Reviewed Sep 19, 2026The location was fantastic - walking distance to everything in town. Street parking was ample and nearby the house. Hosts were wonderful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Ample hot water and water pressure. Nice to have an electric kettle in the room.
It was a little noisier than we hoped for - sounds from other guests were a little disturbing but to be expected in an older building. Everyone did observe quiet hours, so this was only a minor issue.

Le lit de notre chambre double était extrêmement petit (lit de 120 cm), cette taille n’est pas acceptable pour une chambre double. Nous en avons parlé au propriétaire qui a du coup voulu nous faire une ristourne mais nous n’avons pas accepté

Walkability was 10. The hosts were fabulous at checkin and out. Our breakfast was amazing. I would happily stay at Benview again.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in great hands! What a delightful stay! This was our first bed & breakfast experience and I think it will be hard to beat! The room was spacious and comfortable! Desmond & Eileen were absolutely amazing :) the breakfast was gourmet! The pancakes are to die for! We will definitely be coming back on our next stay in Clifden! Thank you for everything :)

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Gutes Frühstück, gute Lage Pubs um die Ecke. Parkplatz vor der Tür kostenlos von 18 Uhr bis 11,30 am Folgetag. Ansonsten kostenloser Parkplatz ganz nah. Eileen und Des sind super nette Gastgeber und haben immer Tipps für Besichtigungen usw.. Bequeme Betten.
Wir hatten ziemlich warmes Wetter (ist ja selten in Clifden), keine Klimaanlage.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026Tres bon emplacement dans cette ville typique Irlandaise, on peut aller partout a pieds.Le petit dejeuner est tres bon, tres copieux et magnifiquement servi. Les lits sont confortables et grands. Malgré la vétusté, tout est tres propre.
Les chambres auraient besoin d un coup de jeune. Nous n avons pas pu ouvrir les fenêtres de la salle de bain et de la chambre, car le bois etait gonflé empêchant l ouverture.

Reviewed Jun 18, 2026Uns hat es sehr gefallen. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und alle Lokale und Geschäfte lassen sich schnell zu Fuß erreichen. Das Parken vor dem B&B ist von 11-18 Uhr kostenpflichtig. Es soll aber in der Nähe einen kostenlosen Parkplatz geben. Der Hausherr war super freundlich und hilfsbereit und um seine Gäste sehr bemüht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Das einzige Manko war für uns die etwas zu weichen Betten. Das könnte aber Anderen wiederum gefallen.

Nous avons vraiment l'impression d'être chez Papy et Mamie avec les photos de famille qui nous accompagnent. cela peut être un peu destabilisant mais c'est très local. La chambre très grande était parfaite. Que dire des Pancakes du petit déjeuner.. EXCELLENT !!! Le lieu est parfait pour visiter cette belle région.
Peut être de raccrocher le O sur le nom de la façade ? ... Non tout était parfait. Nous n'avons rien a redire sur cet établissement . Nous recommandons .

L'établissement est situé au cœur de village de Clifden, très animé avec ses nombreuses boutiques et nombreux pubs.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026The breakfast was exceptional, and Ilene & Des couldn't do enough for us. Unfortunately my wife was ill during the trip but Ilene and Des accommodated requests and expresses concern for her wellbeing which was lovely.
Nothing needs to be improved, this is an exceptional B&B and we will be back to enjoy the hospitality.
