Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Wundervolle Unterkunft, wundervolles Grundstück, wunderschöner Garten. Der Gastgeber ist ein unglaublich herzlicher Mensch mit einer ganz toller Energie. Ich kam schon vor dem eigentlichen Check-In an. Ich durfte meinen Rucksack ablegen und mir die Zeit nehmen meine Sachen zu packen und Schuhe zu wechseln, sodass ich direkt neben an in das Restaurant gehen konnte mit tollem Außenbereich, um dort meine Beine hochzulegen und zu warten. Ich habe frisches Wasser aus den Bergen zum trinken bekommen und durfte noch vor Check-In meine mitgebrachte nasse Wäsche aufhängen. Wer Tipps möchte ist hier genau richtig. Der Gastgeber hat mir per Whatsapp geschrieben wann mein Zimmer fertig war und ich durfte noch vor der eigentlichen Zeit in mein Zimmer, welches wie ein Zuhause eingerichtet ist und von welchem aus ich durch das Dachfester den Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer beobachten konnte. Ich habe mich als alleine reisende Frau unglaublich sicher gefühlt und so tief wie seit Tagen nicht mehr geschlafen. Er hat mir sogar gesagt, dass wenn auf meinem weiteren Weg nach Caminha etwas ist ich ihn kontaktieren kann und er versuchen wird mir zu helfen. Diese habe ich nicht benötigt, aber die Geste ist einfach nur toll. Ich kann diese Unterkunft von Herzen empfehlen! Danke an den Gastgeber, der uns die Türen zu seinem wundervollen Zuhause öffnet und selber Zuhause sein lässt.

Er hat uns Äpfel aus seinem Garten gegeben, Tipps für unsere Reise und wie wir unsere Schuhe für mehr Halt binden können. Die Unterkunft war klasse und Horácio war super zuvorkommend und freundlich. Eine absolute Herzensempfehlung

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Podkrovní pokoj se sdílenou koupelnou (sdílí se jen s jedním pokojem vedle). Výhled na oceán. Na zahradě posezení a bazén. Za malý poplatek k dispozici pračka. Horácio je skvělý a velmi pozorný hostitel. Dal nám spoustu dobrých doporučení pro naše camino. Když zjistil, že má dcera ten den narozeniny, šel nám koupit dezert. Doporučuji nejen pro noc na caminu, ale klidně i týdenní dovolenou (na pláž je to z domu pár desítek metrů).

Классная зона отдыха во дворе, возможность постирать и посушить вещи, что особенно актуально для тех, кто идет Камино. Совсем рядом очень уютный ресторанчик. Недалеко от пляжа и от двух путей Камино. Ну и хозяин - выше всяких похвал! Научил меня шнурки завязывать :)

Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Sehr sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, gibt tolle Tipps, es gibt einen kleinen Pool im Garten Ab Carreço morgens früh loszuwandern ist großartig! Landschaft eine Mischung aus mediterranem Klima und schottischer Küste mit Heidekraut und Ginster und dann das Meer!!!

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Die Unterkunft ist in der Nähe vom Jakobsweg, sowie zu ein paar Lokalen. Das Zimmer ist eher klein, aber sehr sauber. Unser Gastgeber, Horacio, war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Das Zimmer ist über eine schmale Wendeltreppe zu erreich und das Bad ist eine Etage darunter.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Horáció Papa Háza a Camino mentén van, de Viana do Castelo túlsó végén. A hídon túl, a központi vasútállomástól taxival gyorsan el lehet ide jutni, és a fogadtatás mindent megér. Horáció a legjobb házigazda, vízzel kínál, és segít vinni a csomagodat. Az ő háza nem csak szállás, hanem egy otthon. Horáció angolul, franciául és spanyolul is beszél, és a legjobb vendéglátó, akivel találkoztam. A szállástól pár méterre egy 0-24 patika is van!

We stapten de Camino, uiteraard vooraf voorbereid. Bij aankomst werden we onmiddellijk toch wel erg overdonderd met allemaal info over hoe we het best deden terwijl we zelf wel vooraf alles bedacht en gepland hadden.. Dat voelde wat opdringerig…en niet zo vrij, ook al zal het wel met goede bedoelingen zijn geweest..

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Wir wurden überaus freundlich von Horacio empfangen. Es war wunderbar in seinem Haus zu Gast zu sein. Das Zimmer unter dem Dach war gemütlich und sehr sauber. Das neue Badezimmer sehr schön. Mit guten Tipps und Wünschen wurden wir am nächsten Morgen von Horacio verabschiedet. Es war ein herrliches Erlebnis und etwas besonderes auf unserem Jakobsweg. Wir sagen nochmal recht herzlichen Dank

There was only 1 roll of toilet paper provided for 2 rooms rented out, so the toilet paper was already finished in the evening. The 2 rooms are very noisy, so you can hear everything from the other room. Check out is at 10AM, but around 09:20 the host already knocked at my bedroom door to tell me the cleaning ladies would arrive at 09:30.

Ich habe mich gleich zu Hause gefühlt. Ich kann es nur Jedem empfehlen, auch unabhängig vom Camino. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Reviewed Jun 15, 2026When I arrived the wonderful host helped me plan my next two days and showed me a new way to tie my shoes to prevent blisters. He was the sweetest host I’ve had. As a young solo female traveler he is someone my dad would appreciate to know is along the way. He also gets his own water from the mountain nearby and it was the most wonderful water ever. The pool was a nice spot to relax my muscles in after my walk as well.

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026Il proprietario Orazio fa la differenza in questo soggiorno. Arrivi stanca e c’è lui che ti aspetta con l’acqua e ti porta lo zaino in camera. Mi ha dato anche tutte le informazioni importanti per il cammino. La casa è molto pulita e accogliente. Il giardino con la piscina è bellissimo. La posizione è ottima!

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Es fehlte an nichts. Ich kann diese Unterkunft mit Pool und wundervollem Garten und den Gastgeber Horacio sehr gut weiterempfehlen. Ein Restaurant ist gleich neben der Unterkunft.

Ein erfrischendes Bad im Gartenpool oder die Orange vom eigenem Baum. Viele Tips zum Camino runden den gelungenen Aufenthalt ab. Horacio, Du machst einen „Great Job“ …Ich werde Dich weiter empfehlen - von mir gibt es 5 *****

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026Fantastic location. Comfortable bed. Horácio the host was so kind and generous. His orange tree was the most juicy and sweet orange I’d ever had in my life. As a Camino walker he understood our tired feet and ensured close food. As a single woman who is walking the Camino he was very sure to make sure you feel safe and secure. For a little extra I was able to wash my clothes - a luxury! His pool to soak your tired feet in at the end of the day is a lovely treat as well.

Hij vervoerde ons, tegen een correcte vergoeding, zelfs naar Spanje, gaf uitleg onderweg en bezorgde ons een heater omdat we het koud hadden. Hij gebruikt zijn kamers optimaal. Hij verwees ons naar een dichtbijzijnde locatie om te ontbijten. De ligging aan de Camino en dichtbij zee is perfect!
