Zimmer und die Anlage sind ein Traum! Auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker. Sehr ruhig und gemütlich und entspannter Ort!

Der Gastgeber kann nur gebrochen Englisch. Französisch ist aber kein Problem.

On se sent comme à la maison Hamid est une personne très attachante, très simple, discret et très gentil. Dîner parfait : plat typique du Maroc (mais ce n’était pas tajine ou couscous, ouf!!), et meilleur petit déjeuner de notre séjour. Belle rencontre avec nos voisines de chambre. Riad très bien placé, très calme, deco simple et typique, au milieu d’un paysage époustouflant. Adresse à garder précieusement

What a place to stay! The room has such a character that is hard to forget. Everything is clean and we had a very warm welcome. We hoped we could’ve stay more in this place.

L’établissement est situé dans le calme totale à quelques minutes en voiture de la ville de ait ben haddou. Les chambres et espaces en communs sont très conviviaux avec une décoration typique de la région! Les plats sont délicieux. Je recommande vivement.

La posizione è straordinaria. La casa è una tipica casa berbera tenuta benissimo. L'accoglienza è tra le migliori mai avute.

L'unico inconveniente la presenza di insetti/acari che la notte ci hanno punto.

This place is extraordinary and the people are kind from their hearts to your stay. Everything is taken care of with great care and the eye for the small and very important things. It’s a very quiet spot and easy to reach. The food was amazing as well was breakfast. The extra is the view to the stars at night as well as being greeted by the red beautiful mountains surrounding this place. I highly recommend this place, for its coziness, cleanness, comfortableness and the human beings working there.

Un lieu magique. Un magnifique endroit avec une très belle déco, une chambre impeccable, très propre, riche en beaux détails. Un manager sympathique et serviable qui nous a préparé un délicieux repas. J'aurais adoré de rester plus longtemps, à l'occasion on reviendra!

Die Tigmi Hamid Lodge am Fusse von Ait Ben Haddou ist super schön gelegen, es ist ruhig dort, mit dem Auto kommt man aber schnell an die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region. Ahmed ist ein zurückhaltender und super freundlicher Gastgeber, der viel über die Region erzählen kann. Er hat uns ausserdem ein gutes, typisch marokkanisches Frühstück zubereitet. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, teilweise mit Teppichen, die Ahmeds Familie herstellt. Alles in allem haben wir den Aufenthalt bei ihm sehr genossen und würden gerne irgendwann wiederkommen.

The pictures posted by the host do not reflect the situation onsite. There is a severe lack of maintenance almost everywhere: bathrooms, almost all doors and windows, walls, even the grounds where the property sits in general. Also, the property is surrounded by areas that do not look well and lack maintenance too (they seem to be in between vacant lots and abandoned construction sites). Overall, not a pleasant place to stay. You can look at the pictures we attach herein and other low score reviews. When we arrived, the four of us walked around the premises and we did not like what we saw. We did expect humble, simple facilities (which is perfectly acceptable), but likeable and in good shape. They were not. Unfortunately, the host makes you pay in advance so you are trapped by the time you get there. We asked the person who received us (not Hamid, who was nowhere to be seen) to cancel free of charge as the premises were not what we were expecting. We had not occupied our rooms and he said yes no problem. Big mistake. Later, Hamid (seems to be the owner) said we canceled on our own and he would not refund us even though there were no other guests and we were the only ones there. He also told Booking.com that we did not show up which was obviously not true. They also told Booking that we spoke badly about the way they live which was a plain lie. We have stayed before in very simple and also upscale places but if we pay for it we demand to get something proportional in return. He loves to play the card that his site resembles a berber home. He clearly confounds broken, stained and non functional stuff with cultural or local flair... He even told Booking that we have criticized their culture and manners but we never did so. We spent 20 days in Morocco and enjoyed what it offers enormously (check my other reviews). But not this site. In brief, very complicated host, twists facts and does not honour what is expected from him which is simply a well maintained facility.

Ik heb hier maar één nacht verbleven, maar heb een super verblijf gehad. Amin is echt een ontzettend lieve man die heel goed weet wat gastvrijheid betekent. Hij doet er alles aan om zijn gasten welkom te laten voelen en dat was duidelijk te merken. Ik kwam laat aan en ben daarom direct de Ksar van Aït Ben Haddou gaan bekijken. Ik ben zelf een sportieve reiziger en vond de wandeling geweldig, maar houd er rekening mee dat het ongeveer 3 km lopen is vanaf het verblijf naar Aït Ben Haddou. Ik had de uitleg van de gastheer verkeerd begrepen en ben via de autoweg gelopen. Overdag kun je echter met goede schoenen ook de rivier volgen, waarna je direct bij de Ksar uitkomt. Dit is zeker een aanrader! In het donker lopen wordt afgeraden, omdat er veel honden rondlopen. Amin bood aan om een diner voor mij te maken, maar helaas had ik daar geen tijd voor. Volgens mij zijn hier wel extra kosten aan verbonden, maar gezien wat ik erover hoorde en las, lijkt het mij zeker de moeite waard. Ik heb uiteindelijk bij de Ksar gegeten en betaalde daar ongeveer hetzelfde bedrag. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar erg goed. Er waren geen extra kosten aan verbonden, wat ik erg prettig vond. De bedden waren comfortabel en de airconditioning werkte goed. Wel is het belangrijk om te weten dat dit geen traditioneel hotel is, maar een authentieke ervaring bij lokale mensen thuis die leven volgens Berberse standaarden. Verwacht dus geen overdreven luxe of een perfect afgewerkt hotel, maar juist eenvoud, warmte en authenticiteit. Voor mij maakte dat de ervaring juist bijzonder. Als je op zoek bent naar een volledig luxe verblijf, is dit misschien niet de juiste plek. Maar als je echt het lokale leven wilt ervaren en wilt verblijven bij mensen die met veel liefde iets moois proberen neer te zetten, dan raad ik deze plek zeker aan. Een extra aanrader: vraag Amin of hij een stukje op zijn gitaar wil spelen. Dat maakte de ervaring nog persoonlijker!

Hamid est adorable ! Un accueil bienveillant, on se sent à la maison. Un lieu au calme, magnifique et très ressourçant. Les chambres sont sublimes. Le repas chaleureux accompagné de musiques berbères. Nous avons eu le droit de l'accompagner aux tambours. Les filles ont adoré. Merci, je recommande à tous cette halte de sérénité.

Absolute Traum Unterkunft in Ait Ben Haddou. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft und die Unterkunft ist extrem authentisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Besitzer ist super sympathisch, wir würden sofort wiederkommen :)

Traumhafte, ruhige Lage etwas außerhalb. Wunderschön hergerichtete Unterkunft, sehr große Zimmer. Schöne Terrasse, klassisches marokkanisches Frühstück. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter.

Toute était parfait. Accueil familial superbe. Chambre magnifique et décorée avec goût et sobriété . Repas top. Ambiance vraiment locale et zen . Nous avons adoré.

Ahmed fue un anfitrión encantador! Disfrutamos mucho nuestra estancia y la cena de gastronomía local. El alojamiento está decorado al estilo beréber tradicional con muchísimo gusto y encanto. Es un sitio muy tranquilo sin contaminación lumínica lo que nos permitió disfrutar del mejor cielo estrellado que hemos visto. Mil gracias!!!

We booked this accommodation through Booking and unfortunately the room did not match the description at all. The biggest issue was that the room had no air conditioning, even though AC was listed in the booking description. We only noticed this late at night when we wanted to sleep. Because of the heat and constant noise from the street and barking dogs outside, sleeping was very difficult throughout the entire night. The room itself was also much smaller than expected and did not match the pictures. The additional couch/bed shown in the listing was missing. Cleanliness was below expectations as well: there were dust clumps on the floor and hairs in the bed, which made it seem like the bedding had not been freshly changed. The bathroom design caused water from the shower to spread across the floor around the sink and toilet, so the whole bathroom became wet after every shower. We also only received one towel for two people, and there was no small towel near the sink. Additionally, some parts of the room felt poorly maintained, as power outlets and the wall lamp were partly coming out of the wall. Another strange experience was that we initially did not receive a room key. When asking about it, we were first told we could simply leave the room unlocked because someone was “always there,” and only received a key after insisting. The staff was not openly rude, but overall the accommodation felt neglected and very different from what was advertised online.

A beautiful Berber house, comfortable and offering stunning views. The host was incredibly kind, helpful, and sociable, and the food was excellent. I would be happy to come back here.

Gastheer was onwijs vriendelijk en beleefd. Kregen een fijne kamer zoals geboekt. Het is een schattig klein verblijf, erg huiselijk en zo voelt het ook wanneer je er binnen komt; meer dan welkom!

Fantastic location, at a cliff with incredible views towards the moroccan surroundings. Super neat rooms and very nice staff. Good food with a beautiful large terrace to relax. Thank you again. Would highly recommend!

Very traditional architecture and very kind host. It is a small peaceful location, far from the noise but super practical if you want to stay near Ait Ben Haddou. Definitely recommended!

Hier gab es das leckerste Essen, das ich in der vergangenen Woche in Marokko bekommen habe. Schöne, saubere Zimmer im Berberstil, optimale Lage zum Besuch von Aid-Ben Haddou mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Die Unterkunft war sehr landestypisch und authentisch. Sie war sehr einfach aber liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Gastgeber waren so herzlich und freundlich, dass man sich vom ersten Augenblick wohlgefühlt hat. Das Abendessen war hervorragend jedem zu empfehlen.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich – man fühlt sich ab der ersten Sekunde willkommen und fast wie zuhause. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und in Wirklichkeit sogar noch schöner als auf den Fotos. Unser persönliches Highlight war der Außenbereich mit dem traumhaften Blick auf die Berge. Insgesamt die beste Unterkunft auf unserem gesamten Marokko-Roadtrip. Klare Empfehlung!

Eigentlich nichts – wir wären gerne länger geblieben.

Nous avons passé un séjour de deux nuits absolument fantastique et remercions chaleureusement Hamid et Chamia pour leur accueil si précieux ! Ils nous ont fait découvrir leur culture (musique, mode de vie etc). La maison et les chambres sont extrêmement agréables à vivre, très propres, joliment décorées et soignées, vraiment un service impeccable! Nous conseillons de prendre le temps de rester 2 jours, il y a plein de choses à découvrir ! Et les repas sur place sont délicieux, les hôtes sont aux petits soins pour nous apporter tout ce dont on aurait besoin. Nous avons suivi également les conseils d'Hamid pour rejoindre Aïd ben haddou à pied, c'est une jolie randonnée à faire absolument (2h aller-retour). Notre regret est de ne pas y rester plus longtemps, c'était notre plus belle expérience de tout notre voyage au Maroc!! Allez-y les yeux fermés si vous cherchez l'authenticité dans un endroit beau, paisible et confortable ! Vue magnifique.....

Le seul soucis c’est la nuit on s’est fait bouffer par des punaises de lit j’ai des boutons partout et tout mon linge a désinfecté malheureusement

Schöne, gemütliche Unterkunft im Berberstil. Sehr aufmerksames Personal. Es war sehr angenehm am Abend nochmal nach Ait- Ben- Haddou zu fahren. Die Unterkunft ist recht nah am Weltkulturerbe und man hat einen sehr schönen Blick beim reichhaltigen Frühstück.

It was such an authentic experience! We loved the view, the room and its design, as well as the staff and the breakfast.

Nous avons tout aimé chez Hamid, c'était un séjour formidable, nous regrettons de partir et espérons pouvoir revenir séjourner dans cette maison berbère confortable, belle et naturelle, avec Patio et vue imprenable. On sent la tradition de l'accueil, l'hospitalité, une décoration comme on aimerait l'avoir chez nous (materieux traditionnels et naturel, couleurs douces et chaleureuses, terre, bois paille, bambou, tadelak, etc...) On nous accueille avec du thé, Hamid prend le temps de nous raconter sa culture, il connaît très bien la France aussi, il joue de la musique, le petit déj était parfait. Si vous avez des questions ou besoin d'aide pour organiser une activité (rando, excursion dans le désert) faites lui confiance pour le conseil et le reste, c'est un homme de confiance. Ses employées dont Chaima sont remarquables, très aimables et au petits soin. Chaima est très joviale, ce fut un plaisir. Nous avons aussi très bien dormi dans notre chambre belle, calme et spacieuse, avec douche et WC, tout confort. Si vous recherchez le clinquant, passez votre chemin, ici tout est authentique. Une expérience courte mais mémorable.

Die Unterkunft hatte einen netten vibe und war sehr nett eingerichtet. Auch der Blick ist ganz romantisch und man hatte ein großes Fenster. Es gab eine Terrasse vor dem Haus mit Stülen etc., um dort zu entspannen. Das Frühstück war lecker und eine ausreichende Portion. Nach Aid Ben Haddou musste man ca. 10 Minuten Auto fahren, aber das war toll, weil man dann außerhalb von der Straße/Stadt war, in der sich die ganzen Touristen tummeln und Reisebusse parken etc. Wir konnten kostenlos vor der Unterkunft parken und mussten halt in die Stadt zum Essen fahren. Man konnte allerdings auch vor Ort esse, haben wir aber nicht gemacht. Um die Unterkunft zu finden, muss man kurz davor auf Schilder achten und nicht nur google maps vertrauen ;)

Das Bad liegt im Raum und hat deshalb keine Tür.

Struttura eccezionale in stile tradizionale berbero, con un patio interno e una sala comune molto accoglienti e uno spazio esterno molto carino e curato. Camere ampie, pulite e arredate in stile con grande gusto e funzionalità. Rapporto qualità/prezzo insuperabile. Abbiamo cenato presso la struttura e mangiato molto bene. La struttura è in posizione eccellente, vicinissima a Ait Ben Haddou, ma fuori dalla ressa turistica, nel contesto di un piccolo villaggio ancora autentico. La ragazza che ci ha accolti è stata davvero eccezionale in tutto.

Incroyable séjour avec Chaima et Ahmed qui nous ont reçu comme si on était de la famille. Très bon repas typique, la vue est magnifique et le calme et la magie du lieu sont parfait pour un séjour à Ait Ben Haddou. On reviendra les yeux fermés merci pour tout !

The staff, stay and surroundings.

Absolutely nothing.

Très belle maison de style berbère. Les chambres sont grandes, très propres et joliment décorées. Douche très chaude et avec de la pression. Le lieu surplombant la rivière est extrêmement calme et le panorama exceptionnel. L'accueil d'Hamid et de tout le personnel est parfait. Il nous a expliqué comment était construite ce type de maison en pisé. Le dîner était très bon (130 MAD par personne pour entrée/plat/dessert). Nous avons eu droit à un petit concert de musique traditionnelle. Étape à recommander sans hésiter si vous recherchez l'authenticité.

L’accueil chaleureux de Hamid, sa sympathie, sa disponibilité et ses conseils. La maison traditionnelle est très jolie et confortable, la vue de la terrasse est magnifique. Le tout au calme.

L’accueil est sincèrement gentil, le cadre est magnifique et les soirées musicales sont un vrai régal . Nous avons bien mangé , dormi , rit, chanté et dansé, nous vous remercions beaucoup . Les saint Gaudinois 😘

Nos encantó lo auténtico que es y el trato recibido. Esta un poco apartado pero en una loma y con bonitas vistas.

We hebben een hele gezellige avond doorgebracht met de host Chaima en de mensen van de locatie. Chaima is heel muzikaal, we hebben samen muziek gemaakt in de prettige woonkamer. Bijzonder lieve en gastvrije mensen en verblijf

Le personnel est exceptionnel. Sheima est partout, toujours le sourir. Ambiance chaleureuse le soir, avec des chants berberes, des percussions La localisation est parfaite. Calme et a 5min d Ait Ben haddou. Facile d acces en voiture depuis la route. Piste tres rapide depuis la route bitumée.

La chambre est type berbere mais modeste pour le prix. Ca manque un peu de charme, decoration, confort.

De locatie was prachtig en schoon. Personeel was erg vriendelijk.

Un séjour absolument incroyable dans ce riad ! Dès notre arrivée, on a été accueillis comme des amis, avec une gentillesse et une attention rares. Le lieu est magnifique, plein de charme, calme et parfaitement entretenu – on s’y sent tout de suite bien. Un immense merci à Ahmed pour son accueil exceptionnel, sa disponibilité et sa bonne humeur. Il a vraiment rendu notre expérience encore plus spéciale. Ce sont des rencontres comme ça qui font toute la différence en voyage. Je recommande les yeux fermés, et j’espère vraiment revenir un jour !

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön gelegen mit einer tollen Aussicht. Es war sauber, hatte einen gemütlichen Innenhof und eine schöne Terrasse. Das Frühstück war gut und das Bett sehr bequem.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt und war definitiv ausreichend. Der Aufenthaltsraum war sehr schön gestaltet, sodass man sich hier gerne aufhielt! Außerdem war das Bett sehr bequem.

Die Anreise war mit unserem Kleinstwagen etwas holprig, da man noch ca. 300 Meter über kleinen Feldweg (mit kleinen und auch größeren Steinen) fahren muss, um an der Unterkunft zu parken.

Prachtig authentiek hotel, met ongelooflijk vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten en super ontbijt. De inrichting van de kamers is simpel maar oh zo mooi en rustgevend. De locatie is perfect! We genoten ook van muziek 's avonds...

Alles top! Authentisch, wunderschön und das wahrscheinlich beste Essen, welches wir auf unserer Reise hatten! Auch die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und machen alles, damit der Aufenthalt unvergesslich bleibt (am Abend mit Musik und Tanz)! 😊

Un bel hôtel familial décoré avec goût, au calme, et un petit concert privé de musique berbère bien agréable.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr süßes und authentisches Haus aus Lehm (wie es in der Gegend üblich ist) mit wunderschönen Innenhof, Garten und Aufenthaltsraum! Das Zimmer war ebenfalls sehr schön eingerichtet! Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Gastgeber überaus freundlich! Sie haben uns mit einem Tee und Datteln empfangen!

Das Zimmer war staubig und nicht sehr sauber! Wenn man duscht, ist das gesamte Badezimmer nass, weil es keine Duschkabine gibt!

Un endroit exceptionnel, tant pour l'emplacement (le calme, la vue sur les montagnes arides et l'oued), la gentillesse de l'hôte et la qualité du repas du soir. Nous avons logé dans la chambre familiale typique, parfait pour 4 personnes.

Logement merveilleux, et hôtes exceptionnels!!! On a chanté et dansé avec Ahmed, Chaima et Issam. On a eu un accueil merveilleux et on reviendra!!! La nourriture est délicieuse. Je recommande les yeux fermés!

Freundliches Personal, Musik am Abend, Essen war gut, ruhige Lage

Matratze war sehr hart, in der Nacht war es sehr kalt-nur eine sehr dünnen Leinendecke (dicke Wolldecke vorhanden aber für uns sehr unhygienisch), kleiner Heizstrahler war vorhanden aber funktionierte nicht, Abends gab es nur mehr kaltes Wasser zum Duschen

Decoration, salle commune, vue et situation, gentillesse et simplicité de l'hôte. Très bon petit déjeuner. Bien indiqué.

Sanitaires spartiates (coin douche). Notre chambre était un peu petite mais la majorité sont visiblement plus grandes et agréables.
