Absolutely amazing stay. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The location is at the edge of Trou d'Eau Douce and a bit isolated, but walkable to the centre. Parking was no problem. The apartment was very spacious, spotless clean, the bed extremely comfortable. The small kitchenette was well-equipped. The breakfast was served every morning on the terrace and was delicious, but also varied. We would have stayed longer. Thank you!

Our stay at Ahavah was magnificent. Our apartment was much better than it appeared in the photos. It's elegant, new, very clean, and has everything you could need for a pleasant stay. The bed is very large and truly comfortable, with a topper on top of a comfortable mattress. The appliances and kitchen utensils are new and functional. The private terrace next to the apartment is very comfortable for breakfast or relaxing in the evening, with a good view of the banana field, the village, and even the sea in the distance. The property is in a village that we found pleasant and very typical. The owners' hospitality is truly special. Ashley and Varsha welcomed us with extreme kindness and friendliness, trying to promptly accommodate every request. I recommend everyone to choose the booking option that also includes breakfast. It was truly excellent and plentiful and was served every morning at the time of our choosing directly on the terrace. Il nostro soggiorno è stato perfetto. Abbiamo sentito immediatamente e costantemente il calore e l'ospitalità della famiglia. Si percepisce chiaramente che accolgono con amore. Colazione preparata in casa molto varia e salutare che ci ha consentito di affrontare delle giornate avventurose con grande energia. Appartamento pulitissimo e ben fornito. Posizione ideale per visitare la costa Est/Nord Est di Mauritius che regala panorami fantastici ed escursioni appaganti. Un abbraccio in particolare ad Anna e alla nonna che non dimenticheremo.

Parking et appartement très sécurisés, vous partez en ballade l'esprit tranquille. Très bon petit déjeuner, varié. Proche des plus belles plages de Maurice à 5 minutes en voiture et le village de Trou d'Eau Douce à 3 minutes à pied où vous pourrez trouver tout ce que vous avez besoin.

Manque un grille pain, pas de casseroles et les poêles sont à changer. Les chaînes "live" TV ne fonctionnaient pas.

Un très bel appartement, calme et confortable. Non loin de la plage et des lieux de visites incontournables. Nous avons été reçu très chaleureusement par les propriétaires qui sont réactifs et extrêmement prévenants. Nous les remercions pour cet accueil exceptionnel puisqu’ils ont tenu à nous faire bénéficier de leur délicieux petit déjeuner (fait maison avec produits ultra frais) malgré des horaires très matinales.

Les chiens errants dans la rue c'est vraiment un gros problème.. Très compliqué pour passer une bonne nuit. Il y'a des caméras qui donne directement sur les terrasses qui sont sensées être privés.. donc quand on se promène ou bien lorsque le nous sommes a tables, c'est a 2m de la caméra pile en face.. Pas de tables ou d'endroit pour manger a l'intérieur

En fait, c'est une adresse que l'on voudrait garder pour soi, une petite pépite. L'accueil est au-delà de toute attente, chaleureux, attentionné, un véritable partage.Un très grand merci pour ces échanges. Cette belle maison est au calme, très légèrement en retrait de la zone animée à laquelle on accède à pied sans problème pour les courses, les restos ou la plage. Si vous arrivez en voiture, un parking clos vous est réservé. Si vous souhaitez vous déplacer en taxi bus ou en bus les arrêts sont très proches. Si vous préférez le taxi, pas de souci, il suffit de demander et il s'arrêtera à la porte. Je pourrais continuer encore et encore en vous parlant de la qualité des petits déjeuners que vous prendrez sous la magnifique varangue en profitant des chants des oiseaux, de la propreté de l'hébergement, de la disponibilité de toute l'équipe....il vous manque quelque chose, il suffit de demander. J'arrête là mes éloges, à vous de découvrir.

Toute cette famille est formidable. Ashley est d'une bienveillance exceptionnelle. Nous avons passé 15 jours dans cette maison où nous avons pu nous ressourcer avec une douceur mauricienne. Le personnel est souriant et serviable à l'écoute de tout. La maman d'Ashey m'a trouvé une solution pour soulager mes coups de soleil. De superbes plages sont à proximités, sable,mer turquoise. Que du bonheur !

Struttura gestita da una famiglia gentilissima, sono molto attenti al cliente, È in una zona in alto su una collina molto tranquilla, in mezzo a campi di banane , panorama stupendo , terrazza sulla campagna con tavolo e sedie per ottimo relax Bellissimo monolocale molto ampio, composto da area cucina e camera con tv anche con Netflix, la cucina era, completa di tutti gli accessori, compreso la macchina Nespresso, tutti elettrodomestici nuovi, frigo grandissimo, Bagno comodissimo e ampio, lavatrice ultra moderna La colazione portata in terrazza all ora concordata, molto ricca, completa e varia Peccato averci passato solo 2 notti, la prossima volta ne faremo di più 🙏 Ci hanno aiutato anche a prenotare ristoranti per la cena che in zona non sono moltissimi e solitamente molto pieni Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente 👏👍

L'accueil, l'espace, l'équipement, la propreté. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour, nous serions s bien resté plus longtemps. Sur tros semaines de séjour et quatre établissements, celui-ci état le mieux !

Un véhicule est indispensable.

Ashley and his familiy are most welcoming, they were alwasy asking if they can do anything for us and if everything is as we like it. Breakfast was served on the deck at our apartment, we had omlet, pancakes, fruit, juice, buns chees, jam, tea we had ask for coffee which got capulas for the Nespresso mashine. Ashley organized excurions a massage recommended restaurants and things to do,his family cooked dinner for us twice as well, which was excellent and very much appreciated. We truly had a great time. The beds were very good, the apartment spacious and clean. Whenever we ask for new towls or having the apartment cleaned no problem, we got beach towls on the first day as well. We were able to park he car in their yard. They are an abslout lovely family.

If you want there is always something to complain. If you have a car getting to the beach ist easy, even if you walk you can get to the beach in town. There are grocery stores in walking distance, or you take the car to the next village no problem. There are lots of dogs, but they did not bother us, there were as well roosters who were loud at night. Maybe the only thing we were thinking of now, are some lounge chairs, since we were sitting outside a lot, most other pepole did not so its how your preference is.

Hébergement incroyable. la chambre était superbe (grande chambre avec salle de bain + terrasse extérieure) et equipée de tout ce qui est nécessaire (cuisine, frigo, machine à laver, micro-onde, ...). Varsha et Ashley sont adorables, accueillants. les petits déjeuners sont excellent, avec des produits frais. il y a même la possibilité d'avoir des dîners sur place (sur demande). nous avons eu la joie avoir un merveilleux repas (aux chandelles !!). l’emplacement est top, proche des plages et des restaurant en ville. (nous y allions à pied tous les soir). Concernant les commentaires sur la nuisance des aboiements des chiens errants : c'est totalement faux. il y a effectivement des chiens dans les rues qui aboient parfois lorsque l'on passe a pied la nuit mais qui se taisent aussitôt après. certains commentaires sont purement exagérés. donc, n’hésitez pas à aller chez Varsha et Ashley. Possibilité de louer une voiture sur place + place de parking. rapport qualité prix ++++ Notre vol retour a été retardé de 4 heures pour un décollage à 01h30 du matin. Varsha et Ashley n'ont pas hésité à nous laisser la chambre jusqu’à notre départ. donc Merci, merci pour votre gentillesse.

Accueil très chaleureux avec une réactivité d’Ashley à nos demandes, très prévenant (gentillesse de toute la famille) dans une grande maison entourée de verdure et d’oiseaux au calme. Très grand logement très bien aménagé, très propre, literie très confortable, très grande douche et tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner. Excellent petit déjeuner. Ashley nous a organisé l’excursion à l’île aux cerfs exactement comme nous le souhaitions. Aucun problème avec les chiens pour rejoindre les restaurants dans ce village authentique Nous reviendrons ! Perfekt Unterkunft, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Gastgeber waren total freundlich und haben uns viele Tipps zu Ausflügen gegeben oder diese sogar für uns organisiert. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett groß und bequem. Das Frühstück war total lecker, mit Ei und frischem Obst, haben es auf dem Balkon serviert bekommen. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super um den Osten von Mauritius zu erkunden. Danke für alles ☺️

Das Studio ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und komfortabel, bequemes Bett, tolle Terrasse, voll ausgestattete Küche. Das Frühstück wurde auf der Terrasse serviert und war abwechslungsreich und reichhaltig. Trou d'eau douce ist ein sehr typischer Ort mit relativ wenig Touristen (außer am Bootsanleger zu den Inseln). Wer das Mauritius außerhalb der Touristenpfade sucht, ist hier richtig. Trotzdem gute Gastronomie im Ort: Restaurants, Cafés, Supermärkte (die allerdings etwas anders sind als unsere).

Die Lage am Ortsrand. Um zum Strand zu laufen, brauchte man 10 - 15 Minuten. Ohne Bürgersteige und mit vielen streunenden Hunden unangenehm, besonders in der Dunkelheit. Aber dann kann man das Auto benutzen.

Very nice, cozy and lovely little appartment. It had everything we needed. Ashley and his family were very nice and welcoming. We got many recommendations on what and where to eat, also on what to do. Communication was always easy and fast. And we will surely miss the delicious breakfast on the veranda!

Habitación espaciosa, con todas las comodidades. Cocina completa, lavadora, baño súper grande, cama grande, sofás y terraza muy mona. Electrodomésticos de primeras marcas. Cama muy cómoda y amplia para dos personas. Desde el balcón, donde puedes desayunar cada día, puedes ver plataneras y el mar al fondo. Parking dentro de la propia casa. Sitio tranquilo para poder descansar y desconectar. Wifi muy rápido. El desayuno está muy rico y es muy variado. Cada día cambian alguno de los componentes del mismo. Y qué decir de los dueños: amables, dispuestos, simpáticos a más no poder. El día que llegamos nos enviaron muchísima información, sitios donde comer, qué visitar, excursiones que hacer. Hicimos una de las excursiones que nos recomendaban y estupenda. Fuimos a cenar dos días en uno de los sitios que recomendaban y magnífico. Toda la familia fue un amor. Incluso un día que teníamos que madrugar mucho, nos dieron algunas cosas de desayuno para el viaje.

Nada, sin dudarlo volvería.

Le logement est top. Il est grand, propre, confortable, bien équipé et bien décoré. L'architecture de la maison est très chouette. La famille et le personnel qui gèrent ce lieu sont adorables. Ce fut un réel plaisir de les rencontrer et de discuter avec eux. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est copieux et très agréable. Je ne manquerai pas d'y retourner lors d'un prochain voyage même si je ne suis pas trop fan de cette localité trop touristique à mon goût.

Le logement était parfait. La localité n'est pas celle que j'ai préféré sur l'île.

L’appartement est immense et très bien équipé. Jolie terrasse avec vue sur les bananiers.

Guest house molto ospitale, appartamento con tutto ciò che serve per un soggiorno anche lungo. La posizione è ottima e permette di accedere alle migliori spiagge della zona, e in un’ora raggiungere quelle a sud e a nord. Lo staff è disponibilissimo, pronto a soddisfare le richieste.

Все очень чисто. Завтраки отличные. Парковочное место есть. Нам порекомендовали места для шоппинга, пляжи и рестораны - все понравилось. Воспользовались туром по 5 островам - все понравилось.

Nous avons passé 5 jours jours exceptionnels chez Ashley et sa femme Varsha qui nous ont reçu chaleureusement.Leur gentillesse,leur disponibilité (grâce au groupe WhatsApp) ont rendu notre séjour inoubliable. Tout était parfait : la localisation près des plus belles plages, à quelques minutes à pied du centre village de Trou d 'eau douce avec plein de petits restos délicieux. Et que dire des magnifiques appartements où il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait : très grands lits confortables, très belle terrasse où se prélasser,petite cuisine, machine à café, machine à laver... Une mention spéciale à Sweetie qui nous apportait notre petit déjeuner tous les matins et à la maman d'Ashley qui nous préparait de délicieuses crêpes les matins ! Un seul regret : ne pas être restés plus longtemps !

Dogs in the neighbourhood are a bit annoying when walking to restaurants at night

We initially booked AHAVAH just because we had an early morning boat tour nearby, but the room was so comfortable and the hosts so welcoming that I wish we could have stayed longer. Ashley was super responsive and helpful from the moment I made the booking, and his entire family is friendly and welcoming. The homemade breakfast was top notch, and they were kind enough to prepare it early so that we could enjoy it before heading out on the boat tour. The facilities were clean and we had everything we could have needed, including a washing machine, mosquito repellent for night (definitely needed), and good wifi. Highly recommend!

Lovely environment, with parking. Family run business, who were very kind, mindful and informative. WhatsApp all information to us. The apartment was everything you could ask for, cooking, sleeping, wardrobe, washing machine, great shower. Bed big and comfortable, found us smaller pillows. Breakfast was delivered to our balcony which was very tasty each morning.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Especially heartly thanks to Ashley's mother to make it feel like home. Shruti who brought us delicious breakfast with a big smile. Everyone is super nice and sweet. It is a very good hotel/airbnb with a nice touch of family environment. Renting a car comes handy for roaming around Mauritius. All the excellent reviews given to them are well deserved.

The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood... Even street dogs were quiet 🤫 Everything went well in our stay. The host is a very kind person. It was very easy to communicate with him. He gave us many great tips for "what to do?", "where to eat" etc. Breakfast was very nice. The room was spacious and the bed was big and very comfortable.

Fabulous family run property where nothing is too much trouble. Some little touches throughout the stay made everything even better than expected. Ashley is clearly on top of everything and sets himself high standards. This shows through in the quality of fixtures and fittings. For example the bathroom and shower were of a higher standard than a 5 star hotel. Ashley and his family are always approachable and happy to help with information and assistance when needed. Very easy to recommend this property. It is also in the perfect location for booking for Île aux Cerfs. Just BOOK IT!

Location is ok, some people wouldn't like that you have to walk through some streets past stray dog to get to main street. For me it was fine, I thought it added character to the experience.

We stayed in the two-person apartment and liked it a lot. The apartments are located on the first floor facing west. The house is very close to the center of the village, but still in a green area and quiet. Parking is easy. The apartment as well as the bed are very spacious. Super clean. Additionally, the hosts made sure all the essentials are there, eg mosquito coil. The breakfast was great too! What is especially nice is the hosts being available and giving lots of great tips via Whatsapp. One could really feel how important our wellbeing was to them. Would definitely stay here again!

The only downside we could find was the positioning of the AC units outside. For both apartments they are right above the outside seating space on the terrace and noisy. This means, when you come back from a day trip and the apartment is super hot, it’s not nice to relax on the terrace and wait until the AC cooled down the room a bit. Our neighbours had their AC on all time, which also made it hard for us to find tranquility on the outside.

Perfect place and amazing host!

Ashley and Varsha, the hosts were great. They looked after all our needs. If you don't get a chance to book any activities before you get to Mauritius they will be able to sorts those out for you. The beech is very close to the guesthouse, infact you can see it from the balcony. We decided not to hire a car, but in retrospect it would have been better to rent a car. Rentals are quite cheap especially if you book online before your trip, otherwise you're looking at paying around MR 4500-5000 per day to hire a taxi. People have good road manners, so driving is very easy in Mauritius. It's a stunning island if you like nature.

This place is amazing! Starting with the warm welcome from the hosts, a beautiful, spacious, and very clean room, tasty and beautifully presented breakfasts, and wonderful support from the owners, who are a lovely family. The room has very good Wi-Fi, and the terrace offers a fantastic view. The location allows for an easy walk to the beach. We highly recommend it!

Absolutely everything. If I could, I would give more than 10. Amazing people with warm hearts, beautiful authentic place, fully equipped, stylish, and comfortable designs. Varsha and Ashley are the most caring hosts you have ever met. They look after you all the time, making sure you have everything you need. Fresh buns every morning cleaning available every day if you want, additional services also available. We had a massage given by the professional in our apartment. This was by far the best place I stayed in on my holidays, and I would recommend it to everyone going to Mauritius.

Everything was perfect!! The hospitality of the hosts exceeded our expectations by far. We had fresh buns delivered every morning though meals were not included :) Our hosts gave us all information about the closest attractions and sights worth visiting. Ashley the owner is a gem He goes out of his way to look after us. Making sure we are comfortable and his mother broughs us fresh baked bread every moring and one morning also fresh fruits, butter, cheese and jam. He drove us around trou d'eau douce to show us everything. He organised a boat trip for us. The best experience ever. Thank you Ashley for making our stay wonderful.

A little bit of Center

The hosts was very friendly and helpful. They send us the specifications about the accommodations and they were very helpful when we wanted some advices. We also had a fresh bread every morning. The place was very clean and quiet, it looks better than the pictures. We spend every night at the balcony just chilling. Also we got a many tips for restaurants near by. Very nice service. The hosts are really trying to have happy visitors.

There was an only problem that the power went off during the night so the emergency light went on. So there was a bright light. Also in the morning we had no electricity. But I believe it was a one time thing.

Ashley and his family were super helpful and made our stay as comfortable as possible. We got plenty of tips for local restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, tour options, etc. Breakfast was very tasted.

I loved everything about the property, the room was super clean (it smelt so fresh), the breakfast was delicious and the hosts Ashley, Varsha and the mother were hospitable. Keep it up with the warm welcome to your guests.

The parking garage was too tight as it had to fit in 3 vehicles but Ashley’s lovely mother was always there to help me with the gate and direct me with parking.

Ashley alongside with his family was extremely friendly and forthcoming from the get-go and provided us with recommendations about what to do in the area before we even arrived. He arranged us a breakfast for little money and offered support even after we departed. Absolute recommendation to stay at this lovely place!

In general, the many stray dogs at Trou d‘ Eau Douce around the streets are a problem and caused us to use our car for even very short trips.

The host, Ashley, and his family were just amazing. Everything is new and renovated and they gave us some bread and fruit every morning.

Just being a little bit peaky, the curtains are not enough and 5.30am you could get awake. But this is a little issue, the stay was fabolous.

The accommodation is quite exquisite, tastefully decorated, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail, from the thoughtful amenities to the pristine cleanliness, truly impressed me. Waking up to the gentle sounds of birds and the warm Mauritian sunrise on the terrace was a wonderful experience. The beautifully landscaped gardens and cozy outdoor seating areas provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection. It's an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring the island. Fantastic visit at a hidden gem on the East Coast. Ashley and his family treated us like royalty. This amazingly spacious apartment had a King Size comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances, aircon, wifi and even a brand new washing machine...what more can you ask for. Hosts provided us with 2 authentic Mauritian cuisine meals and arranged a catamaran trip for us at a very good rate. We really enjoyed the stay!

The property was beautiful and peaceful! The room was extremely clean and gorgeously decorated. The hosts were lovely, sweet and so accommodating. I would recommend to anyone, great stay!

The atmosphere of a family house is incredible! We enjoyed the stay also thanks to all the attentions of the hosts! The apartment is very nice, well equipped and comfortable, very large room and bathroom. Pleasant terrace for breakfasts!

The neighbourhood is a bit neglected with many stray dogs around: harmless but always barking towards pedestrians!

The accommodation was very clean and left nothing to be desired. It is equipped with a great kitchen and has all the necessary cooking utensils. Additionally, the bed was very comfy.

The staff was very kind and happy to help on anything we needed. The location is really good for visiting ille aux cerfs. Overall low price

The room was extremely hot, we had to keep the AC ON all the time to keep it liveable. Wifi only worked in half the apartment.

We stayed in apartment nr 4, which is spacious and provides you with any comfort you may wish for. A combi microwave oven, big fridge/freezer, washing machine, Air conditioning, kettle, etc, etc. Whatever you ask for, was provided by owner Ashley and his parents. They do everything to make you happy and comfortable! The apartments are all different so choose the one that meets your own requirements. We've have gained a new "family" in Mauritius and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!!!

Leaving after 5 weeks

Ashley was very kind and helpful despite his busy schedule. The place has all what you need with new appliances (big fridge, stove, washing machine and microwave) . Breakfast for 300 rupees was more than sufficient! That place is suitable for a solo traveller or a couple.

Walking in the neighbourhood in the evening can be a bit creepy but people and stray dogs are nice :)
