Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Driving into Hjelle through the lakeside tunnel was magical. This repurposed schoolhouse was a fantastic place to experience old-world Norwegian living. Loved the nook beds and touches of history. The modern bath and kitchen were integrated well. The property manager was kind and helpful - he let us know when the early snowfall unexpectedly closed down the mountain pass. Was a great site to just relax and enjoy!

Si potrebbe lasciare in cucina almeno l'indispensabile per un caffè al mattino anche perché il prezzo pagato non è indifferente.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2025Tolles altes Schulgebäuse, welches liebevoll und gemütlich hergerichtet wurde. Sehr nette Vermieter! Ruhige Lage. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Man durfte Kajaks/SUP/Ruderboote benutzen, was unseren Kindern sehr gefallen hat. Würden eir sofort nochmal buchen!

Reviewed Aug 23, 2024This house was surprisingly nicer than I thought it would be. It was in a very quiet neighborhood and the view outside is spectacular! The host welcome us in person and introduced the facility. It has everything we need. A morning hike with rainbow made us the day.

Reviewed Aug 1, 2024Location is fantastic with free use of kayaks, SUP and rowing boat on a first come, first served basis. House is well equipped and looks like the photos. Owners were very responsive.
Would be nice to have some comfortable seating outside - currently just a picnic bench. Be aware that bathroom is downstairs and two of the bedrooms are upstairs with low doorways.

The owner family is very caring and friendly. Inside the house everything is perfect for us. We have had the best stay in the place during our Norway driving holiday.
