Desaku Bungalows

J'ai adoré mon séjour au Desaku, un vrai dépaysement et mention spéciale au calme des lieux aloès qu'il se trouve à quelques mètres d'une rue très fréquentée de Canggu. Le personnel est adorable

Everything was good only if you have a bungalow with a neighbor just regular talking you can hear it pretty good but it wasnt a problem. Other then that everything was perfect

Location is fab. Pool was lovely and always empty. People clearly staying there but not noisy considering it’s in such a busy area. Room was a decent size and had a fridge. Perfect for solo travelers. Right near the night life aswell!

The location was great. Staff was helpful when needed.

The room was very dark. I was located on the top floor. Could not open the windows as there were too many mosquitoes and the cats kept coming inside the room.

Le lieu est vraiment sympa, un petit havre de paix à proximité de la ville. Les bungalows sont propres, le mobilier typique balinais. Il y a un mini frigo et une bouilloire. Les bungalows famille sont composés de 2 bungalows qui sont communiquants. Le ménage est effectué tous les jours et les serviettes sont remplacées. La cuisine partagée est équipée de tout le nécessaire, une fontaine (eau non fraiche) est à disposition. Il y a également un billard. La piscine est grande et équipée de 12 transats. Je recommande ce lieu qui est un bon rapport qualité-prix.

La rue qui donne accès à la résidence est étroite et boueuse. Des travaux sont en cours (mais aucune nuisances sonores)

I have stayed at Desaku Bungalows before. My budget is usually AUD60 per night or less and this fits right in that window for accommodation in Canggu. They've added more bungalows/rooms since I was here last, but it didn't take away the serenity of the place. As at June 2026 the extra rooms' construction have been halted, and I can understand why - seeing reviews for the months when it started. I always love the pool here, because it is right under the sun to get your tan in. I normally just work from my room and the facilities are adequate.

Great staff, the property is very pretty and green. Loved the pool, there’s a very good common area where you can cook, relax, have a beer at night. They also have a bike rental so you don’t need to book your bike elsewhere

The bed wasn’t very comfortable

Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel Kamers waren erg proper, elke dag werd er schoongemaakt. Er was een muskietennet en een antimuggentabletje naast het bed. Koelkastje in de badkamer. Meer dan voldoende kastruimte om je spullen kwijt te kunnen. Gelegen achterin een zijstraat van de grote baan waar alles te doen is. We boekten de familiekamer, directe verbinding met de kinderen, top!

Het zwembad was niet zo goed onderhouden (groene aanslag, ook op je zwemkleding te merken) Ernaast waren ze aan het bouwen, wat voor geluidsoverlast zorgde vanaf 8u 's morgens.

The bathroom door handles could do with a clean, so dirty, and the bed mosquito net was dirty also, other than that I enjoyed my stay

I like that it’s quiet. They have a really nice garden, it feels like you are living in a well-manicured forest. A lot of people who stay in other hotels complained about the motorcycle noise in the evening, but there’s no noise at all in Desaku. The sheets and towels are a little worn out but they are clean and smelled of fresh linens.

The lighting. The room is a bit dark. There’s no sufficient lighting. I cannot open the door or window because I’ll lose the coolness of the AC and would let mosquitoes in. The entry from the reception to the garden up to my accommodation is a bit dark for me, i have a special night blindness case though. Also, there are really dark parts along the 100-meter alley from the road to the Hotel, so you have to be extra cautious not to step on dog poop… but, all is well. My over all stay was great!

Instalaciones muy bonitas y funcionales ! El bungalows con todo lo necesario para una estancia perfecta! La piscina con tumbonas y sombrillas era ideal para las tardes ! Y el personal súper amable en todo momento. Tuve un pequeño inconveniente con el A/C porque que no enfriaba pero ellos enseguida lo solucionaron cambiándome de bungalow ! Muchas gracias ! I liked the area, close walking distance to everything.

Beds were quite hard, only got 1 pillow and a sheet. Preferably I sleep with more pillows and blankets.

Bijzonder aardige en behulpzame balie/medewerkers. De dagelijkse schoonmaak verliep ook vlekkeloos. De lokatie is wat mij betreft ook prima.

De bouwwerkzaamheden pal ernaast viel tegen. Ook het vooruitzicht dat er 20 appartementen bij Desaku bijkomen erg dicht op de bestaande bungalows lijkt mij geen gunstig vooruitzicht. En jammer dat er geen ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Maar verder een prima adres.

Très bien situé, à proximité de tout, mais en même temps coin très calme. Un petit carré de nature dans une ville très animée. Les chambres sont très propres, nettoyées tous les jours. L'extérieur est très bien entretenu. Staff très aimable et serviable. Piscine au top, et cuisine commune avec tous le nécessaire à disposition. Je suis venue pour 1 semaine, finalement j'y suis restée 3.

Speciel lugt på værelset. Der var alt for lydt og man kunne tydeligt høre, hvad dem i de tilstødende værelser talte om. Det var svært at putte vores mindste grundet stemmer fra naboværelset.

The rooms don’t really look like the pictures, it’s pretty much open, with insect holes in the doors, there’s spacing when you close the door so humidity levels inside the room are way too high. Bed has nice mosquito nets though, and super comfy

Awesome location in the heart of Canggu, staff were very welcoming, cleaners were amazing and made up our room every day which was wonderful. Would definetly stay again the positives outweighed any negatives.

Pillow was a little bit hard, also would be good to have some face cloths along with the towels - but other than that great. Pool looks like it needed a clean due to the sand from tourists going to the beach then coming back to the pool - looks like sand hasn't been cleaned out in quite a while. Construction next door didn't bother us.

Super Lage, ruhig und dennoch leicht alles zu erreichen. Alle Mitarbeiter sind unglaublich aufmerksam und herzlich. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, wir haben paar Mal den Aufenthalt verlängert. Vielen Dank !!!

There was no toothbrush/paste , and no shampoo (only body wash was there)

The hotel was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, a major downside was the broken air conditioning, which made it very difficult to sleep at night. It’s a pity, because apart from that, the stay would have been really pleasant.

Exceptional staff, a wonderfully quiet and relaxing location, and abundant greenery that makes the whole place feel like a hidden oasis. Highly recommended.

Our bungalow was clean, tidy and comfortable with everything we needed. The greenery and surrounds made you feel you were in a tropical paradise. The staff were very transparent in letting us know prior to check-in that there was construction happening in the buildings adjacent to the property between 8am and 5pm. Despite this, we barely heard any construction noises our entire stay. They layout of the property made us feel like we were the only people there, and it was very peaceful and relaxing. Staff were very kind and attentive to our needs. There was always someone on site to help 24/7. Excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The blankets were a little thin which meant it could be a bit cold at night with the air-conditioning. The outdoor seating area was beautiful, but the chairs would be more comfortable with some cushions.

Really like the whole terrain. The garden, the big pool (nice warm water), the bungalows. Very good WiFi. I stayed here for one week, to work remotely, and loved it here.

There are not so many warungs close by. You have to walk 5min, which is fine.

They gave me a small room upgrade, probably because no one warned me in advance that there’s major construction going on right in front of the hotel. Guests should definitely be informed about that beforehand! The room itself wasn’t bad, but the constant noise from the construction and you can hear all your neighbors too — and while walking around, I even got splashed with cement. Never had that kind of experience before! 😅 I also asked for a late check-out, but they refused…
