Prachtig uitzicht en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Marcel helpt je overal mee van boekingen tot vervoer. Helaas werden wij bij de trappen afgezet en dat was toch nog wel een behoorlijke uitdaging met zware koffer. Niet alle taxi chauffeurs kennen de goede route zodat je bij de achterkant van hotel aankomt. Daarom Marcel gewoon boeken als taxi. Haalt je met alle plezier op.

I only stayed one night as I’d arrived from the airport and was catching the fast boat the next morning. The room was lovely; tastefully decorated, comfortable bed and a view of the harbour through the trees. The owner was friendly and helpful in ordering me a taxi to the harbour and the staff were nice too.

Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist perfekt um den Sonnenaufgang und die Bucht zu sehen. Marcel und jeder, der dirt arbeitet ist wirklich herzlich und der Garten mit all den Schildkröten ist wirklich toll. Ohne Gepäck kommt man zu Fuß über relativ viele Stufen problemlos ins Zentrum, zb zum sehr guten Aura Spa. Oder an einen kleinen aber schönen Strand. Die Sonnenschirme dort schützen teilweise nicht ausreichend vor Sonnenbrand, aber das ist natürlich unabhängig von der Unterkunft.

Man kommt mit Auto/Scooter nicht von Padang Bai dort hin, nur über die Gg Abian Kepah einige Kilometer vorher, Navigations Apps wissen das nicht, im Zweifelsfall Marcel anrufen und nicht die Treppe mit Gepäck nehmen. Das Mückennetz und die Klimaanlage bräuchten etwas Wartung.

Pulizia scarsa, zanzare e altri insetti nel letto, camera troppo piccola e bagno all’aperto Abbiamo avuto problemi col WC e ci hanno dato un secchio e uno stura lavandino per ripararlo da soli

The balcony views were excellent , there was a lot of harmony. Marcel and Manouria were extremely kind. The room was truly decorated as a balines style. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was super yummy. Just 10 minutes walking to the centre and to the harbour.

Marcel est un super hôte , qui a été très arrangeant et qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer les coutumes locales . Très intéressant ! De plus il nous a conseillé une jolie plage et un super resto à proximité. La chambre est sommaire mais parfaite pour une nuit ou deux et pour le prix c’est imbattable. La vue est superbe depuis la chambre . Le petit déjeuner était top ! A 15 min à pied des départs pour les Gili .

Struttura super accogliente con bellissimo giardino e vista sulla baia. Colazione ottima e varia, titolari molto amichevoli e gentili: è stato molto piacevole soggiornare qui anche se per una sola notte dopo il lungo volo dall’Italia.

We didn't get to stay , but we will be back , absolutely stunning place and the ibu who greeted us was so kind and lovely, offering a cold water after a long bike ride. The view and homely feel is incredible. Cant wait to return

Very lovely family running this villa. Very beautiful place to stay at in a very beautiful town.

Nothing - should be aware there are stairs to get to the villa from town so wouldn’t be ideal to arrive with a suitcase. However, the owner can pick you up from the harbour for a small fee!

Meget hyggeligt og roligt sted med en rolig og hjemlig atmosfære. Man følte sig velkommen og der var rart at være. Nemt at komme til byen via trapper fra stedet.

La rencontre avec Marcel et Maddie fait partie de celle que l’on n’oublie pas. Discussions passionnantes avec Marcel sur la culture balinaise. Le repas préparé par Maddie était délicieux. Le lieu et la vue sont également un vrai plaisir. La prochaine fois j’y resterai plus longtemps !

Mi è piaciuto tutto! L’unica pecca è quella di essermi fermata solo una notte e non aver potuto godere della tranquillità e della vista mozzafiato per più tempo. La struttura è molto particolare,in un punto panoramico che gode di una vista mozzafiato,la nostra camera aveva una grande vetrata da dove godersi l’alba quando ancora si è a letto. La colazione ottima e i proprietari super gentili e disponibili,ci hanno preparato la colazione prima per poter poi andare in tempo al porto. La nostra camera pulita e confortevole,così come il giardino davanti molto curato

Excellent accueil de Marcel et Made. La chambre est grande avec une superbe vue. La piscine agréable. Le staff aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner parfait. Nous avons participé à la philosophie Balinaise proposé par Marcel et nous avons appris plein de choses très intéressantes. Le dîner préparé par Made est top 😋 Nous recommandons ++👌🙏 merci pour les échanges. N'hésitez pas à demander pour les transferts sur les îles.

L’accueil par le maître des lieux est formidable. Comme nous arrivions tard le soir, il est venu nous chercher pour faciliter notre arrivée.

Beaucoup d'escaliers pour accéder à l'hôtel par des rues escarpées , ce qui ne convient pas à des familles avec de jeunes enfants ou personnes à mobilité réduite. Les chambres sont un peu petites.

Wunderschöne Lage mit tollem Ausblick! Sehr nette Vermieter mit Herz, 2 Hunden und Schildkröten. Leckeres Abendessen vor Ort buchbar. Frühstück war auch sehr lecker.

Sjovt hotel nærmest på bjergsiden med en fantastisk udsigt over bugten. Ejerene har flere skildpadder og omgivelserne er hyggelige.

Det er næsten umuligt at komme til til hotellet både med bil (fra bagsiden af hotellet) og fra hovedgaden, hvor der er ca. 300 trapper op. Heldigvis havde vi rygsække med😊

The best view in Padangbai! Loved the stay here and the breakfast was perfect. Room was really comfortable and clean We loved all the turtles they have! Also the restaurant recommendation they gave us was really nice.

The walk to the center with supermarkets, boats and restaurants is a bit sketchy and requires a lot of stairs. It’s not the worst but also requires a bit of preparation and it’s not suitable if you have problems walking. Also the road with the taxi to the accommodation was not a clear road. The host was really friendly and contacted our driver on the day we arrived.

The most incredible view with pretty gardens. Delicious breakfast, a real personal feel to staying here with the owners helping with ferry bookings, taxis, restaurant recommendations etc.

Not the property’s fault, but there were quite a lot of mosquitoes and make sure you’re happy walking up stairs as there are quite a lot to climb from the town. We found that quite fun but it’s not for everyone’s

Wow, what an oasis. Garden of Eden with stunning views of Padang Bai town and bay. Loved the steps into town, superb breakfast, lovely lovely hosts, stunning place, pool a tonic, comfy spacious rooms with a view of bay. Serene will absolutely 100% stay again if have opportunity and for longer next time.

Marcel og hans kone har det smukkeste sted og meget søde og gæstfrie. En skøn pool til et hurtigt dyp. Udsigten over bugten er utrolig smuk.

Der var konstant støj fra havnen og skibshorn og end ikke med ørepropper fik vi ret meget søvn. Ikke stedets skyld, men det er en faktor (især når man rejser med børn)

This villa offers great value for money and has a lot of character. If you're looking for a place with a more authentic feel rather than a modern hotel, this is a great choice. The views are beautiful, and there are several areas around the property where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. It's also within a 10-minute walk of two beautiful beaches, which makes the location even better. My room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with a good-sized wardrobe, a balcony, a safe, and air conditioning—everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. They were always available to answer questions, and they even helped me organize transportation for a day trip to Ubud, which I really appreciated. Before arriving, I had read that access to the villa could be a bit challenging. I contacted Marcel beforehand, and he arranged to pick me up from the ferry, which made everything very easy. Personally, I didn't mind the stairs during my short stay. The view is absolutely worth it, and I think the unique atmosphere of the villa more than makes up for the extra effort. Breakfast was delicious, with a few options to choose from each morning.

The only downside was that the property could use a little more maintenance. For example, the mosquito net in my room had several holes. That said, the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful staff more than made up for it. Considering the price, I think it's great value for a short stay.

Even though we only stayed one night before taking the speedboat to Gili Air, we were very glad we chose this place. The views are amazing — you get to see the town from above and appreciate it in a completely different way. When we went down into town, we found it a little chaotic and not necessarily the prettiest area, so coming back to Villa Manouria felt like returning to a peaceful little oasis. The morning light coming into the property was especially beautiful, and the whole setting felt very calm and special. The owner and staff were very kind and welcoming. The room was also really comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom was very nice too. Overall, it was a lovely and relaxing place to stay, even just for one night.

There was nothing we really disliked. The only thing to keep in mind is that the road to get there by car is a little tricky, but if you arrive by taxi, it should be fine. From the property, you can walk down into town, but the way down is through stairs, so it is good to be aware of that if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns.

Accueil incroyable par Marcel et Made ! Bien que n'ayant eu que très peu de temps sur place les conseils de Marcel m'ont permis de passer un très bon moment à Padangbai. La Villa est magnifique et la vue au petit matin tout aussi belle.

La vista è davvero bella.

La struttura di per sé è bella ma un po' decadente. Difficile da raggiungere a piedi se avete bagagli, il dislivello dal centro non è indifferente. Anche l'accesso in auto può risultare scomodo, anche se percorribile in auto.

Villa Manouria kan være lidt svært at finde, men når man først er der er det en sand perle. Den skønneste udsigt over Padangbai. En fantastisk frodig have med en skøn lille pool. Værelserne er enkle, men dejlige. Bad og toilet under åben himmel. Dejlig altan. Mulighed for at få hjemmelavet aftensmad og dejlig morgenmad. Mulighed for sightseeing i området, hvilket jeg benyttede mig af - en skøn tur. Man kan gå ned til Padangbai ad en trappe. En lidt hård tur, men fin. Tag en Taxi tilbage.

Trappen ned til byen, men jeg har lidt balanceproblemer.

Tout était parfait, de la localisation, la qualité de l’hébergement, la gentillesse de nos hôtes Marcel, sa femme et tout le personnel, le dîner excellent et les discussions, les petits déjeuners, et la vue incroyable autant le matin que le soir. Pas une fausse note, merci beaucoup!

The owners are such a cute couple and they help you with all your needs. Made is such a lovely and she cooks amazing Iocal indonesian food. You can learn lots of things from Marcel about Bali Hinduism and rituals. I will miss Made’s smile and her cookings a lot:)

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit dans cet hôtel et Marcel a fait en sorte de rendre notre séjour inoubliable. Tout a été prévu pour nous faciliter la vie, Marcel et sa femme sont très accueillant et chaleureux. L’endroit est aussi exceptionnel que sur les photos, avec une vue magnifique dès le réveil.

Il faut être à l’aise avec le fait qu’on soit au milieu de la nature donc on peut retrouver des grenouilles, geko, cafards etc dans la chambre La moustiquaire était en mauvais état

Super schöne familiengeführte Unterkunft. Wir haben uns DIREKT wohlgefühlt. Der Weg mit den Backpacks die Treppe hoch war schon hart, aber oben angekommen haben wir verstanden, dass es auch die Möglichkeit gibt mit dem Auto direkt vor die Tür gefahren zu werden. Das wissen nur die meisten Driver nicht und diesbezüglich war die Kommunikation auf Englisch nicht ganz flüssig vorab auf WhatsApp. Die kleinen Bungalows sind sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück und der Service sind spitze. Auf Wunsch und Anmeldung kann man auch ganz lecker zu Abend bekocht werden. Das ganze Grundstück und der Pool ist toll und man kann einfach nur relaxen mit einem tollen Ausblick!

Bungalows sehr hellhörig. Man bekommt viel mit in der Nacht aus Padang Bai. Da mussten wir uns eine Nacht lang dran gewöhnen. Auch mehrfacher Gesang aus Moschee und Tempel am früher Morgen zu hören.

La gentillesse de l’hôte Endroit sympa , un peu rustique

Je suis très sensible au bruit donc j’ai été un peu gêné par les alarmes des bateaux, les bruits d’animaux (crapaud/chiens), et alarmes de prières très fortes. Comme c’est rustique je pense, je revenais souvent dans ma chambre après une pause et je retrouvais des excréments d’insectes. Rien de bien méchant.

Mir hat der Aufenthalt in der Villa Manouria sehr gut gefallen, das Personal war super freundlich, das Frühstück sehr gut, die Anlage ist super gepflegt und schön grün und die Aussicht war atemberaubende!

Das einzige was ander Lage etwas stört ist, dass man einen doch etwas anstrengenderen Anstieg von PadangBai zurück zur Unterkunft hat aber dafür hat man eine sehr schöne Aussicht

la descente en ville ou plustot la remontee peut eter un peu difficile de nuit mais ca se fait /le bruit des klaxons de bateau ecourte la nuit .. chambre un peu exigu si long sejour mais pour 1 ou 2 nuits ca passe

We felt like home, the atmosphere is magic, and you can really enjoy the end of the day from the place staying at the table and speak with the owner, an amazing person!

La vue est incroyable et la guest houss est agréable avec la piscine, les différents espaces et les tortues. Parfait pour prendre le bateau pour aller sur les îles Gili mano/ air / T ou Lambok. La chambre est petite et simple mais parfaite pour y dormir avec la Clim et salle de bain attenante. La dame qui s’est occupé de nous a été d’une gentillesse incroyable et le petit déjeuné parfait! Merci à elle !

L’arrivée à la villa et les deux chiens présent sur place. Des explications plus que bancale : tournée à droite après le réparateur de vélo ! Sauf que le jour là, le magasin était fermée, il est 14h, les routes sont très fréquentés, il était très difficile de se rendre à la villa surtout quand on ne connaît pas du tout l’endroit. Après avoir tourner pendant plus de 20 minutes, il aurait été simplement judicieux de venir me chercher à un point précis. Les messages du type : Mais c’est pas compliqué ne sont pas vraiment adapté. D’autre part, il serait aussi préférable de prévenir qu’il y a deux chiens, pas du tout rassurant sur place. Le jour de mon arrivée, les propriétaires partaient bord de Bali. Nous nous sommes retrouver seul avec ces deux chiens qui n’ont pas arrêter d’aboyer. Si on était trop proche d’un des chiens sur le canapé il se m’était à grogner de façon très agressive. Le matin, je me suis levée pour admirer le lever de soleil ( qui est soit dit en passant INCROYABLE), mais celui ci a été gâché par les deux chiens qui se sont mis à me grogner dessus sans que je puisse m’avancer sur la Terasse. Énormément de bruits dû port juste en bas et attention, plus d’une centaine de marche pour descendre de la villa si vous n’avez pas de véhicule.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Facilities are amazing with a scenic swimming pool and great home cooked food. Bar consists of an honesty fridge where you sign out your own drinks. Scenery around the site is incredible with jungle views high above the town overlooking the port. Property has very interesting wildlife including turtles, koy fish and two friendly dogs.

Location isn’t easily accessible by road or by foot. The road does not appear in any maps as it is a very narrow, rough and steep back road which some cars might not be able to drive up. By foot there is a very long staircase up the hill from the town which can be difficult for some people with luggage. I would recommend getting the property’s own transport as explaining to other drivers the location is difficult

Le cadre est magnifique et surtout la vue. Les chambres étaient propres et le personnel agréable.

La douche ne fonctionnait pas bien. Le petit déjeuner était un peu léger Les indications pour accéder à l’établissement n’étaient pas bien claires.

Das essen bei den Lokals im Dorf ist sehr leker. es hat für jeden geschmack etwas... Der Ort ist sehr schön, Multikulti mitzuerleben war spannend nach sumbawa

Touristenbetrieb platzt leicht aus den Nähten. Fährbetrieb etwas früh, dafür verpasst du den Sonnenaufgang nicht

La vue est très belle, on surplombe la baie. Marcel et son équipe sont vraiment sympa et nous ont aidés à trouver un bon restaurant et un chauffeur sur Lombok. Guest house parfaite pour une nuit avant de prendre le bateau pour Lombok.

Der Blick vom winzigen Balkon war nicht schlecht.

Zugang mit dem KFZ fast unmöglich, wenn man nicht den aufgedrängten Fahrer nimmt. (In ca. 10 e-mails wurde versucht, mir einen Fahrer aus Padang Bai aufzuschwatzen.) Der Hotelbesitzer schrie meinen eigenen Fahrer laut zusammen als der telefonisch eine Frage zur Zuwegung stellte. Nach dem Abbiegen von der Hauptstr. 600m durch den Busch. Alternative: 65 Stufen von Padang Bai hochsteigen. Super, wenn man mit Gepäck reist! Das "geräumige" Apartment von 30m² stellte sich als Hütte mit max. 20m² raus. Der Zugang war eine instabile Sambatreppe. Beide Schränke ließen sich nicht öffnen. Kein Platz zum Abstellen des Koffers. Die Beleuchtung am Bett war ein Kabel (tw blank!) mit einer Birne, die aber nicht funktionierte. Das Insektennetz schloss nicht und hatte Löcher. Ich fragte den Besitzer, ob ich evtl. im falschen 'Zimmrr' sei? Sofort kam eine freche Antwort: "..wenn es Ihren Bedürfnissen nicht entspricht, könne ich ja canceln." Mein Einwand, die Zimmerbeschreibung sei eindeutig falsch zu Ungunsten der Gäste, beantwortete er nicht. Er schickte mir dann seinen Fahrer, der mir dann für 7 Minuten Fahrt 100 000,00 IDR abnahm, also das doppelte des ohnehin hohen Ortstarifs. Gojek o.ä. nicht zugelassen/gebannt! Als Vielreisende bin ich eigentlich geübt zwischen den Zeilen zu lesen, aber das hilft nicht, wenn eindeutig gelogen wird. Ich rate dringend von einer Buchung ab!
