Reviewed Sep 17, 2026On arrival the host was very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean. Ideal location for a very short walk into Clifden, We ate in Ravis which was very good and then a very good evening in Lowrys bar. Breakfast was very good
Our room was at the top of the house which was a bit awkward with all our motorcycle gear and luggage which wasnt the hosts fault and perhaps i should have put a request on the booking. The room didnt have a kettle /tea/coffee facilities which are available in the loung but i like a brew first thing.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026The location, decor and style of house is beautiful. Room was spacious and lovely with natural light as well as black out curtains and lovely lighting in room. Super comfie bed and pillows. Breakfast of salmon and scrambled eggs a treat and excellent coffee. Staff helpful yet not invasive. Bin emptied daily and room tidied.
Not a dislike just a comment - power of shower a little on the weak side for me. Especially after a days walking and outdoor activity.

I have bad knees so climbing to even just the first floor was a tad difficult. The sitting room was comfortable and provided tea and coffee facilities. Again because of my knee problems I would have liked to be able to make a cup of coffee in the room.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Die Lage des Hotels gefiel sehr gut, relativ ruhig gelegen aber dennoch in Zentrumsnähe. Restaurants, Pubs und Supermarkt sind in wenigen Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Das gesamte Hotel macht einen sehr sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. Unser Zimmer einschl. Bad war sehr geräumig. Wir erhielten täglich ein sehr gutes Frühstück.

-Le bruit des voitures et des camions qui passent la nuit juste en dessous de la chambre ainsi que les passants qui passent et qui parlent ( qui ne crient même pas ) -le propriétaire qui m accueille et ne me donne aucune indication particulière par exemple pour le petit-déjeuner. -les horaires restreints pour le petit-déjeuner (7h30-9h30) -l indication que l on peut se garer gratuitement devant l hôtel...oui mais pas pour tous les clients ! Donc obligés de se garer dans la très étroite rue en sens unique qui mène à l hôtel. Trop peur que l on nous accroche la voiture , nous sommes allés plus loin c est payant de 11h30 à 18h . -Meme pas une bouilloire dans la chambre. -petite chambre pour 3 personnes .

The place is spotless, even nicer than any hotel and the room was spacious with a lovely view over the Pony show ring. The breakfast was delicious and would put any hotel breakfast to shame. Reviewed Jun 13, 2026We stayed at the Dun Ri Hotel in Clifden, after visiting Kylemore Abbey on a trip up the Wild Atlantic Way, and were pleasantly surprised! The entire hotel was as clean as the 4-star hotels that we stayed at and was freshly painted with precision. The beds were quite comfortable, and there was a charming reading lounge with great furnishings, including antique bookcases filled with good books, and even a piano. And the free breakfast was excellent too. I suspect the hotel is family owned and run with pride. When we checked out, I advised them to raise their prices because the other hotels that we stayed at, which cost less than 200 Euros, were dives. But the Dun Ri hotel is definitely not, and I would gladly pay more!
