Good view, good room, good shower, good food. After the toubkal trek we got food poisoning from mountain food, staff took care of us and made sure we were comfortable. The woman who cooks is very friendly and sweet.

Malika et Omar sont d' une gentillesse incroyable. Le riad est exceptionnellement propre, les lits sont bien grands, les matelas sont fermes et il y a de l' eau chaude. Les espaces intérieurs et extérieurs sont décorés avec soin. Une terrasse ensoleillée toute la journée avec vue exceptionnelle sur la vallée et le Toubkal. Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix est très bon et Malika peut vous proposer de très bonnes tajines. Le riad est situé au cœur d' un petit hameau vivant. Les enfants rentrent de l' école, l' appel à la prière rythme les journées et les nuits, les animaux se promènent en liberté. Le taxi vous déposera a 100m du riad, le reste du chemin se fait à pied. Mais pour un dépaysement total, si vos bagages ne sont pas trop lourds, je vous conseille de demander au taxi de vous déposer au début du chemin qui quitte la route principale d'Imlil. Vous parcourrez alors 600 m à pied sur un joli petit sentier. Petit conseil, le supplément pour vue sur montagne et balcon en vaut vraiment la peine.

Vous parcourrez alors 600 m à pied sur un joli petit sentier.

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits en famille au Riad Dar Omar à Imlil, et cette expérience restera parmi nos plus beaux souvenirs au Maroc. Si vous cherchez une alternative au stress de la ville, cet endroit est parfait. Le riad est entouré par la nature avec une vue panoramique magnifique sur les montagnes du Haut Atlas. Début mai, certains sommets étaient encore partiellement enneigés, ce qui ajoutait énormément de charme au paysage. L’accueil de M. Omar, M. Mustapha et de toute l’équipe était exceptionnel. Nous nous sommes sentis comme des invités de la famille. Toutes les personnes du village étaient également très accueillantes et toujours prêtes à aider ou répondre à nos questions. Le riad est propre, calme et authentique. Les chambres sont confortables et l’atmosphère permet de découvrir pleinement la vie rurale berbère. Nos enfants ont adoré le séjour. M. Omar a pris le temps de leur montrer certains aspects de la vie locale et les animaux de la ferme, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus spéciale pour elles. La nourriture était excellente, principalement marocaine et préparée avec soin. Nous avons aussi apprécié les petites attentions pour les enfants au petit-déjeuner. Pour les repas, ils demandent ce que vous souhaitez manger, ce qui est très appréciable. Mention spéciale pour le café : vous pouvez demander un expresso ou un café aromatisé avec des plantes locales. J’ai essayé un café au romarin local face aux montagnes, et c’était un moment inoubliable. Autre point très pratique : le riad dispose d’un parking, contrairement à beaucoup d’autres riads de la région. Même en cas d’affluence, l’équipe aide toujours à trouver une solution. Un immense merci à Omar, Mustapha et toute l’équipe pour leur gentillesse et cette magnifique parenthèse au cœur de l’Atlas.

Aucun point négatif à signaler, tout était très bien. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour du début à la fin.

Lovely stay. Views that can’t be beat, and wow, what a breakfast. Very friendly hosts.

Truly wonderful hotel, the views from the room were breathtaking and Omar and his family did everything to make the stay perfect. The rooftop terrace is lovely to have a meal or read a book, and staying just outside of the busy town of Imlil made the stay more relaxing. All amenities were present and the room was clean!

The small road towards the hotel is a little bit scary if you are not used to small mountain roads. Very much worth it however!

Gorgeous views, very family vibe, and off tje main road so you feel like you are in a separate isolated village

They could improve in their ability to help their guests arrange hikes. The offerings and pricing were not very clear . But there are other people one meets in the town who can also help with that so you aren’t at a disadvantage.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Ausserdem war das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker und grosszügig. Definitiv zu empfehlen.

Het uitzicht was geweldig. Net als Mostapha, hij en zijn familie hebben fantastisch voor ons gezorgd. Het eten was heerlijk en hun gastvrijheid zorgde ervoor dat we ons erg thuis voelde. Genoeg redenen om terug te komen!!

I arrived in Imlil after a long journey, in search of peace, presence, and the stillness of the mountains. I scouted the whole village for the place with the best view of Toubkal, and I found it here. From the balcony, the view opens directly onto the valley, with the mighty Toubkal standing watch beyond. On arrival, I was welcomed with an ear-to-ear smile and a warm, friendly fist bump from Mostapha. An absolute legend. 👊 Each morning, the sight of the mountain and that same warm welcome brought me back to myself. And after long days spent hiking, returning to a warm fire and the hospitality of the family made this place feel less like a guesthouse and more like a home. Thank you for having me.

Krásné, čisté ubytování, pohodlné postele. Výborné domácí jídlo, strašně milý a sympatický personál. Super lokalita s nádherným výhledem na hory. Tenhle pobyt jsme si moc užili a určitě se rádi vrátíme.

It is located a short scenic walk from Imlil center. The staff were so nice and accommodating! And the breakfast had an amazing selection of food. Our room was very cozy, and large. The perfect place to stay right outside of Imlil.

The bed was a bit hard.

Tout d’abord, il y a toutes les commodités importantes: stationnement, eau chaude avec bon débit, chauffage. L’accueil par Mustafa et sa famille fut excellent et chaleureux. La vue était exceptionnelle. Nous avons pu organisé des randonnées adaptées à la famille via Mustafa et sa famille. La nourriture était abondante et excellente. La chambre était très confortable, grande et bien décorée. Nous étions à quelques minutes de marche de la rue principale de Imlil.

Staff was very friendly. Airconditioning works very well. The view was extraordinary and the breakfast contained everything you needed. When we went for a long hike and the stores were closed because of Eid al-Fitr they gave us some bread to take with us.

To go to the center of the city you have to take a small (10min) walk. There's no lights on this road, so when it's dark it's important to use a flashlight. There are some small things that they could easily change to go from a 7 to a higher score: - The most imprtant thing: the curtains. The room that we got had a street light in front of it. The curtains did not block the light so it was constantly like the sun was rising which we are more sensitive to. - There is no shower curtain so the bathroom gets fully wet when taking a shower. - There is warm water but it takes a while to get warm and when it is warm the temperature fluctuates a lot. - The bed was really hard, but this is maybe subjective. - We asked for breakfast at 8:30 but when we got to the eating space, the staff hadn't woken up yet. When woken they quickly got to action and presented a very nice breakfast.

The location was good for exploring the mountains

Personel eś excelente, muy amable y útil (especialmente Mustafa). La comida es deliciosa, hecha allí. Te sientes como el parte de familia allí. Experiencia muy local y autentica. Toca caminar un poco, alojamiento es un poco alejado del Imlil, pero por eso tiene las vistas fenomenales los que no tiene ningún otro.

La chaleur des hôtes, la simplicité, l’efficacité et la nourriture servie de manière généreuse !

Unfortunately, our experience at this hostel was extremely disappointing. We checked in around 10:00 PM and later went to the center of Imlil for dinner. When we returned around midnight, we found the hostel completely closed, with no prior notice of any curfew or restricted entry time. This rule was never communicated to us, neither verbally nor mentioned on Booking. I tried to call the person who gave us the room key, but his phone rang once and then was switched off. After several minutes, the owner, Omar, arrived. His attitude was very rude and aggressive. He shouted at us and spoke to us disrespectfully, insisting that guests must return before 11:00 PM, despite the fact that this rule had never been disclosed. Even though our reservation was confirmed and fully paid, the owner refused to let us stay. We had traveled a very long distance to get there, and the weather was terrible ,it was snowing and extremely cold. As a result, we were forced to go to the gendarmerie and were left without accommodation in the middle of the night. We had no choice but to spend the night in our car. This situation was stressful, humiliating, and unsafe, especially after a long journey. We strongly do not recommend this place due to the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespectful treatment of guests.

Super kind staff, great food, beautiful wiews and hot water in the shower. Really nice. Also super kind to hold on to our stuff while doing the toubkal circuit.

Fantastic place- so beautiful mountain views from terrace and balcony! Tasty dishes-both breakfast and dinner! Room is clean and nicely decorated! Very welcoming and nice family! In November nights get cold-but there is air conditioning and blankets! Location is just perfect- a bit remote from the village( nice 10 min walk) so you can get more authentic experience! From there you can walk to several nice path ways in mountains! Would come back!

I had a very nice stay at the auberge. The crew was friendly a big thanks to Mostapha and Omar. The place was very clean and comfortable. The view was fantastic. I really enjoyed my time there and I want to go back again

Enorm vriendelijke uitbaters, heel erg behulpzaam en altijd met een grote glimlach. Het uitzicht vanop het terras was niet te evenaren. Geweldig ontbijten en dineren met uitzicht op het atlas gebergte.

Sehr schön gelegen in mitten der Berge. Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Familie ist super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Das angebotene Frühstück war so vielfältig und jedes Mal anders und lecker. Wir haben auch Abendessen gehabt - sehr lecker!

Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt neben dem Lautsprecher durch den der Muezzin gerufen hat, wer einen leichten Schlaf hat - es ist sehr laut hörbar.

On a passé un agréable séjour chez si omar et sa petite famille qui sont très gentils et serviables vraiment tout est impeccable la propreté de la chambre et la décoration locale magnifique la cuisine est trop délicieuse la terrasse qui donne une vue panoramique sur les montagnes (toubkal) je le recommande vivement rien que la gentillesse des hôtes me donne envie de revenir ici merci encore si omar et sa petite famille.

Clean, close but not in the village have some rest from the chaos of Marrakech. Omar was perfect, responded to questions and made sure everything was good. I had wonderful, huge breakfast served when I liked. I had two dinners there that were better than any restaurant in the village by far! Make sure you eat there! Rooms had amazing views and were large. Bed was very comfortable. Everything was great.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Dar Omar. The location is stunning, surrounded by the beauty of the Atlas Mountains : peaceful, quiet. Our hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. They arranged a beautiful hike for us with a local guide, which was one of the highlights of our trip. The views were breathtaking and the experience felt truly authentic. The room was simple, very clean, and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the homemade dinner and breakfast, everything was fresh, generous, and made with care.

Nothing at all — everything was simple, calm, and exactly what we needed

We had a very pleasant stay at Dar Omar. The place is very clean, peaceful, and comfortable — it really felt like home. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. The terrace has a beautiful view, and even the rooms offer great scenery. The staff was helpful, and La Malika was always smiling and attentive. The owner was also very friendly.

Just a few things to keep in mind: access by car is not easy, as there’s a rough dirt road on the way. For those walking at night, the path can be a bit tricky because there’s no lighting. Also, it can get noisy in the morning due to groups speaking loudly or neighbors nearby — it would be good to let future guests know in advance.

Well, the rating speaks for itself, amazing stay, but the staff is what truly made it special! Super kind and welcoming.

Lovely helpful staff (thank you ladys!), clean room and bathroom, amazing breakfast with the amazing view from the rooftop terrace. Lovely area to do hiking, thanks for the recommendation where to go. they will make you a fire in the chimney if it’s cold.

Sadly my mountain view room had a lantern directly in front of the window so that it’s like daylight during nighttime. The curtains shut it down a bit but it’s not dark at all and you won’t see the sunrise. The muezzin calls right next door at 5:30am (everywhere in the valley of Imlil), bring your earplugs to keep it soft… It would be great to have some information (inspiration?) on paper where to go or where to get a guide or some tourist stuff to do. Imlil is not the most welcoming place for female solo travelers (it seems that they are still not used to see women walking around alone).

Staff were very welcoming. The rooms were very clean with up to date amenities with a cosy atmosphere. I really enjoyed my stay here. Also a nice close walk to the village centre.

The riad was a lovely place to stay. The room was nicely decorated, and the terrace had a beautiful view of the mountains. Omar was very welcoming. The breakfast was nice, and the food was tasty.

However, when we first arrived, we felt a bit uncomfortable, as it felt more like stepping into someone’s house rather than a hotel. The lady at the reception wasn’t very welcoming at first—she was busy with phone calls and made us wait. When I asked for a toilet for the kids as it was quite urgent, she said we have to wait until she confirmed with Omar before we could use the one in our room. Also, to have dinner at the riad, you need to place your order in the afternoon, which we didn’t know. We asked for dinner quite late, but luckily, they accommodated our request. Another downside was that the WiFi wasn’t working most of the time, which was quite inconvenient.

Wonderful place, wonderful people! The family were very kind, welcoming and accomodating, guided me to find the Riad and prepared dinner for me at the late time that I arrived. Omar is super kind and the women working there are very sweet and welcoming. We had a delicious and generous couscous and breakfast. The house is so clean and cozy, we just felt at home.

It was a very warm and comfortable stay. The whole family was involved in making us feel good. They were very kind and attentive to details. The room was very clean, had a big window on the mountains, a kettle with tea and coffee, slippers and warm blankets. The view from the terrace is amazing, the place is very calm and beautiful.

It would be good to have curtains in the shower, because water gets everywhere in the bathroom if you take a shower

This Guesthouse is really amazing -Omar and his family are such warm and nice people and they treat their guest very good -the breakfast and the dinner is very large and very good! I would definitely recommend this place!

The hospitality from Omar and his family is excellent. They helped me to find the hostel, served me tea on arrival, upgraded my room for free, arranged a guide for me to hike Mount Toukbal and provided me with clothing for the hike that I didn’t have with me. They served breakfast for me at 4:30am so I could start the hike early. They also served an excellent and healthy evening meal, and breakfast was substantial. They were incredibly kind to me. Thank you to them.

A minor problem was WiFi did not seem to reach my room or the communal areas on the terrace.

We felt really welcome in this beautiful decorated local guesthouse. Very good breakfast & help with finding a guide and lunch pack and possibilty to eat local tajines. We will come back. Very good value for price.

We had a lovely stay at this Riad. The terrace has lovely views over Imlil + rooms are spotless. It is worth staying here for the breakfast alone! It was so delicious. Staff are very attentive.

It is a little walk from the main street which we didn’t mind but would imagine is quite dark to do at night.

The highlight is the terrace with amazing views of the valley and Jebl Toubkal. The whole family is committed to providing their guests a comfortable stay. We did like the setting in that small rural village off Imli. Parking the car is not really a problem.

The design of our room was maybe a bit too colourful to our taste. The 3 beds room was a bit overpriced.

Imlil is best place in Marocco, and Riad Dar Omar is much cosy and soul Riad in this country! Fresh air with mountain views, clean and comfortable room, large bed, hot water all the time! And we are very happy that chose this place, becouse we enjoyed our weekend at Riad Dar Omar. Breakfast and dinner are delicious! We would like to come back again!

this is by far the best place to stay in town! the view is absolutely amazing, the room was super clean and comfortable. Omar and the rest of staff were incredibly helpful! Ask for the dinner and you’ll get huge portions of delicious food.

They made us the best meal quite late at night when we arrived and it was incredible. Best meal we had in morocco.

A little hard to find at night if you're driving in due to the road being quite small and unpaved, but our little car still made it.

The room was spotlessly clean and smelled really nice, huge amounts of daylight in the room and really comfortable shower. The staff is a really nice family that are always willing to help. The home cooked meals where very delicious.

for us this was not an issue at all. but you’re in the middle of a small town, and it can be pretty noisy. the room is not very sound proof. so for the people that don’t like noise, be prepared if you book here.

Very friendly staff and owners, beautiful view of Toubkal and the mountains from the Terrace.

Propery is quite far from the main road in Imlil and requires a short drive on a skinny dirt road and over a creek with no signage. Despite some other reviews, we had no hot water during our stay which we highly value. Perhaps it was the location of our room (being the first after the entrance), it was very loud around our room (lots of people yelling, moving items etc) until late into the night.

Firstly the location was incredible, the best views of the mountains! You could spend the whole day just staring out the window! The hotel is in a beautiful little village about 10 minutes walk from imlil Center, but it felt so isolated and special. The room was beautifully decorated, super clean and really cosy and warm on a febuary night time, so amazing to wake up to the sun rise over the mountains through the gorgeous big windows. Omar and his family were amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and dinner were delicious! We loved our stay so much and didn't want to leave.
