Most exceptionnal hotel I did in my entire life to be honest. It was truely amazing, the staff is so kind and helpful, the breakfast is amazing, the facilities are wonderful, an 11/10 is the note I would give if I could!
The grounds are magnificent.
The food was substandard. Also, we booked for 2 people to go by donkey to the Unesco site and it was a rip off. One donkey while the other person had to walk for forty five minutes to reach the site. Once at the site, we were asked to pay a further 300 MAD to climb up the Hill.
What a joy it was to experience Ksar Ighnda. So surprised to discover how perfect and beautiful the gardens and pool were. Worth every penny. Very welcoming.
a longer stay
Staff, venue and facilities
The Ksar is a lovely oasis in a gritty town with limited historical or other cultural attractions, so this Ksar truly feels like an oasis in Ait Benhaddou. The interior courtyard, the architecture, and the rooms were all beautifully designed. The view of the mountains from the terrace was breathtaking. The prices are very reasonable, so this is a good value for your money.
--The food was a bit mediocre, except for the breakfast, which was good. The wine selection was limited and of lower quality. Some Spanish reservas, Chiantis, and French wines like a provencal rose should be added to the wine list and would be appreciated. (The wine list was limited to Moroccan, and not the best ones available in Morocco.) --This oasis is located in a gritty town with limited historical or other cultural attractions. Nearby Ouazarzate -- a 15 to 20 min drive -- is probably the better more interesting town in which to stay. --We had to wait 15 minutes for the receptionist to return so we could check out.
Good ambiance.
The room is not comfortable, the toilet sink is soooo small, one can hardly use; the shower is also not nice, not a price value.
The staff and decoration
The main dinning rooms were closed due to low season. Also the gym is pretty average but you are not in the area to spend time in the gym ;)
We loved the location and the hotel. Good service. Good setting Good breakfast.
Dinner buffet was lame... Not good quality and not always well presented. Would prefer a la carte menu
Beautiful and very comfortable property with an amazing staff.
The Ksar is quite a nice facility, and the central garden is very nice. We also found the wait staff in the resaurant excellent.
However, much to our surprise, after checking-in, we were led out the front door, out the front gate and down a relatively dark street to the building where our rooms were. No joking, the central garden (the main selling point in the advertising) is nice but we were almost as close to the main highway as we were to the central garden. I suspect the hotel was overbooked with bus tours, but I don't appreciate get shoved out to the 'overflow' area. At the very least be very careful about selecting what room or suite you want (pool, river and garden views seem to ensure you are not shoved off in a corner. Additionally, beware that the facility, and especially the restaurant seems to be heavily tailored to large scale bus tours.
The location, service, the room.
Add more light in the rooms.
It is different from regular hotels. Staff is very nice. Internet was OK. Spa was good. Food was good. Location is close to the Unescu heritage site.

The massage
The air conditioner was not working The beds were hard and uncomfortable the bed sheets were rough like cardboard and no soft at all the hotel is nice but if you are not going to sleep and relax doesn't worth any penny spend on it. The massage was the only good thing and the view but I didn't sleep the whole.night.
Beautiful Grounds/gardens. Very spacious room with lovely furnishings
Buffet dinner was quite expensive and really catered for Group tours. Our most expensive accommodation on our whole Moroccan trip, but not the best place we stayed at. I guess the price reflected how remote the location is, but wasn't worth it for one night (arrived late, left early)
Everything was so unique. The spa was amazing, and they had a great pool. Their breakfast and dinner was delicious.
That we didn’t stay but one night!
This is an amazing hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful… we were upgraded to an amazing suite overlooking the mountains and with views of Ait benhaddou. Food in the restaurant was buffet style on the second night because of a big trip in, but was varied and of food quality. The bed was a bit hard for us. All in all I couldn’t recommend it more.. exceptional.
Nothing
It is not a 4star. The rooms are very average. We booked a suite and a standard room. They said they have upgraded us to both suites. Which was useless as the upgraded one was old and not even a clean bed. As was here only for a night, managed.
Loved the design and esthetics! The people were very welcoming but as soon as you drive up, you feel like you’ve traveled back in time while having all the comfort you’re used to!

Very friendly staff in the restaurant.
The common areas of the hotel are neat and impressive, while the rooms are spacious but could use some improvement. It was windy at night, and we could hear the sound coming through the wooden frames. There was also mold in the bathroom, which had a foul smell. The biggest disappointment was the policy and service at the reception. On the first day, we asked if there were bikes available. We were given two bicycles, which we used for four hours. However, on the day of checkout, when we returned the keys and tried to leave the parking lot, they wouldn’t open the gate for us. We were told that we owed a certain amount and couldn’t leave until we paid. This situation was unacceptable! I couldn't understand why they had the right to prohibit us from leaving. After about 15 minutes, a receptionist came to inform us that we owed €80, which was €10 per hour for the bikes. When we protested, she raised her voice, insisting that these were the prices in Morocco and that they were more expensive than in Europe. We tried to negotiate the fees, explaining that we were never informed about the charges, especially not at those prices. The receptionist laughed and said, “Did you think it would be free? Hahaha...” In the end, we paid half of the amount. Having traveled for 15 years and being a hotel owner on a Greek island, I found this behavior to be unworthy of any guest and not representative of authentic Moroccan hospitality. I will not stay at this hotel again, and I suggest you think twice before booking here.
Amazing customer service, every member of staff was there to help and very friendly!!, gorgeous hotel and felt very safe in the area
This place.. Just book it.... Really exceeded my expectations. We actually came back later again. The hotel works a lot with tour groups (that arrive at night and leave in the morning), so during the day you might have it all to yourself. During september, there were barely any people anyways.
The food at the hotel is the only downside. And there are not a lot of alternatives around.
Nice architecture
Pls varian menu
We have spent a wonderful time at this hotel. Service is top notch, breakfast is one of the best ones we have had over our stay in Morocco. View from the rooms (Suite) are great and rooms are very spacious. The pool is nicely fresh, quiet and well decorated. Options at the shop are great too. The hotel is nicely decorated and very typical in general. The gym is quite complete. We will definitely be back and would recommend that place without any hesitations. Note that a car is needed to visit the Kasbah (8min ride by car), but they also have bikes to rent if needed.
Very beautiful
The whole place is ideal I suggest requesting a large room. The food is great, staff fantastic and I will absolutely return and bring others. One amazing miracle is their ATM machine in the lobby. It gives you as much money as you want and believe me...ATM's do not exist in the villages on the ride to Ait Ben Haddou...so finding a cash machine was heaven.
Pillows were a bit stiff, bed quite firm.
Location
Price of the room vs pictures. They sell you suite room on picture only. Economic room is a disaster.
This hotel was beautiful and in a good location, food was good and the staff were mostly lovely.
Our check out experience was appalling. We had pre paid via booking.com which was evident from our booking confirmation and showed on their computer system, however there was clearly an issue on their side of the software which meant they couldn’t see the credit card information, and although we had paid for our room, we had to pay again. The receptionist was difficult and wouldn't accept the confirmation email we had, and the fact that the money had come out of our account, and didn't believe that it was an issue on their system. A few days later they contacted us to say that they had in fact been paid by booking.com and so could reimburse us for the fact that we paid twice. However, we are now 5 weeks on and we still haven't been refunded, so we are left having paid twice for this hotel and a refund that is taking far too long to come through.
Beautiful. Well kept. Worth the drive from Ouarzazate. The rooms were great with excellent views. Clean facilities. Would absolutely stay again.
The food was decent. Drinks were good and staff was outstanding.
The hotel is beautiful and it is well situated.
Although breakfast hour was till 10am they start taking everything off sooner. For what you pay a night the service could be better.
Beautiful spot! During our stay they seemed a bit understaffed for the volume of guests.
Close to Ait Ben Haddou, beautiful hotel, staff is nice
Very expensive for average quality. Rooms are a bit old, food is average (more like a big holiday resort than a nice *** hotel). Quite fresh welcoming, no attention to details
Beautiful hotel with great staff and service. The food however was lacking as was the WIFI throughout the hotel. It was almost nonexistent making it quite difficult for those of us that had some business related activities.
Staff were very friendly and attentive.
So much building construction going on and many workers just roaming everywhere. Didn’t feel comfortable walking alone. Pool is not heated, although that’s what I was told, unless you like an icy cold dip during the winter.
This is a little gem. The staff are lovely and helpful and the rooms are very clean.
There are a lot of renovations going on around the property, perhaps due to the earthquake so there was a lot of construction noise. That could not be helped though!
it is a nice Kasbha and Located 5min from Ait Ben Haddou. It was easy to find and access. Location view are stunning. The design of the buildings are very nice and traditional. Pool area looks very nice and welcoming. It was simply to fresh to swim but will be a great refreshment in the hot season.
The breakfast buffet was okey, i expected more from the room rate but all in all it was okey but not great. The Bar closes at 22:00 which i found a little early, since there is not much to do.
Property is excellent , but rooms are basic , with minimal place to walk around. Bathroom was also basic. WC room is smallest I have seen ever
Rooms can be done upwards inline with their pricing
Close to Ben Haddu
Booking process poor. Hotel systems and processes more important than customer service
The hotel is in a great location close to Ait Ben Haddou. Staff were attentive. Food quality was good in the bar area and a mixed buffet in the main dining area. There is a lot of new building work going on around the property which when finished will create additional accommodations. As of October 2023 the work is in process. We were in the last rooms available which were the 'economy' rooms which were not in the main building, small but comfortable. When we return we will book the suites in the main building! Excellent bar with a good selection of beverages.

We booked the hotel and when we arrived at the hotel and we discoved it was closed. We were not told and we had no where to stay! We have tried to get our money back for the booking but the hotel do not respond to any messages and have not given us any information. They have not returned our money! Our recomendation is not to book with this hotel. We think it is a scam!

Incroyable atmosphère de sérénité. Décor très soigné.
I booked 2 budget rooms for 2 couples , I got the confirmation showed that total price for 4 adults about 190Euro and taxes 8 Euro 2€x4 pax. When we arrived there they told me that the reservation is only for 2 people and they changed us 30€ extra for extra 2 beds or to book other room. Even the price for 2pax or 1 pax is the same price as mentioned on booking.com The dinner is very expensive 30€ p.p because you don't have too much options to eat outside the hotels. I shared a proof of my reservation below to be careful before you book with them.
Nothing. Insanely unprofessional and very disappointing service and conduct. Beware.
BEWARE OF SCAMMING HOTEL! Hotel cancelled our pre-paid accommodation on the day of our arrival a month ago and we still haven’t received a refund. Hotel ignores all emails and calls both from us and booking. Absolutely ridiculously - nothing like anything I’ve ever had to deal with! Hotel cancelled on the day of our arrival due to the earthquake even though the area wasn’t affected. This was obviously very much understandable and we did nothing but prayed for them. This last minute cancellation however meant that we already lost hundreds on our flights as we couldn’t take the trip. However we expected a refund for the accommodation as it was the hotel that cancelled and did so literally last minute, an hr before our flight departure. Nevertheless, there was no mention of a refund and we still haven’t got our money back. We have sent half a dozen of emails and attempted to call many times but no answer. They ignore booking as well. Unbelievable.
Excellent hotel, very good staff, great breakfast, stunning gardens surrounding the pool, excellent location for Aït Benhaddou.
New team of staff who are really doing their best to provide you the best service possible. They listen to your needs and adjust. The hotel is definitely in an upward spiral with the new management and staff. The place itself is incredibly beautiful and has a great vibe.
Room is comfy, but requires some little fresh updates.

location was great. best hotel in town.
breakfast and dinner buffets were limited. Vegetable foods I expected were limited.
breakfast was very nice - buffet style! The grounds of the property were wonderful. Landscaping beautiful. Very relaxing atmosphere - super clean. Great choice hotel
we chose a standard room : a little too small for us - had to put our suitcases on the floor - but we staid only one night , so not a huge deal.
Good restaurant. Swimming pool. Main building.
Extremely small and stuffy room. Never stay in rooms started with 8. It's far away from the main building and very poor. It was impossible to sleep. No fresh air. The small window looks to the internal ladder and gives no sunlight. Also, the door of the building was closed, and they didn't provide the key. You have to walk to reception and ask to open it all the time.
Everything about the property is absolutely beautiful! I would like to highlight a few of the top moments of my stay: 1. I have never met more friendly and attentive team. They treated us with such kindness and made our stay that much more enjoyable. 2. The landscape and architecture of the property is unmatched and made us feel like we were living in paradise. The hotel has the most beautiful garden and pool space where we were able to relax and enjoy. We enjoyed soaking up the sun and reading our books. 3. The uniqueness of this hotel is an experience in itself. It feels like a paradise palace in the middle of the Moroccan dessert. I will definitely be coming back on either a girls trip or even romantic getaway. 4. It is easy enough to get to from Marrakech with buses and private taxis taking you through the Atlas Mountains. It is also about a 30 minute taxi from Ouarzazate Airport. I could go on and on about my stay here but I’ll leave it here. Thank you Brahmin, Zaharia, Raheel, and Erik! We will definitely be back for another trip of a lifetime!
Loved location and ease of checking in
Buffet breakfast was out of eggs and pastry for a long time
The property is beautiful but that’s all it has to offer.
The people at the reception is very racist, and disrespectful. The property is beautiful but that’s all it has to offer. The food is terrible, we cannot eat it. One of the worst experience ever. The reception people lied about not having a room with garden view, so I have to booked again using booking.com to get a better room. They said “NO” firmly when I asked them for an upgrade. Very Bad experience. I will not recommend the place to anybody.
Great location
the food served was Buffett style and with the tour groups, the food was picked over and Luke warm.
beautiful architecture well designed.
the staff not helpful they don’t smile.
The location was a little strange, once we learned where it was in comparison to Ait Ben-haddou we were happy we were close enough to the site but far enough from the crowds. The meals were good. The attention to detail in the rooms, the grounds and design/architecture was noted and absolutely stunning. This property is definitely a destination! 10++++
The food was good, not great. There were many choices but unlike most of Morocco where most meals are made fresh, there were parts of the buffet meals that were not freshly prepared. Everything else was great which made up for this detail but maybe room for improvement for the food.
We stayed for the night on our way to our desert camp. It was such a delightful surprise. The expansive property is so beautiful, the staff incredibly kind and helpful. The spa and hammam was great. The hotel manager, Eric, delighted our daughter was an impressive card trick at dinner. I highly recommend!
the property was very clean, extremely well designed and decorated with taste
the rooms were a bit dim, and some rooms are sort of out of the hotel complex
everything is good besides its a little bit overpriced, and the dinner is expensive too.
This is an old Kasbah that has been renovated. the courtyard with the swimming pol were surprisingly big, spacious and very well manicured. Very nice place to relax. It has some terraces upstairs with amazing views of the mountains on which the sun sets with orange and pink colors. Gorgeous
We had a standard room which ended up having one small window only facing the inside of a small courtyard so there was hardly any daylight inside the room. I must mentioned the room inside was very well decorated, beds were comfortable and bathroom and powder room had everything we needed. Sadly, the hotel was fully booked that night so we couldn't change rooms. Despite this, I would go back to this hotel but would ask for a room with a bit more light.
nice infrastructure close to Ait Ben Haddou
we were unlucky with the room, the toilet was very dark and humid
The building and the facilities are really beautiful!
Not enough food or drinks for the guest during the dinner time and breakfast time!
A really great place. Pool is great, the garden is amazing.
Dinner was 300 dr per person way too much.
