North Rustico Motel & Cottages

It was a very cute cottage and had all we required.

The scent in the cabin- perhaps wood?? I would have liked a candle or something to try to take away the scent.

The staff were lovely and accommodated an early check in. The cottage was lovely and very clean

It was a lovely fully equipped cottage with an extremely comfortable bed. Great surroundings walks and restaurants close by. The pool was refreshing!! Extremely helpful and friendly host. Could not have asked for more.

The location was fantastic. The owner was very helpful suggesting places to go for sightseeing and meals. The cottage was comfortable and clean.

The only reason for it to be 8/10 is the lack of creature comforts. Small things like salt and pepper, maybe instant coffee , tea bags and sugar and creamer. A bigger rug by the door would keep the floor cleaner when you have wet shoes. A lamp on both sides of the bed.

Staff was super helpful and welcoming, the space was incredibly clean and comfortable and had everything you needed. Wonderful stay, would definitely book again!

We stayed in Saint john , hosted by John and family. It was a lovely place, very well stocked with supplies incase you forgot anything. I liked the back patio, great to relax and read a book. It was close to everything wr wanted to see on our short stay in the city. They provided a plethora of options to do during the stay amd reccomended a bunch of options for whatever it is youre looking for. 5/5 would reccomend you stay here if youre visiting saint john! Dwight was a gem! He was so friendly and gave us a map and lots of ideas of what we should see and do from a locals perspective. When arriving we had already booked a campsite but our tent broke in the strong winds. We were soaked without a tent and tired. We looked up places ti sleep near by and found this cottage. We seen it had a bed and a shower and at this point that’s all we wanted. Upon arriving we were greeted by the owner. He chatted with us about where we were from once he heared how our night was and that we were going to go get food. He grabbed a large map. Circled destination points , circled camp grounds close by, explained what areas were good for tourist attentions. Suggested a restaurant close by. Upon entering our room we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room , cleanliness, and brightness. It was very cute and welcoming. It had everything you could think of and more. Microwave , tea kettle , toaster , hot plate , utensils, kitchen sink with soap, tv, large couch , small table with two chairs , large comfortable bed, bathroom with a full size fridge and freezer, blow dryer , broom , nice shower. A nice deck attached with table and chairs as well as a bbq. Close to other tourist attractions but tucked away enough to feel like your camping. I’d highly recommend this place and If the future ever allows we’ll be returning

The staff was outstanding. They were always, available to answer questions and supply anything we needed. The owner gave us good tips on things to see and do. The mattresses were very comfortable. We slept very well every night.

There was no breakfast. The location is great. Handy to Charlottetown and Summerside. The cabins need some more attention .Decks could be pressure washed and brighten up some. Patio chairs could use some improvements. Overall, clean and comfortable and Dwight is always a pleasure.

The low toilets in the cabin.

Hands down, this was the best experience we have ever had while traveling. Our cabin was clean, furnished, cozy, and had everything we needed already (including a can opener and pizza cutter) Dwight is so knowledgeable and friendly, and his love for the business and the area shine through. The ease and proximity to any major attraction and beach is deceiving by how quiet this property is. Truly, we will never book and stay anywhere else on all of PEI

The property was very clean, it had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable.

Room was very nice. Kitchen was convenient.

Hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Gave us ideas and directions for things to see Very nice, clean and updated property and convenient for sightseeing. Would definitely recommend this property and would it again if I ever revisit PEI.

Cottage needs renovation, bathroom could use extra scrubbing and could have extra towels. Beds were clean. Check in was good and the staff/owner were very nice

Lovely quiet location. Clean and simple accommodations. Comfy bed. Great host. Only thing we needed would have been larger bath towels and slightly better parking. Close to local restaurants and very close to New Glasgow, Cavendish.

I know the expense of linen. However the mattress cover’s sides are mesh and sheets will slip. I believe the mattresses were 16 inches and the cornered sheets were/are sized for shorter sides. They didn’t stay snug on the bed corners at all. No lids for pots. Great shower! Excellent size fridge (very nice). It was a fun challenge to do the dishes in the adorable little sink. The cupboard above though made that task rather difficult. If I may make a suggestion: cut the cabinet to the next shelf up and free up headspace at the sink. Make it a narrower wall shelf for tea towels or other. Summer staff have a lot to do I know, I was one. I was a chamber maid in London England back in the seventies I also worked for Inn on the Park /4 Season hotels. Dwight is a charming man. I hope my partner Allan Dobby and I will return soon for a stay and take Dwight along with his wife to Pedro’s for dinner on our return. Thank you for your many visited suggestions. 🦋JoAnne Mitchell

This was our second visit to the property. The owner, Dwight is a wonderful owner and he always makes sure you have everything you need. He is always around and available. The cabins are comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for visiting North Rustico. You can walk into town, and the town has everything you need. There is even an American Crow on the property, that welcomes you by saying "Hello". That Crow was there the last time we were at the property, 3 years ago.

Dwight, the owner, has VERY friendly and informative. When we needed another bed in our cabin, he brought us a twin mattress and bedding. Our small cabin was comfy, with nice old wood paneling. Great little community to stay in - boardwalk, docks, restaurants, shore drives, a great ice cream shop, and more.

We booked these accommodations based on the positive reviews we read on the internet. The host/owner greeted us upon arrival as if he had known us for years. We stepped into a homey little cabin complete with a comfy king size bed, mini (well-equipped) kitchen, full size fridge, big TV, plenty of chairs and a BBQ on the deck. The cabin was very clean and bright. There is also a laundry room near the office. Dwight, the owner, is the 5th generation to live on the land where the motel is situated. He has a vast knowledge of the area and endless stories of his heritage. It’s 100% guaranteed our next trip to PEI will be spent with Dwight and family at this home away from home.

It was our second time staying with them and just like before, it was fantastic and we are looking forward to going back again. Great area, great staff and never any issues.

I was more than pleased with our stay. The owner is friendly and kind with a great sense of humour. If you want modern and stylish this is not the place for you. But if you want roomy, rustic, charming and a ridiculously comfortable bed, you need to stay here. And the view is priceless! We will definitely be back.

Had a lovely 2 bedroom cabin. Spacious and clean, full kitchen, (eat in) large living room. We are staying again! Very accommodating and friendly owner.

Comfortable bed and pillow- lots of space in 2 bedroom, equipped with everything we needed. Pool and loungers were awesome. The location is great, walk to everything in North rustico, including the beach and boardwalk.

The owners are one of a kind - great hosts, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind! The property is wonderfully maintained. Our cottage was sweet and perfect for me, my partner and our dog. Every guest we talked to said they return year after year. Great value, great accommodations, and great people!

Grounds well kept

Loved the view - see the ocean. Lots of outdoor seating, BBQ’s at each unit.

Check in was easy with Dwight. We arrived a few minutes early and were able to check in right away as not the busy season. Cottage was what we expected and pleased with it. 4 adults and our dog were very comfortable. lots of grounds to walk the dog on. Thanks so much for everything. We had never stayed in North Rustico had only driven through. We hope to return soon. It's a gem.

Dwight, owner, was helpful in all regards. Met us at the front desk as we pulled in. He was able to give tons of suggestions including the oceanview lookout nearby. The property at the back had a large green space so our dog could run around. The chalet was quiet and roomy.

The room didn't have any shampoo. Soap provided was also very small.

Cozy and quiet

To begin, the “Greeter” was fantastic!!! Very helpful and full of tips and knowledge. The grounds were lovely, cabin spacious and well equipped.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Spacious 2 bedroom with full kitchen. Comfortable beds. Close to everything in North Rustico. We were travelling with our 4 month old and they were so accommodating providing a pack and play as well as cottage with a tub. Would highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Noah and Dwight were amazing. They made sure we always had clean towels, the cabin was clean, we had everything we needed for our 5 day stay and a view of the harbour was just a bonus (cabin #4). The location was perfect, there is so much to see in and around the North Rustico area. Hometown hospitality really is 5 stars here.

We have Zero complaints about this property and experience.

Dwight, the owner, was a pleasure to chat with. His recommendations, welcoming energy, and stories were a highlight of our trip. The cottages are cozy, personal, and have a fantastic view of the ocean. Also, a great little kitchen and really nice mattresses! The location is easy to find, easy to get to, and easy to travel from being somewhat in between most PEI attractions. Overall, a great choice for families and solo travel. We even stayed two extra nights!

The owner/operator was fantastic and gave amazing recommendations for local food and sights. His local knowledge was an incredible asset to our time in the area! The cabin was very cozy and ideal for our stay. Cabins are well equipped with everything you might need to stay in, but also are a great home base for heading out to visit the area. We would stay here again if we are ever back in the area.

This was one of my favorite stops on a long roadtrip. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was more like an apartment.It was spacious, extremely clean and one of the most comfortable beds ever. It was quiet and peaceful and warm and cosy. My favorite thing about cottage 17 was that the porch was built around a large tree. Would definitely stay again.
