Very remote and quiet. Great view over the ocean. Friendly owner and staff.
The stony dirt track to the resort can be a struggle to navigate.
Staff are amazing,, location hard to reach but well worth the effort. Small pool is good to cool off in. Views are great and the garden setting is very relaxing.
Had a power out so had to try and sleep without the man but I survived. They have a generator but being close to my room the noise was too much. When the power resumed all was good. I'm not a pet lover so the 5 family dogs sniffing round you in the restaurant is not for me.
Prekrasne misto s vyhledem na more, pohodlne, ciste a prostorne ubytovani, skvely bazen a velmi mily, pratelsky personal. Plno roztomilych a pratelskych pejsku, ktere si nase dety velmi oblibily. Skvela restaurace s vybornou kuchyni. Naprosto skvele ubytovani, ktere vsem jen a jen doporucuji!

Friendly staff, okay clean swimmingpool the first day, not so clean they other days, view
Wifi on and off, not working sometimes, that needs to be better
Lovely setting with beautiful Lea and staff looking after your comfort and needs. Gardens, seaview and pool are fantastic. Food is great too.
Nothing except the night time bees attracted to lights but they stay to themselves…. Normally 🤪

Es ist ein wunderschöner Ort . Ein kleines Paradies
Grandview Cottages Resort is my refuge. It is where I go to get away from it all. The cottages are crafted by an Artisan who mixes contemporary amenities with traditional architecture. Skill recognizes skill Grandview Cottages Resort is not just a resort.. its a place where diversity is celebrated and where one's values can be shared. The sense of paradise is tangible and I will forever treature my time there. I look forward to future visits ad my reward to myself when I succeed in this life. I encourage you all to visit Grandview Cottages Resort and to enjoy a slice of heaven on earth. Sincerely, Shawn Collier - Canadian
Excellent! Accommodation is fine! Basic but clean today and well looked after. Great views and pool . Staff an downer are charming and happy! Amazing food freshly cooked right in front of you. If you want peace and tranquility away from the outside world then go here for a few days.
Nothing ! WiFi could've a bit better
An oasis of calm - perfect antidote to the modern world. Beautiful garden and metres away from a deserted beach. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The menagerie of friendly cats and dogs was a huge bonus for me. Can’t wait to return 😀
Friendly and fast service. Very relaxed atmosphere with a particularly good view across the sea to Apo Island. Large beds and a refrigerator in the house. Large parking area.
Dog barking.
I’ve been traveling to the Philippines for a couple of times now. This is for sure one of my favorite places so far! Cheap, peaceful, amazing views, and the staff/owners are so friendly and kind. It’s also a place for animal lovers, dogs, cats, chickens. Highly recommended! Iggy and Aiza
A little haven in the south of Negros with a wonderful and kind team.
Perfect spot to retreat from daily city life, they have everything you need and the beach is a 5 min walking distance, the view from the pool is magnificent, I recommend 100% . Best regards Ilie V.
We zaten in de Villa. Uitzicht fenomenaal. Middenin de natuur. Medewerkers en eigenaren erg vriendelijk. Eten voortreffelijk.
Loved this place so relaxing. Team is so friendly
What we liked most about the hotel we stayed at was the customer service. The staff and the owner were very kind and approachable. I also want to give a special mention to their dogs, especially Chocolate. He would watch over us and even acted like our tour guide whenever we went to the beach. Every time my family and I went out, he would always come with us. There was even a time when another dog chased us, but Chocolate walked ahead and chased that dog away. He was really good, well-trained, and very likable—felt like we wanted to take him home, haha. He wouldn’t even leave the beach unless all our family members were done and ready to go. Thank you, Chocolate 🫶. Also, they have a mango tree, and they gave us some when we asked. The place is also very relaxing. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful spot, this is perfect. The wind and the view are really nice. Just a heads-up though—the food prices might surprise you, so it’s best to ask for the menu first. We brought a gas stove and some food with us, and we just paid an extra 200 pesos. We also paid 200 pesos for bringing our dog. They have only one pool, and it’s under the sun, but it’s great for night or afternoon swimming since the view is beautiful. As for the beach, you need to walk a bit to get there, and it’s a bit tiring going back up because it feels like a trail—but still worth it. It’s just a bit exhausting, haha. Lastly, the road going into the place has big rocks. They did mention that small cars or sedans might have trouble getting in because the rocks are sticking out. We went there on June 14, 2025. That’s all! Overall, our stay was really good. Thank you again! God bless! 😸
Nothing in particular but it's far from the highway. 😊
The view is overlooking the beach, Refreshing, relaxing, staffs are friendly and helpful, the owner is really hospitable. The beach is nearby you need to walk tho but take it as exercise, they have very behave and healthy pets around. The food is delicious, i would gladly recommend the place!!
The road to the location is a bit rocky and part is muddy, but the owner assured that it will be fix sooner, we went there during rainy days but on sunny days for sure it’s not an issue.
Very quiet by week day, more noisy on weekends by daytime.
Food was nice before but not anymore and quite expensive with extra charge for service Disappointed about food for every order
The location and the architectural designs of their cottages. The spot of the pool was perfect too and it has an access to the beach. And the smiling and friendly staffs, the corkage fee was cheaper as well.
The broken tiles in the swimming pool. I got a cut below my knee.
The place is clean and the view is amazing.
Non aircon.
It's a beautiful facility with a spectacular view. A bit more open, outdoorsy than I was anticipating, but very nice, nonetheless. The staff was very nice and helpful.
It was a bit far from the dive area I was diving at, my fault, but still doable. They had a moped there that could be rented, which did work after they fixed it the first day.
Seeing animals roam freely. Enjoyed the pool and the beach.
Needs shade over the pool area. Umbrellas would do the job.
Great place for unwinding! Offers great scenery, plus the staff and the owner are really accommodating and friendly. 😊
Great staff; super helpful
The place is great with a super view. Staff is very nice and food is good.
Nothing
The view and the customer service by the staff and owner Lea.👌🏻👌🏻
The Grandview is set in a wonderful location with great views from it's elevated position. The owners Brian & Lea have created a lovely garden setting over a number of years. Our lodge had a massive main room and whilst a little tired was very comfortable. The pool makes the most of the stunning views. One highlight of our stay was the fabulous food (extensive menu), cooked to order from such a small kitchen, it was delicious. The staff were excellent, so friendly. It's an easy walk down to the beach, but it's not one to lie about on or swim... much better relaxing by the pool. They kindly organised a car to take us to the port on departure, with a friendly local driver. There are some very friendly dogs on site who follow you around. Overall it is great value for money and we have an enjoyable stay.
The plastic chairs by the viewing platform were well past their useful life with broken backs, as was one of the wooden sun loungers. In need of some tlc...
Grandview resort is a exceptional, the rooms are comfortable and great value, the location is so peaceful, the garden is beautiful and the views are outstanding. The owners Lea and Brian are kind and helpful and the staff sweet and friendly and smiling. We really appreciate our stay in such an idyllic spot and wish it had have been for longer.
Stunningly beautiful location on a bluff, overlooking the coastline, Apo Island and a nature preserve at the southern tip of Negros Oriental. All you see is ocean, surf and jungle! We had a colorful and amazing little cottage that had amazing views, a really comfortable bed, small kitchen, nice CR, and all you could hear at night was the wind in the trees and the sounds of nature. The grounds are lovely, and there is a nice clean pool to swim in after your drive down. I'm really picky about where I stay and this place was amazing. Ask for the Lookout Cottage if you want the full experience. Breakfast and dinner were great, nothing fancy but high quality food. Great staff and had an engaging conversation with the Aussie owner. Top notch in every way!
The last 500m of the road in was a bit rough. We were on a motorbike and it was no problem.
Lea, Brian and the staff were great. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. There was a large menu at the in house restaurant. Water was also safe to drink out of the tap.
We stayed here around Christmas time for a ‘special get away’. The eco resort was beyond expectations. Such a beautiful paradise, far away from the hustle and bustle, chaos and noise. Its location is quite remote, but with the instructions of our hosts quite easy to get to. We loved the set-up of the resort. It has a beautiful big garden, pool, and the cutest cottages. We stayed in the one with the closest sea view, with a private bathroom underneath. The place had exactly what we were looking for: space to relax, do yoga, enjoy nature, and a focus on eco friendly tourism. Including the cutest animals and their owners living in harmony together:)
Peaceful, nice view
Rough road
View and staff are nice. Secluded and quiet. Nice nature ambience.
Bathroom is out dated. Holes on screen windows. Faucet water that's running is a bit broken. The shower is dripping slow, we have to go to pool shower room to shower.Toilet paper holder is broken and old, they just place the toilet paper on top of the broken handle. The toilet flush is slow and need to wait longer for water to fill again in the tank to be able to flush again. Add on basic toiletries would be nice, like paper towels or at least hand towels to wipe hands after washing. We have to go to the store to buy.
Halox2 ang longanisa not available...
Thank you Brian and Leah for hospitality and care during your visit. The compound has very friendly dogs who follow you and keep you safe where ever you walk and go. The food is good and you can get a tasty pizza with beverages of your choice if you want. The overlooking view is magnificent and calming. No noise or hassle - just nature around you. If you like peace and quietness - this is your choice 👌
We like the place especially the nature and the beach.people are nice and neat😊 we stayed up to 12nights and it's all worth it. The family host are very friendly and helpful 🙂
Pretty good location
No air conditioner
Friendliness, excellent service good value for money!
entrance road to property could be better
All good
It was a beautiful setting! Beautiful view! The grounds are well kept and spread out with a really nice swimming pool. Great staff, restaurant, and food! Got to chat with the owners before we left. Really nice people! Would definitely go again. The road in is a bit bumpy, but worth it once you get there. 😊👍
Only the road in was a bit bumpy, but worth it one you arrive.
The location
Nature and people
As the name suggests, great views with the resort situated on a hill with views down the coast and out to sea. Great value for money and Brian and his staff are friendly hosts. Take a dip in the swimming pool or a walk down to the seaside. Food and beverages very affordable and tasty.
Just a word of warning, if you don't like dogs, this may not be the property for you. The doggies are street rescue dogs and are friendly and approachable. We like dogs so no drama for us.
The view, the food and the staff were excellent
The road on the way there.
The location, staff, the view, the pool, all absolutely exceptional.
We liked everything!
The view is super nice, it’s like you’re in a different country, the owner is very kind and accommodating. The place is very relaxing and quiet, it feels like home.
None
The location is amazing with cliff top views to Apo Island. The hosts Brian and Lea are warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food at their restaurant was very tasty with fresh local ingredients. Our bungalow was perfect with an amazing view over the ocean, the beach is just a short walk away and Brian and Lea helped organise a day trip to Apo Island where we snorkelled with plenty of turtles. If you like getting back to nature and relaxing in a quiet peaceful environment with lovely people then this is the perfect place.
The food was VERY good. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The road to get there!! Beach dirty, can’t swim.
The staff are so hospitable and friendly. Also, the owner is nice!
I was afraid first of the pathway because its not yet fully developed but its okay.
lovely property, nice selection of vegetarian/vegan food for dinner and breakfast.
The property has a very nice vista, looking out toward Apo island and gets a nice breeze. The property is laid out nicely, with structures spaced out a bit. And I like that the owners are living on site and putting effort into growing some of their own food.
The things that we felt were underwhelming: - Cottages are right next to each other and have paper thin walls, so noisy neighbors are a problem - LOTS of ants in the rooms when we were there biting us in bed while we were sleeping. - Owners did not respond well to gentle feedback - Food was ok (I liked that they had some healthy options), but portions were quite small and prices pretty high for the value (we chose to go to a nearby resort with better food to eat our meals on the 2nd day) - When we arrived, the first thing we were told is that we need to pay a cash deposit of P1k which felt like the opposite of hospitality which we felt was off-putting and should have been in the pre-arrival email. There was also no feeling of being welcomed. - Getting water to drink in your room is pretty inconvenient. No staff to be found, no water dispensers available to customers, no water in the room, and no stores nearby (pretty basic need of guests) We would really recommend that the staff be trained a little more in making guests feel warmly welcomed upon arrival, email guests about the security deposit ahead of time, and be more receptive to feedback from guests rather than getting huffy and defensive when guests kindly share observations. Overall a decent place, but I worry about maintenance and customer experience mindset.
We really enjoyed our stay here, it has been one of the best stays in the Phillipines. Brian and Lea are lovely welcoming owners and hosts and so are the animals there. Brian even took us out on a kayaking tour. The staff is friendly and caring. The food has been remarkably good and we especially enjoyed the home-made pizza with fresh herbs from their garden and also the papaya ice cream was a big hit for us. The place breathes peace, has a stunning view and is well taken care of. If you're looking for a relaxing time in an idyllic environment we can highly recommend this hidden gem.
It was a good place to relax and charge energy after a long travel. The place was quiet as is situated far from the city. The view is very nice, our room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner gave us good tips to enjoy our travel in Phillipines.
The place is spectacular. We arrived on our paddle bikes and were surprised about the location. From our bed we could see the sunrise and with the new moon we went into the pool and gazed at the stars. The Australian and Filipino owners are interesting and warm people. They have several rescue dogs and even a rescue chicken. Nice staff and good food.

The location was amazing & peaceful.
Our hosts Brian and Lea were wonderful and gracious hosts.
Scenic, relaxing, laid-back.
The location was somehow remote, but it was worth it.
Extremely friendly and helpful owners Beautiful view Proximity to the beach Cute animals living on the property Friendly staff Good food Affordable price
This was a really nice surprise! we wasn't sure what to expect but apart from having a bit of difficulty finding the location, everything else was great! It's quite a small resort but that added to it's charm, it was very quiet and peaceful! the pool was lovely, right outside our bungalow, which was BIG! The small but lovely restaurant was really nice, great food and great value, the included breakfast was equally as good. There is easy access to a really good beach as well! then we come to the owners, they were so friendly and interesting to talk to thank you! I know they're planning more accomodation, we'll definately visit again!
I can't think of anything!
Grand View Cottages is an amazing Eco retreat owned and run by a very welcoming couple Brian and Lea who give an intimate experience sharing their slice of paradise. The location is beautifully landscaped with some amazing animals to keep you company in the wilderness. The views of the ocean from the restaurant and bamboo lookout tower are spectacular with the elevation of the land towering over the sea with direct views to Apo Island. The beach is just a short stroll down the hill where you will find millions of star fish, coconut trees and a little Fishermans village. The restaurant has a very personal touch, and you are made to feel at home with fresh and delicious meals using fresh local produce from their property. You're likely to bump into the hosts at the restaurant and around the resort and hear their story about the journey to create this beautiful accommodation and their future plans. We thought we would need to buy food before staying at this place as the location is not close to shops but we were pleasantly surprised that the food prices were very reasonable at the restaurant and the quality was the best we experienced during our travels. Water was provided for no additional charge when we were there which as a pleasant surprise. We definitely were counting our lucky stars when we checked into this place and glad we did our research to find this place while still in our home country. The hosts can organise transport to this place if your book in advance and we highly recommend you organise transport ahead of time as its off the beaten track and we had a bit of trouble finding transport at short notice getting here from Zamboanguita which is not that far away. We would definitely stay here again and looking forward to doing so and regretted staying so long in Dumaguete when we could have been here! Best wishes, Justin and Debbie
Nothing really, I like the traditional bamboo cottages for the traditional Filipino experience. Just don't expect air conditioning as this is an eco resort in traditional style with a great ceiling fan.
Grand view it is, peaceful, cozy, good food and great place to unwind with dear ones. Love the presence of friendly dogs. Sure you will miss this place and be back.
