Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Beautiful location. The tagine was delicious and the rooms were comfortable. The owner gave us great recommendations for visiting the monkey fingers and also a road through the mountains to Tinghir. Would highly recommend.

Reviewed May 20, 2026We are traveling on motorcycle and they have a private garage where you can safely park it, which was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, we also had a great dinner in the hotel. They also have a great terrace with the view.
The only downside were really hard pillows and synthetic bed linen.

Unglaubliche Lage mit 360 Grad Aussicht von der Dachterrasse, hoch über dem Tal. Nahe der berühmten Schlucht " Monkey-Finger's" Sehr gutes Essen.

Un garage intérieur immense et un hôtel restaurant fabuleux ! Moustafa nous a accueillis avec une extrême gentillesse. D une discrétion exemplaire toujours la pour rendre notre etape merveilleuse. La vue du Rooftop est grandiose ! Amis motards c est ici qu'il faut s arrêter !

Reviewed May 4, 2026Ottima per i motociclisti, hanno garage a 50 mt chiuso e capiente. Consiglio parcheggia sotto il cartello, scendi 50mt a piedi e poi il proprietario ti farà mettere la moto nel garage. Cena sulla terrazza stupenda. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimo wi-fi.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026Tranquîle, confortable et propre. Plusieurs terrasses et salles repas et lecture disponibles. Comme l'hébergement est situé sur un promontoire, la vue est superbe. Personnel sympatique. Excellent ́petit déjeuner. On y mange bien aussi le soir (100 MAD/pp)
Un petit peu difficile a trouver. Il faut prendre une petite sente et suivre les panneaux indiquant "Citadelle". Citadelle Gorges s'appelait auparavant Riad Dades.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026We zijn niet blijven overnachten. Toegangspad was te stijl en onregelmatig om de 150 mtr.te lopen, voor ons. ( ouder stel). Eigenaar heeft wel geholpen een andere lokatie te vinden. Dat was goed, maar de vervangende plek was waardeloos.
Zie boven, heb zelf voor de volgende dag, een beterege,ochtend. Kan dus niet echt de accomodatie beoordelen.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026The views from the balcony were absolutely stunning — every room had its own little balcony, and some terraces even offered a full 360-degree panorama, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or breakfast. The food was among the best we had in all of Morocco — truly delicious. The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond, arranging an early-morning guided hike to the monkey fingers exactly as we requested, sharing fascinating myths and stories about the area. The riad was quiet, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It also had a wonderfully authentic feel — not touristy at all — and we practically had the place to ourselves, which made the warm hospitality from the owners feel even more special.

Reviewed Jan 11, 2026Historische Unterkunft mit phänomenaler Aussicht, ebenfalls aus meinem Zimmer. Die Dachterrasse ist super, der Rundumblick auf die Berge und das Dades-Tal herrlich. Das Abendessen hat geschmeckt, das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Der Empfang und der Service waren top. Die Lage ist gut, auch um das Tal zu erkunden. Mit dem Auto sind die Monkey Fingers und die berühmte Serpentine sehr gut erreichbar.
Leider war es Anfang Januar sehr kalt und die Räume kaum geheizt.

La famiglia di proprietari è di una gentilezza disarmante, si prendono moltissima cura dei loro ospiti. Ottime sia la cena che la colazione. Se cercate una sistemazione di grande raffinatezza, non è questo il posto giusto, ma il clima di cordialità che si respira alla Citadelle Gorge l'ho provato poche volte nei miei tanti viaggi. Consigliatissima.

Rien. Juste bien être conscient que si vous n’êtes pas motorisé, il faudra prendre des bus collectifs pour vous rendre aux divers points d’intérêt (monkey Fingers par exemple)

L’accès au Riad et le stationnement n’était pas facile, il faudrait améliorer les indications. Le lit de notre chambre était trop dur et il manquait de la literie convenable et plus propre.

Not clear where to park the car and not many spaces available. Dinner was expensive, small portions and not tasty. Recommend eating elsewhere although town is 15 min+ drive away along very narrow and winding road. We booked two nights and were asked to change rooms without giving a reason on second day which annoying as we had to pack up our bags.

Breakfast is served in a super beautiful room with a windowfront that shows a great panoramic view. Parking is just at the street and for free.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2025The family of the hotel was extremely friendly, the food was excellent. We stayed 5 nights there, and were asked each morning what our preference for dinner would be. Nice terrace and eating room with excellent views over the valley. Clearly recomendable.

Reviewed Mar 10, 2025As to be seen on pictures. Nice location, great view, beautiful roof top terasse. Breakfast was amazing! Huge variety with coffee, tea, eggs, bread and more. Very tentative Hosts. We had dinner twice and the selection and food was great, the price was also very fair!

Reviewed Oct 16, 2024Spectacular view of the Dadès Valley and surrounding landscape. Comfortable, spacious room with view from the balcony. Friendly helpful staff. Very affordable. Good for a short stay in the beautiful Dadès Valley.
Room could use some updates. Odour from plumbing. Path to property a bit precarious & had to use alternate route upon departure.

Air conditioning not working and room very hot. Asked for an alternative room and informed air conditioning not working in other bedrooms either. Bread was stale at breakfast.

Breakfast was basic. No variety. One staff member helpful others vey distant. Food store brought not fresh. Dinners average. Too far to walk to any restaurants.
