Nice view on the ocean and the owner was super nice ( very nice welcome cocktail in from of the ocean).

It was quite dirty, the bathroom was leaking water on the floor directly. We paid a lot for what has been offered.

Indika has a really lovely place here and an absolutely beautiful family. What I enjoyed the most was being able to chat, take walks along the beach with his wife and play hide and seek with his gorgeous daughter. The family were so welcoming and accommodating. I was really grateful for the help Indika gave me to book an early tuk tuk to the bus station so I could make my connection. The food at the restaurant is delicious and really well priced. I stayed in the room with the balcony and it was a real treat to have some chill time and hearing the crash of the waves outside my window. The property is rustic, but I felt it was really good value for money. Thank you Indika and Sangita for such a lovely stay. I wish you all the best for the future.

Not a huge problem, but I couldn’t work out how to get the hot water to work!

The staff was good to us INITIALLY and the location was nice. Despite having no screens to watch the football world cup finale the manager arranged a projector and stayed up all night to facilitate us

They gave us a bedsheets that had holes in it from the moment we checked in and during check out they tried to blame it on us despite us being non smokers and having no iron to do it in the first place. The bathroom was clogged with water and there was 2 pillows for three of us and we had to sleep one night without a pillow. During check out the staff lied and was very rude. Becareful if you are staying with them.

Lovely clean and spacious room, delicious food, but most of all, the beautiful family who hosted us.

While the location of this villa is great, the service was incredibly careless and disappointing. I stayed for one night and woke up to find my car which was parked in the villa’s designated parking space covered in cement dots from a nearby construction site. ​I immediately reported it to the staff and I cleared my windscreen so I could drive (they gave me a salt water bucket and a sponge). I went back to my room to pack, but by the time I returned to the car, it had happened again. The staff completely failed to inform the construction workers after my first complaint. To make matters worse, when I confronted the owner, he casually told me he "forgot" to mention it to them (even no one apologized), and I ultimately had to pay out of pocket for a cut and polish on my bonnet to remove the cement. Beautiful location, but the absolute lack of accountability and respect for guests' property makes it impossible to recommend.

Indika, our host, was super welcoming and is just a sweetheart! The room had a perfect beach-view, including the sounds of crashing waves during the night. The food was super delicious and the daybeds were perfect for a nice beach chill out. Absolutely recommend!!!

Helaas niet, vertrokken omdat de accommodatie niet aan onze verwachtingen voldeed..helaas komen de foto’s niet overeen met wat er aangeboden wordt. Personeel was super lief, we kregen een welkomst drankje bij binnenkomst, ze deden echt hun best en wij hebben kosteloos kunnen annuleren toen bleek dat de accommodatie totaal niet leek op wat wij geboekt hadden. Ze kunnen beter realistisch laten zien wat de accommodatie in houdt om teleurstelling te voorkomen.

De locatie, aan een verlaten stuk strand, niet mooi, overal ver vandaan. Primitieve accommodatie, guesthouse voor echt een veel te hoge prijs. Mede door de misleidende foto’s kwamen wij met de verkeerde verwachtingen en kon het niet anders dan tegenvallen. Jammer..

Hotellet ligger på stranden, og de har gratis solsenger. Upåklagelig beliggenhet. Fornuftige priser på både opphold og i restauranten. Personalet var veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme.

Líbilo se nám vše. Lokalita, kuchyně v restauraci, mimořádně přátelský personál, který si naše děti naprosto zamilovaly. A majitel, který dokázal zařídit cokoli. Až se vrátíme zase na Srí lanku. Rozhodně zvolíme stejné místo.

Only thing is that our "sea view" room didn't really have a sea view, we weren't directly on the beach, we were behind some seats from the restaurant

Sicuramente la vista dalla camera perché sei direttamente sulla spiaggia.

L'hotel se così si può chiamare é una discarica a cielo aperto. Probabilmente stanno effettuando lavori di ristrutturazione (che secondo me vanno avanti da tempo) ci sta fuori pure una testata del letto. Le foto non sono proprio veritiere. Il prezzo della camera é troppo alto per l'alloggio che ti offrono. Abbiamo prenotato una camera deluxe ma di deluxe non ha proprio niente. Ho letto recensioni che dicono che le camere sono basiche...ok il basico ma li non c'è proprio nulla. Le prese elettriche non funzionano. C'è una presa convertita universale che fa scintille quando inserisci la spina. Nel letto non esiste lenzuolo per coprirsi, inoltre ho dormito con sotto il telo della spiaggia perché il materasso pizzicava la pelle. Ho dato esclusivamente tre stelle solo per la vista il resto non é proprio da considerare. Il mare é mosso quindi crea molta difficoltà a dormire a me personalmente ha agitato. Non lo consiglierei al momento per come é messo ora.

Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte. La stanza era pulita e molto bella, affacciata sul mare. È anche possibile fare i pasti direttamente sulla spiaggia in un baretto semplice, bello e caratteristico. Passeggiata sulla spiaggia al tramonto molto piacevole. Lo Staff molto gentile e disponibile.

This place was paradise. We were lucky enough to stay 5 nights at Indika and it was perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They made us feel relaxed and welcome. We enjoyed breakfast, dinner and smoothies at the restaurant, which I would also recommend. The sunsets were phenomenal and the staff always gave us good advice for other local beaches. Galle is a beautiful place. Thank you Indika. We will remember this place in our hearts forever.

A lovely family, and a great location! It really felt like paradise! It was our first two nights in Sri Lanka that we spent here (I am writing this review after 10 days in Sri Lanka). We got greatest value for the food we ordered here, with an incredibly complete breakfast for only 1000 Rs (including roti, curry, sambal, omelet, fresh juice, coffee, tea). The price per night was relatively high compared to other accommodations that we had later on our trip - but still not expensive. The owner explained that it is very costly to maintain an accommodation directly on the beach because of the damage the sea water causes. And they really took very well care of this little paradise. Also good to know that you can book a very newly built apartment with AC and also great views or a room with ventilator. We had both because we were 7 people and we loved both!

We did not have mosquito nets, which almost was a reason not to book here. In the end there were no mosquitos at all , so it didn’t matter. But I think it will attract more guests if mosquito nets would be provided.

Location, by the beach and quiet.

We had the most wonderful stay at Indika’s Beach Villa. The location is so beautiful and sleeping listening to the waves is special. The food was incredible and Indika is a warm and friendly host. We celebrated my 31st birthday and Indika went above and beyond to get me a birthday cake and even let off a big sparkler - couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Just to note that the rooms do not have air con but they do have a big fan and you get a lovely sea breeze!

Indika, his wife and his crew made our stay with their friendliness and professional attitude unforgettable. We loved our room upstairs with a full view over the thundering ocean, the waves our lullaby. As we were there at the beginning of the rainy season, the sea took the beach, but only a few metres away was a big sandy beach that was lovely. But the best part was the common area, facing the ocean, where also the locals enjoyed spending time and having a drink. We ate every dinner and breakfast there and the food was fantastic. Thank you very much! Just to be clear, as someone mentioned before, don‘t expect luxury or you will get disappointed. We loved it very much!

Such an amazing property, literally 4 steps from the beach. The upstairs rooms have a view of the most stunning sunset The owner and host, Indika, is a such a nice, down to earth man and looks after his guests so well. Just a short bus or tuk tuk into galle. We came last year and will be back again next year for sure.

Stayed at Indika Beach Villa and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip. Indika, who runs the place, is such a warm and wonderful human — we had some great conversations with him. It’s a family-run spot with the sweetest staff, a super cute dog, and the kind of peaceful vibe that makes you instantly feel at home. The food was delicious (we’re still thinking about those meals!), everything was super clean, and the view? Unreal. It’s got that private beach feel without the fuss — just pure, laid-back magic. Highly recommend if you’re looking for comfort, connection, and calm all in one place.

Fantastic stay, the most wonderful family run b&b - the food and Indika’s company was an absolute highlight. Stay here if you want to stay outside of the much too touristy Galle but you can still pop in.

Loved my stay at Indika's beach villa. It feels super private and I really enjoyed my morning walks on the beach. It's a great place to relax and reset. The breakfast is really good, too, especially the coconut roti. I slept well on all nights and extended my stay. Indika and Sangeeta were the perfect hosts! Thank you

Great vibe, beautiful place, best stay in Sri Lanka! They save and protect turtle eggs until they born, we have brought baby turtles to the sea this morning! 🐢

You could hear the waves, if you are a light sleeper bring ear drops.

My friend and I loved the location at the beachfront! You can relax on the sunbeds that are provided & eat and drink delicious food at the beach cafe that comes with the villa. We were very happy that we didn’t book a room directly in Galle. Would recommend everyone to stay here and take a Tuk Tuk to explore Galle if you want to explore the old town of Galle.

Loved the ocean view cabin. Absolutely made the stay with that view out to the Indian Ocean. Every morning I went into the balcony and watched the sea crash onto the beach. Indika and his team were absolutely wonderful hosts. The food was the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka and I’ve stayed all over the island. If you want a unique stay with a family feel to the place then come stay here. I highly recommend Indika Beach Villa.

After spending 24 days in Sri Lanka and having hit and miss accommodation, I was thrilled to stay here and experience true beach living. The sea view room is exactly that. You wake up and walk into your balcony that is on the beach. 30 seconds later you can be in the sea. Indika is a fantastic host and his knowledge of the country is excellent. Whilst here he knocked at our door after we had turned in to let us know a turtle had appeared to attempt to lay eggs on the beach. We then respectfully at a distance watched this event unfold. True magic that cost nothing. He chatted to us to explain what was occurring. The food was fantastic, and when I asked for the devilled chicken I was asked how hot I’d like it. Little touches like that mean a lot. The whole team work hard and clearly care about the business, the area and the environment. It’s so refreshing… highly recommend.

Beautiful, large room right next to the beach. With a balcony overlooking the sea. We kept our doors a little open so the seabreeze and soothing sound of the waves crashing comforted us to sleep. The owner is a very chill and nice person, willing to help you with planning trips etc. The food in the restaurant is amazing! We had a very wonderful stay 🫶🏻

That we didn't stay longer than 1 night...

Indika and his team have got a great thing going here. So warm and welcoming as soon as we arrived and a great vibe throughout our stay - so chilled whilst making sure you have what you need. We were in one of the rooms without a view which we were initially concerned about but it really isn’t an issue when the beach is literally 30 steps from the room. The room is a good size with good bathroom. AC and fan were ideal. We had 5 nights here and didn’t think to eat anywhere else - the food is so good and great choice on offer. The fish is super fresh and delicious. The beach is so nice and quiet and the sea is good for swimming (once you get past the breakers!). Indika taught us how to play Karam and we had some great games with him and the team during our stay. Overall, awesome team, awesome place. Istuti Indika!

The upstairs room with the balcony is just the dream place you have in mind when thinking about your stay by the beach in Sri Lanka. The bathroom is simple, but with a window on the ocean and the palm trees. No better way to get up in the morning! I loved the big windows for the light, and the quietness of the place. The restaurant is located on another building, next to the room so you don’t have any noise though you only have to go 1 meter to get the best food of the beach. Try the chicken chilli! Finally, Indika was the kindest host I had so far. He’s always thinking about the well being of his guests and keen on sharing!

Arrival was like getting the biggest hug!! The welcome from Indika was amazing he literally went above & beyond t make us comfortable. It is situated on the beach & it’s very private & personal. Sleeping facing the ocean on a fabulously comfortable bed with the sound of the waves was a highlight of our stay.

Amazing gem of a place right on the beach. The room was super comfy, and the location / beach just perfect. Their restaurant serves the best fresh fish of the day (a must have), and Indika and his team were beyond helpful. And even sorted us with a local bus to Tangalle. Very grateful! The sri lankan breakfast is awesome value and delicious. We just loved our stay here.. so much that we're going back there for our final 3 days in Sri Lanka😊

Location and view was far better than expected ☺️, staff were friendly and food was good . End of the day it was an amazing experience.

Set right on the beach so the sound of the ocean was incredible. Room was basic but comfortable. The food was great and reasonably priced. Indika and the rest of the guys were really friendly and helpful. Used as a base for visiting Galle, 15 mins away by tuk-tuk and very cheap.

No hot water but wasn't really cold either so not a big issue. Overall everything was great and really good value for money.

It is accessible & beach front

The location of my room is right in the middle of the hall. It feels like there isn’t any privacy.

We cannot enough stress how much we loved staying with at this hotel. Indika is a fantastic host, he cooks the best fish, and really makes you feel at home. The location is amazing and the whole family loved it. It is 4 inutes from a turtle farm, 4 minutes from elephant riding and 20 min from Galle and really fun surfing. It is really REALLY good value from money. Would def go back next time I come to Sri Lanka,

This is the best place I have stayed in Sri Lanka and possibly in the world. What a hidden gem!! The location is absolutely stunning, right on the beach facing directly west with the most amazing sunsets every night. The staff are incredible, it’s a super welcoming family business run by Indika and as a solo female traveller I really appreciated the personal touches and time they took to sit with me and chat. I had everything I needed and more. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Perfect location right on the beach, 20 mins to Galle fort. Indika and his family are great hosts including a very smart 2yr old! So polite & helpful throughout our stay. Foods great ate here a few times and couldn’t fault it. Large basic room, clean.

Close to a pretty busy main road mixed with the violent sea can be pretty loud at night but didn’t bother my bf so depend on u. No view from room but we didn’t pay for one specifically so didn’t expect one. All great tbh

This villa is like a dream - directly on a very quiet and clean beach. The facilities were great and the host very kind and helpful. The food at the Indika restaurant was also so good, highly recommended.

Difficult to swim due to large waves

The property is perfectly located right on a serene, uncrowded beach, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The hospitality of the host and his family is exceptional—they are welcoming, attentive, and make you feel at home. The combination of the idyllic location and outstanding service made the stay truly memorable.

There was nothing to dislike—it was a wonderful experience from start to finish.

That was probably our favourite spot during our stay on the island. We were supposed to head to the central regions, but due to the weather situation in the mountains, returned for two more nights after our initial three. The place has the best atmosphere, right by the seafront and Indika was a super kind, welcoming and helpful host, along with his lovely family and of course dear Shadow. The food was really delicious and as for the waiting times mentioned by some below, it was more of a catch-of-the-day situation (husband really loved the chance to fish on the beach himself, also!), so that can really be expected and is absolutely worth it.

Very nice villa with a wonderful view, located on a secluded beach. The hosts, Indika and his family were very attentive and friendly, they treated us like guests in their own house. They recently opened a restaurant next door with delicious food. We enjoyed the company of Shadow and the other dogs that visited the villa constantly.😍 Villa was clean, we had towels and soap. This place is perfect for few days to explore the beach side, we totally recommend it. Thank you Indika and family for hosting us!

The water in the shower was cold in the evening, I think it is warm only during the day. Also a mini fridge would be great in the room, but I’m sure if needed, the hosts can help with keeping your stuff in fridge if requested. Because it is a simple wooden house on the beach, during night time is a bit noisy because of the waves and insects and lizards can come in, for us it was ok but other tourists should be aware of it.

You really can't beat the location! I got one of the rooms (which was large and had a comfy bed) with a balcony and it was fantastic to sit watching the waves. The food was top notch too, and the service from every single person! Indika, the owner, organised a tuk tuk to Galle town, and was always available and attentive.

It's basic, in that there isn't hot water or air conditioning or toiletries. But it's worth the rustic stuff for being right on the beach!

Even out of all the luxury hotels in our tour. This place was the best.. Indika is a gem of a person and the food here is delicious. Starting from the organic juices to full meals everything was great. The waves crashing onto the shore will simply make you extend your stay here. Its the closest villa i ever saw to a beach❤

What a kind and helpful host family. They were so kind in sourcing and packing unexpected luggage in boxes and very very kind to let us keep our bags there until the evening. Everyone was super friendly, including the dogs! You are RIGHT on the beach which makes for lovely walks and a stunning sunset. Air con worked well.

It feels disloyal being critical when people are so very kind, but here is our honest review. The place is located on a small strip between the busy road and beach, so very noisy. The playlist of a few songs was on repeat and in competition with the reggae bar a few meters away. Vaguely warm water, bathroom door didn't close, not terribly clean, the food was unbelievably oily. Totally not anyone's fault but a warning for other travellers, old usd dollar bills aren't accepted and this turned out to be a huge problem. The room is great with a/c on but otherwise stuffy and the smell wasn't great. Galle Fort is quite away away and cost 1,000 rupees in a tuktuk. Sorry for not giving you a good review Indika, but we stayed at cheaper places that were exceptional.

Everthing. The best owner and helpfull staff. Indika is very kind, Thanks to him I was able to fix a problem I had and I resolved it. It helps you with everything you need. I really recommend this accommodation, right in front of the beach. Perfect accommodation, everything very clean, spacious, quiet and clean. The restaurant next to the beach is very good and very well priced, with a lot of variety. I 100% recommend staying if you plan to go to Galle and surrounding areas.

Indika Beach Villa is a dream. Direct location by the sea, not a tourist spot, which means you can totally relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food at Indika is delicious! The stay at Indika Beach Villa is very familiar and a special experience. Indika and his family also live there and are super nice and treat you like family. For example, Indika took us to the fishermen and explained to us how everything works, when we wanted to go to an ATM he took my friend with him on his scooter, he had small fish prepared and we were allowed to eat with him. Indika really does everything for you. We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time.

A wonderful hotel on a beautiful coast with a very nice family. A place in the style of an island, clean rooms, exceptionally tasty and always fresh food. We felt at home thanks to the wonderful atmosphere. We came as tourists, we are coming back as friends :) We will miss you! See you next time, thank you 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Indika was the greatest host you can wish for. He is such a nice and welcoming person and ready to help with everyhing. And so is the whole team. On top of that, we have found a new friend. You will feel a warm and authentic atmosphere and the spirit of a community. And not yo forget - the food was so delicious! We spent 4 nights here and couldn't find anything better then this. The rooms with ocean view were exactly what we were loooking for.
