Un peu cher pour un guesthouse Bien situé mais impossible de sortir à pied. Des chiens méchants vous attendent de tous les cotés. Dommage car les commerces sont tout proches. Heureusement les tarifs des taxis (moto et voiture) sont abordables. Pas de chasse d'eau. Il faut le faire manuellement avec un seau. On s'y habitue mais au début c'est déroutant.

Reviewed Sep 13, 2026Locatie is top en personeel zeer vriendelijk. Ook het restaurant leuk gelegen en vriendelijk bediend. Lekkere ijskoffie en prima ontbijt.
Duurste kamer, raft kamer. Alles wat aanwezig was was kapot of vertoonde defecten, zoals, airco werkte, maar druppelde constant. Toilet/douchedeur kon niet dicht, was kapot. Slapen onder 2 handdoeken in plaats van een dekbed of deken of iets. Er lagen ook allemaal haren van andere mensen. Douchekop lekte meer uit de slang dan uit de douchekop kwam, waardoor douchen niet te doen waren.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Un logement particulier sur la rivière. Bon rapport qualité prix. Le restaurant de l'hôtel, ouvert de 7h00 à 23h00, est exceptionnel ! Niveau nourriture et surtout le paysage.
Ceux qui cherchent le confort, ce n'est pas adapté. La salle de bain est particulière. Avant de réserver, demandez-vous si vous êtes d'accord de laisser de côté votre confort pour cette expérience.

I had to change rooms after my first night. It might have been me but I was unable to get hot water for the shower in the second room. Having already had to change rooms I did not bring it up with management. I probably should have.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026I personally wanted a raft house on the River Kwai - and here it was! Very nice guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff, amazingly comfortable bed, watching the river go by on the terrace - it doesn’t get better than this!
These things did not bother me but it’s important to say - the rooms are spartan, the bathroom very basic. As long as you are used to traveling in Asia and don’t expect a 5 star hotel, you’ll be happy!

Reviewed Jul 21, 2026I really wanted to be ON the River Kwai and the raft room did not disappoint. Lovely little restaurant here too and very friendly personnel. Extremely comfy bed, short walk to Thai-Burma Railway museum if that’s what you’re doing, also a street with not only European food nearby
The bathroom is very basic, but if you’re used to travel in Asia then everything works, it’s clean. Make sure you ger a room wirh a/c!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Proche de la gare ferroviaire, cadre sympa avec vue sur le fleuve, et restaurant de l'hôtel agréable. On nous a proposé de payer un supplément de 225 thb (pour 2 nuits) pour avoir la clim dans le logement. A 30 min de la gare des bus
Bruits de marteau à 7h45 juste à côté de la chambre, pas de fenêtres, attention pour y aller il faut passer par une rue, d'après google maps, avec beaucoup de chiens qui semblent vouloir vous dévorer ^^. Ne pas y passer avec des enfants surtout. Si vous cherchez un endroit dépaysant c'est super, mais il n'est absolument pas insonorisé donc si vous avez un sommeil léger vous risquez d'être réveillé tôt le matin.

A floating raft house at 700 baht also feels like a steal. Facilities are clean and there's a nice river view from the balcony.

Room was quite big but felt a little bit derelict. Felt uncared for, also whilst it was advertised there was no aircon it made the experience slightly uncomfortable.

The laundry was a bit expensive . Better to walk to the laundromat which was close . A jug in the room to make tea or coffee would be good but not real important .

Die Unterkunft entspricht nicht mehr heutigen Voraussetzungen. Sie hat ihre besten Tage weit hinter sich. Die sanitären Einrichtungen der Apartments direkt am Flussufer sind katastrophal. Es gibt keine Druckspülung. Man muss mittels eines Schöpfers aus dem Wassertrog seine Extremente in den Fluss spülen. Die Einrichtung passt in die 70er Hippiejahre für Aussteiger.

Da evitare una stradina con molti cani potenzialmente mordaci, e' comunque segnalata. Meglio tenure la sinistra all'uscita dalla Guesthouse seguendo il fiume.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Preis-Leistung stimmt hier absolut. Direkt auf dem Fluss zu schlafen ist einfach mal was anderes. Der kleine Balkon ist mit Stühlen ausgestattet. Im Restaurant gibt es lokale und westliche Gerichte.
Es gibt weder Wasserkocher noch einen Kühlschrank. Wer Angst vor Hunden hat, sollte in diesem Viertel immer Taxi fahren. Selbst tagsüber sind sie aggressiv.
