Reviewed Sep 16, 2026Cost efficient comparing to the other riads I stayed at. Very quiet location, hidden in the alleys, so there is no street noise. Surprisingly, the best breakfast of the all my other riads. Hana is a very pleasant and welcoming host and does her best. Overall, it's okay, but there is quite a lot of room for improvement.
It is not easy to find it at all, I'd suggest providing a guidance for guests. They confused my arrival time by mixing up AM and PM, so I ended up standing in the alley waiting for someone to open the door. My room was rather dark, not at all as in the pictures. Overall the property feels gloomy and a bit neglected. The air inside is very stuffy and poorly ventilated, especially in the courtyard, and the rooms can smell of the kitchen as there are no outside windows.

Besitzer Mostafa auch super lieb, wir haben einen private Stadttour bei ihm gemacht, die super spannend und lohnenswert war!! Mega schöne Terrasse. Lage ist perfekt, um die Medina zu erkunden. (Den Geruch fanden anfangs etwas auffällig, aber wir haben erfahren, dass das das Zedernholz ist, weil die Materialien im Fes alle jahrhundertelang restauriert und repariert werden statt sie neu zu machen. Der Geruch kommt also von den schönen Türen, die über 300 Jahre alt sind.)
Zimmer ein kleines bisschen dunkel.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Abbiamo soggiornato in questo dar durante il nostro viaggio a Fez. Vorrei iniziare dagli aspetti positivi: la camera in cui abbiamo alloggiato era pulita e ordinata. Non abbiamo trovato sporco e ci siamo sentite a nostro agio durante il soggiorno. Anche la signora che ci ha accolte è stata molto cordiale e disponibile.
Purtroppo, però, gli spazi comuni lasciavano molto a desiderare. Durante la colazione abbiamo assistito personalmente a una situazione poco piacevole: alcune posate sono cadute a terra e sono state semplicemente rimesse sui tavoli senza essere sostituite o lavate. Inoltre, la qualità del cibo ci è sembrata piuttosto scarsa. Burro e marmellate venivano riutilizzati su più tavoli e in giorni diversi, e abbiamo avuto l'impressione che parte degli alimenti serviti non fosse fresca ma avanzata dai giorni precedenti. Potrebbero però utilizzare delle ciotole più piccole così non viene sprecato il cibo. Un altro aspetto negativo riguarda la posizione. Se da un lato permette di vivere la medina in modo autentico, dall'altro ci siamo trovate spesso a disagio come due ragazze che viaggiano da sole. Nelle vicinanze diversi ragazzi ci hanno seguite, insistito per ricevere mance e, in alcune occasioni, ci hanno anche toccate senza il nostro consenso. Naturalmente questo non dipende direttamente dalla struttura, ma è un elemento che ha influenzato in modo significativo la nostra esperienza e che ritengo utile segnalare ad altre viaggiatrici.

Reviewed May 22, 2026Très bon accueil. Riad très beau, bien décoré, propre. Toit terrasse agréable. La dame qui s'occupe de l'hôtel est très gentille, attentionnée et soucieuse de nos besoins. Pas de bruits la nuit. Bien situé dans la médina. Le nom du Riad est bien indiqué sur les murs dans les rues autour. Suivez les indications.

Reviewed May 12, 2026Die Unterkunft war top! Wir hatten ein 2-stöckiges Zimmer mit einem nett eingerichteten Bad und Zimmer. Es war sauber und es gab Kleinigkeiten, wie genug Kleiderbügel, Shampoo, Fön, etc. Das hat den Aufenthalt noch besser gemacht. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lecker und großzügig. Die Hausdame war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man hatte auch die Möglichkeit im Riad Abend zu essen, aber wir haben immer außerhalb gegessen, weil es doch relativ teuer war. Das Riad liegt relativ verwinkelt, aber dadurch ist es doch ziemlich ruhig.
Am Anfang war niemand in der Unterkunft, aber nach einem kurzen Anruf beim Besitzer kam die Hausdame angeflitzt vom Einkaufen und wir konnten rein. Also kein großes Problem eigentlich :) Ein paar mehr Lampen bzw ein helleres Licht wäre schön, vor allem abends.

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026Nous avons énormément apprécié notre séjour à Dar Kenz Fès qui est très bien entretenu, très propre, bien placé dans la médina de Fès dans un quartier calme et en même temps proche des commerces et visites touristiques. C'est un très beau et agréable Riad. Nous avons adoré la terrasse rooftop et surtout l'accueil très chaleureux de Hanae, d'une immense gentillesse, qui nous a préparé de très bons petits déjeuners variés et un diner succulent. Un vrai cordon bleu ! 🥰 Un grand merci également à Mustapha le propriétaire qui nous a très bien accueilli et surclassé !

On en a fait des riads, mais franchement un accueil comme celui-là fait beaucoup la différence! Nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit, s'était trop court mais nous reviendrons chez vous avec grand plaisir. She helped us organise transfers to the airport, where we were accompanied through the medina to the taxi to ensure we got there safely. Our flight was early in the morning so she packed us a breakfast the night before. Hannah went above and beyond and I could not fault her service - we are very grateful! Room was beautiful and spacious with everything we needed. Highly recommend this Riad for Fes!

Reviewed Apr 13, 2026Der Service in diesem Hotel war wirklich hervorragend. Wir wurden direkt vom Flughafen abgeholt und bis zur Altstadt von Fes gebracht. Da man mit dem Taxi nicht weiter in die engen Gassen fahren kann, hat bereits um 1 Uhr nachts ein Hotelmitarbeiter auf uns gewartet und uns sicher bis zur Hoteltür begleitet – ein wirklich toller Service, für den wir sehr dankbar sind. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet und die Zimmer waren sauber und gepflegt. Ich kann dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen! 100%

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026Wir wurden herzlich mit Tee und Gebäck empfangen. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas versteckt aber dank den Wegweisern auf der Hauswand gut zu finden .Die Lage ist sehr gut. Es war alles sauber. Wir haben für 15 € pro Person in der Unterkunft gegessen. Es war sehr lecker. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026La gentilezza di Hanna è senza dubbio un punto importante per questa struttura. Molto pulita la stanza e con tutto il necessario. Il bagno molto pulito e funzionale. La colazione è buona e la posizione veramente ottima per visitare la medina ma non essere nel caos.
Non è colpa degli host ma la struttura non è facile per trasportare le valigie fino al secondo piano, vista la scala stretta con gradini irregolari. Potrebbe essere utile per chi deve partire avere la possibilità di fare colazione già dalle 8 e non alle 8:30 (primo orario disponibile)

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026Tutto perfetto, la signora che si occupa del posto é stata super disponibile e gentile e la stanza in cui abbiamo dormito era super in ordine e pulita con arredamento in stile tradizionale ma comunque molto accogliente. Inoltre si trova a pochi passi da Bab Boujeloud quindi comodissimo per visitare il resto della Medina ma anche Fes Jdid e avere accesso al resto della città con i taxi. Consiglio vivamente!

The room's windows open into the large central room / courtyard. This gives you somewhat worse ventilation and less privacy. But I understand this is normal in riads, so I was expecting it.

Reviewed Mar 11, 2026Destacar la excelente relación calidad-precio del alojamiento y la ubicación. Está a 10 minutos andado de la puerta Azul y a 5 minutos andando de las calles principales de la medina pero a su vez está en una zona muy tranquila en la que no tienes ruido ninguno para poder descansar. Dar pequeño y sencillo pero con todo lo necesario y la habitación estaba completamente equipada con todo lo necesario. Todo estaba muy limpio. Buena presión de agua en la ducha, agua caliente y aire acondicionado en la habitación (frío o calor). La atención de Hana es otro aspecto a destacar, se preocupa de todo lo que necesitas, te organiza el transfer de ida y vuelta al aeropuerto y te viene a buscar ella o otra persona tanto a la llegada como a la hora de irte (Fez es un autentico reto para tu orientación y ubicación de las cosas) ya que no se puede llegar en coche hasta el alojamiento. También le encargamos cena la noche de nuestra llegada y nos preparó varios platos locales y estaba todo exquisito. Le puedes preguntar sobre cualquier tipo de recomendación. Repetiría mi estancia sin ningún tipo de duda!!!
La atención del dueño vía whatsapp a nuestra llegada al aeropuerto. Tenía que estar el conductor esperando con un cartel con nuestro nombre y no estaba (llegó 15 minutos más tarde). Su respuesta se limitaba a decirnos "que estaba allí, que miráramos el cartel con nuestro nombre y sigue buscando". Creo que tiene fácil solución llamar al conductor y que te diga que está de camino y que llega en un momento. Todos los servicios extras al alojamiento tienen precio "europeo" y en euros (comprensible, pero pagamos lo mismo con el transfer de ida y vuelta al aeropuerto que de alojamiento con desayuno para 2 días). No nos avisaron que la puerta del alojamiento que da a la calle tiene truco para abrirla si está cerrada con llave (acabó viniendo un chico a ayudarnos sin mayor problema pero depende la hora y si no tienes respuesta podría llegar a ser un problema). Al final son detalles que no empañaron nuestra maravillosa estancia pero creo que son fáciles de solucionar para que la experiencia sea de 12 sobre 10.

Ci ha preparato una cena veramente ottima con tantissime pietanze tipiche marocchine, e la mattina dell’ultimo giorno ci ha anche preparato la colazione da portare in aereoporto visto che ci siamo alzate molto presto. Veramente un’ottima esperienza e lei una persona squisita

Also the owner was very responsive and helped us. Good breakfast. Very comfortable bed! A spacious and clean room. Would recommend! Amazing value for price!
The location was a bit dodgy, but that is just Fes.

Hanna es absolutamente encantadora, se ha portado genial con nosotros en todo momento. Nos ha encantado nuestra estancia y si volvemos a Fez repetiremos seguro. Shukran!

- The passage between the window and the bed is too small - we had a few injuries - The toilet seat doesn't work - I saw other guests write the same thing, but in the meantime nothing has been done to fix it - The breakfast is one of the worst in Morocco - everything is bought in large retail chains - artificial juice in the middle of the orange season, store-bought jams, hard bread, etc...

Le petit déjeuner était très bon mais nous pourrons s’attendre à un jus d’orange frais ( surtout en pleine saison) et le plus sera la spécialité de Fès ( bidh bel khlii)

Reviewed Dec 26, 2025L’accueil, l’hospitalité et la générosité de cœur de Hana qui a été aux petits soins pour nous. Son sourire est à l’image de sa générosité. Sa cuisine savoureuse et variée permet de découvrir les spécialités locales. Moustafa le propriétaire est lui aussi attentif au confort de ses hôtes ; il nous a mis à disposition des parapluies lorsque cela était nécessaire.
