As clean as a whistle and the lady who runs it was absolutely beautiful

Nothing! Not much around the area in the way of food and shops but a wonderful little place to stay regardless

Wonderfull family who helps with everything. We had our laundry done and took massages, which where amazing. The room is spacious and clean and we had a great view on the harbour. Lovely to spend two night here and explore the coast.

La pulizia, l’attenzione e la premura della proprietaria di casa hanno reso il nostro soggiorno più accogliente che mai. La stanza e il bagno erano pulitissimi, la signora aveva preparato tutto con cura in attesa del nostro arrivo. Cena e colazione preparate sul momento da lei e dalla sua famiglia. Abbiamo chiacchierato, bevuto tè insieme e ci hanno accolto come figlie in casa. Davvero un peccato non essere state più di una notte.

Останавливались в Mahee House во время поездки в Нивеллу, и это было лучшее решение! Сам дом очень уютный, с душой, чувствуется забота хозяев о каждой детали. Но главное, ради чего стоит сюда приехать, — это, конечно, массаж от хозяйки. Это просто волшебство! Настоящий профессионал с золотыми руками: после сеанса я словно заново родилась. Ушла вся усталость, напряжение в спине как рукой сняло, и ещё несколько дней чувствовалась невероятная лёгкость во всём теле. Видно, что человек занимается этим с любовью и глубоким пониманием анатомии, а не просто делает стандартные движения. Огромное спасибо за такое тёплое отношение и заботу. Если будете в Нивелле, обязательно бронируйте массаж, не пожалеете. С удовольствием вернёмся снова!

Mahee and his family made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. If I hadn't had to continue my trip, I would have happily stayed much longer! The place is fantastic: the room was clean, comfortable, and just a short walk from the beach. And a special mention to Mahee, she gave me one of the best massages I had during my trip to Sri Lanka! I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Super fijn verblijf, super lieve host die ons enorm hartelijk welkom heeft geheten. De kamer was ruim, schoon en voelde fris. Het hele verblijf er omheen was ook erg charmant. Verder kan je bij de host een massage boeken. Zij weet echt wat zij doet. Toen wij vroegen of wij onze was ergens konden laten doen, bood zij aan dit voor ons te doen tegen een klein prijsje. Super fijn! Het verblijf is 15-20 minuutjes lopen of 10 min met de tuktuk naar het hart van Hiriketiya/Dickwella. Dat wisten wij en was dus ook geen probleem.

Absolument tout , le rapport qualité prix est incroyable et maisha la propriétaire est un morceau de sucre , très serviable , souriante et avenante, le massage qu’elle fait est divin , l’un des meilleurs que j’ai fait en Asie jusqu’à maintenant, à surtout ne pas rater le massage qu’elle, j’en ai fait 2 de suite.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit netten Gastgebern. Zu Fuß ist man in 15 Minuten in Hiriketiya. In der Gegend selber kann man aber auch gut essen.

The owners were super friendly and made me feel really comfortable when I arrived after a long day. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable.

Superbe petite maison d'hôtes, l'hôtesse est d'une grande gentillesse. Les déjeuners sont délicieux avec plusieurs choix. La chambre est juste assez spacieuse et confortable avec la salle de bain privée. Situé à 2 minutes de marche de Blue Beach, emplacement au calme mais le centre d'Hiriketiya est accessible très facilement. J'ai adoré mon séjour!

Awesome location and a super generous and lovely host. Beautiful clean room with ensuite. We had a great three nights at Mahee house. Love the sea view and hosts helped us sort a scooter hire!

Great massage but do wash off oils quite quickly afterwards, particularly if you have sensitive skin - I did not do this which was completely my fault and developed a rash. But otherwise great massage.

Excellent séjour à Mahee House ! Mahee et sa famille sont adorables et très attentionnés. La chambre était propre avec une climatisation toute neuve et une très belle vue sur la mer et la végétation. J'ai pris tous mes petits dejeuners la bas et c'était délicieux, en particulier les crepes. Mahee House propose aussi des massages, avec un petit havre de paix dans le jardin : c'est le meilleur massage que j'ai fait au Sri Lanka ! Elle a même réussi à réduire fortement une douleur persistante à l'épaule. Enfin, Mahee est disponible pour ses hôtes pour toutes questions et m'a aidé pour la suite de mon voyage. MERCI à tous pour cette hospitalité exceptionnelle !

Wonderful stay, everything was perfect wish I booked an extra night. HAVE THE MASSAGE. It was honestly the best I've ever had, so relaxing. The breakfast was lovely, short walk to blue beach and lovely quiet relaxing environment but short tuk tuk to nearby beaches/ busy areas.

Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr gute Lage. Der Nilwella Beach liegt fast neben an. Die Besitzer sind sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück schmeckte sich sehr gut, man konnte aus dem Menü auswählen, was man gerne möchte. Es war wirklich sehr gemütlich und ruhig. Die Massage ist absolut empfehlenswert sehr entspannend und wohltuend. Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir würden sofort wieder kommend

Både jag och min syster trivdes väldigt bra här. Vi kände oss trygga och fick hjälp med bland annat att boka tuktuk, möjlighet att få våra kläder tvättade. Mahee lagar jättegod frukost, allt från grunden och anpassade även frukosten utefter våra behov. Här fick vi äta frukost i lugn och ro, inte bli störda av massa trafik utanför. Vi såg både apor och ödlor utanför vilket var magiskt.

Det fanns en del myror men det gjorde inte så mycket. Det får man nästan räkna med när lever billigt och har en liten trädgård utanför

J'ai adoré mon séjour chez Mahee's house ! J'ai bien été très bien accueillie. Les massages de Maheesha sont incroyables ! Il faut en profiter absolument si vous le pouvez. J'ai des douleurs chroniques liées à une hernie et des tendinites, et le message m'a permis de réduire les douleurs et de retrouver de la mobilité. Incroyable !!! Un bonheur ! Les messages se font à l'extérieur dans la petite cabane à l'ombre et bien aérée où on entend le chant des oiseaux 👌❤️ La chambre est très confortable, il y a la clim, la wifi. Un grand lit avec une moustiquaire bien adaptée. J'aurais aimé rester plus longtemps !

Super emplacement au calme, à coté du port de nilwella et de blue beach. Chambre bien équipée, propre et confortable avec vue sur le joli jardin et le port. Nous avons été très bien reçu. La propriétaire propose également de très bons massages relaxants.

La propriétaire est très gentille et accueillante , le déjeuner était très bon et copieux. La localisation au calme à côté de Blue Island Beach est super.

We hebben hier 5 nachten geslapen. Het is een fantastische plek. We hadden airco in de kamer, een heerlijk bed en een lekkere warme douche. We zijn zo lief en goed verzorgd door de eigenaresse en haar familie. Ook een heerlijk ontbijt genomen iedere ochtend. Vooral de Sri Lankaanse pannenkoekjes en het fruit vonden we lekker. We hebben ons ieder twee keer laten masseren en dat was by far de beste massage van de hele vakantie. We hebben via de accommodatie een scooter gehuurd waardoor we heel makkelijk en op een leuke manier op alle plekken kwamen waar we heen wilden. O.a. Hiriketiya, Tangalle, Silent Beach etc. Mega aanrader dit in een prachtige omgeving 🤩❤️🙌

Very nice room with everything you need. Very good location right at the blue island beach and only a few min. walking to the Hiriketiya Beach. The host is very lovely with a contagious smile and laughter. Can 100% recommend.

Wij hadden een heen comfortabel verblijf. Uitzicht op de zee. Een heel lieve gastvrouw. Nog eens bedankt voor de beste massage die ik in Sri Lanka heb gehad! Aanrader dus!

Tuktuk of een goede 20 minuten wandelen van Hirikiteya strand

La gentillesse de l’hôtesse, la propreté et le confort des lits. De loin le meilleur logement de notre voyage, je vous recommande d’y passer. Vous vous sentirez comme à la maison. Merci encore à la famille !

Het gastvrijheid en de kamer was fantastisch. Ook ligt het in een rustig gebied waardoor je heel lekker de drukte kan opzoeken maar ook uit de drukte kan zijn. De familie is fantastisch en lief en maken het je heel comfortabel! Ook aan te raden om de massage te nemen want voor mij was dit de beste massage op Sri Lanka!

Mahisha is so sweet, and gives a wonderful massage. Close to the beach and blue beach island which is great for exploring. The room was huge, comfortable beds, good breakfast.

The beach isn't the best for swimming, at least when we were there. But hiriketiya is not far.

Mahee and family are the perfect hosts. The location is amazing the room is so comfortable and just lovely! You definitely need to stay here whilst in 🇱🇰

A bit far from restaurants and other tourists, but right beside blue beach where you can enjoy the sea and Mahee will cook you a delicious meal if you want, so perfect for people to slow down and enjoy.

Hard to get a tuktuk if you want to go someplace near.

Mahee est absolument adorable et nous a reçu avec une grande générosité et toute sa gentillesse. Elle ne propose pas des choses par intérêt commercial, mais est ravie d'accueillir et le fait avec sincérité. Ses petits déjeuners était délicieux avec de belles portions bien garnies. L'emplacement est agréable car il est loin des touristes de Hireketiya. Seul petit bemol: pas d'eau chaude, mais comme dans 3/4 des guesthouse au sri lanka.

Ontzettend lieve eigenaresse die graag met je meedenkt. Ligging is 5min lopen van blue beach en 15min van Hiriketiya beach. De kamer was groot, schoon en de airco werkte goed. Daarnaast een mooi uitzicht over de zee vanaf het balkon. Absolute aanrader!

The most perfect stay! Maheesha the owner is so lovely with a beautiful home. The rooms were perfect and the owners were so accommodating and friendly. Just a short walk away (10-15 mins) from the Main Street in Hiriketiya. It’s also located right next to Blue beach island which is one of the things to do in Hiriketiya. Mahee House is located right next to the fishing port and beautiful Blues Beach. Maheesha (the owner) was a delight. So helpful and kind. We got to experience how a Sr Lankan family live and work. Great value and her breakfast wa delicious! The dog chorus at night is extremely entertaining!

The accommodation is a bit outside of Hiriketiya, approx a 10 minutes walk, so it's more quiet there. It's really close to the blue beach which is great. You have to book a massage there, we really enjoyed that.

Location was amazing. The room was very clean and the host very nice and friendly. Felt like home. Also the host is a masseuse and she give very good massages.

The location. You can walk to Hiriketya but you are more likely to get a tuk tuk. That being said, it is very close to Blue Beach

We booked double room with a/c. Room was super clean and spacious. Also the water pressure in the shower was great, which you can't take for granted in Sri Lanka. The owner lady was super nice and cooked great food for affordable price. Also she gives good massage, so I advice everyone to try it. Good wifi.

Location is near to Blue Beach, but otherwise there is nothing in close distance. I advice to rent a motorbike, because tuk tuk drivers ask quite high price, because place is quite remote, so you end up paying easily more than daily moto rent price during a one day just for going couple times to Hiri or nearby town. There are no restaurants near by. But on the other hand, room price is cheap, so you'll save money for other things.

Location is close to blue beach, it's in a lovely local area full of very friendly people. It is a 25 minute walk to hiriketiya town, so if you're looking to be close to town it's probably not for you. However almost every time I walked into town, a local charitable person gave me a lift. If you have a scooter it's no issue. Staff are lovely and friendly, they also do massage there.

The location is quiet and close to Blue beach which turned out to be my favorite as well! Had AC in the room and it was really clean. Mahee makes great food but also a lot of options in the area. If you want more hustle and even more option Hirikyteia beach is a 20 min walk

Amazing. The room is so beautiful with Ac, hot shower, kitchen. The best room i ve in Sri lanka with kitchen, balcon with the view on the sea and fishing boats. Really really clean. Super confortable bed. The host are family and make u feel at home. The food is also super tasty. Amazing massage also available. Thank u to all the family. Hope to come back.

We spent two days there. The family that manag it is really nice and helpful. The breakfast was really delicious. We can recommend it with a clear conscience.

The lady is very nice, he gave us a coconut when we arrived.The room seemed clean, but there are ants in the bathroom and a small lizard was hiding (probably because of the rains). The lady's massage was very very good

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. The family is very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel at home at once. It is very close to the magnificent blue beach and island. My room was very comfy and had a great ocean view. No AC, but with a nice sea breeze.

It's a bit farther from Hiriketyia than it might seem on the map.

Property is a couple of minutes walk from Blue beach and 30 minutes from Hiriketiya so lots of places to eat within walking distance. Room itself was spotless with large bed and ceiling fan. No AC but with windows open it was lovely and cool. Lovely views from window and communal balcony. Breakfast on both days was plentiful - I had an amazing 1 hour massage from the host - family running the place were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Very good value for money

Nothing not to like

Everything was so perfect. Very nice family and the owner speaks very well English. Good place (5 min walk from blue island beach), room with fan is very clean with a beautiful view!! The bed is so comfortable with a mosquito net. The bathroom is super clean and you have warm water. We tried both breakfast and it was really tasty ! The massage is amazing (I did full body and my fiancé did back and neck). Special point for the German Sheperd dog which is very cute. It’s our best homestay so far (25 days in Sri Lanka)

If you go there, ask that land lady makes massage - it makes you feel like heaven! :) Loved the place and location.

Loved our stay here. Nice quiet location surrounded by greenery and monkeys playing in the trees. Beautiful Seaview from the balcony. 4 min walk to blue beach. Room was simple and just what we wanted. Super clean. I also got an ayurvedic massage which I highly recommend. The breakfast was lovely and just such accommodating hosts. Thanks so much and highly recommend.

Very friendly family, that make you feel welcome. Quiet place, close to some nice beaches and the busy hirikiteya surf beach. You can get an amazing massage here as well, very much recommended!!

We were looking for a comfortable room in a quiet location. We found exactly that and more. The family at Mahee House is most accomodating and helpful in all regards - even organising massages or showing us where to get tailor-made dresses in the area. We did a lot of homecooking and were provided with all necessary equipment. The area is very charming and quiet at night. If you try to get away from all the rush surrounding beaches like Hiriketiya, yet still want to stay close by, you've found the perfect spot. There is always an inhouse Tuk Tuk around and they will get you quickly to wherever you want go.

The kitchen in our room was not furnished with a fridge. But no big deal - we were allowed to share the family's fridge and had access to it at any time.

Very close to the blue beach in a cute & quiet area, 5 mins from Hiriketiya by toktok that really easy to find. The family is lovely and welcoming, very nice to chat with. The beds were comfortable, the air-conditioning was great as well as the room with fan only. I'll definitely come back

Amazing host and beautiful location.

I had a wonderful stay at Mahee House. The room was beautiful and clean. The hosts were super nice. I had a very good Ayurvedic massage at a reasonable price. It is about 20 mins walking from Hiriketiya beach (a nice walk) but you are very close to the blue beach island beach, a beautiful and quiet beach that is very good for swimming and snorkelling. I would definitely recommend this place, thanks for everything!
