Lovely place to stay! Surrounded by cute plants and greenery, tucked away in a quiet kampung. It feels peaceful, cosy and homey. The host was super friendly and welcoming too.

It’s a little far from the beach, but honestly not too bad. I still enjoyed my morning walks there and there are a few roadside stalls and warungs along the way where you can grab breakfast or afternoon snacks.

We had the most amazing experience at Pondok Keladi Guesthouse. The owner, Dee, was unbelievably kind and accommodating, he gave us a tour around the local area so we know what is where which was a lovely touch. The Cottage was very cosy and spacious and the property itself was beautiful within the jungle. The location was perfect, It was very easy to get around, you can hire a Moped/car or Grab cars come right into the property. I would 100% recommend when visiting Langkawi.

We LOVED that the property is tucked away in the jungle. Dee was a fantastic host; they kindly drove us around upon checking in so show us the local area and organised both Mangrove tour and moped hire for us.

Nothing! The only thing to note is that a scooter made things a lot easier to nip around in the heat (main “strip” and beach is about 30 min walk away, which we didn’t mind at all).

We loved absolutely everything about our stay, perfect for nature lovers and people who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Cenang beach but still be quite close to it (still we recommend to rent a scooter). The owner is very nice and attentive. He will not only show you around but also resolve any issue and make you feel welcome. The room was clean and spacious with everything you need.

Whenever we plan to visit Langkawi again, this will definitely be the place we stay. Everything is clean and lovely. Special thanks to Mr. Dee, who is the absolute nicest person - he showed us around and can arrange any tour or look into any activity you might be interested in.

Great location in a secluded area right on the edge of the jungle, 5 minutes from the beach. Dee, the owner, was amazing, showing us around the local area when we arrived, helping us organise tours and just extremely friendly and accommodating!!

Dee was great. Greeted me as soon as I arrived and took us on a short drive (help know where everything is). Plus I was able to rent a scooter to explore more of the island during my stay.

This was a last minute addition to my trip through Malaysia. Just sad I couldn't stay longer on the island.

Prostředí je trochu dobrodružné. Je nutné počítat s tím, že se setkáte s opicemi, varany, gekony, žábami, šváby apod. Ubytování je praktické, dostačující. Hostitel je ochotný.

Trochu nás zaskočilo, že dům, kde jsme měli být ubytovaní, se nedal zamykat a byl cítit zatuchlinou. Hostitel ale obratem tuto situaci vyřešil a nabídl nám jiný dům.

We loved the location of the property, the staff where awesome and the tour of the local area very much appreciated. The Daily Animal Show was awesome, im referring to the animals passing by in the jungle. My favourite part was the 3 cats daily visits.

The room didn't have a clean for 5 days and due to being in the jungle the Gecko poo was everywhere. Just needed a bit of TLC.

i like how it is giving the village/kampung vibes that is different from where i’m from. it is decorated beautifully and well maintained. The common area is such a nice place to relax and decompress before resting in your own room.

A little walk from the main road, walking at night was a lil creepy but it was safe.

Quelques cacas de gecko dans la chambre (tout de suite nettoyé quand on a signalé) et à savoir des petites fourmis se promènent dans la salle de bain (normal dans ces habitations !)

Zoveel om op te sommen. 1) De gastheer Dee: hij heeft ons van in het begin welkom doen voelen. Hij heeft ons bij aankomst een warme rondleiding gegeven op zijn domein (keuken, open living,…) en heeft een korte rondrit met de auto gegeven, om ons al wat wegwijs te maken aan de Westkust van Langkawi. Hij gaf info mee van lekkere eetplekjes tot warmaanbevolen activiteiten die er te doen waren op Langkawi. Hij heeft een fijn netwerk aan lokale contacten waardoor hij ons geholpen heeft om een brommer te fixen, en heeft een private tour geregeld voor de Mangrovetour. Ook de hulp en bruikbare info werd zeer gewaardeerd hoe we onze volgende trip naar Ko Lipe moesten regelen: visa, om welk uur aan de ferry zijn en cash geld meenemen. Daarnaast kwam hij over op ons als een attente man, die zijn gasten echt thuis laat voelen. 2) De ligging: uitstekende ligging om Langkawi te ontdekken! Een plek dicht tegen een bos, waardoor je ging slapen en wakkerwerd met natuurgeluiden. Met de bijhorende aapjes die op het dak eens durven komen :) 3) Het bed (!): één van de beste slaaplogementen dat we tot nu toe gehad hebben ! Het bed was groot (kingsize) en eerder naar de hardere kant maar was een droom om in te slapen. 4) Esthetiek van het logement: alles was piekfijn ingericht, streling voor het oog en proper! Het is een mengeling van Maleisische en Balinese stijl. We hadden een eigen terrasje om ‘s avonds nog iets te drinken maar je kan ook evengoed in de prachtige open living ruimte ‘s avonds genieten. 5) privacy: we voelden ons echt op het gemak, in die zin dat we ons eigen ding konden doen en zeer voldoende ook op ons eigen konden zijn Mochten we ooit nog eens Langkawi komen, kiezen we resoluut terug voor Dee’s plekje.

The house is located next to a forest, lovely green foliage with monkeys and squirrels to keep you entertained! Close to Cenang beach, in my view the best location. There were 3 spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living room, dinning room and large kitchen! So lovely! The feel of the home was one of incredible peace and calm. We thoroughly enjoyed this home! Please rememberer that being next to the forest there may be an ant or two and some bugs but the geckos keep you entertained and the property is incredible! Can’t wait to return!

Toller Bungalow mit allem was wir brauchten. Super schöne ruhige Anlage mit schönem Gemeinschaftsbereich! Freundlicher und lieber Gastgeber!

Gemütliche Zimmer schön mitten in der Natur. Es ist zwar ein Stückchen vom Strand entfernt, mit dem Roller oder Grab aber absolut machbar. Dafür hat man auch seine Ruhe im Hotel. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und hat uns mit dem Auto noch ein bisschen die Gegend gezeigt (Weg zum Strand, Hotels, etc.)

Leider war es nicht ganz so sauber. Wir hatten sehr viel Mäusekot im Haus (nicht im Schlafzimmer)

The best thing about this place is Dee, the owner. Easily the most helpful host I have ever met. Before we even arrived he had arranged our onward ferry to koh lipe. On arrival he took us on a mini tour of the area, pointing out the best restaurants, cheapest shops and bars, and generally making sure we knew where to go. On top of that he's just a great friendly guy who made us feel welcome and part of the family. He felt like an old friend instantly. The accommodation was stylish and comfortable. Huge bed, good bathroom, well appointed kitchen and outside seating area. The location is a few minutes away from the beach, on the edge of the jungle, so is very peaceful and has a pleasant rural feel. As our stay was short we used Grab to get us intense centre, average wait was 5 minutes. If we had stayed longer we would have got a scooter, which, no doubt, Dee would have arranged for us, no fuss, no bother. All in all a magnificent experience, and one we hope to repeat next year, only for longer.

Amazing guesthouse in a secluded, lush, green area. You enter the premises and feel instantly relaxed. The rooms are great, spacious, and amazing price-value. D is an excellent host and helpful whenever needed!

Secluded location. At the foothills of a nearby forested area. The common area offers a hippie/mystic feel. It is a great place to relax and work (if you are a remote worker). It is advisable to own a scooter if you travel out frequently as there are no nearby convenience stores. There are few eateries at about 500 meters from the property.

Tout ! Dee est le meilleur hôte possible sa guesthouse est charmante ! En pleine nature. Chambres spacieuses propres et confortables. J étais venu la première fois l’année passée et cette année sans nul doute je suis revenu ! Et mon séjour a été encore meilleur. La localisation est parfaite aussi. Je pourrai chercher longtemps mai il N y a rien de négatif à dire. Je ne peux que recommander à tout le monde de séjourner chez lui. Je reviendrai c’est certain :)

Our host Dee was super friendly and helpful, helped us rent a scooter and was really resourceful on what to do and see on the island. We appreciated the privacy and the amenities the apartment provided. Cheeky monkeys gave us laughs after they stole our cookies we forgot outside. Watch out!

Lovely room in nature, looks exactly like the photos. There is a common areas with sofas and a full kitchen you can use too. Dee was very kind and welcoming, he gave us a tour of the area and made us feel like we were staying with a friend. He sorted out a bike rental and boat to Koh Lipe. The bike rental place he uses are really good and much better than the ones in the town. About a 30 min walk to the beach but can easily get a grab. There are lots of local food places nearby for breakfast.

Great place to stay in Langkawi - Dee is a great host, very happy to see everyone and give tips on the area and beyond. The room was very comfortable, and it’s in a very quiet residential area, with a beautiful walk through the village to get to the beach. Close to the quiet beach, great for sunset - walking distance to food and other amenities as well. Would stay again!

Great, cosy and friendly place. Calm oasis in a busy and touristic Cenang. The owner is very friendly and accommodating and will give you local recommendations. On top of that of course you will meet his lovely cats and also wild animals that come visit the house. The cottage was really nice (forgot to take pictures of the inside but bed was amazing).

Everything was perfect, the place is very cozy and quiet. Still it’s a walkable distance to the beach and the Main Street. There’s a nice common sitting area, a water dispenser and tea. Dee was super nice and helpful. The dusty leaf monkeys roaming nearby were a cherry on top.

Beautiful garden and comfortable common area with friendly cats. Very nice contact with the owner and the staff. It is a perfect place for chill out, distanced from the noisy city centre.

All good, just keep in mind that it’s good to have the scooter there to move to the city or the beach (around 2km).

The environment was beautiful and hosts were lovely. It is a little walk to the main beach area but provides a beautiful oasis of calm from Pantai Cenang - I stayed in the king room, with an outdoor kitchen.

Not great value for money. Room was damp and could do with a bit of upkeep and updating to make it more comfortable- it doesn’t need much to make it more cosy - but the mattress was very old and the room was quite damn and dark - kitchen outside was nice but again, the kitchen implements could be updated - shame because it has such character and it is such a peaceful spot

This place is amazing. The owners are very kind and among the nicest people you will meet. They also have several friendly cats. It is a short drive (5 mins) a way from main area of Pantai Cenang, and the location has great perks: it is quiet, very peaceful, and regularly there are dusky leaf monkeys visiting (who are also peaceful). I highly recommend this if you'd like a relaxing stay away from the busy areas.

I loved the friendly caring nature of the owner Dee, who goes out of his way to help guests when needed. The accommodation is in a lovely quiet area, surrounded by nature. Its an ideal place to switch off from the outside world. My room had a comfortable bed, aircon, ceiling fan, fridge and got toiletries. I would definitely return here.

Everything! Dee was an amazing host. Our initial room’s AC was broken so on arrival he put us in a bigger better room, without any surcharges. The location was great, and the accommodation is so beautiful. The cats (especially Henry) are the cutest! Dee also got us a WIFI extender as he knew we were working. Honestly such a great and thoughtful host!

Amazing atmospheric place! You live in the heart of nature! The cottage is wonderful as is the keeper of this place Dee. There is everything you need and even more. The most amazing impressions from this place!

Peaceful corner of heaven! Walking distance to the beach and city center. The host was very caring, showing around key spots and super helpful to arrange a scooter even with very last minute notice. The room itself cosy, clean and has all to cover basic needs. Little fridge for cold beers and fruit was a very appreciated detail!

The property is very private, well kept, and has everything that you need for your stay in Langkawi. The owner, Dee, is very friendly, and the communication has been easy from the start. I particularly like the greneeries around the property and the middle common area where you can hang out and have your meals. Definitely will come again.

Really nice guesthouse where you get your own private bungalow, but also a great communal area which lots of the guests chill at. Dee was a great host and helped with anything, he helped us book our trips and even gave us a tour of the surrounding area when we arrived. It was very nice to be in the surrounding nature - we saw plenty of frogs and monkeys but they were never a nuisance. Walkable to the centre in 30 mins or get a cheap taxi back easily. Our top tip is the chicken shop at the end of the road - very tasty Chicken and rice for 5 Ringgit

I liked the very homey atmosphere and the owner was very helpful. He can arrange so many things for you (motorbike, ferret tickets etc), he's reliable and fast. It has a beautiful garden, a nice outdoor sitting area and kitchen. We loved the plants, the cats and the birds around. It's very relaxed

You are almost attached to the jungle area around, so expect some 'room mates', e.g. little ants, toad, gecko. But the rooms have a nice decor and good aircon.

Beautiful location set in a nice garden with nature all around. You will enjoy a stay in nature with Squirrels, monkeys, lizards etc. The outside kitchen and terrace is nice and you are surrounded by trees , bushes ,flowers and Nature. Peaceful other than the calls to prayer at night and early morning.. Close to town although your own transport would be recommended. Taxis on grab are easily available as an alternative.. Dee was very welcoming and easy to communicate with.

The bed is very hard and not comfortable.. Lots of geckos in the house coming in from the roof. They are harmless and didn't bother me but my wife was not very happy to see them!!

Ultimate friendly host, cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect location - on one hand, feel like in jungles, on the other hand - close to the city, bars and restaurants. Kiities as promised - friendly and petty. The terrace is best to chill down in the evening with class of wine or right after getting back from the beach. A beautiful place with a quiet and garden feel. Our bungalow was very cute and the owner was absolutely amazing. He showed us around and took us to the beach, even heled us with our ferry booking to Koh Lipe and rented us a scooter. It was also nice to have common areas and a kitchen we could use to cook. Definitely worth the price of the stay!

There is a mosque near by and we could hear it from our room. It wasn't too bad with ear plugs but it may wake you up in the mornings. We had ants throughout our room which was tough for us. The owner would have done something about it when we told him but we knew we would have had to change rooms. Ended up leaving a day early because of it, but if it's taken care of, its a very lovely place to stay.

We were met by the owner who communicated with us as we were travelling over on the ferry. He welcomed us and gave us a short tour in his car around the local area which nicely set us up for exploring the island. He also arranged a hire for us and was always there to answer questions and very helpful. The gardens, communal area with fully equipped kitchen was perfect. If we visit Langkawi again, this is where we will come!

This is a real little gem of a place if you don’t want to be right in the tourist hustle and bustle of cenang but still in walking distance of everything. It’s super good value and the property in a quiet neighbour surrounded by beautiful nature. And the decoration is really lovely and eclectic. It has all the mod cons such as Wi-Fi, air con and enough hot water. There’s also a common kitchen where you can make your own breakfast ( nice when you’re travelling for longer ). If you don’t mind walking a bit it’s about 15 minutes walk to the beach and maybe 20 to the town centre. There are a few local eateries only 5minute walk up to the main road ( all very good and much more affordable than the tourist places in town). The owner is very helpful and gave a little tour in his car round town to show all the best places to eat as well as the road to the beaches. A very nice touch.

Nothing bad but would be nice if there was also instant coffee for the coffee drinkers in the kitchen . There is complimentary tea.

Quiet location away from the strip but easy 10 min walk to the beach and less than £1 for a taxi back. Real little oasis, Dee is a superb host, so helpful and friendly. Loved the communal areas and quirky rooms .

We rented a scooter and explored the island, Dee was so helpful and chill. He helped with planning our trip and had great recommendations. We would definitely rebook and will recommend to our friends if they ever visit. Amazing!

Pondok is a little gem of a place for those who like to be away from the crowds and close to nature. We stayed in a king room and villa. The villa is definitely worth the extra cost. Lots of space and really comfortable. The garden is home to lots of monkeys! It was amazing to see dusky monkeys up close. Dee is an amazing host! Super helpful in sorting out our onward travel arrangements and providing advice. Location wise, it is a bit of a walk to the beach area but we quite enjoyed the exercise. It is easy and cheap to get a taxi if needed. It was great to be staying in a non-touristy area and seeing locals going about their daily life. There are good restaurants and a launderette nearby. We will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Excelent stay, Dee the owner is super nice and helpfull. We recomend staying here 100%. Great AC, the garden and common area are very beautifull and relaxed outside the main town. Less than a 5 minute scooter ride to the beach.

Lovely garden, adorable host, perfect place to chill out and meet other people. The rooms are very basic but clean, you may find the odd mosquito in your room. On the morning of my departure I saw a large family of Dusk Leaf Monkeys passing by.
