Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Abbiamo soggiornato per una sola notte invece che per le 3 originariamente previste a causa di un errore nella prenotazione. Eravamo in 4 e la prenotazione era stata confermata solo per 2, ma il proprietario ci ha concesso di utilizzare ugualmente la camera. Nonostante abbiamo dormito in 4 in un letto matrimoniale, il letto era abbastanza comodo. La camera si affacciava su una piazza in centro città, ma non siamo stati disturbati dai rumori. La posizione è perfetta per la visita della città, in pieno centro storico, e offre la possibilità di visitare tutto a piedi. Un ringraziamento particolare al titolare e sua moglie, che sono stati molto gentili e comprensivi.
Le dimensioni della camera e del bagno sono un po' troppo limitate, anche per le sole 2 persone previste, e l'arredamento andrebbe forse un po' rinfrescato, anche per quanto riguarda le aree comuni (da contare però che siamo in centro storico, e anche il palazzo è storico)

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Κεντρικο κατάλυμα, τοποθεσία που βολεύει για τα αξιοθέατα της πόλης. Ευρύχωρο δωμάτιο, καλός κλιματισμός, καθημερινή τακτοποίηση και καθαριότητα. Κάτω από το κατάλυμα λειτουργούν μπαρ, κάποιες φορές ίσως εχει φασαρία αλλα εμένα δε με ενόχλησε καθόλου. Σε κοντινή απόσταση επίσης, μαγαζια για καφε και πρωινο και ιδιωτικό πάρκινγκ επίσης

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Location was perfect, totally ungeneric and was charmingly funky. It had a lot of character and enhanced my experience of being in Portugal for the very first time. Public transport is close by, and tons of major attractions and restaurants are a very short walk away.
Placement of bed in room could have been easier to walk around. Uber driver drop-off was not in front but a half block away along a park, and Uber pickup was also difficult to understand without scrambling over tram tracks like a headless chicken while sending desperate messages begging the driver to help find me. Take the time to figure out a better pickup spot before calling an Uber to the airport.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026La camera si trova in una posizione ottima, a due passi dalla movida di Porto, ma nonostante questo non si sentiva minimamente il frastuono (abbiamo preso la stanza che non affaccia sulla piazza). Il letto era molto comodo mentre i cuscini erano fin troppo duri, li ho trovati molto scomodi.
Il bagno è molto piccolo ed il copriletto era macchiato quindi pulizia rivedibile.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026We liked the location, private bathroom, loved that they put us in the back so that we didn't hear much of the outside noise (students out eating, partying), very responsive on text, staff always available, and they had A/C.
Although photos give the impression that breakfast is included, it is not, though you're close to a lot of pastry shops. The decor could use some modernization and it would be nice if they had laundry facilities.

Para quem não conhece, não é fácil encontrar a porta de entrada, não á nenhuma sinalização exterior que indique a Residencial Caldeira. Cama muito desconfortável, inexistência de água quente ao meio da tarde. A limpeza é muito duvidosa.

La pulizia lasciava a desiderare (le mie lenzuola avevano macchie incrostate di sangue). Il rumore proveniente dai locali al piano terra proprio al di sotto delle stanze fino a notte fonda era insopportabile e non permetteva di dormire. I proprietari sono gentili (e hanno un cane carinissimo) ma comunicano poco.

Habitación correcta, el baño un poco justo pero todo en orden, limpio, la cama cómoda y el aire acondicionado y la tele funcionan perfectamente. Los propietarios muy amables, me guardaron el equipaje tanto a la llegada como a la salida. A nada de la librería Lello y la Torre Clérigos.
La terraza daba a una plaza que por las noches estaba concurrida, es una zona de copas. Lamentablemente no está bien aislada del exterior, por lo que el ruido no permite conciliar demasiado bien el sueño.. Por suerte el cansancio me venció 🙂!

I do feel sorry for them that the park is a local party spot, but also support locals living their lives. They hey have done well to mitigate the sound by fitting double glazed doors and keeping the gorgeous wooden ones. Lovely embroidered cushions and an independent vibe. Try and get on contact to book a back room if you don't want the noise. The air con needs an upgrade.

Das Badezimmer war nicht so sauber. In der Dusche war ein Duschvorhang statt einer Glastür

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Die Lage ist sehr zentral und daher für einen Kurztrip nach Porto ideal. Die Dame beim Check-In spricht zwar fast nur Portugiesisch, aber war sehr nett und äußerst bemüht. Zimmer hatte alles, was man braucht, klein aber völlig ausreichend.
Rund um das Haus befinden sich viele Studentenbars, die auch bis spät nachts noch lauten Betrieb haben. Wenn man es also ruhig mag, muss man auf ein Zimmer nach hinten bestehen. Ab einer gewissen Uhrzeit wird die Haustür unten abgesperrt, die sich mit dem Zimmerschlüssel nicht öffnen lässt. Man muss also klingeln und warten, bis jemand kommt. Auch morgens war es schwierig, jemanden zu erreichen.

Reviewed May 17, 2026Estaba muy bien ubicado, muy céntrico. Al lado de varios monumentos, de un parque bonito y era la zona peatonal.
Nos dieron la habitación de delante donde la fachada, una segunda planta, son 3 plantas y justo al lado, debajo hay varios bares con terrazas. No se pudo dormir nada, hubo escándalo y música hasta las 5 de la mañana y cuando por fin se van, aparecen los equipos de limpieza que también hacían ruido. Quedaron restos de cristales en la calle. No estaba limpio. Había una mancha en la sabana de abajo, la mampara de la ducha no estaba bien limpia tenía chorretes de la bayeta. El suelo no estaba bien barrido. No nos importa que los muebles o puertas sean viejos pero si deseamos que esten en buen estado y sobretodo limpios y aquí a parte de mal pintados los azulejos del baño, las puertas y el armario, este último olía a humedad, había ropa en un cajón que olía mal y había sucio en la puerta y cajón del armario. El váter estaba muy viejo la tapa se movía y por dentro estaba con manchas de desgaste, no estaba blanco deberían echar productos que lo limpien bien. No se correspondia con las fotos que tienen, ni siquiera la fachada y el comedor, en las fotos parece otra cosa.

La posizione e la passività del personale: la pensione è letteralmente sopra una serie di bar della movida locale, e anche dopo la loro chiusura ci sono schiamazzi e musica fino all'alba. Ci hanno dato una stanza al primo piano su strada - per cui sentivamo già tutto- e in più il balcone era rotto e non si chiudeva. Quando l'abbiamo fatto presente alla signora, lei ha detto che non aveva altre stanze da darci e che in fondo andava bene così, e che se avevamo problemi o per farci rimborsare dovevamo vedere con Booking. Il suo totale menefreghismo ci ha veramente scioccato. Per farla breve, non abbiamo chiuso occhio tutta la notte. Ah, il bagno non è finestrato.

La struttura è vecchia all'inizio sembrava un disastro..pero alla fine si è rilevato un ottimo hotel.

Reviewed May 5, 2026Very cute, clean room in a convenient neighbourhood in Porto. Very helpful hosts! They lent me an umbrella and also arranged for my taxi to the airport in the morning.
It was student graduation so there was some loud partying going on outside. The windows and shutters blocked most of the noise out, thankfully. If I hadn’t have had an early flight the next day, it wouldn’t have disturbed me. Maybe I would have even joined the party :). I’m guessing the rooms at the back would have been quieter as well; if you’re sensitive to noise, might be a good idea to request this.
