Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Appartement très spacieux pour deux personnes. Tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner, globalement très fonctionnel. Télé connectée. Bien situé pour l'excursion à l'île aux cerfs et pour se rendre aux plages de Palmar et Bellemare. Le ménage était fait tout les jours.
Tout était globalement très satisfaisant, bon rapport qualité prix.

It’s a bit old and not so well maintained. The windows are very thin, so in the morning you have a lot of noise coming in. The fridge is very noisy. The area of the village is not nice

A l'arrivée, le dépôt de ferraille peut surprendre, après on s'habitue... Logement vieillissant Le paiement en espèces. Le prix pour 4 peut être justifié puisqu'il y a 2 chambres, mais pour 2 c'est cher par rapport au marché !

Reviewed Sep 28, 2025Posizione perfetta in un tipico villaggio di pescatori! La casa era super accogliente, due grandi balconi attrezzati di tavoli (di cui uno davvero enorme) e sedie.. Due sdraio per rilassarsi, ombra, sole... tutto quello di cui hai bisogno! La cucina è super attezzata qualsiasi tipo di stoviglie ed elettrodomestico. La casa viene pulita e messa in ordine totalmente ogni mattina, pulizia impeccabile! Parcheggio gratuito e sempre disponile davanti alla struttura, dal quale partono a che i tuor per l'isola dei cervi, ma a parte il via vai mattutino, è una zona assolutamente tranquilla e poco trafficata. Davvero tutto perfetto!

Reviewed Aug 13, 2024The hosts (Mike and his daughter Julie) were absolutely lovely, the accommodation (+ balcony) was very spacious and located at a very central location in town. Close to the beach, restaurants and harbour. Trou d'eau douce is the cutest town and Studio Manguillier the best accommodation to explore it from. I highly recommend staying here!

Reviewed Jul 29, 2024It is a private house on the second floor of the owner's house, and although it is old, it is clean and has a well-equipped kitchen. You must use the public parking lot across the street. There is a boat trip office to Ile aux cerfs around. The water pressure is a bit low.
There are no big supermarkets around.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2024Excellent spacious flat with fabulous belconies (2) and view was good. Warm reception from Veronique, who assisted us with the luggage. Towels were changed daily. Very well eqiupt kitchen and bathroom with excellent shower and hot water. Close to the main road and restaurant. Car park across the road was convenient and safe.
No lift available - for those with mobility issues. Suggestions: Shower door needs attention.

Reviewed May 12, 2024The accommodation provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, matching the description and photos provided online. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities (had a good massage ten minutes walk away). There is a nice balcony for sitting out in the evenings and a couple of very nice restaurants within walking distance of the apartment - one virtually next door which looked like a fast-food joint but was actually very good. Good value for money - we felt we got what we paid for. The hosts were friendly and helpful, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. Overall, we would stay there again.
Internet in the living was fine, not so good in the bedrooms.

Reviewed Nov 25, 2023The apartment has been cleaned every day and fresh towels have been provided daily without even asking. The host has been very kind. The kitchen is quite well equipped. There are plenty of restaurants nearby ( we recommend Nr1 just on the right) and a parking lot in front of the beach, which is just 50 meters from the building.
The apartment is very old and not very large, with a lot of noise coming from birds on the metallic rooftop as soon as the sun rises, and it is quite hot. Of course there is ac but only in the bedroom, and it's not possible to dine inside because there is a table only outside on a terrace. But, most of all, the pictures in booking do not portray the apartment we booked, but the apartments in the middle floor (which are way better than the ones on the upper floor). So, make sure that your booking refers to any apartment (there are 2) in middle floor, but be prepared to be disappointed if you book the upper floor.

The village is wonderful to chill out, quiet, but you find everything. Super nice restaurants less than 5 mins walking nearby. We would have liked to stay here longer! Will definitely come back!

Good location for boat trips to ile aux cerfs. Some nice restaurants within easy walking distance. Green island was lovely food and lovely staff.
There were alot of mosquitos but I always get bitten. I used burning coils and deet and was fine.

Trou d’Eau Douce is a local town and the hopping off point for Ile aux Cerfs plus lovely beaches just across the road. Restaurants are within easy walking distance and there’s a free car park across the road. An ideal place to stay to experience local Mauritian life. Michael, and all of his staff, are delightful.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2022Very comfortable flat, decorated with a picturesque forniture. It makes the soul happy! The location is also great, in front of the beach of Trou D'Eau Douce and it is very easy to get into Île aux Cerfs from there as well. Walking into the village, you will find a lot of local shops and really tasty mauritian street food. If you travel by bus, Flacq central station (which connects with all the island) is easy to reach.
No breakfast option available.
