable. Mehak Ji was able to provide hygienically prepared, delicious home-cooked meals, which were very well appreciated by my father. Me and my Fiancé planned a last minute trip to Pondicherry for the weekend after attending a wedding in Mahabalipuram. We were worried at first cause we had no planned itinerary or reservations. The hosts at Mel Ville took that stress away with multiple recommendations across Pondicherry. From beaches, fine dining restaurants, to dessert places and bars. The house is designed like a comfortable home. Warm, welcoming and convenient. It is spacious and delightful! On Saturday they recommended a near by restro-bar MelWhisk where we had a fun karaoke session and great food and drinks. The host is also an amazing chef, she made us some really delicious local food that made us feel like home.

The property is in a prime location but no hustle from the city can be heard... The stay actually exceeded our expectations... So much gratitude to Anup and Mehak, who served us delicious home cooked breakfast and meals.... They are really wonderful hosts .. We stayed in two bedroom apartment...The property is very well maintained. It had all the necessary amenities. Parking space for our car was provided...They even covered it. Suerly we do recommend it strongly to anyone who wishes to visit pondicherry.

The couple were helpful and friendly, offering advice about Ayurvedic doctors for a digestive disorder and helping out with transport from Chennai Airport and a SIM card. The (room I stayed in) accommodation is a typical Indian guesthouse with the bonus of a delicious, optional breakfast, which went beyond usual breakfasts into the culinary arts, which was clearly made with care and kindness.

After recently being in Thailand and Auroville, where western expectations are consistently met, I'd forgotten what a typical Indian guesthouse was like and so many things disappointed. However, rather than listing them here, I got a strong commitment from the culinary expert host, that she would set about making the adjustments to make the room more comfortable for western travellers. This commitment is enough to know that things will definitely improve. I don't like to comment on things out of a host's control but the mosquitoes just outside and neighbours' yard left a lot to be desired.

The property is very close to the French town and the beachside…All the major attractions are easily accessible. Good location; the accommodation is very comfortable and best suited for a couple. It’s clean, well organised and exudes positive vibes.

Anup and Mahek are the best hosts one can have. Even before we left home he was communicating with us and providing useful info. He helped us plan our trip. He made every effort to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Mehak, is very sweet. The room we stayed in was comfortable. The property is on the border of the white town and is close to everything.

The apartment was very beautifully decorated and clean. There was cleaning done promptly and the staff was very nice. The hosts were the best we have had! They were amazing and went out of their way to make us feel at home including making home-cooked food for us when we were sick, providing medicines and helping us with arranging auto/cab for travel. The location is quite convenient ( just 10 mins walk to the promenade beach). The terrace is beautiful and I enjoyed reading a book there watching the birds in the nearby trees. When in Pondicherry, you would have to stay here! I am looking forward for my best visit to Pondicherry with them.

we had booked the place to celebrate our anniversary and I am glad that I booked Mel Ville. The place is near to rock beach and french colony and night life in this area is a bliss. The breakfast which Mehak mam served was amazing specially the Dal Pakwaan, Parathas, Omelette, Bhel, Masala Chai, Garlic buns and Hot Chocolate during our 3 day stay were so fulling that we had to skip our lunch on all those days. The place is located in a calm area and they have maintained the property to an amazing level. I did not believe when Anup sir said that it's a 11 years old property it looked as if it was build just 11 days ago. The room has a kitchen with all cutlery you need including an oven, induction and kettle. They also have a fridge enough to store a weeks supply and energy drinks. They also have a private wifi connection for each room and they also have a work table in each room so that one can do work from their place while enjoying a chilled drink with some of their yummy breakfast. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend everyone to go there without a second thought. they also provide parking facilities and the place can easily take 2, 4 wheelers and 5, 2 wheelers without any issues. they also have option to get you a rented bike if needed and it was the best thing I enjoyed without worrying about anything. the place is hardly 4-5 kms from railway station and you can take an ola to reach for the first time. Nearby you will have imported liquor shops, ice cream shops and medical shops if things go south.

The location is great - a quiet side road and easy walking distance to all the main sights.The apartment was so lovely - immaculately clean and very comfortable and there is a nice terrace on top too. What made our stay so special was the warm hospitality of both Anup and Mehak. We enjoyed several home cooked meals (breakfast and lunch) prepared by Mehak during our stay and it was by far the best food we ate during our visit to Pondicherry. It was a bit of a walk into the French Quarter along busy roads, however it was easy to pick up a tuk tuk on the main road so it wasn’t really an issue.

I did an extended stay and they went out of their way to make sure my time there was comfortable and pleasant.

The location's proximity to the beach and White Town was great, but I wish the roads were a bit more walkable. However, the hosts were kind enough to provide me the contact information for local transport and made moving around the city a much more pleasant process.

Our host Mehek was quite considerate and hospitable. There was staff who would get the luggage from car to your room and vice versa. The room was air conditioned. The room and beds were clean on the check-in and cleaned next day too. Bed linens were clean and fresh. We were offered a lemonade, some nuts during check-in and a sweet treat from their restaurant on the check-out as a friendly gesture.

Hot water is a bit of a trouble. Could have been better during summers but October being a rainy season, it was a bit uncomfortable. The beds were good for couples / couples with young children. May not be that comfortable for families with grown up children. Basic toilteries (shower gel, Shampoo)of good quality would have been good.Tooth paste and toilet paper was missing. Nevertheless there was a bidet spray. Hand shower / rain shower are found in all home stays these days, that could have been installed.

Got a chance to try Sindhi breakfast which was out of the world. It's home cooked and you won't get it in any hotels. The rooms were clean and well maintained. They not just believe in providing value for the service but also add their personal touch in it. They love to engage with people and enjoy hosting. Anup helped us by arranging 2 wheeler rentals during our stay and with a cab to chennai on our way out. Mehek was very kind to invite us for breakfast at their home with authentic sindhi food made by her. They also helped us with our itinerary and other activities during our stay. I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming property(Mel Ville) and it truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and impeccable service made us feel right at home. The hosts were right at with us and helped us in settling down in the beautifully decorated and clean rooms (better than a 3star hotel) What truly set this property apart, though, was the staff and the hosts. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made our stay exceptionally enjoyable. We locked ourselves out twice during the stay and both ma’am and sir were extremely helping as well as well calm throughout. Anup sir even came and covered my car with their own covers as there are bird droppings and i absolutely loved it We were invited for breakfast and i pretty much initially thought that i was having the exact same experience that i had in Maldives but then again they were able to exceed that with the abundance of love, care and the feeling of being with the owned ones. (The food that was prepared was by Mehak Ma’am and i think she was all-in-one. (Best host, chef, baker, person to sit down and talk) They helped us with pretty much everything, starting from planning your itinerary to helping you get 2 wheelers, getting us a local auto driver, and ocean cruise schedules. My little one (Noddie) had a great time chasing birds on the terrace and cool down under the shed that have built for sitting area under the water storage. I accidentally broke one of their main door’s decorative ply but they were still so caring and calm. They didn’t take a single penny from me for the accidental damage i did, and had the positive attitude of don’t worry we will fix it. END OF STORY- In my whole life, I have never seen a better host than them and they will make your trip even better. Also, do not forget to visit Mel Whisks.

The rooms were immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The amenities were top-notch, and I loved the attention to detail in every aspect. On the first day, we got a complimentary Sindhi breakfast (which was actually not included with the stay) that was prepared by Mehak and was truly delicious. She even baked Banana Walnut Chocolate Cake for all of us on the second day, which was too yummy.On the third day, we got to taste the cheese sandwiches and idlis too. They made us feel like we were at home. Such great hospitality. Overall, the property is very beautiful, it's very close to the city (white town) and everything is in walkable distance.They are the best (I mean it) hosts anyone could ever ask for with a top-notch hospitality. I would highly recommend Mel Ville to anyone looking for a memorable and rejuvenating stay. It's a true gem. Unfortunately, we only have the videos of the rooms and no images..but the images on the app looks exactly the same. So if you ever see these rooms vacant, just go for it!!! No second thoughts. I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mel Ville, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and comfort of the hotel enveloped me like a cozy blanket. The rooms were not only spacious and well-appointed but also provided the perfect ambiance for a restful retreat. One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the home-made food. Each meal was a delightful journey for the taste buds, with flavors that reminded me of the comfort of home-cooked meals. The quality and taste of the food were exceptional, and it was evident that great care was taken in its preparation.

But more than the physical comforts, it was the hospitality of the staff and owners that truly made my stay memorable. I loved the way we were treated; it was as if we were part of a family. The owners went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making us feel valued and cared for.

The property is located at a convenient place, close to the beach and all other touristy places. The levels of cleanliness and comfort are excellent. However the most attractive feature of the property are the hosts. They leave no stone unturned to ensure that all requirements of the guests are met - very friendly and wonderfully helpful. I recently stayed at Mel Ville in Pondicherry and had a great experience. Anup and Mehak were very polite and welcoming. Their care for guests is top-notch. During breakfast, Mehak joined us, and we had a pleasant chat about local attractions and happenings. After checkout, we needed to store our luggage for a few hours, and they kindly allowed us to keep it there. The staff was also very polite and helped us load our bags into the cab. This was a very kind gesture. The location was convenient for exploring the city. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pondicherry.

The place is located in prime location, with walkable distance to the beach and extremely clean. Perfect facilities as well. We stayed here with our dogs and it was just so convenient and comfortable. The hosts are so kind, making us snacks and a cake too for my birthday. Overall and exceptional stay.

She delighted us with delicious homemade meals throughout the weekend, adding an extra layer of comfort and luxury to our experience. Anup was an invaluable resource during our time in Pondicherry. His knowledge of the area, including recommendations for restaurants and activities, made exploring the city a breeze. He truly is a one-stop solution for all things Pondy-related! Overall, our stay with Mehak and Anup exceeded all expectations. Their hospitality, combined with the comfort of their Airbnb, made for an unforgettable trip to Pondicherry. Our stay at Mel Ville was par excellence ✨️ The hosts Mehak and Anupji personally take great care of their guests. We stayed in the Neon apartment. The apartment was sun lit and airy. We watched the sunrise and moonrise from our bed. It was really memorable. Complimentary breakfast and snacks by Mehak were tasty and generous. Looking forward to staying at Mel Ville again.

The hospitality provided by Anup and Mehak was fantastic, definitely made us feel at home. The communication from their end was on-point and ensured we had enough clarity about what we are paying for and also they go out of their way to let us know what can be explored at Pondicherry. They also run a resto-bar Mel Whisks and the food from there is also to be tried! It's one of the highly rated places in Pondicherry. The stay unit (quartz) was really spacious and very very well maintained. There are 2 ACs (even though one of them wasn't working to full capacity, the other was working well enough) in the unit and there is a refrigerator and a mini kitchen to serve us better. What I liked about the space is it's sense of calmness and away from the bustle. The private terrace is a real highlight! Can ensure your morning & sunset moments are to be cherished. I would definitely visit this space again. Btw, The quartz room is huge, you will feel no space constraint whatsoever.

Went over for a quick trip to Pondi. We had a wonderful experience staying at Melville. Great hosts and they do really take care of their guests!

Very clean and comfortable, Anup was very helpful in providing information about Pondy before and during our stay and we had a lovely home cooked breakfast from Mehak. Location was good, takes 15 mins to walk to white town. Nice hot shower! We were also given discount to eat and drink and their bar down the road.

The only thing (which is not the fault of property) there is a rooster next door which woke us early in the mornings as we were staying in room on ground floor, managed ok with ear plugs.

Mosquito meshes are missing on the windows which will not allow to open the windows open.

The room was clean and cozy. The building is at a prominent location, at walking distance to most places in white town.

The hosts are great. They are warm, cordial and make stay pleasing. Being with a toddler, we wanted a comfortable room with basic kitchen for milk and the likes. We got what we needed and the trip was enjoyable. My daughter really enjoyed the space. Mehek was kind to offer us a fantastic breakfast. They shared a great connect with a two wheeler rental which made our trip smooth.

My stay at Mel Ville turned out to be surprisingly pleasant & such a novel experience. Unlike other spaces in Pondicherry - & yes, I have been around - this one stands out solely because the property owners ( a middle aged couple ) are "hands on" when it comes to servicing their guests. The owners get on a Whats App group with their guests & are quite pro active, making sure the guests are taken care of & made to feel comfortable. Every request of mine ( from providing a hot press in the room, to arranging conveyance at short notice, or getting ice cubes late at night ) was fulfilled with great gusto & in real quick time. Anup was kind enough to take me on a tour of Mel Ville on the day I was checking out. Quartz, the penthouse studio, Neon, the standard studio, Ivory & Pearl the large two & three bedroom apartments... all done up thoughtfully. The interiors were pleasing to the eye & maintained so beautifully by the charming hostess Mehak & her efficient team of house maids. The kitchen facilities in the apartments come in handy for families with kids in tow. A mini platter of complimentary snacks from their home kitchen was as delicious as it was nutritious - not to be missed ! The front yard is large enough to accommodate two cars & a few scooters. Being located in a quiet - primarily residential - neighborhood allows for ample & safe parking. I typically avoid highly rated properties on the portal but I am glad, I opted this one, this once !

The bedroom were compact but highly functional. The tariff was a tab bit high but I guess, I am sure to forget how much I ended up paying but the pleasant memories will linger until I visit next..
