Great parking spot plus room was on ground level, with stunning sea view.

We could have our fur baby with us.

Couldn't figure out the TV system but it didn't matter the scenery was better!

It was not a deluxe apartment that l paid for.it was cold and very poor outdated furniture they really need to have heat pumps. And update the TV also having a fan excator in the bathroom.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Our host greeted us upon arrival, she was very bubbly and welcoming. Great communication and instructions throughout the booking and check in process. Beautiful scenery, location, peaceful and handy to nearby food sources. Comfortable beds, great facilities and clean. Absolutely stunning. We are planning to rebook over the summer

The location was remote and quiet, the view was incredible, felt like looking out of a tropical resort in Hawai'i

Nothing to do with the Lodge itself, we had some noisy neighbours, but they were just having fun.

Firstly, our room was exceptionally clean!! Secondly perfect views, had everything we needed. Water was hot. Bed was too soft for me at first but my husband had the best sleep he’s had in a while in that bed so very grateful. Check in was quick and easy.

The shower, it’s old school but no complaints it is what it is and got the job done! Definitely wouldn’t cause us not to come back.

If you transplanted this motel to Sydney or the Queensland coast, you would pay a fortune to stay there. What a find. I had a big motel room with separate double bedroom and a single bed in the living area. There was a decent kitchen, and it had been attractively renovated. The views are fantastic. And it’s walking distance to the only eating place in Whangaroa, the Sport Fishing Club (excellent).

Location was quite and peaceful with a view of the amazing river side. Went for a morning walk with my parents and loved the flora and fauna around it.

Occupying an elevated position it has great views over the harbour from the terrace surrounding the property, although there are no views from the room itself Rooms are quite large with separate living and bedroom, with small kitchenette

Great location with incredible sea views from the balcony. Lisa was very welcoming and so easy to communicate with, & we were made to feel at ease with our 2 dogs with nothing being a problem. There were fantastic walks along the harbour front to the wharf which our dogs loved! We enjoyed the BBQ facilities and would definitely book here again as value for money was really great at this time of year. We really enjoyed the location, fishing at the wharf, going out for a fantastic day on the ocean with Nautilus game fishing, and climbing the Bull nose just down the road with the most spectacular views! - the fishing Club is also excellent, with cheap drinks and does amazing burgers! We will absolutely be back, thanks for a wonderful stay Lisa!

The place has seen its best days. Everything is a little worn out and dirty. The inside as well as the outside. When I opened the drawer with the kitchen utensils some where dirty… It’s the kind of place you leave your flip flops on and wash the cutlery and plate before you use them. The bed linens were clean but some stains were present that apparently do not go out anymore. I am somewhat sorry to write this review as the owner is probably doing her best but the place feels like they gave up on it-the for sale sign does not help the feeling of being given up on. The road is just underneath the lodge and was frequently used the night we were there. WiFi was very shaky in our room (seaview). We were happy to move on.

The lodge has a wonderful view, very beautiful sunset. And it closes a little dock, easy to fishing.

The unit is small, three beds in the sitting room. But still everything you needed.

The view is nice and the room was clean, and there are many wonderful natural sites to visits within driving distance. If you want clean, quiet and simple - this place works.

The driveway was super steep and the first car park was awkward to navigate, it made me nervous and I’m not the nervous type. I’d recommend the second driveway further up. There is no air conditioning and with summer humidity it’s noticeable, the fan provided just circulated warm air.

Beautiful location over seeing the beautiful nature of its natural surroundings. The ocean views the peace and quiet, friendly owners clean tidy and warm. Didn’t need a oven, what was provided was good enough. Good sleeping conditions .Owners , even txt hr, before arriving letting me know my family we’re taken care of. My second stay since Waitangi Day, I’ll recommend great service and accommodation ☺️just enjoy your stay while you can ☺️

Be honest a few more towels could have been given on a four day stay. Not a worry had backup towels.

Location / outlook is beautiful - so peaceful and quiet. Awesome expansive views of the water. The staff were lovely. We went for dinner at the local fishing club and it was EXCEPTIONAL - such great food, great portions and great prices.

Felt like in a fishbowl at night as the curtain on the main living area, which all other guests on the adjourning units must walk past was just a sunshade, not actual curtains so there was no privacy at all in most of the unit. This was the only thing we didnt like and perhaps it was just our unit that it was a problem for.
