The laundry service is too complicated and too expensive. You have to pay by item and fill a paper it takes forever and prices are too high.

Tolle Lage in der Altstadt. Sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit gutem Bad. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und der Service des gesamten Personals war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Leider waren wir am Ende des Urlaubs sonst hätten wir hier gerne noch verlängert.

A friendly, welcoming and well-located guest house. Great place to stay to visit Galle.

It was super comfortable, really good value for money. The room was huge, beds were comfy, lovely hot shower, small fridge and kettle provided. The breakfast was lovely too - fruit, juice, toast, each day and either chicken sausage and eggs or curries with rice depending on the day, we really enjoyed those. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Het personeel is zo lief! De kamer is brandschoon. Het zwembad was mooi en schoon. Het eten was iets minder. Maar alles bij elkaar maakte ons dat niet zo uit. De safari via hun geboekt en was echt top. Hoefde hierdoor niet in de lange rij auto’s bij Yala. Hebben een luipaard gezien!

We had a real crush on this place. Completely in a little cocoon of paradise, with the very curious monkeys who come to meet you. The staff and the manager are adorable and take great care of you. We’ll be back, for sure, and we’ll share this address with our contacts who want to visit Galle

Ein wunderschön gelegenes guesthouse mit Blick aufs Fort/ Meer. Super freundlich, tolles Essen ( kann man auf der Dachterasse einnehmen ) Leckeres Frühstück! Tolles Bett und tolles Bad Wir haben eine Nacht verlängert😇 Sehr freundlicher Host ( spricht gut Deutsch)

Gute Lage direkt am Fort

Wir hatten keinen guten Schlaf, man hört die ganze Nacht sehr laut die Klimaanlage der Schule nebenan, das trotz Ohropax. Geruch im Zimmer, kein Laken über der Bettdecke, insgesamt wenig vergnüglich

La localisation de l’hôtel dans la nature, le grand jardin, le calme, la piscine, le confort des chambres, les dîners délicieux concoctés par le fils du propriétaire. Tout était parfait. J’ai prolongé deux fois mon séjour.

La camera nella quale ho soggiornato è stata rifatta da poco, così come il bagno moderno e ben funzionante. Bella la vista dalla terrazza L’host e lo staff gentili e sorridenti. Posizione ottima

Non un grosso problema ma da menzionare che la porta esterna chiude alle 22:00 e riapre alla mattina alle 7:00, e gli ospiti non hanno le chiavi. Sono comunque disponibili in caso di partenza anteriore all’orario di apertura (come nel mio caso). L’acqua costa 200 LKR

It was our second time in this property. It had an excellent rooftop from where u could enjoy the ocean if u wished to avoid the extreme sun exposure of galle fort. The room was so big and the washroom was neat and clean. All the amenities were perfect.

They had a common space area from where u can enjoy the breeze coming from the ocean but they close it in the evening. I didn’t experience such covered space in any places! It's like a grave house at night. No space for air passing! Really suffocating.

Great location in the fort, comfortable room and especially nice bathroom for the price.

The school was so loud in the morning, from 6:45am they were blasting music. They told us it was loud but I think they undersold it. Also we wanted to leave our bags there for a few hours post checkout but the staff were quite unhelpful and didn't let us keep them in a back room or storage, so we had to leave them out in the open in the lobby.

Amazing location and nice roof terrace. The bed was comfortable too. Good value.

The room was a bit dark

The lady on counter was not soo friendly. the price for meals are soo high . the bedsheets was not white . they don’t have the place for smoking.

This is a modest guesthouse but the staff, location and food make it unforgettable. We had 4 nights there and ate there twice. The dinners were beautiful. One of my Sri Lankan highlights has been sitting on the roof or the other out door space sipping a cocktail and watching the community at play in the huge park opposite - and the sunsets!. The staff are overwhelmingly helpful and kind. It is within the fort and only 100 metres near a swimming beach.

For the price you pay, nothing.

Excellent location inside Galle Fort, just a couple of minutes walk from many attractions and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely roof top bar as well. Room was lovely, very spacious and all facilities were very good.

Clean, modern room in a great location, pictures don’t do the rooms justice. Roof top bar was great for sunset drinks. Warm, powerful shower.

Tolle Lage, an sich eine sehr süße Unterkunft mit toller Dachterasse.

Badtür hat sich nicht schließen lassen, Tür war verzogen. Die Schule war sehr laut (zwischen 7-8 Uhr morgens). Klimaanlage hat Faxen gemacht.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean comfortable large room with good aircon. Great food. Excellent location.

Seagreen Guesthouse was in an excellent position in Galle overlooking the Fort. It was quiet at night - there is a school next door so mornings were a bit noisy but it didn't bother us! Earplugs were available! Roof top bar a bonus to watch the sun set. Staff were friendly.

Loved this hotel. The staff were very helpful and the location was superb. Loved being next to the large girls school because their singing in the mornings was beautiful. The hotel has a rooftop bar which was a brilliant place to watch the sunset or just chill. A great find.

The WiFi in our bedroom was poor but in the common areas it was fine.

Absolutely lovely guesthouse with a view from the rooftop bar that is simply stunning. We loved it and will be back for sure.

L’emplacement de cet hôtel est idéal pour visiter Galle. Nous avons été très bien accueilli par le personnel. La chambre est spacieuse et confortable, la salle de bain également.

Il y avait une forte odeur d’égouts dans la salle fr bain, nous avons alerté l’accueil qui a nous a ramené un désodorisant. Pour le lit, ce serait plus confortable d’avoir un drap plutôt que juste une couette sans housse.

Het water was er plots af. Duurde lang voordat dit verholpen was. We moesten erg lang wachten op het ontbijt.

The young lady at the reception was missing customer service skills (would be rolling her eyes or acting bothered when I asked her 1) to replace the not working kettle adapter or 2) asked if they have single service coffee bag, which they did not have strangely). The school next door is super loud super early, no soundproofing in the hotel (but if you start day early: like 6in the morning then it’s not a problem :))

Beautifully located guesthouse close to the fort walls. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were lovely and kind, they gave us some herbal medicinal tea as we were a bit sick during our stay. The building is airy and bright, the room was very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

This was our first stay in Sri Lanka, straight from airport, very friendly staff, good English, lovely room , comfy bed, good bathroom. Roof bar . Great location for town . Good value.

Fabulous location, very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here (4 March 26), sunset cocktails at the roof top bar, bar snacks (garlic prawn toast!) also ended up having dinner here (grilled prawns, garlic butter, salad and wedges) breakfast AND lunch the next day. Yes, the food is great here and well priced. Staff are very helpful and friendly, the barman is fantastic and he makes a mean drink!

6.30am wake-up (very loud music from the school next door) was okay for us as we are still running on a different time zone!

Our party of three adults had rooms 1 and 2. Both rooms were clean with good temperature control. The very limited storage was a non-issue for our one-night stay. Bathroom was functional with a decent hot shower. The staff were very smiley. The roof-top bar is simple but a real plus, looking west over the ramparts with locals gathering on the grass to watch the sun go down. The hotel was more than adequate for our short stay.

The roof-top bar is very good but could be so much better. There is a service charge for drinks even though the service wasn't that attentive or proactive - we had to go back to the counter with empty glasses for every round even when the bar was quiet. The drinks go on a separate bill and have to paid for separately to the room bill which seemed a bit odd. The bar is great for sunset drinks around 6-6.30pm but completely shuts down at 9pm. All the seats and cushions are taken in so there's nowhere for guests to sit out in the evening - unless you use the single table outside room 1 and risk annoying the guests in room 1. Perhaps the early bar closure is to be a good neighbour noise-wise but we were disappointed to return from dinner in town on a balmy evening on our last night in Sri Lanka to find the lights out and no prospect of a night cap. Breakfast was very average. A service charge did not apply but at LKR2400 for fruit and LKR2500 for eggs it wasn't worth it imo. It had to be ordered the night before - again this seemed odd given the simplicity of the menu. The (white bread) toast didn't have the merest colouring to suggest it had ever gone near a grill or toaster, and it was served with some sort of luminous jelly rather than jam or marmalade. When I fed this back I just got a shrug of the shoulders. We were leaving at 0815 but were encouraged to pay the afternoon before, or at the latest that evening. We were initially told this is because the reception cashier staff work 0900-2100 but they were still there at 2200 and at 0700 when we went down to breakfast. The guest house would probably have got more business from us had they not continually asked us for early payment.

Lovely guesthouse in the heart of Galle Fort and walking distance to everything. The rooms are large, airy and very comfortable. There’s a beautiful rooftop bar where you can watch the sunset over the ramparts, plus another communal space on the first floor to sit and unwind. Breakfast isn’t included, but it’s abundant and delicious and well worth ordering. The hosts are warm and welcoming, making it a really easy and enjoyable place to stay.

The room was above the restaurant’s kitchen and dish washing area which caused a lot of noise as the bed was under the window and the clanking of the dishes and cutlery disturbed our sleep. We reached the guesthouse at 1pm and we had a long journey instead of accommodating us right away they made us wait an hour as the according to them the check in time was 2pm. Usually the check out time is 12pm in all most all hotels, theirs were 10pm.

I didn’t like that their sheets weren’t white and neither were their towels. Which makes me think if they have any stains or the sheets/towels were dirty. We didn’t use the towels.

Great location with roof top bar for view over the ramparts of the sunset. Very quiet. Very good food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff.

Wow- best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka. Great location in the stunning fort. Fabulous rooftop bar. Room was very comfortable and modern- slept well. Bathroom was good, lots of hot water and the a/c - great. Staff were very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast. Would highly recommend and we would love to stay here again. We regret not eating food at the rooftop bar after our sunset drinks!

Very good location in the Old Fort. Roof terrace was a lovely place for a drink and to unwind and meet other travellers. Huge and comfortable bed. Good value for Galle. If it hadn't been for the problems (below), which may be completely untypical, we would have been very happy with this booking. However ...

On the first night, the night staff and other locals were walking through the corridors talking loudly. Then they began playing music in the downstairs restaurant. Things did quieten down after my husband went and asked them to be quiet (possibly not that politely, it was 1.30am) but our sleep was limited. We didn't want to get the member of staff into trouble so we said nothing next morning which was probably our mistake. On the second evening there was a downpour and when we returned to our room it smelt very badly of sewage. There was a prompt attempt to address this which was partially successful. But at least we thought we'd get a night's sleep before a 6am start ... only to be kept awake by a very distressed dog which had presumably been left alone downstairs in the building who yelped and howled until I assume the nightwatchman returned in the early hours. Again, very little sleep.

Modern, clean and decorated well - very much liked the waxed plaster walls. Reception staff very helpful. Roof bar great.

Laundry chaotic - they lost one t-shirt for a day and ruined another. Breakfast poor and expensive. Hot water shower not available on day of arrival. Night staff thoughtless when locking up as slammed doors and chatted loudly. Woken up each weekday at 6:30am by adjacent school who play hit parade VERY loudly 😳 on their public address system 😂Only hotel to automatically add a service charge.

Il personale gentilissimo, la struttura era molto carina. La camera aveva tutto il necessario e pulizia ottima. La colazione ci è piaciuta molto, abbondante con varie possibilità di scelta.

Unica pecca per il giorno in cui abbiamo soggiornato noi non abbiamo potuto fare la doccia in quanto non vi era acqua calda.

La posizione era perfetta, al centro di Galle fort, permettendoci di raggiungere ogni posto da visitare di Galle facilmente. La camera era pulita e gli albergatori erano simpaticissimi, accoglienti e premurosi. Abbiamo chiesto di dividere una colazione singola in due persone, in quanto tanto abbondanti, e ci sono venuti incontro. Raccomandato!

We couldn't believe our luck booking this hotel. After a month of travelling it felt like luxury but incredibly reasonably priced. The rooms are spacious and modern but with beautiful antique touches. Super comfortable large bed, and bathroom comes with lovely shampoo, conditioner and bodywash, a first on my travels. Rooftop bar for watching the sunset and overlooks a park where locals fly kites and play cricket, very entertaining. I cannot recommend this place more highly, my favorite in all my travels and I hope u can return. Thank you so much!!!

Very friendly staff, good clean room and value for money. The location inside the fort overlooking a green and the ocean is excellent. Sitting in the roof top area watching mostly children fly their kites before dusk was almost magical. Nice breeze in the afternoon on this side a Galle which makes for comfort. Good breakfast and dinner options. Plenty of good eating options close by. In house tuk tuk and driver hire options
