L’hôte est très agréable, il nous a bien reçu, chaleureusement. Il a réservé pour nous un superbe Safari. Nous avons pu observer des léopards. Vous trouverez plein d’animaux, notamment les chiens qui sont très gentils.

Beaucoup d’insectes dans le logement et des grenouilles dans l’eau des toilettes. C’est aussi ça l’aventure 😉 Beaucoup de bruit dans la nuit (animaux et autres)

De gehele entourage was fantastisch. De sfeer is goed, laidback. Zoveel details te zien, we raakten niet uitgekeken. Vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel. We hebben zelfs een Sri Lankaans bordspel geleerd. "s Avonds met elkaar kort muziek maken. Er waren meerdere trommeltjes, een gitaar, klankinstrumentjes. We konden er lekker ontbijten en avondeten. Via het resort een yala safari gedaan. En ook de taxi naar de volgende plaats is door de eigenaar geregeld. In de buurt kan je wandelen langs een ijzerdraadje onder spanning waar weleens olifanten komen. Wij hebben alleen poep en foto's van de bewoners aan het hek gezien. De wandeling naar het centrum is ook leuk. Heel lokaal en nauwelijks toeristen gezien.

Safari Value: At 25,000 for private as I was solo with breakfast included (bakery items), the safari was a good price and definitely the highlight of the trip. Vibe: It’s a very cool, rustic place to stay if you want to feel immersed in nature. Cleanliness: The room was fairly clean, which I appreciated given the jungle setting Had dinner there on my first night as it is about 30 minute walk to the main town area, the dinner I had was excellent a really tasty vegetable curry with potato.

The bathroom is quite basic the shower and toilet are right together in the room, and there is no showerhead, which made it a bit awkward to use. The door and walls don’t reach the ceiling, which means you’re essentially sharing your space with the local bugs!. It also makes for a very awkward privacy situation because of the gaps at the top, you don't feel fully shielded when showering or getting changed. Breakfast was supposed to be included in my booking but was never offered in the morning, which was disappointing. Be prepared for a 4:00 AM wake-up call from the animals on the farm and dogs barking parts of the night. There was a monkey kept on a chain at all the time which was upsetting to see. I felt a bit uneasy due to some words written on the door and the specific pictures around the room and sculptures around.

Нашей семье очень понравилось пребывание в этом шикарном месте! Хозяин резорта сделал все возможное для максимального нашего комфорта! Как жаль, что мы всего на 1 день остались, так как это место достойно гораздо более длительного пребывания там! Потрясающе оформленные бунгало, в индивидуальном стиле! А какой там зоопарк(кого только там нет, приходите и увидите сами!) ... Ребята, там даже гуси танцуют под музыку!!! Я бы точно вернулась туда пожить гораздо более длительное время!

Там не может быть ничего, что могло бы не понравиться! К сожалению много фото сделать не получилось, в силу того, что приехали уставшие и нужно было выспаться перед сафари. Успела только чуть чуть насладиться глазами этим великолепным отдыхом!

Demandez votre chauffeur de prendre des routes secondaires pour être tranquille et de rouler doucement afin de pouvoir observer

The bungalow bed was full of bags I couldn't sleep at night so I had to change to another room. Meanwhile u come to jungle resort and hope to get some peace and rest, instead 5 dog barking all night and don't give any space to sleep. Took private safari with them disappointed too. They did one hour less then planed. Didn't see much and the driver was going same road 4times. Not sure how it works I'm not a guide but didn't make sense at all. Anyways places is cool but disappointingm

Es un alojamiento muy especial porque tienen muchísimos animales y una atmósfera bonita. La habitación es muy grande. Pero el recuerdo más bonito que me llevo de este lugar es la pequeña macaco de 4 meses, preciosa. Aunque la tienen atada a una cadena para que no se escape y puedan cuidarla hasta que crezca y puedan soltarla. Esperemos que sea verdad y no sea una atracción turística... La cena que nos sirvieron por un precio extra me gustó mucho (huevos con patatas), porque pudimos salir un poco del arroz con curry :) aunque cara para lo que es.

Lo que menos nos gustó fue la atención recibida por parte del dueño y uno de los empleados del alojamiento. Nosotros reservamos una habitación por un precio y al parecer cuando llegamos nos metieron en otra habitación, que según ellos cuando hicimos el check out, era más cara que la que habíamos reservado porque tenía AC, pero no nos avisaron de ello. La sensación fue que nos metieron en esa para cobrarnos más al final, pero sin avisar. Les dijimos que ese no era el precio que aparecía en nuestra reserva. Al final accedieron a cobrarnos lo que ponía en la app. Así que os recomendaría que dejéis esto claro antes de entrar a la habitación. Además, si viajáis con tuktuk, cuidado con dejarlo dentro del recinto, porque sus perros nos mordieron buena parte de los asientos traseros aún habiéndolo dejado cerrado. Nos pusimos en contacto con la agencia del tuktuk y nos dijeron que les pidiéramos 6€ para arreglarlo, pero se negaron a pagárnoslo. Incluso, se hicieron los sordos y no se hicieron responsables de ello. Al final tuvimos que pagarlo nosotros de nuestro bolsillo porque después de estar un rato discutiendo sobre el precio de la habitación, pasábamos de perder más tiempo, además de que no hablamos el mismo idioma. Es una pena porque el lugar merece la pena, pero deberían primero mejorar la atención al cliente.

Die ganze Lodge war der Hammer. Hier hat Fernando extrem viel Herzblut reingesteckt, wir haben selten so einen schönen Ort gesehen. Alle Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich, abends haben wir mit Fernando zusammen gesessen und gemeinsam etwas Musik gemacht. Abendessen konnten wir aus der Ferne noch bestellen, obwohl es schon recht spät war. Alles war super lecker, auch das Frühstück. Wir konnten nur noch die einfachen Unterkünfte buche, da die Komfortzimmer schon ausgebucht waren. DIe einfachen Zimmer waren schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber für eine Übernachtung ok. Das Ambiente drumherum hat das mehr als aber aufgewogen.

This is the worst place where I have ever stayed, super dirty and riddled with insects (I’ve stayed plenty of times in the jungle and never have seen such a badly maintained place). I wasn’t going to post a review as the hosts seemed nice, but unfortunately, on the last day just before checking out, I saw a few behaviours of ANIMAL ABUSE that leave me no option but to warn future travelers. The owner keeps a lot of animals, but apart from the dogs that look in good condition, the rest are not well kept. Multiple rabbits mixed with a guinea pig were kept in a small fence with concrete and no proper bedding, and we noticed a HALF DEAD young rabbit. The hosts tried to gaslight me in saying it was a newborn and that was dead, when he was clearly a couple of weeks old and still moving, but struggling. A part from this, we also saw a monkey being CHAINED with the excuse of having rescued her - she looked severely distressed and had calluses and small injuries on the waist where the chain is. This is heartbreaking and ILLEGAL (we went to the police to file a report and they confirmed us this), so if you love animals avoid this place at all costs. Pictures as proof. Now, having read a few other reviews and the response of the owner to the negative ones, I expect him to call me double faced or unhappy like a scolded child would do

The place is very interesting and the owner has great taste in music, even played a drum sample for us

The animals can be loud at any hour of the day, worked out for us because we were leaving for safari early morning so didn't even have to set an alarm.

I really liked the atmosphere, bathing in the river behind, very good dinner and kind hospitality.

Die Lage, weit außerhalb des Ortes, ohne dass ein fahrbarer Untersatz/Fahrrad beigestellt werden konnte, ist eine Zumutung. Ein nutzbares WiFi gibt es nicht.

Tous, un lieu magique au calme du bruit de la ville et en pleine campagne. Idéal comme moi pour aller marcher le long de la réserve voir les oiseaux, singes et autres tortues, serpents.

Rooms were very dark even with lights on . The grey skies didn’t help . Dogs were very noisy barking most of our first night disrupting our sleep - second night better as it rained most of the night .

Wir waren in einem Baumhaus-Zimmer. Sehr offen, keine verschließbare Tür. Somit können alle Tiere hereinkommen, unter anderem wilde Affen. Sanitärbereich war im Außenbereich des Zimmers. Am letzten Morgen hatten wir einen Ratte im Kloabfluss. Zudem konnte man sehr schlecht schlafen, weil die Tiere in der Nacht Geräusche machten (Bellen, Paarungsrufe, etc. )

Es un lloc súper macu, amb unes instal·lacions molt xules i originals. Tenen molts animals, no adequat per persones que no els hi agradi. Està al costat del riu i del safari. Molt bona gent i bon menjar.

Habitació bruta, poc conservada i mitjanament oberta. No vam dormir a gust tot hi així cada habitació es diferent i tot va ser una bona experiència.

Great vibe with a drumming concert each night which you can be part of. The creator Ferdinand Alsonso is a very warm guy. His number two guy Shaun is equally great.

Der Besitzer ist extrem aufdringlich und hat mich unangenehm angegraben, habe mich so unsicher als alleinreisende gefühlt man kann die Unterkunft auch nicht abschließen. Es ist sehr schmutzig , es gab keine Decke oder Handtücher, auch nicht auf Nachfrage. Die Stimmung unter den Mitarbeitern ist auch unangenehm man merkt, dass der Besitzer sie von oben herab behandelt. Das schlimmste ist aber das meine Sonnenbrille gestohlen wurde, es gibt sogar Bilder und Videos wie ich sie hatte, habe die Unterkunft nicht verlassen und es wurde behauptet es wurde nichts gefunden (ich war der einzige Gast!) Die Antworten hier seinerseits sind genauso unangenehm wie sein ganzes verhalten

Colocamos como hipótese pedir simplesmente a atribuição de um novo quarto, com paredes, mas ao fim de 2horas de espera sem termos sequer almoçado e duas chamadas para o anfitrião ele tornou-se extremamente rude na comunicação e decidimos vir embora

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the art and design were awesome and the food was delicious

On a positive note, the dinner was very good and the location is convenient for safari trips.

We stayed here for two nights. On both nights, loud music was playing until around 11:00 PM, which is far from ideal if you have an early safari the next morning. When we reported that our hot water heater was not working, we were told it was broken. When we asked for a solution, the owner responded in a dismissive and unfriendly manner, telling us that the heater is always “broken” and that guests have to pay extra for hot water. This felt misleading, especially since other cottages did have hot water. The way the owner handled this situation was unpleasant and unprofessional, and we did not feel taken seriously. Although we eventually received some compensation, it did not make up for the poor communication and attitude. Additionally, there was a crying baby monkey tied to a tree with a chain, which was very disturbing to witness.

Manque d’isolation autant au niveau du bruit extérieur ( soirée très bruyante et jusqu’au petit matin chez les voisin et les aboiements des chiens ) que la lumière avec la proximité avec les voisins de chambre. La chambre aurait mérité d’être un petit peu plus propre.

Food was good and a nice communal vibe with other guests

The host markets this place as an eco resort and convenient to stay before a Yala visit but it isn’t really either of those things. We had a 5am start but the host kept everyone awake until after midnight playing really loud music and partying with his friends (not other guests) there is a guinea pig, rabbit some turkeys and 6 dogs, including a scary looking ridge back which is left to wander round on its own. There was a nice communal vibe earlier in the evening but we left feeling annoyed that we couldn’t sleep before our expensive safari trip and a bit exploited by the host to basically support his lifestyle. Completely different to every other place and host we’ve met, not for me.

The ambience and landscapes are wonderful, you feel you are staying in a room carved into a mountain. The environment around is so active and inviting, nice illumination

At the moment it is a bit hard to arrive as the main bridge from the road is open only for small vehicles so we had to go around to get to the entrance

Stor sjarm med dyr egenoppført kunst og hytter på en orginal måte. Personalet super vennlig med mye kunnskap om området. Måltid på samme bord med gjester og bra mat som inviterer til sosialt samvær. Et veldig spesielt sted som arrangerer Safari og sterkt å anbefale.

Ikke varmt vann i dusjen selv om det var oppvarmingboks og dårlig vanntrykk og dårlig internett dekning. Bra dekning i resepsjonen.

Really lovely, basic, jungle style living. Laid back and very peaceful! Lots of very friendly dogs that want constant cuddles. All staff very friendly. Evening meal was a lovely vegetarian buffet. Owner is very interesting and funny, He gave us a drumming and percussion session with instruments for all to join in. Really nice experience!!

Colazione non inclusa per un prezzo così alto, il posto è anche naif bello ma poco funzionale. Certo non si può pretendere di avere wi fi se sei nella giungla ma allora non scrivere che c'è. Se vai in compagnia sicuramente accetti tutto di più. Comunque sia ho pagato 19 euro a notte e secondo me più di 8 o 9 non ne vale la pena

The place looks very nice, however the room/hut had many problems.

- The lights are (too) dimmed. There is not enough light. - The place was dirty, there were many insects and especially bedbugs. We found out about the bedbugs later (with that light we could not see them) and we had to throw away a part of our luggage and take many measures to make sure not to bring them into the house. It has cost us a lot of money! - The shower had very little water and the water was cold. - The owner was quite an arrogant guy! I would highly recommend to stay away from this place!

Daniel is an amazing Man. I was a solo female (a bit worried), he made sure I feel comfortable, and I saw him checking around my room several times at night. The ambiance at dinner is so amazing (eating with other guests, the music, and the chitchat). The place is very artistic. I also recommend the safari offered by the resort, the safari guide was very nice and made sure we have fun and spot all animals. The dogs and other animals are super friendly too.

Ein ganz besondere Aufenthalt, einfach unvergleichlich!! Freundlicher Gastgeber und sehr zuvorkommendes und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Abendessen ist sehr lecker und zu empfehlen. Am Abend wird gemeinsam am Lagerfeuer getrommelt. Tier und Naturverbundenheit ist für diesen Aufenthalt eine Voraussetzung, wer dieses mitbringt dem steht nichts im Wege für ein ganz besonders Erlebnis.

Matratzen und Moskitonetze sind überholungsbedüftigt.

Das Resort ist wirklich sehr außerordentlich. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Jungel. Man merkt, dass der Besitzer viel Liebe und Kreativität in sein Resort gesteckt hat. Alle sind sehr freundlich vor allem Daniel, die gute Seele 😊 Wir haben abends zusammen mit alles an einem Tisch gesessen und Musik gemacht. Das war auch für uns eine neue Erfahrung. Wer keinen Wert auf Luxus legt aber das Gefühl haben möchte in einem Jungel zu übernachten, der sollte es buchen. Wir haben über das Resort die Yala-Safari gebucht und waren günstiger alles woanders. Die Abholung und alles andere hat reibungslos funktioniert.

Wir hatten zwei Nächte inklusive Frühstück. Leider war das Frühstück im Vergleich zu allen anderen Homestays sehr spartanisch.

Humbhaha jungle yala nature eco resort is een resort met meerdere vrijstaande huisjes. In het centrale treehouse kun je niet verblijven, daar woont de eigenaar. Het resort is mooi verzorgd en in aparte stijl aangelegd. Alles was heerlijk schoon. Wij hadden een vrijstaand huisje, met kleine veranda, betonnen banken en een tafeltje Als je het huisje binnengaat kom je in de slaapkamer, met ventilator (gratis) en airco( tegen extra betaling). Er is een luik voor het raam dat ook dient als tafel (even de poot uitklappen). Naast de slaapkamer is een een wc en douche met 1 smalle straal water. Het is een flink terrein en er leven naast de eigenaar en zijn personeel allerlei huis honden, kalkoenen en 1 jonge aap aan een ketting. Er hangt een aparte sfeer, niet verkeerd, beetje Games of Trones achtig. De vriendelijkeen behulpzame eigenaar heeft gezellig met ons gepraat over van alles. Het personeel heeft heerlijke diners voor ons gemaakt, speciaal aangepast aan mij, met mijn knoflookallergie. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk met veel vers fruit. Het resort ligt op ca. 15 min. rijden van Yala NP. De eigenaar heeft een fantastische full day safari voor ons georganiseerd in Yala NP. 's Avonds dineer je in blauw licht, wrs tegen de insecten. Het personeel is ook super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Naast 3 volwassen honden renden er ook 6 puppies rond. Leuk om te zien. Aanrader.

In het huisje was erg weinig verlichting, dat zou wat mij betreft veel beter kunnen. Dat geeft mij geen zg "eko gevoel"" Gelukkig hebben we altijd een eigen lamp mee. Verder heb ik moeite met het blauwe (blacklight) licht om in te dineren, dan schijnt mijn witte bh zo door mijn kleding. Dus jas erover aangetrokken, is weer veel te warm. Tja. En ik hou er niet van als mensen jonge aapjes aan een ketting leggen en als huisdier willen. Dan is het voor mij geen eko resort.

Los dos trabajadores que tiene Fernando son muy amables. El mono en especial súper cariñoso. Te facilitan hacer con ellos el safari Y nos hicieron el favor de contactar con taxista para nuestro próximo destino

La ubicación, hay que coger tuktuk desde Kataragama si o si para acceder. En la estancia no tienen comida si no la pides con antelación y poca carta para beber (ni cocacola, ni ningún tipo de refrescos). La habitación estaba limpia y olia bien a excepción de cagadas de ratas en el baño y alguna que otra tela de araña, aunque también hay que saber que estás en medio de la nada rodeada de animales. El wifi solo funciona en la zona de estar, a las habitaciones no llega. Y, por último, la presión de la ducha es prácticamente inexistente.

Warto odwiedzić chociaż na jedną noc dla samego doświadczenia tego miejsca. Coś zupełnie innego ale nie należy się tam nastawiać na luksusy i o to chodzi w tym miejscu, luz i chill. Do tego przyjemne safari i wyluzowany bardzo przyjazny personel.

Ich kann mich meinen Vorredner nur anschließen. Diese Unterkunft bietet ein Naturerlebnis (ob positiv oder negativ muss jeder für sich entscheiden). Jedenfalls findet man Frösche, gekos und auch Kakerlaken in der Nacht in seinem Zimmer. Man schläft halt in der Natur und das muss einen bewusst sein. Daniel der neue Mitarbeiter, ist sehr freundlich und hilfbereit. Preis Leistung war dieses Zimmer top.

Die artgerechte Tierhaltung und der Umgang mit dem Personal ist etwas verbesserungswürdig. Etwas mehr Licht im Zimmer wäre schön.

Special place and special experience staying there 🙏🙃

Staying at Fernando’s place is truly a unique experience. You get to stay basically next to Yala National Park and only a 15 minutes walk to Kataragama beautiful temples. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, we woke up to the rooster singing at 4 am and monkeys walking up and down the roof of our room... Which was great, honestly, and we still slept like babies! If you love animals, connecting with other travellers and don’t mind spending a few days literally immersed in nature, this is the place for you :-) Bonus points for Saman, who welcomed us so warmly and treated us with so much kindness, making the stay 100% better! Location davvero carina e sorprendente

Location carina in piena campagna è davvero surreale. Peccato per lo staff davvero carino all’inizio ma che dopo averci rifilato una mega truffa con il Safari a noi e una famiglia Tedesca volevano pagassimo per intero il biglietto del Safari Yala blocco 5 come se fosse il blocco 1. Anche su internet è specificato che il 5 è ufficialmente una truffa. Il proprietario di era negato al momento del check out dicendo che era andato al paese, quando stava riccamente dormendo nella struttura evitando ogni confronto ed é uscito allo scoperto solo quando ha sentito che non volevamo pagare per il Safari. La camera, decisamente sporca con cacche di geco sopra al muro della doccia che non venivano pulite da chissà quanto. Cacche intorno al letto. E il problema non è perché siamo in campagna e dagli scarichi uscivano le rane, il problema è che quelle cacche di geco erano lì da settimane! Vetro doccia e specchio sporchi mai pulito. Adoro la campagna e non ho problemi ad avere gechi e ranocchie, ma la pulizia é un altra cosa. Abbiamo chiesto il cambio stanza, ci hanno detto che non era possibile considerato che gli ospiti erano tutti arrivati, anche qui bugia considerato che una coppia è arrivata durante il dopo cena.

De locatie was prachtig, alles was uit steen gehouwen. Er is veel zorg en aandacht aan besteed. Prachtige huisjes met unieke elementen. Alle dieren (twee dierenartsen en kinderen die dol zijn op dieren) maakte het echt een geweldige plek. Samman deed echt zijn best je thuis te laten voelen met zijn enthousiasme, dansjes en zorg voor de kinderen en dieren.

Eigenaar zelf was iets nors en minder betrokken, maar dit kwam o.a. door miscommunicatie over de jam sessie die abrupt werd gestopt.
