Reviewed Aug 23, 2026We really loved the perfect location on the river it was so peaceful and picturesque. The town was quaint and Duiske Abbey an unexpected gem. We walked a little along the river but time ran short and would have liked to have gone further, maybe next time! Our room was full of character overlooking the river and bridge. The staff were excellent and check in easy. We had lunch which was very tasty.
Not really a dislike we arrived on a day that didn't serve evening meals and would have chosen that option TV struggled to maintain reception but wasn't an issue

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026It's a lovely old building in a perfect location. From our window we could look out at the houseboats on the Barrow . The breakfast was a bit different and plentiful and the staff were very sweet and attentive.
A minor problem is the lack of elevator. As we were on the first floor up we were okay with that but it would be a problem for physically challenged.

Nettes kleines Städtchen mit einigen pubs. am ende der Strasse nahe des Rudervereins steht ein mobiler Pizzabäcker. sehr lecker. Das Waterside guesthouse hat charme und seinen eigenen Stil. das Frühstück war bezaubernd und sehr lecker

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026L’hôtel est magnifique, au bord de l’eau. Une petite plage à quelques mètres , une petite randonnée à proximité avec des passages sur des pontons. Une ville très calme, c’est très reposant .
L’équipement est parfait , la chambre familiale est grande. Le personnel est agréable et serviable. Nous avons pris le repas du soir qui a été excellent, et le petit déjeuner incroyable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Very pretty location next to canal with several easy walks nearby, including next to the canal. Lovely canal view from our room on 2nd floor. No lift but easy quick access considering.

Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, così come tutto il resto dello staff: abbiamo trovato un'accoglienza davvero calorosa e persone squisite. La nostra camera era molto pulita e spaziosa . Ci torneremo sicuramente!

Tiny issue is breakfast starts very late (830) so missed it. Not an issue with the accomm but graignamanagh is sadly declining, nowhere to get food on a bank holiday Monday. Buildings boarded up, pubs closed.

Very minor, but hot water out of tap in bathroom sink was scalding hot. Same in shower but at least there was a mixer on the shower to bring the temp down.

Reviewed May 27, 2026Wonderful location about 30 minutes outside of Kilkenny I. Kilkenny County. The staff were lovely and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The kids loved going for a swim in the river that was literally right out the front door, and walking a bit of the monks trail.
They had to save our butts when we missed the short check-in window. Be mindful that check-in ends at 5pm.

No plan for late arrival, doors locked and reception closed. Only recourse is a phone number posted outside but we had not set up cell service yet in Ireland. Critical to pre arrange a system to get into your room.
