A casa e o quarto eram confortáveis. A zona comum é muito agradável e é disponibilizado um espaço onde é possível preparar pequenas refeições, o que é uma boa opção nos dias em que não há muita coisa aberta na ilha. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos, respondem rapidamente e acederam ao nosso pedido de esperar dentro da casa após o check-out por causa da chuva intensa. A localização é ótima, estando a uma distância a pé curta do principal bairro da ilha. A casa fornece várias informações sobre a ilha. Recomendo.

As bicicletas que têm para aluguer (pelo menos as normais, que escolhemos) estão em mau estado, com falta de manutenção, o que as torna difíceis de utilizar com facilidade. O quarto onde estivemos tinha um espelho que imitia uma luz de presença demasiado forte, que impedia que o quarto estivesse completamente escuro durante a noite.

On s’est senti comme à la maison, dans une belle maison avec une superbe vue. L’hôte est adorable.

Beautiful property, very cozy and warm.

The only downside is the walk up to the property, it is a very steep slope up and down, if you have a lot of luggage it’s very difficult to navigate and will take quite a bit of effort.

I like that it looks like traditional japanese house rather than a modern one. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. It is a very comfortable stay.

It’s quite hilly so taking the bicycle up the property was pretty challenging.

La guest house est très agréable à vivre, les espaces communs sont confortables et très bien décoré. L’endroit est au calme, nichée en hauteur de Honmura. Proche de nombreux sites artistiques dz Naoshima.

清潔感のあるお宿でした。特に水回りは気になるところですが、とてもきれいにしていました。

Gezellige ruime gedeelde ruimte met een drietal aparte 4-persoons kamers, prima uitvalbasis voor 1 of 2 nachten om Naoshima te ontdekken. Er zijn electrische fietsen te huur direct bij de accommodatie.

De badkamers zijn wel prive maar liggen in de algemene ruimtes, maar dat is niet heel vervelend. Keukentje is erg basic met alleen tosti-ijzer, waterkoker en een magnetron

L'accueil, la gentillesse de Johnny, ses conseils. Comme un petit cocon. On peut cuisiner (utile car dîner le soir à Honmura n'est pas si facile....) Idéal pour visiter Naoshima et Teshima.

Rien vraiment. Tout était parfait. La côte est rude pour arriver mais on ne peut pas niveler le terrain!

This was a lovely guesthouse set high on a hill is the small village of Honmura. It was a short walk from the port and the Art House Projects as well as the Naoshima New Museum of Art. It was a 10-15 minute e-bike ride to the Benesse Museums, the beach or Myanmoura Port. We hired our e-bikes and helmets from the property and they were easy to use and worked well up the fairly challenging hills. Our room was large and comfortable and there was also a very stylish lounge which we could use as well as kitchen facilities. Very grateful to the hosts for the loan of the e-bikes, for allowing us to store our cases there for most of the day we left and also for excellent restaurant suggestions and for booking us a table at one of those restaurants.

The main issue is that the private toilet and sink are across a common area and the shower was through the lounge and kitchen. The shower was quite small so that did mean walking across common areas in a towel as difficult to change inside. I was terribly worried about the short steep slope but in reality whilst it is very steep it is also very short and was easily manageable with our suitcases in the evening. However, on a hot day, getting the e-bike back to the top of the hill was quite hard work for this 60 year old!

I have a medium-big size luggage. It was quite a trouble to drag it up hill. I have sore waist prior the day. I think you better inform us, incase of old adult guests. Also the blanket was strange, they are like a this mattresses. I didn't use it, i use towel instead.

Wow just wow! Naoshima is my favorite place in Japan after this trip

The property is on an incline. Short, but prepare yourself to push your luggage up. Wish I was younger or had brought a better suitcase with better wheels

The property is nestled in a bamboo forest. I loved hearing all the birds and just being in a welcoming setting. I liked the steep hike every evening to the hotel. The beds are super comfy.

I wish they had bidet toilets

Très bien situé sur l île proche de musées, du port. Nous avons loué des vélos ce qui a encore plus facilité nos déplacements L endroit est accessible par une côte un peu raide mais faisable. Le lieu est un petit cocon où il est bon d être La décoration est très sympa La chambre est grande et la literie confortable Les hôtes ont été très accueillants et présents lorsque nous avons eu besoin

Heel smaakvol en prachtig gelegen in mooie tuin. Ruime slaapkamer en in de gemeenschappelijke ruimte overal plek om lekker te zitten. Je kon zelf thee/ koffie/ noodles maken.

Steep climb

Det var dejlig nemt at kommunikere med personalet med whatsapp. De er virkelig søde og hjælpsomme. Stedet er ret unikt og meget hyggeligt. Man føler sig med det samme hjemme. Gode muligheder for at tilberede lidt mad selv. Værelset var stort og hyggeligt. Sengen var god. De e-bikes man kunne booke var fantastiske og gjorde hele min korte tur på naoshima meget nemmere. Og så er det en magisk oplevelse at cykle rundt på naoshima.

Certes la montée est ardue mais une fois sur place la vue est belle, la maison d’hôtes très agréable. J’ai beaucoup aimé l’ambiance. Possibilité de louer des vélos est aussi très appréciable. Notre hôte nous a conseillé et réservé un resto dans le village pour le soir. Tout était très bien

アートが楽しめるのと、本村地区のアクセスがしやすく、散策が楽しめました。共用スペースもありますが、必要な部分は分けられているので安心でした。

居心地がとてもよかったです。とても清潔だと思いました。思い出の絵を描くスペースがあって、絵を描くのが楽しかったです。

細い坂の道の上にあるので、車で近くまで行けない。駐車場は歩いて5分かかるので、荷物が多いと大変。。

Accueil souriant et conseils sur la restauration autour rare. Conseil : le Café Salon Nakaoku excellent et sympatique à 300m(Réserver). Nous avions pris une chambre avec toilettes et douche privatives. Coin kitchenette et salon commun. Possible louer vélos mais la visite des musées est facile aussi à pied (1/2 aller par chemin ou bus)

Attention : Evitez les valises ou prenez le ferry Uno-Honmachi plutôt que Uno-Miyanoura car les bus navettes peuvent être saturés. Pour aller à l'hôtel à partir du port , traverser le village (ruelles peu "roulantes") et pour finir escalader la pente raide pour arriver à la maison. Conseil: laisser les valises aux "coin lockers" de la gare d'Uno (ou Okayama)

Zeer kunstzinnige inrichting van de gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Wandelafstand van de ferry ( als je de juiste neemt) uit alles blijkt dat deze jonge ondernemers hun ziel steken in hun project en dat stemt je als gast blij.

The small guest house (3 rooms) is somewhat quirky, but it allowed us to stay on Naoshima (where there are limited reasonably priced accommodations). The hosts were friendly and took care of making excellent dinner reservations for us during our stay.

Though manageable, the shower for our unit was a short walk through the kitchen area.

Cosy house with a beautiful view, plenty of facilities. We enjoyed the rented bikes to tour around the island, you can easily do the steep slopes around the Benesse area with them. We enjoyed the art, also inside the house.

The town itself is a bit sleepy and you have to make sure to reserve a restaurant for dinner. To get to the entrance, the slope is indeed steep, but quite short and in return you get an amazing view. The beds are not as soft as we are used to in our country. You share the house with other guests and walls are not sound proof. We did not have problems with this as other guests were really respectful.

Location and quiteness of the place. Very friendly staff helped to get us there easily and to provide all information to get around Naoshima confortably.

Nothing comes to mind.

Location of place was on a hill and so had a beautiful view from its windows. We liked the size of our room, as unlike most hotel rooms, we had space to lay our suitcases on the floor and open them. In the common area, they had had a toaster oven and microwave to heat up any food that you buy. There was also a fridge to store any food that you buy requiring refrigeration.

Bathroom (toilets and showers) are separate from your room. We had room A and so our toilet was right across the hall from our room. The sink to wash our hands was outside of the toilet, but in an area where people enter the Bamboo Village Guest House and so don't be surprised if people are coming in the entrance behind you while you are brushing your teeth! Likewise, our shower was at the opposite end of the entrance to the building, so you have to go through the sitting area, kitchen and sinks for other guests to get to your shower. It actually isn't as bad, as we initially thought, as you do get used to it. The other 2 rooms that we could see in the guest house have showers, closer to their rooms. As well, for those with mobility issues, it may be a bit of a hike to come up the driveway to get to the guest house. Again, after a few days, you will get use to it!

Beautiful cozy guesthouse overlooking Naoshima. A bit of an adventure to get up the hill, but so worth it! Cozy beds, nice facilities. So close to the Art houses and E-bike rental was great for the other museums. Would 100% come back! Thank you! ありがとうございます

Characterful building. Lovely host who was happy to make restaurant bookings for us. Room was a good size. Easy walk to the port and project houses, somecrestaurants, grocery store etc.

Bathroom was so tight almost not functional. LEDs all over the room, had to unplug everything. Shared kitchen not well set up with utensils etc, ā little meagre.

Very clean, very cosy, beautiful views, friendly staff, well located, easy to get around thw island from. Nice quiet rooms! Amazing water pressure in the showers! Snacks, food and beer available from the common areas.

Mattresses are fairly thin

Good location to town. A few restaurants. Very helpful host with recommendations especially for dinner (thank you for the warning to reserve in advance). I had a room with private shower - was tiny but functional.

The walk to the property from the street may be a bit challenging for some or if they have luggage as it is very steep.

Everything about this guest house was great! The staff are so kind and helpful. The room and shared space was comfortable. The staff gave us recommendations for restaurants and was available immediately when we arrived earlier than expected. The area is so lovely, the fairy lights outside the property and the decor in the living room were so cute!

What a unique and exceptional place to stay! We were a family group of 9, and it was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, and beautiful art pieces everywhere. Great staff, with great communication. Location is amazing. Walkable to any restaurant or museum in Honmura.

Es ist um wunderschönes kleines Haus mit netter Atmosphäre und einem schönem Zimmer, leider etwas kühl und das Bad/WC so eng - kaum möglich sich irgendwie zu bewegen. Es hat sicher viel japanisches, was ich sehr mag. Leider muss man/frau den Weg zum Haus ziemlich hochsteigen, etwas schwierig und sehr unbequem. Sicherlich keine Unterkunft für ältere aber noch fitte Frauen oder Männer. Leider gab es im Ort keine Möglichkeit zu essen oder auch einzukaufen. Das guesthouse bietet leider auch garnichts an!!! Nett, aber die Umstände am 25. Dezember eher sehr schlecht und für mich nicht gerade gastfreundlich. Alles okay - ich musste wegen eines Unfalls direkt „hungrig“ wieder abreisen. Ich liebe Naoshima, komme zurück, aber sicherlich nicht an diesen Platz!! Für mich ist das eine ehrliche Bewertung.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bamboo Village Guest house. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It was in a great location for exploring the excellent art galleries on Noashima. I highly recommend it.

とにかく清潔でした そして、いたる所にアートがあって直島感満載でしたよ お値段もリーズナブル⭕️ とても寛げました

車のナビに頼って暗くなって行ったのですが、ナビに従って道路を上がろうとしたら“通行止め”の表示がありました 宿に連絡すると「狭いのでそこから荷物を運んでから近くの駐車場に停めませんか」とのこと ⁇⁇でも荷物を運ぶには宿は遠いようだし、大きな道路際にいるので車も停めておけないよ で、教えていただいた駐車場に停めて荷物を抱えて坂を歩いたけれど辿り着かないー😢 で、スマホの地図を見ると・・・新美術館への坂を上がってた!! かなり遠回りして予定より遅れて到着しましたが、スタッフの方はあたたかく迎えてくださいました 有難うー 翌朝、バンブービレッジへの案内板が道路にあるのを発見👀 夜の車じゃ気付かなかった!! ナビで行かれる方は気をつけてくださいね

Staff gave restaurant suggestions and called to make a reservation - both restaurants were very good. Our room was clean and it was quiet.

It’s a steep climb to get to the property - not a problem if you don’t have physical limitations, but could be if you do.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr schön, obschon es steil den Han hochgeht😅 Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend👍

Les futons de notre chambre étaient posés sur des lits à ressorts en mauvais état! Heureusement il y avait la place pour dormir par terre. La pente pour arriver à l’accueil : impossible pour moi de monter ma valise mais notre hôte est venu les chercher en voiture !

Great location, 5 minute walk to the Naoshima New Museum of Art and other art installations. Rented an ebike from them and was able to get to the attractions on the either side of the island. The house is located in a quiet area. It was nice to have a kitchen available to make tea and a nice living room to lounge with other guests. The staff was always quick to answer any questions.

The room had a damp smell. And though the room was supposed to have a private toilet and shower outside the room other guests used the shower too. It should be clear to all guests that only one shower/toilet is assigned per room.

We liked the homely character, the lovely surrounding garden. The owner was very helpful, booked us a restaurant before arrival and was thorough in his welcome to the guest house.

The distance between the bedroom and the shower was a little too far.

We were given a room with en-suite bath, which we ReALLY appreciated. it was nice to get all the towels for our 3 day stay at once, no need for housekeeping. Renting bikes at the property was very convenient.

There wasn’t a table with reasonable chairs to eat at, the tiny table in our room could barely hold coffee and yogurt. It would have been nice to get acquainted with other travelers over breakfast, as we did at other guest houses. Shopping options and getting access to food on the island are VERY limited, we would have liked to have been warned to buy stuff BEFORE getting on the ferry, not when we arrived at the property and were far from 7-11. We were not told about the COOP where we could also shop. Restaurants are few, close early, and some don’t operate every day - and many require reservations. It wld have been helpful to have been given the QR code for local restaurants to make things easier - instead we found out about this on our own at the end of our trip. The driveway is VERY steep - as they warned.

バスを降りてから地元の方にバンブーハウスまでの道を訊ねたときに『いいところにあっていい宿だよ』と言われました。 高まる期待を胸にバンブーハウスに向かいました。口コミにあった心臓破りの坂には参りましたが、ロケーションがとても良かったです。 アート作品が所々にあるところも、直島らしさがあって楽しめました。部屋は全体的に可愛くまとまっていました。 特に良かったのはオーナーさんがとても親切なところです！チェックインの時にこちらの質問全てに対して丁寧にプラスαの情報まで教えてくれました。 おかげでスムーズにアート作品巡りができました。夜ご飯の予約を相談したら、お店に予約してくださいました。ありがとうございました！
