Dit is een van de mooiste resorts die ik ooit gezien heb. Biedt alle comfort en tegelijkertijd geeft het een heel warm tropisch gevoel al die loopbruggetjes, boomhutten en andere faciliteiten. Zelfs onze deluxe boomhut was zeer comfortabel zoals het bed, douche en een goede ventilator. Ook persoon vriendelijk

Vonden zelf de menukaart een beetje tegenvallen. Als je geen viseter bent zijn er niet veel opties en helaas deed de pizzaoven het ook niet. Ook is het best afgelegen dus andere restaurantjes zijn even lopen.

Cadre exceptionnel avec cabane dans les arbres, tout le confort, petit déjeuner et repas hyper frais tout est fait sur place, personnel aux petits soins et à l'écoute. Très belle surprise !

La porte de la chambre avait Beaucoup de mal à fermer. Mais il y a un coffre fort gratuit dans la chambre.

Un petit ressort originale tout en bois avec des cabanes perchés très bien aménagés, une splendide piscine, manger au bord de mer, petit déjeuner onctueux et fait maison, personnel adorable et serviable, le tout au calme et à deux pas de Tangalle ! À recommander vivement ! Je reviendrais

La moustiquaire trouée, la chambre étant ouverte nous nous faits dévorer par les moustiques. Nombreuses énormes araignées dans la chambre. Pas de bouteille d’eau à disposition… Le service était très lent, et les prises de commande catastrophiques. On vous force limite à manger, le personnel est insistant à la limite « lourd ». Nous sommes partis aussitôt en écourtant notre séjour.

This hotel is simply wonderful. I ended up getting the treehouse, and I wasn't disappointed! What an incredible experience. The pool is a real plus, especially since the sea was rough. Everything is very clean, and the staff is incredibly attentive. The breakfasts are generous and the view is amazing.

I honestly don’t think there are enough stars on Booking to express how I felt during my stay at Cinnabar Resort. I stayed in a treehouse during the first week of September, during the off-season, and it was simply incredible. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had found a little piece of paradise. I have never stayed somewhere so peaceful and surrounded by such beautiful nature. The treehouse was absolutely amazing. Waking up with a view over the Indian Ocean and the beach, with a hammock right there to relax in, was an unforgettable experience. It was everything I could have dreamed of for a stay in Sri Lanka. The whole place has such a special atmosphere natural, peaceful and incredibly relaxing. The staff were wonderful and took such good care of me. Everyone was kind, welcoming and attentive. The food was also really good, which made the experience even better. I genuinely regret not being able to stay longer. If I could have extended my stay, I would have done so without hesitation. Cinnabar Resort is 100% an address I will come back to on my next trip to Sri Lanka, and it is also a place I will recommend to all my friends and family. I absolutely loved it. A huge thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special, and congratulations on creating such a beautiful, natural and peaceful place. ❤️ One of my absolute highlights of Sri Lanka. We loved the friendly staff and they gave us an upgrade to the beachfront treehouse. The view was divine and breakfast was really amazing with lots of additions to the usual breakfast including fresh juice.

If you have any immobility issues the treehouse is not for you!

The tree houses are whimsical, the whole resort is beautifully done. The Sri Lankan food is some of the best we had, and the staff are so kind. We loved it.

Hele bijzondere plek. Is net een klein dorpje met de prachtigste boomhutten en ontzettende mooie beplanting. Aan elk klein detail is gedacht en je wordt hier helemaal zen. Wakker worden door het geruis van de zee, tjilpende vogeltjes en uitzicht op een heerlijk licht zoutwater zwembad en de zee. Het ontbijt is fantastisch en dat is nog zacht uitgedrukt. Na 4 weken reizen door Sri Lanka nog nergens zo'n goed en vers ontbijt gekregen met echt vers brood en de beste, homemade jam gemaakt van ananas en mango, gebakken banaan, omelet, en nog veel meer lekkers. De gehele menukaart is voortreffelijk en zo ook de verse cocktails. Ze hebben hele lieve honden rondlopen en toen wij er waren 2 hele schattige pups. Sanji, Sunil, Kumare en de rest van de jongens zijn heel erg vriendelijk en altijd in voor een leuk praatje en doen ontzettend hun best. Heel erg bedankt jongens voor ons prettige verblijf! Oh en wat wij ontzettend lief en attent vonden... Als je weg gaat krijg je een personalised goodie bag met leuke goodies.

Beste Revi probeer wat meer te lachen en de mensen vriendelijk te verwelkomen net zoals je collega's dat doen. Een goede toevoeging zou zijn; Een lange spiegel en een stopcontact ernaast (om je haar droog te kunnen blazen en je outfit te checken) Zo ook een waterkoker met koffie en thee faciliteiten,zodat je om 06:00 vanaf je balkon kan genieten van een kopje koffie of thee en de zonsopkomst.

Cinnabar resort is like a piece of paradise. It has a most amazing team of people, to the point that by the time you leave, you are saying goodbye to friends. Sanji and his team are all around beautiful people. The resort is on a quiet road and when you walk into the resort suddenly find yourselves around trees, greenery for the view on a beautiful pool and tree houses above you. As you walk to the seaside of the property, you pass the most creative wooden creations and a beautiful saltwater pool. Walking even closer towards the sea you enter into a restaurant space different seating area some of them allowing you to put your feet in the sand. I loved the feel of the place - even without meeting the staff, I immediately felt at home. We received a fantastic upgrade to a tree house by the sea, with views on the forest and the sea.

There was absolutely nothing not to like. It was all around gorgeous.

Le site et les maisons dans les arbres sont exceptionnels, quoi de mieux que dormir en entendant le roulis des vagues et de se doucher face aux palmiers ? On a l'impression de dormir dans un cocon, mais dehors. La piscine est sublime, le personnel aux petits soins. Un petit coin de paradis, qu'on a du mal à quitter!

Die Anlage ist super schön, gepflegt und originell mit den Baum Häuser. Es hat ein wunderschönes, angelegtes Pool. Ab und zu kommen Wilde Tiere vorbei, was auch sehr interessant ist.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und grosszügig. Sie haben uns ein Upgrade gegeben für das Beach House direkt am Meer. Wir waren 5 Nächte zu Besuch und bekamen ein Abschiedsessen geschenkt am letzten Abend plus ein Abschiedsgeschenk, was sehr nützlich für die eigene Küche zu Hause ist.

Ab und zu muss man ein bisschen lange warten bis das Essen kommt, aber da wir keine Termine hatten war das ok. Im Meer zu baden ist eher schwierig an diesem Ort. Aber rundherum hat es tolle Strände.

Klein paradijs, fantastische plek. Vriendelijke hostmannen en verrukkelijk eten! Heerlijk zwembad en alles goed onderhouden. We hadden een foutje gemaakt bij het boeken en de mannen losten mijn fout op door ons door te schuiven naar een familie kamer. Alsnog bedankt!!

We had a wonderful stay at Cinnabar in Tangalle. The property is a beautiful beachfront retreat surrounded by nature, with an eco-friendly design that blends perfectly with its peaceful surroundings. The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. One of the highlights was being able to hear the soothing sound of the ocean and feel the refreshing sea breeze throughout the day and night. It truly made it easy to unwind and disconnect from the busy world. Enjoying our meals while sitting right on the beachfront, overlooking the ocean, was an unforgettable experience. The combination of the stunning views, peaceful ambience, and natural beauty made our stay truly special. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a pleasant smile. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home and added so much to our overall experience. We would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing beachfront getaway in Tangalle. We look forward to visiting again!

Un séjour très paisible et agréable en bord de mer dans un lieux magnifique. Personnel très agréable.

Eine ganz besondere Unterkunft, in der man in wunderschönen Baumhäusern übernachtet. Die gesamte Anlage liegt direkt am Strand und bietet eine einzigartige Atmosphäre. Für ein Baumhaus ist die Ausstattung sehr gut. Besonders gefallen hat uns der großzügige, abgetrennte Außenbereich mit Dusche und Toilette. Hoch oben in den Baumwipfeln zu schlafen und zu duschen ist ein Erlebnis, das man nicht so schnell vergisst. Auch die Anlage selbst ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Vor allem der Strandbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein und trägt zum besonderen Charme der Unterkunft bei. Wer nach einer außergewöhnlichen Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in direkter Strandlage sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Während unseres Aufenthalts war ausschließlich Barzahlung möglich. Aufgrund des relativ hohen Betrags mussten wir bei Abreise extra nach Tangalle fahren, um ausreichend Bargeld abzuheben und alles bezahlen zu können. Ein kurzer Hinweis bei der Anreise oder bereits im Vorfeld hätte uns die Planung deutlich erleichtert.

Если вы хотите побывать в раю, то вам сюда: за уединением, расслаблением, релаксом. Лучше и не придумаешь. Великолепный бассейн, очень красивая территория и в шаге океан. Домики все внутри красиво оформлены, вся мебель плетенная и деревянная. Вкусные завтраки, столько всего много, что мы выкатывались из за стола, также мы ужинали в ресторане, все было очень вкусно. Советую побывать тут обязательно.

Единственное что омрачало наше пребывание тут, так это бедные животные. На территории отеля живут несколько собачек и маленький котенок белый. Но все животные настолько худые и голодные, что слов нет. Неужели нельзя их кормить и хоть как то ухаживать, раз уж они живут при отеле или пусть даже прибились. Очень жалко животных.

It is definitely the best hotel in Sri Lanka. The ambience is unforgettable. The rooms, the view, the food everything was perfect. You are sleeping with the ocean sound. The pool is even with ocean water and not very cold. You are eating your food almost inside the ocean and this is very good chance. You must try this hotel

We had to check out of another hotel after only two hours and booked Cinnabar based on a friend’s recommendation. Honestly, it exceeded every expectation. The kids and I arrived hot, tired, stressed and hungry. The moment we walked into the resort, all of that disappeared. It felt like stepping into a storybook, a hidden magical garden tucked away from the rest of the world. The property itself is stunning. Built over many years, it perfectly balances sophistication, creativity and charm. Set on a quiet stretch of beach at the end of a secluded lane, it feels like you’ve discovered a secret paradise. The treehouse-style villas are beautiful, clean and incredibly comfortable. Walking across the wooden bridges and hand-built staircases felt like being on a movie set. My children absolutely loved it, especially the resident kittens. What truly makes Cinnabar special, however, is the people. Arrive as guests, leave as friends. The owner is a genuinely kind, thoughtful and fascinating person, and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. Ravi and the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, especially my son, who may have consumed more ice cream than strictly necessary! Travelling as a single mum with two young children comes with plenty of challenges, and staying here made our trip easier, happier and far less stressful. We loved watching the team play cricket on the beach in the evenings and were even invited to join in. I genuinely cannot say a bad word about our experience. Whether you’re travelling solo, with children, as a couple or with friends, I cannot recommend Cinnabar highly enough. We loved it so much that we extended our stay. When the kids ask to stay longer, who am I to argue? Thank you to everyone at Cinnabar for making us feel so at home. We will absolutely be back.

Cannot say a bad word. Only thing to note is accessibility as some of the tree house villas are up hand built stairs and across wooden bridges.

Reinigung des Zimmers bei 4 Nächten nur 1 * ist bei der Hitze wegen benutzten Klopapier im Korb ohne Deckel und gebrauchte Handtücher unhygienisch.

The resort is one of its kind with treehouses like from a jungle fantasy movie. The location at the picture perfect Tangalle beach, an excellent restaurant with Sri Lankan and Italian food, a good-sized pool and many little nooks and corners to sit and relax makes this place extraordinary.

Some of the chairs in the restaurant area could have better, more comfortable cushions. Unfortunately the beach is not good for swimming.

Un accueil vraiment pas à la hauteur. Je suis arrivé avec mon compagnon sri lankais avec qui je vis depuis plusieurs années. On m’a proposé un surclassement dans une cabane dans les arbres ce qui était très sympa. On me l’a fait visiter et 5 minutes après, lorsque la direction a compris que la personne sri lankaise qui était avec moi n’etait pas juste mon chauffeur, ils ont fait marche arrière sur le surclassement. C’était vraiment insultant et pas à la hauteur de l’établissement. Une réelle discrimination envers les personnes sri lankaise. Sinon notre chalet de luxe était très sombre et donnait sur le chemin. Du coup obligé de fermer les rideaux tout le temp. La petite terrasse n’etait pas intime car sur le chemin et disposait de 2 pauvres chaises qui n’invitaient vraiment pas à la détente. Des fauteuils auraient été les bienvenus. La porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas et la moustiquaire était trouée à plusieurs endroits. Je suis donc globalement déçu par cet établissement. Pour le même prix, je suis allée dans des endroits vraiment exceptionnels au Sri Lanka.

We stayed here for one night to experience a childhood dream of ours—sleeping in a treehouse. Nestled among century-old trees, they have created a small wooden world, making Cinnabar a truly unique and impressive place. However, it may not be suitable for everyone. For example, if you are overweight, climbing the steep ladders to the treehouses can be challenging. Likewise, if you are uncomfortable with monkeys or insects, you may find it difficult to sleep, as the treehouses do not have glass windows. If you are not at ease with nature and prefer a higher level of comfort, this might not be the right place for you.

We found the hotel staff to be less welcoming than expected; at times, they even seemed unfriendly. The service was also slow and somewhat unorganized.

Great place if you just want a couple of days of rest on the beach. The whole resort is such a vibe, never stayed at a place like this before. Right in nature, so beware of some wildlife! Compared to other places in the south, it was super quiet here and I enjoyed my tree house so much. At night you can hear the waves. The breakfast was excellent, especially the big fruit platter. The pool is big so it’s also great for swimming!

It’s a bit unfortunate that you can only pay with cash since it’s not very cheap, would have probably spent more money but the next ATM is in the city center which is like a 20 min walk. Not a super big deal though! I also had to get used to the open concept of the tree houses (you hear all the animals and insects outside and some also come in, but I was safe under my mosquito net). After one night it was totally fine and I really enjoyed my stay :)

So many of the reviews on booking.com say how brilliant places are, so it’s hard to really work out the really special places. Cinnabar is on another level. You feel it as soon as you arrive. The atmosphere, the care taken with everything, the food and all the staff. And of course, the totally amazing tree houses. We had five days there and just loved it. Waking up in the trees to the sound of the sea - amazing. Thank you to everyone on the Cinnabar team.

Incredible place - tree houses built up on stilts with individual stairs and walk ways to each. Beautiful saltwater pool and restaurant right on to the beach. Sleeping with the crashing waves and waking to the most beautiful beach was wonderful. Stunning location that felt truly decadent and a little slice of paradise. Fantastic food - we had the barbecued fish which was a real treat.

Accommodation and food was on the expensive side for Sri Lanka but then the effort gone into building this place probably justifies it.

Heel bijzonder resort. De tuin is echt prachtig echt bied een hoop schaduw. Het zwembad is fijn. De medewerkers zijn heel aardig en vrijwel de hele dag bezig om de boel netjes te houden en zorgen voor een fijne sfeer. De kamer is basic maar wel heel mooi gemaakt (verwacht wel wat gekkos en insecten)Als je van natuur houd, en van rust houdt dan is dit een aanrader. Het ontbijt is ook erg goed.

Zee is te ruig om in te zwemmen, wel heel mooi strand.

Posto stupendo, con case sugli alberi piscina e ristorante sulla spiaggia privata con lettini e materassi. Tutti i sentieri sono fatti con sabbia, molto pulito. Lo consiglio assolutamente come tappa se si scende verso il mare!

la struttura è spettacolare, immersa del verde e sulla spiaggia, la piscina magnifica; la camera curata. affaccia sulla spiaggia e il rumore del mare e delle sue onde ti accompagna sempre. la spiaggia è bella e lunga e molto tranquilla: ci sono grandi onde e la presenza di scogli difficilmente permettono di fare il bagno. Colazione spettacolare e tranquilla in riva al mare

la spa non è all'altezza della struttura il servizio ristorante: abbiamo pranzato e cenato li e abbiamo sempre aspettato almeno mezz'ora o un'ora per essere serviti. Avevamo richiesto un piatto alla griglia non piccante, e ci è stato servito cibo in salsa e piccante: ci è stato sostituito ma comunque non era cio che era stato ordinato e non era buono. Peccato, perche gli altri giorni abbiamo mangiato molto bene.

Hier ist deine umgeschriebene Bewertung für Booking – etwas flüssiger und professioneller formuliert, aber weiterhin persönlich: --- Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön gestaltet und wirklich etwas ganz Besonderes. Zwischen den Mangroven zu wohnen, war ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Der Strand zählt definitiv zu den schönsten auf unserer Reise – weitläufig, nicht überlaufen und einfach traumhaft. Direkt vor Ort kann man zwar nicht klassisch schwimmen, jedoch befinden sich nur wenige Meter entfernt kleine natürliche Pools. Wer richtig ins Meer möchte, erreicht problemlos fußläufig geeignete Badestellen. Für uns hat das den Aufenthalt in keiner Weise beeinträchtigt – wir würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen. Einige Bewertungen bemängeln die Freundlichkeit des Personals, was wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen können. Das gesamte Team war sehr aufmerksam, schnell und äußerst zuvorkommend. Man sollte allerdings den Humor der Crew verstehen – das Team ist eher jung und hat einen trockenen, lockeren Humor, den man vielleicht nicht sofort einordnen kann. Wenn man sich darauf einlässt, merkt man schnell, wie herzlich alle sind. Zum Abschied haben wir sogar noch ein kleines Geschenk erhalten, was uns sehr gefreut hat. Wichtig ist zu wissen, dass die Unterkunft bewusst mitten in die Natur gebaut wurde. Teilweise sind die Dächer offen gestaltet, sodass es natürlich vorkommen kann, dass sich auch mal Tiere hinein verirren. Das Personal hat sich jedoch sofort gekümmert, wenn etwas war. Rund um die Betten gibt es Moskitonetze, sodass man beim Schlafen gut geschützt ist. Insgesamt hatten wir eine wundervolle Zeit und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ein traumhaftes Resort, eingebettet in die Natur Srilankas. Sie haben sich besonders Mühe gegeben in der Ausstattung, somit war nicht ein Gegenstand aus Plastik zu finden. Affen, Monitor Lizzards, Hunde und Katzen lieben im Einklang mit den Touristen und Mitarbeitern. Ein Traumort!!!!

The service/staff was rude, seems that they treat people differently depending on the room choise. Also they accept only cash payments which is quite inconvenient given their high prices.

Heerlijk verblijf, mooie kamer, prima zwembad en rustige locatie aan het strand. In werkelijkheid mooier dan op de foto’s. Vriendelijk personeel.

Het duurde zo’n uur voordat we ontbijt kregen, maar je zit er prachtig dus het wachten is niet erg.

Außergewöhnliche Anlage mit Hütten auf Stelzen in den Bäumen. Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Unglaubliche Schönheit mit dem Meer (Wellen,), die Ruhe und wenig Menschen.

Ich musste fragen, damit das Zimmer gemacht wird. Ich würde informiert, dass das Thema jeden zweiten Tag gemacht wird. Da wir vier Personen waren, könnten sich die Tellergeschirr und so weiter. Für den Preis hätte ich jetzt schon erwartet dass hier jeden Tag das Thema gemacht wird. Sehr speziell auch, dass alles nur bar bezahlt werden kann. Das sind bei diesem Beträgen sehr viele Noten, die man am Bank beziehen muss. Um das Geld zu holen, musste ich ein Proto vom Hotel her nehmen. Das wurde mir auch verrechnet. Den Wechselkurs USD fand ich auch nicht korrekt darüber konnte man auch nicht verhandeln. Dazu kommen lange Wartezeiten, nur um einen Kaffee zu erhalten. Diese Dinge haben mir nicht so gefallen. Alles in allem war es den Aufenthalt wert. Wir waren vier Tage dieses Resort weiter.

Amazing location right on the beach. Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff friendly and attentive and went out of their way to make sure you were always happy. We extended our stay. 10/10

Prachtige plek aan zee. Fantastisch ontbijt elke ochtend. Echt ultiem strand en vakantiegevoel. Lekker bed.

Als je in hutje 1 zit komt de rook van de keuken het hutje in aangezien alles open is. Gaat vooral om de geur. Blijft alsnog een fantastische plek.

L'emplacement était magnifique, environnement reposant, belle piscine Transat sur la plage Bon restaurant et très bon et copieux petit déjeuner Surclassement proposé à notre arrivée (sûrement pour s'accommoder des frais de réservations mais c'est tjs à prendre)

On ne peut pas payer en cash 2 transats pour toute cette belle piscine c'est pas assez il y aurait largement de la place pour une quinzaine (sur le côté et partie bois) Difficile de se baigner, vagues assez grandes et rocher Le staff ne fait pas les chambres (pourquoi pas, mais ça s'accumule vite dans les poubelles)

Die Lage und die Bauweise ist einzigartig, das Meeresrauschen Balsam für die Seele. Gerade abends entspannt es sich beim Feuer am Strand in unglaublichem Ambiente.

Die Mitarbeiter könnten freundlicher und aufmerksamer sein - für Sri Lanka Waren wir hier ein wenig enttäuscht.

De mooiste plek waar je ooit op het strand zal slapen, echt waanzinnig mooi aangelegd!! Heerlijk zwembad, goed restaurant. Het strand hier is rustig

Zwemmen in de zee is niet aan te raden ivm grote golven. Je kan alleen contant betalen, niet heel handig met grote bedragen.
