Sehr freundliche Menschen - sowohl Leitung als auch Gäste. Gästeküche brauchbar mit zwei Gasherden, extrem gemütlicher Aufenthaltsraum mit Spielen und Büchern und mehreren Katzen.

Bei dem notorisch klammen Wetter in San Agustin wäre ein heizbarer Raum gut! Außerdem fehlen in Bädern und Zimmern (wie überall) Haken bzw. Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen von Handtücher und Kleidern. Bitte auch die Küche nochmal nachrüsten (Geschirrtücher, Spülmittel, Teekanne)!

L’emplacement de l’hôtel, un peu en retrait du village, dans un cadre luxuriant et permettant d’atteindre le parc archéologique à pied, ainsi que la disponibilité d’Harry, hôte des lieux.

Personnel très gentil et serviable. Très agréable jardin fleuri de différentes espèces, cadre naturel à 15 minutes du centre. Idéalement situé pour aller au parc archéologique à pied en 30 min, une belle balade.

Une partie de la route d'accès est un peu raide et en mauvais état lorsqu'il pleut

Tiene jardines y vista espectacular a las montañas.

Muy bonita la casa, pero el tener pisos de madera hace que se genere mucho ruido, ya que se escucha cada paso que dan las personas. Un dia durante mi estadía, varios huéspedes quedaron conversando en un tono de voz alto en el area de recepción, todo esto se escucha en la habitación compartida en el piso de arriba. Deberían haber reglas de silencio en ciertas horas

Cela fait 2 mois que nous voyageons en Colombie et je dois dire que la casa de Nelly est de loin le meilleur hébergement que nous avons pu avoir ! La chambre est spacieuse, sur les hauteurs de la ville. Nelly est très gentille et aime partager des moments avec les voyageurs, on a même fait un barbecue tous ensemble ! Ça aura vraiment été 4 nuits relaxante et géniale sur notre voyage !

Harry es una gran persona y tiene historias muy interesantes.

Franchement, un hôtel que j’ai adoré. Un havre de paix au milieu de la verdure, dans une ambiance cosmopolite et bienveillante. L’endroit était maintenu propre 24/24. On se sent bien Casa Nelly !

Peut-être la côte avant d’arriver, un peu dure quand on a un sac à dos, mais c’est un détail.

Near perfect location

There are many lovely and affectionate cats, but unfortunately my wife is allergic to them. This wasn’t a problem in our room, but the shared lounge was an issue.

Very beautiful hostal - very friendly and helpful owner that will help you out to make sure you can join a tour (horseback riding to remote places ; full day tour, etc). I would recommend a minimum of 2 full day tours of sightseeing. Very clean and spacious hostal.

Matress of the female dorm was a bit hard. It is a 25min walk to town or 8000p for a taxi. I only took a taxi to go back after dinner.

Well, what can I say, well firstly, we booked 2 nights & stayed 6!!... this place was recommended by another hostel host in Salento & I'm so glad they did. Thank you, Gabriel! So, it's not in town, just what we wanted, the walk might not be for everyone but we didn't mind it. The place is so peaceful, green, and quiet but has lots of natural sounds throughout the day, lots of birdlife. We had a double room that was a little hut on its own, very sweet. We shared a bathroom & shower with other guests, but this was never an issue. There is a well equipped kitchen for guests to use, lots of utensils & plenty of seating for many guests. The hostel is situated not far from the archaeological site, 20 min walk. The hostel host, Harry, recommended we take a moto taxi up to another site, La Chaquira $10 each way, free entrance to the site. You go down a lot of steps to 2 different viewing platforms looking out over 3 waterfalls, coffee plantations on steep hills & the Magdalena river. This was a great thing to do, we loved it. The town has such a great feel to it, we made friends easily, ate in good restaurants. The hostel vibe was chilled, and we met lots of interesting travellers, spent time with them, and our host Harry most evenings, great conversation & helpful travel advice. We used the laundry service, best we ever had in South America, so fast! All the ladies working there were really lovely, kept the place so clean. They were always smiling and singing! The best part was all the friendly cats and dogs, so cute and the hammock area to chill out in jn the grounds.

En general la estancìa fue muy comoda, el desayuno fue muy completo, hay juegos y libros para entreternerse. Todo es muy cómodo y ameno para estar, el personal es muy amable, hay souvenirs del Huila, incluso hay animales domesticos muy amorosos, como el gatito siamés que está por el lobby.

Lo unico es que si llegan a San Agustín por bus procuren ir en camioneta que les deja hasta el pueblo porque el bus deja en el terminal que queda a 15 minutos de San Agustín y el taxi hasta el lugar puede costar al rededor de 12 mil pesos o más.

It's like a fairytale grandma house that feels more like a home than a hostel, surrounded by beautiful plants. Great kitchen, lots of cozy places to chill, super clean, and not far from the village and archeological site. And best of all, lots of super cuddly cats and dogs

The location is great and amidst nature. Outside areas are very comfortable, you can chill on the terrace or hang out in the hammocks. The staff is super friendly and tranquilo and they do everything to make you feel at home and help you explore the area. Breakfast is fresh and good. Place is very clean as well. I would definitely come back, muchas gracias!

Everything! Hotel Casa de Nelly is a little paradise. My friend and I had the most wonderful two nights there but we could have stayed for much longer! The architecture and décor is beautifully curated to create a natural and homely environment. The garden surrounding the property has the most vibrant colours, you are truly immersed in nature. The staff and the hostel manager Harry especially were extremely kind, generous and went above and beyond to help us have the most memorable stay. Cannot wait to come back!

Be prepared for a tough climb uphill (unpaved road) and don’t forget to take a torch if you intend to return after sunset.

Beds were comfy and the room was quite big so it felt like each person had their own space even though we were sharing a room - I slept well here The shared spaces including the kitchen were well maintained and felt cosy Other guests and staff were lovely

Could have been more/brighter lighting in the room and not every bed has power points close by. Although this probably contributed to my good sleep so maybe a good thing overall

It’s about 15 minutes walking up from the Plaza Bolivar, which can be difficult for some (around 7000Cop for a taxi there) … Still reading? Good, because this place is incredible, and the best hostel we’ve stayed in Colombia! We arrived soaking wet from our walk from the city centre, and the lady present was very nice to us, offering us the room of our choice at the price we reserved and also made coffee just for us. The room was very comfortable, well furnished and decorated, and overall such a nice place for relaxing and sleeping. Talking about relaxing, there’s so many places around the hostel to relax: hommocks, swinging beds, table and chairs etc. We’ve decided to stay another night just to relax around the hostel! The showers are nice, just like the kitchen. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Casa de Nelly, and it’s no wonder why the ratings are so high, and deservdly so.

A beautiful big old house on the outskirts of town, with nice gardens and gazebos to relax in. One of the nicest dorms I have ever stayed in, very spacious, bright, with antique furniture and no bunk beds! Harry was very friendly and the dogs and cats were super sweet.

I really enjoyed my stay at Casa de Nelly! It's an amazing place to relax, enjoy the great little town of San Antonio and amazing nature surroundings. The house is very clean and comfortable, and staff super friendly. Highly recommended!

Lovely hostel in a quite area of San Agustin, very cozy and clean, beautiful garden with hammocks and beds, super friendly and welcoming staff, veery spacious dorms with super comfy beds (probably the biggest 4 bed dorm I've ever seen), in the morning you can hear the birds and in the night the cicadas, lovely cats and dogs, hot water for shower, you can order food from different restaurants, such a beautiful place to relax for a few days and pretty hard to leave

Nelly’s doesn’t feel like a hostel or hotel, it feels like home. The rooms are super spacious, even the dorms. There’s a team of staff working to keep everything nice - the garden is so beautiful and the facilities are great. There’s a well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room. Harry is super helpful and the vibe is just gorgeous.

Everything. I have not given a 10 before. This little paradise is all you can ask for (unless you are looking for partying). A bit outside of town, but wow, frontage female dorm you have the most spectacular view, the vibes are so chill, the garden, the pavilions with hammocks and swinging beds… the kitchen is great, wifi working, nice hot showers… well, hard to leaveY will always remember 🙏🏻

What a beautiful place and lovely people! Casa Nelly is not a hostel it is a house shared by travellers. A beautiful garden a home-like feeling and everything is well thought to make the travellers' life easy. It is some half an hour walking from the center but it was my preference not staying in the center. Wish i have a Casa Nelly every town i go!

Had a great stay at Casa de Nelly, I reserved 3 nights but stayed 5 in the end. The staff and volunteers are the best, very helpful. A little paradise just outside of town with a family feel. Thanks Harry!

The building is beautiful and charming, the facilities provided make you feel at home, the garden is a paradise, but the best part of the stay was the staff :)

This was one of the best locations we have ever stayed at! The staff were very friendly and the actual grounds were awesome.

You do need to hike up a hill to get there, but it’s nothing too strenuous and actually worthwhile for the peace and quiet

We got a cabin here which was beautiful. Secluded, two floors. There was lots of nice sociable guests in the main bit and Harry(?) who was running the place couldn't have been more helpful with organising local tours and giving us info. There was lots of lovely wee doggos knocking about too. The gardens were beautiful.

I banged my head a lot on various low ceilings but 🤷 European problems. The path up is unpaved and very steep which is tricky for cars in rainy season.

Casa de Nelly is a gorgeous, relaxing retreat about 10-15mins walk from the town centre. The room was immaculate, and all the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The staff are super helpful with everything. There are many spots to sit in and relax, in comfortable chairs or hammocks. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

Good breakfast and fabulous coffee! Helpful information from the staff. Wonderful outdoor areas to chill out in. Nice living room to hang out in and talk to others. Felt like home. I miss it already! Easy nice walk to town- 2 routes possible. Walkable to archaeological site. Long but enjoyable. Closer to the archaeological site than places in town. I rented a motorcycle for the day and enjoyed exploring the larger area.

Super friendly staff. Harry, the manager, is a wealth of information. The lovely lady who does the breakfast (very good!) and lots of other jobs is wonderful too. We had a lovely view over the town. Great shared space to relax inside and outside.

If you’re not keen on dogs and cats, this isn’t the place for you. Rooms are basic but functional. It was exciting going up our wonky stairs to go to bed. We needed to order in every night (instead of the walk to town) - the takeaway was very good.

The best hostel I've stayed in in my 6 months of travelling South America. The entire hostel is super clean thanks to the daily cleaning and the kitchen is big with everything you need to cook. Beds are comfy and rooms are spacious with places to store your items. There's lots of common areas to sit in with board games. Harry, the owner, is an absolute gem and is great for a chat as well as full of advice of the surrounding area. As it's located just outside the town, it's very peaceful. The hostel is a 15 minute walk from a big supermarket.

Amazing location on the hill, really quiet, and super nice and helpfull staff, can not be better. It was so relaxing, you can hike, enjoy the garden and just relax there, go on a horse ride or to archeological parks.

The manager was just fantastic. He couldn't have been more helpful! It was election day, so the buses were not so easy to book/find. Thank you! The hostel: The place was immaculate and cosy. Hotel Casa de Nelly is wonderful. The staff if friendly and very helpful, the accomodation perfectly charming and very comfortable. It is situated within walking distance of the town, and still feels like the midst of jungle. Highly reccomended!!

I can't really think of anything. Just make sure to get some food to cook in the communal kitchen because they only serve breakfast. All was wonderful.

This is probably the cutest hostel in the whole of Colombia. Gorgeous gardens, spacious dorms, spotless baths, shared kitchen, and lots of social areas. Big shout-out to Harris and the rest of the staff for their kindness.

Everything was top notch, best hostel I have stayed in during my 6 months of traveling through South America. The atmosphere, the beautiful house, the garden with all its little corners and patios to relax on. The rooms and beds are super comfortable. Daily housekeeping ensures everything is spotlessly clean. Harry is amazing and loves helping and giving tips for tours and your travel in general. The house is full of lovely and cute pets. The kitchen for the guests is fully equipped.

I really don't have any remarks, everything was perfect.

This is truly a special place. The location is absolutely stunning outside of town with a beautiful garden and lots of places to enjoy nature, chill or chat to people. The staff really goes above and beyond for their guests and make them feel at home (s/o to Harry for helping me with all my requests, such as horseback riding tours, food recommendations, etc)

This place feels like home away from home. It's clean and comfortable. Showers are hot. Staff super helpful, good tips to plan your trip.

Great staff, cute hostel, very good price. The host gave us great recommendations for activities and helped us organise the greatest horse riding experience ever (with great guide Christian) where we visited many archeological sites in the area. The room had a shared bathroom, but the shared bathroom was ok. The hostel is a bit outside of the town (ca 15 min walk up the hill), but taxis are super cheap and the location is just great (in the middle of the nature with lots of birds etc)

Casa de Nelly is a beautiful place to stay in San Agustin! Our room was amazing with view of the city. They have a beautiful garden, with a lot of common areas to chill out. Inside living room with fireplace in the night. Nice kitchen full equipped. It's a great place to meet travelers and relax. The path to argeological park is easier and closer from here . Thank you Hari for everything and all the girls that working, always with a smile! We really enjoyed our stay!!
