Good location, clean, nice swimming pool, all ok.

Nothing was bad.

Smiley' location on Taphul st. has a large assorted food locations avail. within a easy 5 min. walk.

Central location. Spacious bright room, private bathroom, swimming pool, charming internal patio. Friendly staff. As per accommodation advertisement, rooms don't have A/C (although they have ceiling fan) and can get pretty hot during day/night. Which anyways it wasn't a problem for me.

Stayed 5 nights in the guest house. It was very clean and overall had a good experience. The location was very good and the rooms were clean. Definitely a good deal to make for this price

The rooms were extremely hot and the van didn't really help to cool it down. There were also tons of mosquitos and no net available

I liked everything.

The location was ideal for me.Set just off a busy road there was no traffic noise at all. Easy walking distance from the market and Pub Street (which was an overrated experience) Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful!

Even though I booked a very basic budget room and my expectations were not high. I think small things like a better fitting wet room door and a bedside table lamp would have been good. That said I would go back there in a heartbeat!!!

The place is good value for money and quiet. It’s less than 10 minutes walk to pub street.

It would be nice if they had some reclining chairs to relax on by the pool .

Property owner is very kind. He respects more on his tourist. Hotel is in the main place of the city. Angkor is just 5km away. Hello supports all the way to travel any of the places in Cambodia and also arrange tickets for traveling to other countries easily. I gave 5/5 rating for the hotel and staff. He concentrate more about customer comfort than money.

Filthy dirty. ..the whole place needs a good clean and to be decorated....smileys is a great name because that's all the staff do.....certainly no cleaning with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and the single chair in the 'balcony' not worthy of putting a dog on it

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing me to check in early after I had a long flight from New Zealand. Awesome location - right in the heart of it all, but also the hotel is down a long driveway therefore away from the street noise. Some great cafe and restaurants on the same street, free wifi, air con in my room was very helpful after being in the heat all day. It is quite basic accommodation but thats all I needed, I definitely enjoyed my stay here.

I didn't know how to turn the hot water shower on so had to ask for help, but it was easy to do once the lady showed me. Power went out a couple times, but fixed quickly with no issues.

My room was just next to some workshop or construction site so I asked to change the room and they were very nice and gave me one on the other side of the building. The location is good and the swimming pool was very refreshing.

Some rooms need maintenance and the staff is working on it. The bathroom is very basic but functional.

It was convenient for me it was close to pickup point for my bus trip the next day.

It was just off the street so no noise, restaurants close and reasonable prices, pub street 1USD OR 15 mins walk and flat. The pool is very clean and refreshing. I booked 3days and stayed 7 a nice place to just relax

It was low season so very quiet, so didn't eat on site but would have been nice to have done. Not a complaint as did stay extra

Location is very good, close to everything. Common areas are nicely decorated. The environment would be nice for a family, as it also has a pool. Also, it's very cheap and you can get a private room! Good price-quality deal.

They only accept cash, the room was not very clean, and it lacked ventilation. It's a very good price-quality deal, but I believe it's mostly for families, not solo travelers.

I would change the bed sheets since they are not well suited for hot environments.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were good. The pool was nice, as was the common courtyard area. It was fairly quiet at night and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Smileys is located a short walk from the main part of town, with supermarket and restaurants very close by.

The bathrooms were cramped and rather dark, and noise from the courtyard does carry up to the rooms.

The family who run the guesthouse were very welcoming and helpful. They were able to book transport for me to get to Phnom Penh as well. The room facilities were good, and it was comfortable aside from the temperature. The location of the property was excellent. Very central, and easy distance to a lot of popular places.

This is no fault of the owners, but just a tip when booking. I had made the mistake of booking a 'fan-only' room as I didn't always use the AC in other places on my travels. I didn't ask to change rooms as I was only there for two nights. Cambodia in January is too hot for a 'fan-only' and the temperature doesn't drop much at night so the heat in the room just keeps on building. There was a door that opened out onto the balcony, which is good for fresh air, but not really for cooling down the room.

Great place, really welcoming family and staff around, comfy rooms, great pool and common area and good location just 10 min walk to night markets and there’s good restaurants on the street. They also have a tuktuk driver you can book angkor wat with he was really good.

the wi-fi and electricity cut out a lot, not sure if this was common or just something going on while we were there but we stayed 5 nights and had problems the whole time.

No airconditioning! The fan is very very loud but it is nothing because it’s too hot. No lying beds at the pool. It not make sense.

It’s a very nice building with a very nice patio. There is even a nice clean swimming pool. Very central and not far from the river. Everyone is very friendly and helpful It’s clean and the rooms are nice. I will return end of this month.

Comfortable, clean rooms. Good location - on a quiet street, but with some nice places to eat, within walking distance to bigger markets and also quite close to main road connecting Siem Reap to Angkor temples. A big shout out to the manager (and other staff as well) - he was exceptionally helpful with arranging everything for us: tuk-tuk for Angkor sightseeing, driver to see Koh Ker temples and everything else. The swimming pool is a nice addition - great refreshment for the body after whole day of discovering Angkor.

The location is perfect, right in centre and there are restaurants, exchange offices, etc ... Room is very clean. Repectionist extremely friendly and helpful ! Everything was perfect !

Firstly I liked where it was located. Walking distance from Pub Street and the shops and markets. Secondly the room was comfortable. For the price I paid, couldn't have complained. Lastly I staffs were friendly and helpful enough. Thank you...

Probably the wifi. It was a bit slow and kept on disconnecting. I think it depends on the room you're in. Some rooms might not have this problem.

Very clean, they were only few guests so we had all the pool for one or two people Pool is not so big, but always shady so freshness is delicious compared to the outdoor temperature

I couldn’t sleep after 6AM/7AM. There are kids screaming and many people speaking really loud, every morning. It’s a complete circus. Horrible, really. Be aware that budget single room doesn’t have hot water. If you want hot water, you should get a double/twin room.

The accommodation was rather more basic than the photos let on, but the staff were delightful and it was very well located for my purposes. Any issues I had were resolved quickly!
