Each room opens onto a long veranda on the front of the house. Our room, towards the end, was clean and welcoming. We were there for one night, as a "rest" between longer travels, and it hit the spot.

Location was very easy and they were always willing to assist as I needed taxi to my Conference venue and they organized for me.

I absolutely loved staying here! My husband and I had the best sleep we’ve had in a long while. The beds are amazing and the rooms are designed to block out light if you prefer that. The host was a gem and the tranquil garden made us feel at peace. Definitely recommend it over and over again!

Beautiful decor, friendly welcome, lovely garden and good 'coffee nook' facilities. The accommodation is well situated for walking up to Main Street.

The room is a little dark, but this did not detract from its elegance.

Wunderschönes, im Kolonialstil erhaltenes kleines, privat geführtes Boutiquehotel. Mit Liebe dekoriert, auch der Garten mit kleinen Pool ist fantastisch. Sehr netter Gastgeber.

We booked on short notice, but was imnediately welcomed. We were taken through the suite and ensured all was in good order. Absolutely excellent.

The place was super cute, the room was very comfortable and our hosts, Christelle and her husband were just so amazing. We were there for a wedding and my dress needed to be steamed. Christelle went out of her way to organise a steamer for me! She was very kind and always ready to help. The room was very spacious and loved the chocolates on our pillows. The place is very close to restaurants but far enough so you don’t hear the noise. Definitely booking again when I’m in Paarl again! If you’re thinking of booking… don’t hesitate!

Beautiful room with all conveniences looking over a peaceful green oasis of a garden, together with a charming, informative and friendly host … needless to say, a lovely time spent at Africa Pearl.

Christelle and Johan made us very welcome again, our second time here so felt quite at home. The suite has all the comforts you need and the bed is made up and kitchen/bathroom cleaned daily. Would not hesitate to book again. Easy walking distance to many restaurants.

The host was very kind and went above and beyond for us. The room was spacious and really lovely!

Afrika Pearl is a gem of a place and very authentic. It was very comfortable and beautifully furnished- we could not have asked for more. Christa, the host was very friendly and helpful and if we come back to Paarl we will definitely stay again. Lorraine from the UK

Very nice place to stay, would be perfect for a long stay. Very friendly and welcoming hosts with nice recommendations for restaurants and wine farms. The pool was open for a morning dop. Thanks a lot again Christelle, hope to visit soon again.👍

Sehr nette Gastgeber und das Zimmer mit eigenem Garten war sehr stilvoll, mit allem was man benötigt eingerichtet. Bett sehr bequem und Dusche perfekt. 100% Weiterempfehlung!

Das Apartment ist sehr geschmackvoll und perfekt eingerichtet. Der Gartenbereich mit Blumen und Orangenbaum lädt zum Entspannen ein. Die Gastgeberin ist freundlich und zuvorkommend und in allen Belangen ansprechbar.

Afrika-Pearl is the best place to stay in Paarl! Beautiful, comfortable and clean rooms. Tranquil garden with a small pool for those hot Paarl days! So much attention to detail. Thank you Christelle for your friendliness and kindness. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend the accommodation to anyone.

The property was easy to find, the room was cute and very aesthetically pleasing. The amenities were great and needed, my mother and I enjoyed our little stay, the host gave us a warm welcome and made sure we are comfortable. I will definitely return for a longer stay.

The location of this accommodation was perfect - right in the middle of the town of Paarl, close to all amenities, restaurants, etc. The room provided was very comfortable, clean, and small amenities such as toiletry kits were provided which was a really amazing touch that I was not expecting. My favourite amenity was the makeup remover face cloth that was provided - I was attending a wedding during my stage and this little cloth was so useful after the event for cleaning my face. Saved the white bath towels!! The little snacks and juice boxes were also such a special touch.

There is nothing that would stop me from staying here again or from recommending this place to other people. It was near perfect.

The hospitality of the host, Christelle, was wonderful. She was very attentive and helpful to provide us with sites to see and ensuring that we were always comfortable. We stayed for 10 days in the self-catering unit which is beautifully appointed and includes a landscaped private garden. The unit was clean, quiet, had a very comfortable bed and pillows with excellent linens. The unit came with private, secured on-site parking for our rental car. We recommend this accommodation to others and we hope to also return again someday.

We did not have breakfast there, but the location was very central and easy to reach. We had secure parking as well.

We were very happy with everything exactly as it was. Our accommodation was super-comfortable, immaculately clean, and we appreciated the little touches like personal care kits, lights turned on at night while we were out, and the tea/coffee station was well-stocked.

The host, Christelle. What a kind person. As a solo traveller she made me feel so comfortable, assisting me with my bags, and everything else I needed. The property itself is located in a peaceful area which is not too far from shops and restaurants. The property is clean, has everything you need for a short stay and the hosts also have these cute additions liked sealed tooth brushes/ shaving kit in case you forgot yours. I would definitely recommend Afrika Pearl

Beautifully set up with a lovely peaceful garden and I really loved all the couches along the verandah where you can relax and read a book with a nice cuppa

Everything was great. A small thing - it would be a nice touch to have a net/lace curtain to pull over the glass doors to the room so that you could have some natural light in the room but still have some privacy.

Stunning room with everything you could wish for. Great location just off the Main Street with lots of bars and restaurants but you return to a peaceful oasis of calm and tranquility! And only 30 minutes drive from Stellenbosch or Franschhoek.

There was nothing not to like

It’s a beautiful, old fashioned property that’s immaculate. The rooms are spacious and beautiful appointed. The hosts could not be nicer and I loved my stay there.

This Guest House is amazing! The decor is beautiful, attention to detail. The special treats that Christelle puts in your room, Christelle makes sure that you have everything you need. Bed was very comfy with beautiful linens. Shower pressure thumbs up. We enjoyed the plunge pool after a hard day of wine tastings! Also sitting on the veranda early in the morning with coffee or in the evening with a glass of wine. The tranquility of being in the garden was great. The hosts made us feel at home and we truly enjoyed ourselves. We shall be back!
