Good location

Incredibly comfy bed and pillows, welcoming bar downstairs (0 noise can be heard when upstairs/in your room), great water pressure. Something to note - I arrived late, around 9-9:30PM, a lot of restaurants already accepted their last orders, so I resorted to some ramen from a convenience store (there are multiple a few minute walk away). There was instant hot water and cutlery in the common room, so it was a breeze to make!

Quiet and safe place!!! Good place to visit around Mokpo!!! Restaurants around are really good!

Well i am not a breakfast person,saying that if you saying breakfast included should provide Minimum stuff,neither coffe or milk was there ,my basic

The room was clean and bed was pretty comfortable. It was pretty small, but good enough for one. It’s above a bar, but the sound proofing is really good and I couldn’t hear anything from downstairs at all. There’s a shared kitchen area, which was handy.

The shower is pretty basic, as is the sink. There was no cafe close by to get breakfast in the morning.

Excellently appointed. The rooms and facilities are top tier and sparkling clean. Sound proofing also excellent. Bed very comfortable. 2 min walk to fishing boat dock (pretty) and fish & veg market. 5 min walk to ferry. Genuine surroundings, plenty of restaurants. Short ride to many attractions and Mokpo station. Taxi KRW5,000-8,000.

No washing machine available. Taxi ride to coin laundry 😩. Far from upmarket tourist zone, but KRW7000 taxi ride fixed that problem.

The first night I wasn't able to sleep because the blinds are very thin and there was a very bright street lamp outside. I explained this to the staff and they moved me to another room where I slept well. Hopefully, they have fixed the problem with the blinds. It's a good location in a historic area. There's a pub downstairs but no noise. The beer is good.

Very nice little hotel with a pub at the ground floor. The room was small but comfortable, very clean and with all amenities. Well located close to the station and walking distance to the ferry terminal. Staff was super welcoming and friendly, had a great time!

Good location. Clean room. The really good is the floor heating- it keeps the temperature very comfortable. friendly stuff. the room is comfortable, relatively spacious, also VERY QUIET.

the bathroom is all together, so be careful not to wet the entire bathroom after a shower.

Geonmak Stay is awesome - so glad I stayed there. It's a really short walk to the Mokpo Station - I took the KTX from Seoul, arrived at night, and it was quick and easy to walk there. It's an interesting place, different in some ways from anywhere I've stayed, but different in a way that I really liked. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. You check in at the Pub downstairs, and the English instructions they gave me were pretty clear - everything worked. The bathroom IS the shower - don't aim the shower head at the trash can or toilet paper roll, though. The bidet seat buttons were all labelled in Korean, but I figured them out pretty quickly, since I have a Toto Washlet at home, anyway. The people at the pub are great. Their English is not great, but being young, they quickly pulled out translators on their phones which helped a lot. There is a refrigerator and microwave (again, knob labels in Korean) in the small kitchen on the second floor. The neighborhood is not so upscale, but felt very safe and walking around (it's only about 100 yards from the harbor quay) was great - you can get fresh fruits and vegetables their easily. There are some cool bakeries and coffee shops nearby, in addition to plenty of mini-marts. In summary, I had a great experience - be sure to go down to the Pub often!!

I wish there had been laundry facilities (I didn't think to ask at the Pub, but I'd recommend asking). An English map of the bus system would have helped, but I got that off the web anyway.

You’re welcomed by the staff downstairs in the pub, when checkin in you’re offered a free drink and some snacks. Staff was very friendly but didn’t speak English very well. Seems like it’s mostly locals staying here which is a plus for me

The doors are sometimes quite low, my and my friend bumped our heads multiple times (were around 1,83 or 6ft)

Close to the train station. Staff is amazing. There is a pub downstairs run by the comunity, and they offer food made with local produce, it was delicious! We got a complimentary beers as well!! Rooms are comfortable and really clean. Its quiet during the night, could tell if there were other guests.

Location is great, close to both train and ferry terminal. Right next to the fish market, and close to historical locations if you have the time to explore. The guesthause has a pub with delicious food, and is run by local community that promotes their product both for food and beverages. The dried seafood is exceptional. The staff is really friendly, thank you for the patience when we try to communicate! I would definitely come back especially for the dried mackerel!

It was simple, you can fix it by yourself, no limited ime, you can come when you want. We were welcomed very friendly and we got a beer and a snack for free for each night we stayed. It is a community owned pup and guesthouse that makes it very personally. Interisting neighborhood: old town district, art, harbor.

Unfortunately, no coffee. Also, first morning we only had one slice of bread to share for two people. The next morning we had plenty but still a little bit sad.

Comfortable place above a nice pub, but it was not loud at night. Short walk to the harbour and nanyeong park.

The hotel was very kind and offered welcoming beverage and food. The staff was friendly, and the location was good. They kept my luggage at the front desk before check in so I could wander about town.

I had a good stay and don't remember anything I didn't like. I would go again if I visit Mokpo

The staff at Geonmeak is very friendly to solo traveller. The welcome drink at the pub is definately a plus. The neighbourhood has a good local vibes supporting the fishery industry. I only felt welcomed at this place! The location is definately central to. Ferry terninal and the train station.

If you're in Mokpo for the ferry, this hotel is nicely located about half-way between the train station and the ferry port (an easy 10-12 min walk from each). It has some little communal areas where you can sit and read or work on a computer or (if you're with friends) chat and have a drink.

I had to book here at very short notice (about 20 mins before I arrived), so I didn't have a lot of choice for where to stay. For the price I paid, I would have expected a bigger room, maybe a view of something other than the roof of the neighbouring building, more exciting breakfast options. Oh, and a bathroom door high enough that I didn't crack my head on it every time I went through! Also, the lights didn't fully turn off, they just turned down to a dull glow. As someone who really needs a dark room to sleep in, this was not good.
