We had a wonderful five-day stay with our family and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely large veranda that was perfect for relaxing after a day out. The kids especially loved the pool, which was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. We also appreciated the reasonable prices for food and drinks at the hotel, which made dining there a convenient and good-value option. Although breakfast was not included in our room rate, there were plenty of options available. Overall, it was a lovely family stay, and we would happily return!

De locatie, heerlijk aan het strand

De badkamer was niet zoals op de fotos. De fotos zijn van een gerestaureerde kamer, maar dat is niet de kamer die je krijgt. Bij navraag bij de receptie blijken de fotos op booking.com van een 'Superior kamer' te zijn en niet het appartement wat je geboekt hebt. De douche is wel echt heel klein en het water spuit zo de badkamer in.. Verder viel de wifi erg tegen, waardoor je eigenlijk alles op mobiele data moet doen

El encanto del hotel es que está a pie de playa literalmente, la zona de sombrillas y la piscina estupendas. Toda la zona exterior es muy chula.

Que las fotos del apartamento son engañosas porque el hotel tiene una zona reformada y otra que no lo está y eso no lo sabíamos. Nos encontramos con una habitación muy antigua, la ducha no tenía ni mampara ni cortina, no había mesillas para dejar las cosas, un armario pequeño para cuatro. Estaba limpio pero para cuatro muy pequeño. La dueña nos dijo que tienen otros edificios con los apartamentos renovados, así que preguntad primero cuál os van a dar.

Das Appartement für 4 Personen hat zwar eine Küchenzeile, aber es ist etwas eng zum Sitzen und Essen. Die Küchenausstattung ist spärlich und Geschirrtuch, Spülmittel waren nicht vorhanden.

We loved that the hotel was brand new, modern and exceptionally clean. The staff and the owners were wonderful friendly, attentive and full of positive energy. The location was also excellent, within walking distance of Malia. The beach was beautiful, with very easy access to the sea. The sea was quite rough during our stay due to the season, but it was still lovely. Overall, we really enjoyed both the hotel and the wonderful atmosphere of Crete.

The location of the property is excellent. If you imagine a hotel right on the beach, this one ticks all the boxes. On top of that, the staff are wonderful. Everything is very clean. Perfect.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und sind rundum begeistert. Die Lage ist perfekt, das Personal durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend – wir haben uns wirklich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Ein kleines Problem mit dem Fernseher wurde noch am selben Tag gelöst – wir bekamen sofort ein neues Gerät. Unsere Kinder hatten riesigen Spaß im Pool und am Strand. Wenn man sich an einem Ort so wohl fühlt wie zu Hause, sagt das eigentlich schon alles. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Nous avons apprécié la vue depuis la chambre, l'emplacement, l'ambiance, il y a toujours de la musique au bar, on se sent véritablement en vacances. L'hôtel et ses environs sont jolis et propres. On peut manger au restaurant de l'établissement ou prendre à emporter, c'est très pratique, il y a même des supérettes accessibles à pied. Le fait qu'il se situe sur la plage est très agréable et confortable. Le personnel est top, ils sont souriants et plein de vie. Malia est une ville surprenante, l'ambiance du soir est sympa.

Certains clients 'réservent' les transats autour de piscine en posant leurs serviettes tôt le matin, c'est un peu énervant. Ce n'est pas un établissement pour les gens qui cherchent le calme absolu, mais personnellement ça nous convenait.

One of the most enjoyable vacations we had in a while. The team there is absolutely fantastic. I could write 2000 words to describe the whole vibe, but you really have to visit them to feel how warm, friendly, helpful and funny the whole team is.

one day our beach towel was taken by the cleaning personal without leaving a new one. Even after going to the reception we couldn‘t get a new one because they had a shortage, so bring your own. ants in front of the room, but they got removed quickly

leider haben meine freundin und ich schmuck verloren. Als wir dies meldeten wurde überhaupt nicht kooperiert und wir durften auch nicht ausreden. Uns wurde nur gesagt das die putzfrauen schon zu lange da sind und wit einfach zur polizei gehen sollen. Ebenso wird hier fast jeden tag Geburtstag gefeiert , was an sich nicht schlecht ist, aber überall liegen die ganzen konfetti und luftballoone, ebenso an den balkonen die verdreckt sind.

Eine schlichte, saubere und mit Herz geführte Unterkunft. Alles tip top sauber. Direkt am Meer, nahe von vielen Tavernen und wer mag kann die Nacht in einer der verschiedenen Bar‘s verbringen. Der Sandstrand ist flachabfallend mit glasklarem Meer. Eine tolle Bar beim Hotelpool bietet diverse Speisen und Getränken zu guten Preisen. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Rundum ein gelungener Aufenthalt.

Everything was perfect — the apartment, the location, and the service. The beautiful and comfortable pool with a pool bar was amazing, and right in front of it there was a private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas! The people working there are incredibly friendly and make the whole atmosphere a 10/10 ❤️❤️❤️

Het was een perfecte ligging, alles was schoon, personeel was heel aardig en interactief, met als kers op de taart natuurlijk mrs. Loula. Ze was zo lief, fijn, en ook een zelfaangeleerde cupido ;). Al met al, ontzettend genoten van onze korte maar zeer krachtige vakantie!

The only downside of the room with sea view was that the sun was bright in the morning and the curtains did not fully block the light, but this is a small price to pay for the absolutely stunning view from the balcony

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in! Everything was absolutely perfect. Our room was beautiful, modern, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The food was delicious with a great variety of dishes every day, and the cocktails were fantastic. The hotel is located right on a beautiful sandy beach with crystal-clear water. The sunbeds were very comfortable, and there were always plenty available, no matter what time of day. The swimming pool was also beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. However, the greatest treasure of this hotel is its staff. We have never met such kind, warm, friendly, and genuinely caring people anywhere else. They made our holiday truly unforgettable. A very special thank you to Lula, who is the heart and soul of this hotel. She is an incredible person—funny, caring, full of positive energy, and she made everyone smile every single day. She created such a wonderful atmosphere that we felt at home from the very first moment. We would also like to thank our amazing waitress Maria, who looked after us every day with the biggest smile. She was always kind, professional, cheerful, and simply wonderful. We also want to thank the two male waiters. They were equally fantastic, friendly, funny, and always made us feel welcome. Every single member of the staff deserves recognition. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made this holiday truly special. We highly recommend this hotel from the bottom of our hearts, and we will definitely come back!

Great location. Close to supermarket, shops and eateries. Room was clean and well kept and amazing views from the sea view room. Pool and beach wasnt overcrowded like the other hotels. However Malia itself seems to be a destination for young holidaymakers and not so suitable for families as there were a lot of vaping and swearing and ATVs driving madly on the streets by these young tourists. Luckily this hotel was at the less busy end and was a lot quieter. The staff including cleaners were amazing and kind and you could see they took pride in their work. After each time rooms were cleaned the cleaners even artistically folded our pjs on our bed. Nice touch. Overall a lovely hotel.

If you order drinks or food be sure to pay straight away or on the day. Do not charge to your room. They do not have a system like most hotels where you sign for what you order and have a receipt of proof.. On the last day when we checked out, the hotel slapped us for this huge amount of food and drinks that we never consumed. Perhaps some other group decided to use out room number for their food and drinks? In the end, after much arguing and made to feel like we were lying and avoiding paying, the hotel had to accept that there was a mistake and we were able to pay for just what we consumed. The hotel was such a lovely experience up till that day which was an unfortunate way to end the stay and left a bad experience for us.

We spent an unforgettable week at the Akrogiali Beach Hotel. The apartment we chose was absolutely worth the money, with a breathtaking view of the pool and the sea. It was beautifully furnished with an ultra-modern design, reflected high quality. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the jacuzzi on the terrace maintained a constant temperature of 37°C all week. The hotel’s location is perfect. Just 100 meters to the right there is a well-stocked convenience store, while to the left you can find a breakfast café, pastry shop, and countless restaurants and cocktail bars. The old town is also reachable with a comfortable 20-minute walk, where I highly recommend the Classico restaurant. Malia’s most beautiful sandy beach is located directly in front of the hotel. Beach towels were automatically replaced every day, and the housekeeping staff were incredibly kind and thorough. The sunbeds by the beach and around the pool were very comfortable, just like the bed in our room. We often had breakfast and lunch at the pool bar, and I highly recommend the shrimp pasta, fried calamari, and gyros platter. The house white wine was also fantastic. But the hotel’s true hidden gem is the attitude of the staff and the owner. It is an exceptionally family-friendly hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where the owner, Loula, clearly puts her whole heart and positive energy into running the place. The guys working at the pool bar were constantly joking around, entertaining the guests, and making everyone smile. Lula and Bessem made us laugh many times and created such a caring and homely atmosphere. From the very moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a very kind Dutch receptionist, whom we would also like to thank for his overwhelming enthusiasm and love for the island, which quickly became contagious for us as well.

The staff were always in high spirits and had the best vibes, our room was cleaned everyday and had excellent supplies.

Es entsprach den Bildern und das Personal war so freundlich, dass man sich gar nicht traut eine schlechte Bewertung zu schreiben.

Das Hotel entspricht zwar den Bildern, allerdings ist die Anlage sehr klein und wird maximal ausgelastet, auch off-Season! Das Publikum ist gemischt, aber eher rauchend und trinkend. Dazwischen gibt es Kinder die zur lauten Poolmusik schwimmen. Plastik-Konfetti liegt, wie in anderen Bewertungen tatsächlich auch überall rum. Der Strand ist für Massen ausgelegt. Auf den Bildern sieht das sehr idyllisch aus… Das Essen am Pool ist unterirdisch, altes Fett in der Fritteuse und der griechische Salat (wo man denkt nichts falsch zu machen) schwimmt im Öl.

Man wird den ganzen Tag an der Poolbar beschallt mit lauter Partymusik. Gäste feiern ausgiebig ihre Geburtstage am Pool ,das Personal der Poolbar bewirft alles mit Plastikluftschlangen und Glitzerkonfetti und unbeteiligte Gäste werden dadurch massiv belästigt .Ausserdem weht der Wind die Plastikschlangen ins Gras ,wo sie keiner aufhebt und noch nach etlichen Tagen die Überreste stören . Die bequemen Liegen am Strand sind kostenpflichtig, während die Poolliegen mit Beschallung kostenfrei sind ! Die Küche ist rudimentär ausgestattet, es fehlt Spüli ,Schwamm und Geschirrtuch !! Die Parkplatzsiuation ist nicht zufriedenstellend

Das Akrogiali Beach Hotel überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft – direkt am Meer gelegen, mit einem fließenden Übergang vom Pool zum Strand. Es gibt kaum etwas Schöneres, als jederzeit spontan ins kristallklare Wasser springen zu können. Schon bei der Ankunft fühlt man sich sofort willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Die herzliche Art der Hotelbesitzerin sowie des gesamten Personals schafft eine familiäre und angenehme Atmosphäre, in der man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Auch die Lage ist ideal: Das Stadtzentrum ist in kurzer Zeit bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Gleichzeitig findet man im direkten Umfeld alles, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht – von Restaurants bis hin zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort, um zu entspannen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Absolut empfehlenswert – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Amazing location. Staff are incredibly friendly. In front of the beach! And probably I would say one of the best beach spots in Malia. Totally family-friendly hotel. 100% recommended, will surely come back.

As the reception is not guarded 24/7, it might be difficult to get assistance if you have a difficulty; however, the people at the bar are more than willing to help.

Struttura fantastica fronte mare, di design, la nostra camera era vista piscina e mare, appena siamo arrivati ci hanno offerto un benvenuto al bar. Stanza luminosa e di design. Parcheggio e rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Arrivando a malia abbiamo scoperto che la struttura ha anche un altro gruppo di appartamenti che chiamano Garden e sono stupendi anche quelli

Perfekte Lage am sehr schönen Sandstrand, super sauber, sehr freundliches und bemühtes Personal. Ruhig und unaufgeregt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick und es war einfach wunderschön! Sonnenseiten am Strand kosten 10€, sehr fair. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen!!

Keine Haken für Handtücher außerhalb der Dusche :-) Und an Geschirrhandtücher/Lappen für die Küche denken bzw. kaufen. Aber das sind wirklich Kleinigkeiten!

Unser Apartment war direkt am Pool. Kein Lärm und Geschrei. Alles sehr ruhig. Kurze Wege. Meer, Restaurant, Bar. Sonnenschirme und Liegen waren in großer Anzahl immer frei. Der Blick aus dem Bett zum und in den Pool war klasse. Küchenausstattung war gut.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen und etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum gelegen. Es sind wenige Schritte bis zum Strand! Der Strand ist hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind ganz nett und grundsätzlich gut ausgestattet. Die Küchenzeile könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein (z.B. spülschwamm, Trockentücher..). Die Zimmerreinigung ist sehr gut. Das Personal sehr freundlich und sehr bemüht. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Die Zimmer(türen) sind leider sehr hellhörig.

Sehr großzügiges und helles Zimmer komplett renoviert und insgesamt sehr ruhiges Hotel. Lage ist top, direkt am Strand und gleichzeitig viele Restaurants und Shops fußläufig erreichbar. Das Hotel hat zudem viele kostenfreie Parkplätze. Der Pool hat alles, was man braucht, zudem schöner Sandstrand und das Meer war während unseres Aufenthalts klar und sauber

Leider hat der Abfluss im Bad immer wieder stark gerochen. Das Personal an der Poolbar ist zudem recht feierwütig und dadurch ist die Lautstärke auch aufgrund lauter Musik im Poolbereich immer wieder sehr hoch gewesen. Für uns, die relaxen und lesen wollten, war der Pool deshalb keine Option.

Heerlijke locatie met fijn zwembad en direct aan het strand. Fantastische poolbar met zeer gezellige crew. Zeer nette kamer.

The sunbeds are not included in the price of the room witch is a pity because is one of the main advanteges to get a hotel room in a hotel with a private beach..( and also the price isn’t the cheapest)

We verbleven in een mooi verzorgde kamer met een jacuzzi op het balkon – een heerlijk extraatje! Het balkon lag 's ochtends in de schaduw, waardoor het ideaal was om buiten te ontbijten. Het zetelbed was slim geplaatst en vormde een perfect kinderbed voor ons zoontje, wat erg handig was. De locatie is uitstekend: direct aan het strand en op wandelafstand van supermarkten en gezellige restaurantjes. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is vlakbij. Ook het zwembad en de bar waren een echte meerwaarde. De sfeer was ontspannen en het personeel ontzettend vriendelijk en enthousiast. We voelden ons echt in de watten gelegd!

De jacuzzi op het terras lekte een beetje, waardoor er plassen water ontstonden – niet ideaal. Aan het zwembad waren er veel handdoekleggers: mensen die ’s ochtends ligstoelen bezetten en ze vervolgens uren niet gebruikten, wat het moeilijk maakte om zelf een plekje te vinden. Daarnaast zou een koffiezetapparaat op de kamer handig zijn. Nu was er enkel een percolator, wat minder praktisch is. Ook een minimale keukenuitrusting, zoals afwasmiddel en een keukendoek, zou het verblijf comfortabeler maken.

Ein kleines Paradies direkt am Strand! Das Akrogiali Beach Hotel wird mit viel Herz und persönlichem Engagement geführt. Besonders Lula und Ihr Team machen den Aufenthalt unvergesslich – sie sind jederzeit für ihre Gäste da, unglaublich herzlich und Lula ist einfach ein echtes Original. Die Lage ist einzigartig: direkt am schönsten Sandstrand von Malia. Keine Felsen, keine Seealgen – das Meer ist klar und geht flach hinein, ideal zum Schwimmen und Entspannen. Ins Stadtzentrum mit vielen ausgezeichneten Lokalen spaziert man gemütlich in nur etwa zehn Minuten. Wer lieber in der Nähe bleibt, findet aber auch direkt an der Straße beim Hotel sehr gute Restaurants. Kein Wunder, dass so viele Stammgäste immer wieder zurückkehren. Wer familiäre Atmosphäre, echte Gastfreundschaft und die beste Lage in Malia sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

לולה נהדרת. רמת שירות מהגבוהה ביותר שפגשנו. חדרים נעימים, נקיים, מיטות נוחות ומטבח מאובזר. החוף מסודר, האוכל נהדר והמיקום מעולה.

בשעות הערב הקבלה סגורה. אם נדרש משהו, לא ניתן לתקשר רק בשעות הבוקר עד אחהצ.

Das Appartement war sehr sauber und hat beste Lage! Das Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt! Frau Lula , die Chefin, ist überaus freundlich und nett. Aber auch alle Anderen sind sehr bemüht den Aufenthalt Aller so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
