Unfortunately the house never turned all of the way to give us water or ocean view unless it happened while we asleep - I’m not sure why. We arrived around 1030pm due to flight delays into Edmonton - the parking area driveway was not well lit so we were going up onto other guests deck areas/doorways, to find our reserved condo. It was unfortunate that in order to have any privacy, curtains needed to be kept pulled which takes away from the experience.

Fabulous unique rotating house - if you're looking for a one-off experience, this is it! It turned at least once a day to make sure all the occupied apartments faced the sea at some point and we made sure we were there to see it - fascinating. Very well thought out lay - out for the apartment, extremely clean and comfortable. Located just above the beach with the spectacular red sand. Lovely boardwalk to the centre of North Rustico which is a lovely part of Prince Edward Island, a fishing village with freshly caught lobster, scallops and crab. Typical of Canada, everyone very friendly and helpful. Steve was a great host and easily contacted if there was anything we needed.

The view is very nice when facing the gulf. The units are very spacious and kitchen is well equipped. A central place to visit the entire island. Would definitely stay here again. Very quiet even when rotating.

Our unit was nicely equipped and very modern. Good communication from the owner. The rotating feature creates a unique experience, though I would say it is more of a curiosity (How do you handle plumbing in a rotating building?) It's a good location for exploring PEI and close to the North Rustico trail/beach. Would definitely stay again.

Getting into the nuances of what beachfront means. It's 100m or so to walk to the beach through some willows that block the view. There is a gravel road between the property and the beach.

Ein rotierendes Haus ? als Ferienwohnung? Es geht und ist wundervoll. Normal ist jede Ferienwohnung mal dran mit dem Blick auf's Wasser, aber für uns aus Germany hat der Besitzer Ausnahmen gemacht. Praktisch hatten wir nur den Blick aufs Wasser. Danke Steve ! Die Wohnung ist sehr toll, alles was man braucht. Einziges kleines Manko, für uns waren die Betten doch sehr weich. Wir können diese Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen. Nochmals danke an Steve.

Even without the bonus of the rotation, which was fun to experience and which gave us changing views, this was an outstanding place to stay. Plenty of space, excellent facilities, comfortable bed, lounge and chairs, and of course the glass doors making the most of the glorious views. Walking distance to the beach and to North Rustico supermarket and liquor store. We loved staying here in Autumn, but it would be quite perfect in Summer.

You would definitely need a car to stay here.

Loved the location, the accommodations, comfort, Beautiful views, easy walk down to beach, nice kitchen, great large rain shower, sauna (on property), and one car free parking. We had a wonderful stay! The communication from owner was fantastic. Highly this unique and comfortable apartment.

The location was perfect. Near to beach and restaurants.

The kitchen very poorly fitted when it came to pots/pans and no wine glasses only tumblers which were very badly “calcified”. Stools around bar were in bad condition and in need of repair. Many “does & don’t” instructions every where. It would have been nice to have been greeted by the host who just who lived upstairs. Also it would have been nice to have “picnic tables” on the grounds for our use.

The views were stunning and North Rustico was quaint and lovely. The condo was spotless and modern. The waterfall shower and full kitchen were great. The rotating of the building was fun and unique. Also, being able to walk to restaurants and the beach made it perfect.

Loved everything!

What we really liked was the location and view of the property. North Rustico Beach is a beautiful area of the island, with everything you need for your stay. The house itself is a 5 minute drive from the beach. The apartment (Condo#4) was very modern, with a fully equipped kitchen, and a very large bathroom, including a shower with a rainwater-like showerhead large enough for 3 persons! While we were there, the house moved twice, which was delightful to watch. And the walk down to the spectacular beach was an easy 10 minutes!

We were a couple with 2 adult children so we needed 3 separate beds. What we thought we had paid for was a 2-bedroom apartment as advertised. What we got was a 1-bedroom, with a Murphy bed and a pull-out sofabed in the kitchen/living room area. We felt that this should be more clear on the advertising for these units. We were still able to manage, as there are 3 beds in total, but it was quite tight in terms of space once all the beds were prepared.

Everything was perfect and comfortable. Very clean and spacious. Well supplied. We enjoyed the different views as it rotated.

The garbage cans outside should be behind a fence. It would be helpful to have a path of patio stones around the perimeter as the grass is often wet from rain and dew and guests are encouraged to walk on the grass - not on the rotating deck.

We enjoyed our time at the rotating house. The beds and pillows were awesome during our 7 day stay. The BBQ needed to be replaced. It would have been nice to have more comfortable chairs to sit out on the porch the bench didn't really work for us. Otherwise the units are of high quality and the place was very clean. It was an experience having the house rotate very cool!

We recently stayed in condo #2 in this unique home in North Rustico, PEI. What attracted us to this place for our 2 night stay was the rotation of the units/house. It unfortunately was not what we expected. The house rotated once and we were expecting a continual rotation throughout the day. We went from a partial sea view, to a fence view. We do recognize that you can’t have optimum views all the time but did expect to experience more of a changing view during our stay. Having said that, the unit was spacious and well equipped. It was comfortable for 2 couples with the use of the Murphy bed in the main living space. I think if you had 6 people in there, it would be cramped though. The pocket doors were sticky and did not fully close so privacy in the bathroom was a little iffy. During one of our nights, there was a continual mechanical hum coming from the centre of the house so was a bit bothersome for a few of us. The next evening was completely quiet. North Rustico is a great community and location so top marks on the accessibility to town and to North Rustico Beach.

The location was excellent for all the sightseeing we had planned. Within easy driving distance to Cavendish Beach and Anne of Green Gables heritage site. The little harbour Town was great too with gift shops and restaurants

Excellent location . Bed was sooo comfortable. You have everything you need.The condo was clean as a whistle . We really enjoyed the boardwalk and also walking along the beach. It was central to Cavendish attractions as well. Don't miss out on CapeTyron lighthouse in the area as well as the Blue Mussels Cafe.

My husband and I came first time in 2015 on our 25th Anniversary. We enjoyed our selves so much we returned for our 35th. The views are beautiful and accommodations are large. So quiet , so if your looking for something different this may the way to go

We had a wonderful stay at The Rotating House in North Rustico. Our host, Steve, was very accommodating and gave all the guests a very informative tour of the working mechanics and construction of this unique and inviting property. Our stay was during a weather event called a bomb-cyclone, where wind gusts were 80 - 100 km/hr. We really enjoyed the breathtaking ocean views from our condo, as well as from the nearby seashore, wharf, and scenic drive all along the adjacent shoreline from North Rustico to Cavendish where we felt the impact of the howling winds and then saw a spectacular sunset. The fish market, bakery, grocery store, bank and boardwalk are all close by, as is The Watermark Theatre. My husband and I stayed for four nights, (Sept 22-26, 2024), and this condo is better than a five star hotel. It has every amenity needed, with beaches, shops and restaurants nearby. The views are spectacular and listening to the sounds of the ocean is so relaxing. We highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting beautiful PEI.

This was a fantastic location for our stay on PEI. The bed was very comfortable, the view was great, and the location was excellent. The beach is close enough to walk to (although if you are the kind of person who brings lots of stuff to the beach, it might still be worth it to pay to drive down and park). Several good restaurants and a lighthouse were within walking distance. All the attractions of Cavendish are a short drive away for easy access, but it was nice staying a little outside of the major tourist draw.

I loved the revolving feature

Too much info! We went almost the whole 2 days being challenged by the internet, relying on my own service then spotted the wifi notice the night before we left. That should be out front and centre or separated and on top of the instructions!

Recently stayed 6 nights and we throughly enjoyed it! The neighborhood was beautiful and the views were stunning. We enjoyed being able to sit on our patio when we had some downtime. The sauna was really cool, but the weather was too hot so we didnt get to enjoy it. If we ever visit the island again, we will stay here again for sure. My only suggestion would be another mirror, a long one in the bedroom.

No breakfast. We know the area and were delighted to get the apartment because it is so close to everything we want to do.

What a wonderful location! Thoroughly enjoyed sitting out looking over the ocean. The condo had everything we needed and was extremely clean I was pleasantly surprised as to the comfort of the Murphy Bed. Had two excellent dinners less than 5 minutes away in North Rustico.

What an interesting home. First, it was clean, relaxing, comfortable bed, great views, beautiful kitchen and seating area, great location near fabulous restaurants (oysters and muscles are unmatched), and our host Steve was very helpful with detailed information. The house can rotate near 360 degrees, providing each condo (of four) a great view of the ocean and sunsets. I wasn't awake for the sunrise. What I really liked about this proeprty is Steve's commitment to environmental impact. None of us are completely free of impacting the environment, but Steve makes every effort and walks the talk; a great model for all of us!

Our stay at the Rotating House in North Rustico was excellent. The unit is extremely well appointed and clean; the bed is comfortable. The view when facing the water is beautiful. The owner is on-site which ensures any issues can be resolved immediately. The location is within walking distance of the beach and other tourist amenities. It was a perfect getaway!

Unfortunately we didn’t have as much time facing the Shoreline as expected. … not sure about the rotation schedule……

Our stay was wonderful in every way. The condo was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, yet cozy, and had everything we needed. The rotating views were pretty amazing and the use of EV charger was a plus. The owners were more than accommodating and we would highly recommend this unique experience!

Lovely stay, lots of space for 4 people, quite, and private. Very unique property. Only suggestion, an extra mirror, perhaps in the bedroom. One of the barstools had a metal rod sticking out that tore clothes. Only one. Other than that, great spot!

This home is FABULOUS!! The owner is so easy to communicate with! The bed sleeps like a dream!!! Everything is very clean and well appointed. The view is breathtaking! The fact that this home rotates- is just fantastic. Highly recommend this property! While you’re staying here- be sure to have lunch/dinner at The Blue Mussel Cafe in the harbor. Best food ever!

Wow wow wow…. We are from Stratford PEI and went to the Rotating House!!!! What a lovely spot here in North Rustico PEI!!!! The rotating house is so well done and we totally enjoyed the views!! We came Thanks Giving weekend, had a big meal and we found everything we needed in the well appointed kitchen 👍🏻 Beds are sooooo comfy! Bathroom is big and clean( enjoyed the double sinks we don’t have that at home) Shower is large and has two shower heads! The grounds are kept lovely, it’s just a short walk to the beach. We ate a delicious breakfast at the Tides and Tails restaurant just 1km away! Thanks 💕💕💕Steve and Family North Rustico we will be back!!!!

This was our third time staying at this property & we enjoyed it just as much as the other visits. The location is perfect for walks to the beach, boardwalk & restaurants. The place is spotless, we’ll equipped & Steve was readily available to answer any questions or concerns.

The location and the views can not be beat. A 5 minute walk to beach and 2 really good restaurants. Unit was spacious, clean and fully stocked. Steve was a great host and responded quickly to all inquiries.

If you cook, the range exhaust does not vent outdoors. However, there are plenty of windows/patio doors to open to freshen the air.

The unit was very clean, with a kitchen full of utensils and all you need. A modern condo in the quite and beautiful Rustico.area.

The stay was amazing, but most of all, the tranquility and relaxation of the quietness was just what we needed. We needed to stop and smell the roses, and that is just what we did.The rotating of the home was the icing on the cake. We are looking foward to book for next year as soon as it opens to start booking.

The beach was close, but I wish we could get to it by car as I have a problem walking on unlevel grounds. If there were a pool on the property, you would not have to leave except to dine.

The Roat sting house is awesome! The view was great & bed was really comfortable. The owner is really friendly.

The double doors help keep mildew at bay but I wish I’d brought my travel humidifier - it was so dry at night!

Beautiful location, cold outside but comfortable inside. Amenities were all as expected.

Online ad says Kitchen well stocked. While there were sufficient dishes, pot and pans we thought a few basic spices besides salt and pepper would be easy to accomplish as well as a bottle of cooking oil. We cooked several meals and ended up leaving some packaged spices in the cupboard, hopefully they are left for the next renters.

A lovely and unique place to stay on the Island. I would highly recommend it.
