Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Ich habe bereits zum zweiten Mal bei der Zimmermietung Ackersand übernachtet und hatte ein Einzelzimmer für eine Zwischenübernachtung gebucht. Wie beim letzten Mal war ich wieder sehr zufrieden. Kein Luxus, aber praktische Lage am Eingang des Mattertals, kostenloses Parkieren, saubere und komfortable Zimmer, praktische Gemeinschaftsküche und problemloser Check-In auch am Abend. Im Vergleich zu meinem letzten Aufenthalt 2023 war das WiFi jetzt deutlich schneller und stabiler.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026The communication and instructions to reach and check-in were very clear and helpful. The host was very prompt with message responses to answer any and every question we had.
The location is slightly challenging - it cannot be accessed directly via the train between Visp and Zermatt and need to switch over to bus 511 which has a low frequency late evening, making it inconvenient to get to the property quickly.

Lage direkt an der Hauptstraße, absolute Katastrophe. Keine Klima, an Fenster öffnen ist nicht zu denken. Langzeitmieterin neben uns, die komplett neben der Spur gelaufen ist.

Es ist wie in einer Jugendherberge aus den 70er Jahren die seitdem nicht renoviert wurde. Die Straße ist extrem laut, die betten unbequem, man hört jedes Geräusch aus den darüber oder angrenzenden Zimmern……..

Roger host premuroso, ho fatto un piccolo bucato che gentilmente si è offerto di asciugare in asciugatrice, non compresa. Sempre disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza. Molto bene.

Es war ein heisses Wochenende und um das Zimmer einwenig abzukühlen, mussten wir die Fenster aufmachen. Es war jedoch immer noch extrem heiss. Der Lärm von der Strasse war jedoch extrem laut und so haben wir kaum geschlafen. Vielleicht hätte der Vermieter ein Ventilator zur Verfügung stellen können.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026Really good sized single room. Nice sized shared shower room, with clean facilities. Indoor and outdoor seating for meals and good range of equipment in the kitchen. Very friendly atmosphere. Small supermarket about 5 minute walk away. Lots of info available of local things to do. Would have considered extending my stay, if I'd not already made train reservationd. Would certainly stay again.
It was really close to Stalden Saas rail station and then, only 2 stops from there, by bus. This worked really well in the day. Unfortunately, the wait for the bus one evening was far longer than walking would have been. Decided to walk but in hindsight, that wasn't the best idea, as the pavements stopped & it was very dark (despite having a torch). Not the fault of the hosts.
