Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Location was superb, beds were comfy, big bed, and loved l the amount of plugs and usb’s available. Shower was amazing, powerful and hot. A hairdryer in the room was very useful, especially when travelling with weight restrictions 😊 room was spotless.
Room 11 is at the front and got quite noisy in the morning as seemed to be the meeting point for guests leaving. Not a criticism, just something to bare in mind if you wanted to sleep in. Bigger towels would be great, again not a criticism 😊 the room was very warm, as only 2 small windows to open, so a fan would’ve been very useful.

Reviewed Aug 29, 2026Stayed a few times now and everything was even better newly decorated, centre to pubs , cafes , shops and as I travel by public transport its spot on and I was very nicely let book in well before time as I was leaving early the next day .

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Beautiful and comfy rooms, and you didn’t have to interact with anyone if you didn’t want to. They had fantastic and in depth recommendations for the area, and provided maps for the walking trails, menus for the local restaurants, and more.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026.Madelines is very clean and comfortable. Right in the centre of Tinahealy and close to Ballybeg House Tea coffee, .and biscuits in the room Ramp up to front door Staff lovely. We met them in the morning. Door Codes mean you can come and go whenever you wamt, securely. Close to coffeehouse and farm shop for breakfast.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026An incredible place to visit! This is an amazing, clean and convenient family run business, we highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning! Such a friendly spot, everything you need on your doorstep, the family and locals are friendly and made us welcome. Beautiful location, lots of lovely walks, plenty to do and see. Accommodation was newly refurbished, decorated to the highest standard and the beds were extremely comfortable. Can’t rate this property and location highly enough! Thank you so much for an amazing stay, will be back.
I really don’t want to say anything negative, the only thing I would comment on is the noise coming from the room above when the guests were walking about late at night & early morning. Other than that it was perfect!

Bed so comfy. Fan was appreciated for extra coolness in the nice weather, blackout blinds where great. Stayed in sml double room with ensuite, ideal.

Se nota el esmero puesto en que la habitación esté óptima. Las instalaciones son nuevas y cuidadas. Es muy agradable saber que se puede regular la calefacción dentro de la habitación. La tv es moderna y tiene las plataformas para que uno se pueda conectar con su usuario. Hay enchufes en cada lado de la cama, y hay té, cafe y pava eléctrica. Todo en perfectas condiciones. Las habitaciones tienen salida a un patio interior muy bonito, lo cual es un plus para tomar fresco si el día está lindo Fue una estadía muy agradable y el personal que cruzamos fue super amable. El baño estaba adaptado para personas con movilidad reducida, me pareció un detalle positivo de inclusión. Las imágenes que muestran son fieles a la realidad y en cuanto a comodidad, fue mejor de lo imaginado. Excelente ubicación para disfrutar el pueblo y las caminatas.
lamentablemente la construcción del edificio no está lo suficientemente insonorizada y si estás en el piso de abajo y hay huespedes arriba, se escuchan los pasos, las puertas, el inodoro. También se oye cuando alguien entra o sale del edificio porque la puerta exterior y la escalera estaban cerca de la habitación. Algunas personas de sueño liviano pueden sentirlo, pero si no tienen problemas al dormir, es un lugar perfecto y cómodo. Ttengan en cuenta ésto porque creo que para algunas personas el silencio es importante para dormir, quizá se podría poner alfombras en las habitaciones o insonorizar de algún modo.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Čisté a útulné ubytování v centru, veškeré vybavení v ceně, čekala na nás připravená studená láhev vody (což se v parných dnech hodilo), milé bylo i možnost uvařit si čaj a kávu s připravenou sušenkou. Výčerpávající byl i seznam možných aktivit v okolí a kam jít na jídlo. Majitelé velmi dobře komunikovali a vše jsme věděli s předstihem.
Jediné malé mínus jsou tenčí zdi, které úplně neizolují.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026The town is so quaint, and this hotel is centrally located. The town is pretty small, so street parking was easy. The staff was attentive via WhatsApp. My family and I loved the self-check-in as we were doing a road trip, as we got in late. If you want to do some trails in the Wicklow Mountains, this place is about 40 minutes away.

Reviewed Jul 5, 2026The location in the heart of Tinahely is fantastic! I stopped here on my walk of the Wicklow Way and found everything I needed - rest as well as possiblities to restock. Madeline's is a quiet guesthouses that is run remotely, so I didn't meet any of the stuff.
My room was quite small and I personally missed a big window and any kind of lounging area in the accomodation. Otherwise I had a good stay! Can recommend staying here!

In pieno centro ma di piccolissimo paese da dove partono innumerevoli sentieri, poca scelta di bar e ristoranti.

The touchpad codes worked well and we never had an issue with them. The binder with information on the area was very detailed. We were able to explore many a lot of Wicklow from this location.

No hot water. Lovely clean, new bathroom. But no hot water. None. Not a drop. We stayed here to attend a wedding on the Saturday night so not being able to have a shower to start Sunday and before the drive home to Dublin was a major failure. We'd got up fairly late and when we realised that the shower was icy-cold, we notified the contact number on WhatsApp (no front desk in properly) and they did say that they were aware of the issue an trying to resolve it, however by checkout time there was still no hot water and we had to leave by then anyway. I understand that they'd had difficulties with renovations but feel that this is a fundamental failing for en-suite accommodation. As above, I would have rated Madeline's as 10 except for this.
