Reviewed Sep 19, 2026We loved the Aqueduct Guesthouse was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The room and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable and spacious. The host Carla was wonderful and gave us several recommendations for where to visit and where to eat. She also checked in on us to make sure everything was acceptable. We would recommend this guesthouse and would stay here again.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

Access to the rooftop patio and kitchen facilities were a nice bonus. Location was to my liking…in the old town just a short walk to the center!!! Hope to return some day!

Be aware it’s an old building with creaky floors and audible footsteps but that’s just part of choosing a traditional old building

Like most houses in Portugal, the soundproofing isn't amazing, so I could hear guests in the common areas when I was in my room. Everyone was respectful at night and in the morning, so it was no problem.

Host was very friendly and helpful, calling a local taxi for us when we were leaving. In all a super experience and a town we really loved.

The room was extremely comfortable, and warm, which on a rainy night was very welcome. Everything was very clean. Bed was very comfortable. There is a pleasant tree-lined square outside. I came here to see family, who live in Evora. I hope to come again, and if I do would definitely stay here again, or recommend to my family members.
Pillows were a bit hard.

She spent a lot of time with us when we first got there orienting us to her guest house and restaurants and things to see and do in Evora. Her recommendations were spot on! The location was wonderful.. We also really appreciated the microwave and the refrigerator. Highly recommended!

Por poner algo... si tienes alguna dificultad hay escaleras empinadas, pero de ahí su particularidad y encanto.

Reviewed Nov 26, 2025Die Eigentümerin Carla ist superlieb und bemüht und erklärt gerne was man sich anschauen kann. Praktisch ist die kleine Gemeinschaftsküche (mit Kühlschrank&Mikrowelle, aber kein Herd/Möglichkeit zu kochen, was für mich nicht schlimm war). Mein Einzelzimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet & sehr sauber. Öffentlicher PP ggn Bezahlung direkt vor der Tür (80Cent/Std, 8.30-19.30h. Kurzer Weg in die Stadt zu alles Sehenswürdigkeiten.
Leider wackelte Bettgestell extrem, zum Glück bin ich nicht so schwer, hatte aber dennoch das Gefühl bei jeder kleinsten Bewegung kracht es zusammen. Auch empfand ich die Matratze als unbequem und durchgelegen (hatte ein "Loch" in der Mitte). Habe sehr schlecht geschlafen die Nacht.

You have access to the roof for a great view of the surrounding area, as well as a shared full kitchen. Unlike most available apartments in Evora, you can actually park very close to the Aqueduct—although you do have to feed the meter occasionally
The shower was pretty tiny, but we found that a lot of them are in Portugal

Reviewed Nov 2, 2025A casa é simples, mas tem tudo o que precisávamos para a estadia. Nos sentimos como estivéssemos em casa. A Carla nos recebeu com uma simpatia incrível e nos deixou super a vontade. Deu ótimas dicas do que fazer e onde ir e tudo a pé. Penas que ficamos pouco tempo.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2025Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Lage im Stadtzentrum. Sauberkeit. Dachterrasse. Kleine Gemeinschaftsküche. Hübsche Einrichtung. Angemessener Preis. Preisgünstige Parkmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus, aber man braucht Glück. (4,25 € von 15.30 - 19.30, dann kostenlos bis 8.30)
Nur Kleinigkeiten: Die Einrichtung könnte manchmal praktischer sein, zum Beispiel Gepäckablage statt Klappstühlen. Auch für die Küche gilt das. Vor allem, weil ich kein Cafe in der Nähe für das Frühstück gefunden habe. Andererseits war das auch schön, da ich den Frühstücksschwatz mit den amerikanischen Gästen sehr genossen habe. 😀 Das Parken vor der Stadtmauer finde ich klein Problem, bin aber trotzdem auf den Platz vor dem Haus gefahren, als einer frei war.

Reviewed Oct 10, 2025Carla the host was amazing - super friendly and helpful. Loved, loved, loved the rooftop patio! Cute room, big private bathroom, with tiny shower stall.
Evora and the guesthouse were safe but I prefer to have an in-room safe to store my passport and other essential/valuable items instead of walking around with them.
