Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel où tout était parfait en particulier l'accueil et la gentillesse de la gestionnaire des lieux.

El hotel estaba increíble, muy buenas vistas, instalaciones bastante chulas para ser Sri Lanka y a un precio muy bueno, la mujer que lo llevaba un encanto, nos gestionó una motillo para que por la tarde pudiésemos movernos. La habitación amplia, contaba con aire acondicionado y ventilador además era acogedora, el baño estaba también bien y no se empapaba todo al ducharse. Además comimos y cenamos en su restaurante, ella cocina muy bien tarda un poco porque lo cocina en el momento pero la verdad que comimos genial. Desayuno también bueno a elegir entre rotti y tostadas, y de cantidad estaba bastante bien. Además en el restaurante hay vista directa al lago y a los animales que hay por allí Muy recomendable

Lugar ideal para relajarse, súper tranquilo. Todo muy bien cuidado. Me ha encantado. La playa es salvaje no es para bañarse en ella.

Ontzettend vriendelijke bediening. Prachtige omgeving. Zoveel mooie vogels gezien om de locatie. Prachtige tempel Mulkirigala op de scooter bezocht én ‘s nachts de schildpadjes zien uitkomen! de We hebben er een nacht bijgeboekt!

De WIFI is minder sterk, maar er was zoveel om van te genieten dat dat eigenlijk een voordeel was.

L’hôte est adorable et la nourriture très bonne. La piscine est très grande et la vue magnifique sur le lac. Si aimez le calme et observer la nature, c’est l’endroit idéal.

Pokój był okej jak za tę cenę, było czysto. Bardzo ładny ogródek, zadbany. Właścicielka również była bardzo miła i robiła przepyszne, obfite śniadania w cenie hotelu. Woda w basenie była w sam raz na sierpień :)

Pokój był dość ponury, ciemny. Ciężko było wyregulować wodę pod prysznicem na ciepłą lub zimną, a czasem leciała bardzo gorąca, jednak nie było to dla nas mocno uciążliwe :)

Fantastisch plek, te midden van groen, apen, varanen, eekhoorntjes en heel veel vogels. Erg nette kamers, keurig schoon. En vriendelijk personeel die ook nog begrepen hoe je goed glutenvrij eten maakt voor onze dochter met coeliakie.

Het ligt heerlijk rustig buiten het stadje, 5 minuten lopen naar het strand, of met de tuktuk naar eettentjes.

Arrivés le constat fait : -pas du tout comme les photos - oreillers sans housse et sales et taches (je n’aurai jamais pu dormir sur un oreiller comme cela) - lac inexistant et à sec -Clim qui fuit - la dame qui nous a installé m’a demandé de payer une nuit malgré notre demande d’annulation gratuite j ai refusé elle a alors demandé une commission… loin d’être honnête !!!

Obiekt pięknie położony, z widokiem na lagunę, wokół cisza i ptaki, wiewiórki i warany. Basen czysty, z ciepłą wodą. Śniadania typowo lankijskie, najpyszniejsze omlety podczas 10 dni na wyspie. Plaża w odległości spaceru, ogromna i co najważniejsze pusta. Lokalizacyjnie na uboczu, ale jeśli ma się auto to nie jest problem. Pokoje wygodne, jest czajnik, ale nie ma lodówki. Ogólnie polecam, jeśli ktoś lubi spokojny, rodzinny pobyt.

Mon deuxième séjour à Eagles et toujours aussi bien. Un petit havre de paix, une piscine dans un très très joli jardin tropical. Le personnel est très sympa. Beaucoup d’oiseaux, de paons, d’écureuils à observer Beaucoup de petits restaurants à proximité

La piscine vraiment trop chaude en journée, impossible de se rafraîchir…mais bon ce mois de mars est particulièrement chaud… Peut-être ajouter un peu plus d’eau fraîche le matin ?

Petit paradis dans la nature. Nous avons passé trois merveilleux jours dans cet établissement. Excellent accueil de la patronne. petit déjeuner et repas excellents. Nous recommandons fortement cet hôtel.

En un mois de voyage c'est l'endroit où on s'est sentie le mieux. On y a passé 5 jours. La douceur de Nimie notre hôte. Le jardin verdoyant, la vue sur le lac et ses oiseaux, les paons en liberté, les perruches et les écureuils qui viennent manger les restes de fruits, la piscine propre et grande. La chambre parfaite avec sa terrasse où on se sent chez soi. Les petits déjeuners copieux et variés. La plage est accessible à pied en longeant le lac. On peut rejoindre le centre de Tangalle d'un coup de Tuktuk.

Das beste an der Unterkunft ist die Tierwelt. Die Wildtiere werden regelmäßig mit Küchenresten gefüttert. Zimmer war groß und AC hat gut funktioniert.

Es hat alles gestunken. Einerseits hat das mit dem Sumpf vorm Haus zu tun, aber auch das Badezimmer hat gestunken. Wifi funktionierte nicht gut und war somit unbrauchbar. Das Wasser wurde einfach am Vormittag ohne Vorwarnung abgedreht, ich war voller Seife und musste dann Trinkwasser verwenden um mich von der Seife zu befreien. Der Pool ist am Nachmittag so aufgeheizt, dass es an ein Thermalbad erinnert.

Die Hotelanlage ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Personal, insbesondere die Managerin, war außergewöhnlich nett und entgegenkommend. Unser Hotelzimmer war klein aber sauber. Das kleine Restaurant bietet ausreichend Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken, die frisch zubereitet werden. Der Blick vom Restaurant über den angrenzenden See und die zahlreichen Tiere (Pfaue, Papageien, Streifenhörnchen und sogar Affen) hat uns begeistert.

Obiekt położony w cichej części miasta ale do centrum można łatwo dojechać tuk tukiem, piękna plaża w zasięgu krótkiego spaceru, w pobliżu kilka restauracji. Otoczenie hotelu zachwycające, ptaki, spacerujące pawie, biegające wiewiórki, śniadanie z widokiem na wodę.

W pokoju na parterze nieprzyjemny zapach wilgoci, brak kosmetyków w łazience.

Very warm and welcoming hosts and beautiful setting! The garden is idyllic, with lots of flowers and visiting birds. Comfortable and spacious rooms, with relaxing balconies. Great location, close to the beach and nice local restaurants - including the one at Eagles Nest, which serves tasty breakfast and dinner. This was a last minute booking, and we're so glad we chose to stay here. Would come again.

Excellent emplacement : très proche du site d'observation des tortues (avec toute les précautions et respect nécessaires !), proche de piscines naturelles, rare lieu où la baignade est possible, quartier calme à l'écart du tumulte du centre-ville. La terrasse où sont pris les repas est au bord de la mangrove où les oiseaux sont nombreux. Le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. L'accueil est adorable.

Notre coup de cœur du voyage, des petites cabanes dans une nature luxuriance face à une mangrove où tout une faune multicolore se pavane. C’est un lieu propice à la contemplation, entouré d’arbres, de paons, d’écureuils. Les hôtes sont charmants, très gentils, et d’excellents cuisiniers ! Le lieu est propre, les lits très grands et confortables. Au centre de ce lieu, une piscine de rêve entourée de bananiers et palmiers avec une vue sur le spectacle qui se joue sur la mangrove.

Etablissement tenu par une famille chaleureuse et très accueillante. Top piscine et coin restaurant donnant sur un étang plein d'oiseaux à observer. La plage est magnifique et à 7 minutes à pied (mais sujette à de fortes vagues). Le seul bémol pour ceux qui aiment se promener le soir, l'hôtel est assez difficile d'accès... mais c'est aussi ce qui fait son charme !!!!

Lovely location! The room was very comfortable and the pool was lovely, with nice views and the gardeb full animals. The family is lovely, and breakfast and lunch and dinner were really tasty. Only minutes away walking from Tangalle Beach, absolutely stunning!!!

Wirklich sehr schöne Unterkunft, toller Pool umgeben von Palmen und Natur! Einer der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Rundreise durch Sri Lanka! Direkt an einem See gelegen. Jeden Tag viele Tiere zu beobachten (Pfau, Affe, Varane…) Ganz tolle liebevolle Familie. Mit dem Tuck Tuck is man in 10 Min. in Tangalle! Ein schöner ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen!

WLAN sehr schwach, Frühstück war 3 Tage lang identisch (als Idee: mal Rotti anstatt Stringhoppers, Dhaal etwas variieren o.ä.), Frühstück und Abendessen haben manchmal sehr sehr lange gedauert aus unklaren Gründen, Außenlichtsensor wäre für die Zimmer oben sehr praktisch ☺

La piscina (aunque no estaba del todo limpia) y el desayuno muy completo.

La habitación a pesar de estar limpia, está llena de cucarachas, que salían y entraban de mis maletas. Para mi que tengo fobia, fue muy muy desagradable. Mientras nos estábamos duchando veía como entraban y salían del espejo del baño. Además, si tu objetivo es ver las tortugas, la ubicación de este alojamiento no es nada buena. Terminamos de ver las tortugas a las 00.30 y casi fue imposible encontrar un tuc tuc de vuelta al hotel. Casi nos quedamos en mitad de la noche tirados con 2 niños, pero al final encontramos un tuk-tuk pero carisimo (a esas horas pidió lo que quiso y le dijimos que si sin dudarlo). Sin duda, me alojaría en un hotel que estuviese cerca de Rekawa Beach (que ví muchos y muy bonitos) para poder volver andando al terminar la visita.

Un très bel emplacement, nous sommes au milieu des animaux et de la végétation, un vrai paradis. La piscine super appréciable Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses, la douche est chaude avec du débit !

Es war die beste Unterkunft, die wir auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise hatten. wunderbar in der Natur an einer Lagune gelegen, toll die Vögel zu beobachten, wunderbarer Pool und die Gastfamilie extrem herzlich und hilfsbereit. Auch extrem kinderfreundlich. unserer Tochter hat es sehr gefallen. Frühstück und Lunch/Dinner auch sehr gut. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

L’emplacement était incroyable au bord d’un lac salé. C’était le lieu de prédilection des oiseaux. Il y avait énormément d’espèces différentes. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et généreux. La responsable et le personnel étaient très agréables. Nous avons apprécié le cadre.

Location is amazing. This tiny hidden gem is situated in a calm and serene place surrounded by lush green and lots of wild animals. The view is truly amazing. Owner Nimmi is going out of her way to make sure you are well looked after specially with her yummy food. We enjoyed our stay here and definitely will come back.

Super fijne rustige locatie, mooi domein. Leuke kamers met aangenaam terras. Wij zaten op de bovenste verdieping met een leuk uitzicht. De locatie is wel wat afgelegen dus eigen vervoer is hier wel meegenomen. Er zijn wel wat restaurants op wandelafstand alsook aan het strand. Fijn zwembad met voldoende schaduw. Restaurant met een aantal sri lankaanse basisrecepten.

Zwemmen aan het strand is hier wel moeilijk. Veel golven en rotsen.

We had a great time at Eagle’s Nest Cabanas. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious. The grounds are truly beautiful – lush greenery, vibrant flora and fauna and a nice pool to relax in. Breakfast was decent, though we had to wait a little while – but in such a peaceful setting, it was easy to just relax and enjoy. Restaurants are within walking distance, which was very convenient.

Beautifully located next to a lagoon. Beautiful garden, pool and balcony are huge plus! So is watching the birds from the breakfast terrace. Try the Srilankan breakfast, was really great! Very kind hosts, supporting me with transportation arrangements and preparing food also at unusual hours. Would definately come back. :-)

The accommodation is a bit remote and closest beach is not really suitable for swimming. However, completely fine if you want to enjoy a bit of calmness.

Very friendly and hospitable owners who live on site, who organised Tuk tuks and taxi. Lovely swimming pool surrounded by beautiful gardens with resident peacocks and other birds. Our room had a lovely balcony at treetop level so we got great closeup views of birds. Restaurant overlooks a lake with kingfisher and bee-eater perches, which if you are a birder is fantastic. Room was clean with efficient a/c. Just under 10 min walk to a lovely long beach with a few beachside restaurants. Waves only for the brave!

Amazing location a short walk from the beach and the on site restaurant had great views over the lake, which was particularly amazing at breakfast. The hospitality and service were great and we wanted for nothing.

Beautiful surroundings, on the edge of a lagoon, so much wildlife, very peaceful and tranquil, lovely helpful host, always smiling. Great breakfast and evening meal.

If you wanted peace and quiet, it was perfect but if you wanted some other options for diner, it was a 15 minute tuktuk ride into Tangalle. A fridge in the room would have been very much appreciated.

Wow!!! This garden, pool and restaurant is so nice decorated and beautiful!! Absolutely lovely!

Delightful location just off a lake a 8 minute walk to the beach. A little walk (45 mins or 10 min tuktuk) to Tangalle centre. The rooms were lovely and the pool was delightful as you can’t swim in the sea here currently (I think plans are in place to make a safe swimming area at the beach). The family that run the guesthouse are so friendly, warm and welcoming. The food they cook is all fresh and super delicious. It’s so nice having breakfast in the morning overlooking the lake and watching the birds, same with dinner in the evening.

Paradise. Wonderful hotel owner. Very tasty food. Clean, comfortable rooms, with a comfortable bathroom. Very beautiful, green, well-groomed area.

At night there was a problem with noise from the air conditioner on the outside wall. The hostess said that they did not know about it and communicated to correct it.

The location was great, the service very friendly and helpful. The pool was cleaned every morning and the garden was extremely well maintained and made us feel like we were cohabitating with the peacocks, parrots and squirrels! the sunset was great from the patio, and the dinners were very tasty! The room was pretty confortable and very well decorated with so much taste! loved the wooden furniture and the bathroom was very spacious.

the breakfasts were very disappointing as it was just butter jam and toasts. The juices or fruit platters saved the day however! Lastly, we felt like we were overcharged for the laundry and it didn’t smell clean after…

Great accomodation! Nice and clean rooms. The pool for our little son was perfekt. The area is calm and the view on the lake was awesome. Breakfast and dinner were very good. To the beach it's only about 5-10min walk. To the city it is about 15min ride per tuktuk. Friendly staff.

The place was peaceful, garden very well maintained and the swimming pool clean - great place to stay if you want to just relax. Beach available within few minutes walk. Owners were super helpful and polite. Overall the entire stay was really pleasant. Thank you! :)

Tranquility. Cleanliness. Friendliness of the host. Outdoor swimming pool was great fun for our children. Lake is abundant with birds and parrots and it's a pleasure to watch them.

Not too many things to do in the area except sleep-rest-relax. If you plan to go out be ready that there is a good distance to go from the main road.

The location is super peaceful and quiet, lots of animals right by the lagoon. 7 mins away from the beach. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I got stung by a jelly fish and got offered Aloe Vera right away which really helped me a lot. The breakfast and food in general is homemade and super super tasty. The coffee was also pretty good. I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a super quiet and peaceful timeout to just relax and enjoy being surrounded by all kinds of peaceful animals.

We had a great time in Eagles Nest. The cabanas are located close to the ocean but far away from the city centre - for me a huge advantage, as I t was perfect to relax ✨ The rooms are clean and spacious, with AC and big bed. Houses are surrounded by greenery and you can watch the birds while eating in the restaurant - lovely thing. The pool is well maintained. We would stay there again for sure.

We couldn’t catch the wi fi and the water is dependant on solar energy, it is quite common on Sri Lanka, but be prepared 😊

Bedding wasn't that comfortable

I loved my stay here, what a lovely family, who went above and beyond for me! My balcony was huge, the pool was perfect, and the breakfast was wonderful. The beach is a short walk away.

I got lost in the dark coming back from the beach...Google maps doesn't direct you to Eagle's Nest, and it's not so clearly signposted, just a note to others!

This place was the peaceful tropical paradise that I was looking for. The room was simple but clean ( no bugs!) and with A/c and a large comfortable bed, it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Each room has a large private balcony from which you view the amazing bird life and playful squirrels. The large pool is clean and beautifully refreshing. Nimmie and her family could not be more helpful and attentive. She cooked anything I wanted and always greeted me with a warm smile and a cold beer! When the time came for me to leave she arranged for my transport back to Colombo and to the airport.

Beautiful setting, surrounded by nature. Only five minutes walk to the beach. The swimming pool was amazing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and helped us with transport for our onward journey. Breakfast was very tasty and filling. Probably our favourite place to stay in our two weeks travelling Sri Lanka. Excellent value for money and highly recommend.

Nothing, it was perfect!

We loved the nature, there are peacocks and parrots around, which was amazing, the views are stunning and the owners are so kind! We stayed in a room upstairs and we had the most wonderful view from our balcony. The beach is a very short walk away. We loved it here and we didn’t want to leave.

The most beautiful and best accommodation I could choose for the last days of my stay in Sri Lanka. The environment is amazing, a beautiful green garden, the restaurant overlooks the lagoon with lots of birds. The room is spacious, clean, with air conditioning. And the pool is a pleasant refreshment on hot days. The hosts are very nice and willing to help. I highly recommend it.

The hotel really is in the middle of the paradise. There are a lot of birds to watch and it is the perfect place to relax. The staff was super nice. The pool was super clean.

The wifi was weak. There was a bit of mold in our room (around the AC). The food was not that great.

The rooms are beautiful and the family who runs it will do anything to make you feel at home. The swimmingpool has a beautiful view and they have a small restaurant where they will make you a lovely dinner. The area is quiet, so this is a nice place to relax. There are some beautiful beaches, but you need a tuktuk to get there.

Our stay at Eagle's Nest Cabanas in Tangalle from June 9th to June 12th, 2024, was nothing short of spectacular. This family-run gem, with only six rooms, offered us a truly personal and heartwarming experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by some of the friendliest and most caring people we’ve met in Sri Lanka. Their genuine hospitality made our stay exceptional. The breakfast options were delightful, catering to diverse tastes with three choices: a hearty English breakfast, a flavorful Sri Lankan breakfast, and the delicious Coconut Roti with various accompaniments. Each morning was a culinary treat, setting a perfect start to our day. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, standing out from many other accommodations we've experienced in Sri Lanka and Asia. It was well-equipped with ample storage – a large bookcase, two wall units, a shelf, and conveniently placed plug sockets on either side of the massive bed. This thoughtful setup made it easy to keep our belongings organized and accessible. The bathroom was excellent, with a well-functioning shower that offered both hot and normal water options. After a day of exploring, it was refreshing to have such a reliable and relaxing shower. The pool area was a serene haven. Though the water was quite warm, it was lovely to sit by and unwind. The entire property, from the rooms to the pool to the beautifully tended gardens, was spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained. Eagle's Nest Cabanas also offered a small but diverse menu, and we were pleased to learn that the owner was more than willing to custom-make dishes to suit our preferences. This flexibility and willingness to accommodate our tastes added a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. Our stay was incredibly relaxing, and we left feeling rejuvenated and well-cared-for. Nothing, all was perfect.

We had a lovely stay at Eagles nest cabanas. Our room had a really nice view over the swimming pool and lake. It is so peaceful and quiet, watching the birds and peacocks. Furthermore, the staff is extremely friendly and arranged a scooter and taxi for us. We extended 2 more nights because we loved it so much here.

Amazing stay! Fully recommend booking this guesthouse. Owners go out of their way and are very friendly. Food was excellent. Location is incredible.

Best place to stay at Sri Lanka. With loving host and her family. You can see lots of animals during your stay at restaurant, food is always homemade and amazing. Beach is 5 min walk. Our host help us manage scooter rent, massage and many more.

Fantastic position by the lagoon. You can keep cool in the pool whilst watching the amazing wildlife on the lagoon and the surrounding jungle. Wonderful service always with a smile. Wouldn't hesitate to come back here.

In a beautiful setting with peacocks and lots of other birds and wild life in the garden. The swimming pool was a welcome bonus and perfect for children. The breakfast was really delicious and very generous. The staff where very friendly and helpful.

Compared to other accommodations in Sri Lanka this one was definitely the best one. The owner is very helpful. We had our few shares of issues and she was able to solve them all. Breakfast was tasty and there were multiple options.

The path to the beach is not very nice. The bed in our room was a bit squeaky, but nothing disrupting. We had upstairs room and in the night and early morning there were birds landing on the roof and making banging noise.

Location is lovely on side of the lagoon and close to beach, very relaxing, lots of birds to watch and can go see turtles on beach hatching. Breakfast was decent.

Mattress uncomfortable, thin foam mattress, doesn’t match the quality of rest of furniture in room. Also the woman who runs it not the friendliest, she was rude to my friend who was picking me up. Also the dinners aren’t the best.

Very calm place, lots of birds, squirrels, great pool, very pleasant owners. I really didn't want to leave this hotel. Thank you very much, it was a wonderful stay. I recommend this hotel

wi-fi does not work very well in hotel room, but works in restaurant. And we had a mobile internet, so it was not the problem for us

The accommodation is on the shore of the lake, a delight if you like birds. The room is equipped with everything you need, except for a refrigerator, but we knew that in advance, which did not bother us. You can relax in the guesthouse in front of the room where you have a terrace, in the restaurant or at the pool - I chose the guesthouse to laze by the pool for a few days, an excellent choice. I had dinner there, the food is super tasty, I recommend it and I would come back anytime.

Wifi only worked in the restaurant area, not in the room.
