Reviewed Jul 23, 2026Housekept by a joyful lady and her mother (I guess). It's located in the heart of Barcelona, right on a very prestigious boulevard, too. You won't be let down by the location, you can be sure of it. The building is old, and authentic. Has a historical elevator, which is a delightful experience. Albeit, a little intimidating lol. AC worked fine. No need to complain about the prices, I guess. Barcelona is just expensive, so, fair.
Unfortunately, the room service wasn't the best. I found my shoes yanked under the bed, twice. Found hair and dust on the cover sheets. The under sheets might have been clean, sure. But if it comes into contact with something I perceive as not, I want them changed, regardless. And don't want to explain my preferences. They should be changed everyday unless it's stated otherwise by the guest, anyway. No questions asked. This is the only thing that's bothered me. They keys... I understand it's either a security concern or maybe just a policy set by the keepers but it sure is kind of unpleasant. I want to come in and out of the hotel without being worried about what time it is and whether I'm annoying the receptionist. Because I sometimes do go in an out of the hotel 3 to 4 times within a 30 minute interval, it's happened before. Maybe changing to a card system would be better for all? Just a suggestion.

Reviewed Jul 18, 2026The hostel is very well situated close to the Ramblas and Catalunya square. The room is small but has a fully functional shower with hot water and good aircon. Very comfortable bed and room cleaned cleaned every day. Lovely ladies on the front desk helped me out with my beginners Spanish. The hostel is situated in a beautiful old building on the 4th floor with a lift with a wooden carriage. Lift has enough room for two people or there are stairs for the energetic. The shutters are on the outside of the windows and I had to lean out to close them.
Rooms are not sound proofed so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Mainly people were quiet. Not much storage but ok for a couple of nights.

Super consigliato non sembra per niente un 2 stelle.

You couldn’t take your key with you and no one was allowed in your room regardless of time of day (hotel did not say this in policies which is very misleading). Air conditioning was also pretty bad and shower was not good.

Bagno angusto,letti poco comodi,camera da ristrutturare benche' pulita. La sig.ra che gestiva la struttura,non consentiva di portare con noi la chiave! Si rendeva disponobile ad aprirci il portone e la camera ogni volta che uscivamo!Questo aspetto benche' garantisca controllo e tutela,diventa un vincolo a mio avviso notevole!Se dimentichi di comprare l'acqua alle due di notte,o ti va di fare un giro,devi svegliare la padrona di casa!!!

Je réserve un hôtel à Barcelone chaque été, et c'est la première fois que je suis aussi déçue. Nous avons payé 438 € pour deux nuits, un prix totalement injustifié au vu de la prestation. La chambre était annoncée à 15 m², mais elle était en réalité minuscule. Nous avions une vue sur une cour, juste en face de la réception, avec très peu d'intimité. Le pire reste l'insonorisation : dès le matin, nous entendions parfaitement toutes les conversations à la réception, comme si elles avaient lieu dans notre chambre. Impossible de profiter d'un séjour reposant. Pas de fer à repasser. Le rapport qualité-prix est très mauvais et ne correspond pas aux prestations annoncées. C'est une réelle déception, et contrairement à mes habitudes lorsque je viens à Barcelone, je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel.

The location is excellent, having Casa Batló on the corner and beautiful Passeig di Gracia in front of you. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The hostel was quiet which made for a great night of sleep. Id definitely book this place again when I come back to Barcelona.

Si bien tiene ascensor, para acceder a él hay que subir algunos escalones al ingresar al edificio. No hay frigobar en la habitación.

Reviewed Jun 5, 2026Location of the hotel is perfect, It was very close to the metro station and many tourist attractions. Even if the hotel is in the top floor in a building security was decent and employees are very helpfull.
Cleaning could be better. There is dust under the bed and corners on the room. Every time the toilet was flushed, water came back up into the shower tray. This was a major hygiene problem and it makes us uncomfortable.

Volvería a alojarme aquí aunque pienso que el precio es un poco caro ya que la habitación era pequeña, sin embargo lo pagaría nuevamente por las medidas de seguridad y la belleza del hostal. Las sábanas son de primera calidad. La próxima vez que vuelva a Barcelona sin dudas me alojaré en Hostal Olivia.
Me hubiese gustado que haya un acondicionador en el baño, solo había shampoo y por el precio que cobran podría haber acondicionador también.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Não há nenhum ponto positivo a ser citado. Experiência péssima, desde o atendimento até as acomodações. Tivemos um problema com o ar condicionado que não foi resolvido e a equipe não estava minimamente preparada e muito menos disposta a lidar com a situação. Quando fizemos a reclamação junto ao Booking para pedir cancelamento, ainda fomos confrontados e coagidos pela atendente que, inclusive, nos mandou calar a boca enquanto ela falava sozinha (ssshhh). Fora o transtorno (financeiro e emocional) para efetivar o cancelamento e buscar outra acomodação para o mesmo dia à noite (por volta de 22h00 no horário local) sem que isso prejudicasse financeiramente a sequência de uma viagem de férias. Sem quaisquer dúvidas, pior experiência com uma hospedagem.
Tudo, toda a experiência. A resposta anterior reflete muito do que foi a estadia (se é que pode-se chamar de estadia, já que chegamos às 14h00 e saímos às 22h00, somente tendo deixado as malas no quarto). Você é obrigado a deixar a chave, mas com todos os seus pertences e documentos dentro, o ar condicionado não funciona, o quarto é abafado e apertado (ao contrário do que indicavam as fotos), estrutura antiga e antiquada, banheiro minúsculo e desconfortável. O atendimento, então, nem se fala. Nunca vivenciamos um atendimento tão ruim em viagem como aqui.

Niente di negativo a parte che abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte nel weekend della Moto GP a Barcellona quindi il costo aveva un deciso sovrapprezzo rispetto allo standard.

Odaya diger odalardaki sesler ve disarinin gurultusu cok fazla geliyordu. Uykusu hafif olan biri icin hic uygun olmaz. Minibar olsa daha iyi olurdu. 6 gun kaldim ama havlular hic degistirilmedi. Bunu talep etmeme gerek yoktu.
