J’ai dû attendre 20mn devant le portail jusqu’à ce qu’une femme vienne m’annoncer qu’il était en déplacement et qu’il ne pouvait pas m’héberger. J’ai dû trouver une solution de repli à 23h alors que je voyageais seule. A fuir !

This was truly a scam, and I sincerely hope Booking.com will help me resolve this issue and be more careful in screening such properties. I could not contact the host, and when I arrived, the door was locked. After managing to get inside, I only found a complete mess. My entire plan in Negombo was ruined, and I was forced to look for another option at the last minute, which turned out to be very poor because it was almost impossible to find a decent place on short notice.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025I had a very disappointing experience with this property. I tried calling many times and sent several messages but never received any reply. When I arrived, the place was closed with no one available. I was left stranded and had to book another accommodation at the last minute. Very frustrating and unprofessional.
The property was closed when I arrived and no one responded to my calls or messages. Very unreliable and can ruin your plans.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2025Perfect verblijf voor een nacht in Negombo. Bed ligt prima, warme douche, dichtbij een strand en de bekende straat met restaurantjes. De eigenaar is uiterst vriendelijk en staat altijd paraat voor al je vragen. Hij heeft voor mij heel prettig een AC bus naar Anuradhapura geregeld.
De airco lekte ‘s nachts een beetje op het bed

L’hôtel est dans le centre mais au fond d’une allée un peu en sale état. Les chambres sont au rez de chaussée et totalement vitrées ce qui manque d’intimité mais c’est vraiment un détail

The AC machine was not working properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. It was also very difficult to contact the room keeper on time. It would be better if the room had basic amenities like a water bottle, coffee maker, a proper room bin, and a rack for clothes.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2025Cama y baño de cemento, lo cual le da un toque bonito a la estancia. Está cerca del aeropuerto y al lado de una playa. El dueño fue muy amable con nosotros, nos permitió hacer el check in bastante tarde (nuestro vuelo se retrasó un poco), nos ayudó en todo momento con el equipaje (pesaba bastante) y nos permitió dejar las maletas allí el día del check out para que pudiésemos hacer unas gestiones antes de irnos.
Llegamos tarde de un vuelo, deseando darnos una ducha y fue un poco agridulce: no hay agua caliente, lo cual considero un básico. Ciertamente, para mí no fue un gran problema porque la temperatura ambiente no era demasiado fría, pero para mi pareja, por ejemplo sí. Tampoco hay ningún producto de higiene: gel, champú, sólo un rollo de papel higiénico... Por cierto, cuidado si ves a un señor cojo fuera ofreciéndote un tuk tuk: te estafará SEGURO.

The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. The shower was decent, and overall the room was exactly what we needed for our first stop in Sri Lanka.

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025Wir hatten, nach Nachfrage von der Unterkunft, die Anreise extra zwischen 19 und 20 Uhr angekündigt, waren dann erst um 20.15 Uhr dort und das Zimmer war trotzdem noch nicht fertig geputzt. Nach 15 Minuten konnten wir dann rein. Es war sauber und ordentlich, die Klimaanlage sehr laut im Vergleich zu anderen. Für 1-2 Nächte nach Ankunft oder vor Abflug ausreichend. Gute zentrale Lage in Negombo, nah zum Strand und sehr gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Für die Abreise haben wir extra mehrmals mitgeteilt, dass wir morgens um 7 Uhr los müssen und ob wir dann noch zahlen können und uns wurde bestätigt dass das kein Problem wäre. Am Morgen war der Besitzer dann nicht auffindbar und erreichbar und wir haben das Geld versteckt und sind so abgereist. Zum Glück hat das keine Probleme bereitet, war aber unnötiger Stress.

Reviewed Feb 19, 2025Super fijn verblijf gehad voor ons laatste nachtje Sri Lanka! Schone kamer en badkamer. Goede locatie, restaurants en strand op loopafstand maar niet middenin de drukte. Onze tuktuk konden we parkeren op het terrein. De eigenaar dacht zelfs met ons mee omdat onze vlucht pas om 23:00 vertrok waardoor we later mochten uitchecken! Super lief!

We stayed on the second floor, and there is no hot water. Our last day, we woke up with no water at all, but the property owner was quick to fix it. There is no wifi available. We were told that it broke and doesn’t work anymore.
